- "This place was marvelous. We stayed in the Miners Castle Suite and it was perfect for what we wanted. We love the two separate living room areas with the outdoor patio. A home away from home feel. The host is very easy to communicate with and was helpful and friendly." - "Lovely property with gorgeous views of Lake Superior. My husband and I stayed in the Chapel Rock room. It was very comfortable with a large bathroom and great view of the lake from the bed. This bedroom and the Grand Portal bedroom share the kitchen, dining room and living room so if you feel uncomfortable staying in a house with people you don't know, make sure you book both rooms. We were lucky that no one else booked the other room so we had all the space all to ourselves. Our favorite part was sitting in front of the window in the living room just watching the sunset. The whole place was clean and very cozy. Joanne, whom lives on the property, was such a joy to talk to. She was very informative about the area with lots of suggestions of restaurants and places to visit. She made us feel at home. It is just a short drive to downtown Munising and the Pictured Rocks. We will definitely stay here again when we visit the area. "

You will have privacy and we have 3 beautiful guest rooms and a break room with complimentary coffee , tea and snacks.
We serve a homemade breakfast and farm fresh Eggs from our farm to the table .

Hiawatha National Forest original rustic 1950's cabin on 16 Mile Lake. Fully furnished one bedroom (queen bed), bathroom, living area, and kitchen. Wifi, gas grill, kayaks, fire pit, & wood. Filtered well water. Roku TV (byo sign in).
Just out the front door is 16-mile lake - enjoy swimming, kayaking, fishing, and wildlife.

The space
Queen size bed, flat screen tv, private bathroom with a shower, the smaller room with the better view. Share the B&B area with guests in the Grand Portal Room. There is a kitchen and living area.
During your stay
I added on another house on the lakeside for Joann (mother in law). We decided to start a B&B in 2014.
We were able to design the house with great views and close to the water.
Joann is a wonderful host and guests enjoy her breakfast and conversation. During Covid 19 she is being isolated as much as possible.

The house has in floor heating that makes the winter months comfortable
Our location has been great for guests who come to enjoy the Pictured Rocks. The only drawback is in the winter months we aren’t easily accessible for snowmobiles until the bay freezes over but we get a lot of cross country skiers, snowshoers and the ice climbers. The ice climbers say the ice, just a mile down the road, is one of the best in the Midwest USA.
