Spacious & bright, the Upper Room is your glamp headquarters as you explore Northern Michigan.

Savor morning coffee in the MCM-styled studio before you take the ferry to Mackinac Island, or shop & dine in Petoskey or Harbor Springs, or rock-hunt at one of the nearby beaches.

Take in spring sunrises, summer sunsets, fall colors, and countless stars year-round--then retreat from your adventures to roast marshmallows on a campfire, or stay in with wine & a movie. Then do it all again tomorrow.

The space
The apartment is a studio above the garage with queen bed, love sofa, dining table and chairs, TV, and a dry kitchenette equipped with toaster, Keurig, mini fridge, wine glasses and mugs. The apartment's French doors open onto a large deck.

We're calling the space "glamping," because though it's a leap above a tent and a few steps above a yurt or RV, it still has its rugged quirks:

-The bathroom is in a separate building. Guests may use the bathroom and shower in the main house, about 100 feet or a minute's walk from the space. This is the bathroom we use, but while the apartment is occupied we primarily keep it private for guests. Guests of the Glamp Apartment may also use the composting outhouse (shared with camping guests).

-The apartment has no running water, though a water dispenser is freshly filled for each of our guests (and of course the bathroom in the house is fully plumbed).

-The space is conditioned with a window A/C unit and fan when it's warm, and a space heater and extra blankets when its cool.

Guests have shared use, with other tent/RV campers, of a fire ring and deck with views of Lake Michigan.

Other things to note
As mentioned, the bathroom is not attached to the apartment, but guests of the Upper Room can use the bathroom on the main floor of the house, or the composting outhouse. The bathroom in the house, with shower, is about a 100 feet from the deck; about a minute's walk down a hill and around the garage.

Typically, during the school year the house bathroom is heavily trafficked by our family while preparing for school/work, around 6-8 in the mornings. Other than that, we try to keep the bathroom available and private to our guests.

We also rent spaces for tent camping and RVs on our property, so expect to see others (especially during the summer).

We have a Harbor Springs address but are closest to Cross Village. It is a rural property, which means it gets very dark, and a certain kind of quiet--quiet filled with the noises of birds, coyotes, and a squeaky windmill.

The Charlevoix House is an 8 unit B&B located in a central location in Charlevoix. Each unit has its own theme. This listing is for The Fishing Suite. The unit has refinished hardwood floors, was recently painted and the furniture was recently purchased. There is a king and futon in the main sitting area and a full in another small attached room/den. Every suite/room has its own private bathroom.

It is 15 minutes to Boyne Mountain Skiing, with Water Park, mountain biking and, Sky Bridge!

Welcome to the estate! Spend time in nature by unwinding on acres of breathtaking, wooded property. This custom-built cabin is the guest house to a stunning 7,000sqft home that shares 20 acres, but tucked down a private path far in the woods from the main house. Our guest cabin is perfect for a small group or those just looking to escape! During your stay, enjoy full access to the property for grilling, snowshoeing, bonfires, petting the horses and more. Ski resorts & golf within 5 minutes!

The space
This cabin is a studio with a kitchenette and full size bathroom. Kitchen has everything you'll need for a few small meals with a full size fridge/freezer, toaster oven and induction cooktop for appliances + an outdoor grill. Enjoy cozying up to a gas fireplace. As a studio there's a bunk bed (lower queen, upper twin) and a queen futon. The loft with two more queen beds is accessible by a ladder. This loft is crawling space only and not safe for kids. The full bathroom has beautifully tiled stand up shower.

Other things to note
Again this is the guest house. It's very private and a long ways from the main house on the property. We do often rent the main house through Airbnb as well so other guests may be on the property at the same time. This cabin is set up to get away from the hustle and bustle. We do not have wifi or cable, however we do have a DVD player and several movie options. The DVD player is smart and if you can get hotspot service it will work as a smart TV.

Getaway to beautiful Indian River along the Inland Waterway! Our cottage is just steps away from Devoe Beach on Burt Lake, fishing pier, Northland Brewing Company, snowmobile rail trails, state ORV trails, marinas, and restaurants/bars in downtown. You will love the knotty pine, up north vibes, with the necessities of home! If you are adventurous, enjoy rafting/tubing/kayaking the Sturgeon River! Single bedroom with one queen bed. Private full bathroom. Must climb stairs. There is a flat screen tv, a personal fan, A/C, and fireplace. Guests enjoy clean sheets, towels and hand cloths, a hair dryer, and free toiletries. There is breakfast included every morning and a buffet bar in the Sunset House dining room with coffee, tea, water, fruit, dry cereal, and nutritional health samples for guests to enjoy.
