- "This place was marvelous. We stayed in the Miners Castle Suite and it was perfect for what we wanted. We love the two separate living room areas with the outdoor patio. A home away from home feel. We were lucky that no one else booked the other room so we had all the space all to ourselves. Our favorite part was sitting in front of the window in the living room just watching the sunset. She was very informative about the area with lots of suggestions of restaurants and places to visit. She made us feel at home. It is just a short drive to downtown Munising and the Pictured Rocks. Clean, new, and close to everything we wanted to do: hike, visit waterfalls and Lake Superior, go to the Ice Festival, and Eben Ice Caves. These being seperate units, they were super quiet. We didn't hear our neighbors at all. The windows let in the natural beauty right outside the door, and has ample windows for natural light. I read someone comment they thought the mattress was thin, i didn't find that to be true. They may have updated them, but the master bed had a thick memory foam mattress. Had a great time, and definitely will stay again. "

The Getaway is a newer remodeled cabin with 2 bedrooms (Master bedroom has a king size bed - 2nd bedroom has 2 twin beds), and 1 bath (shower) located in the cozy village of Christmas located just a few miles west of Munising.

The Getaway Cabin has a flat screen TV with service provided by Jamadots internet/WIFI, tv channels. There is a DVD player with assorted movies for guests to enjoy. Assorted games, books and puzzles are available as well. The decor theme features pictures and maps of Munising & Lake Superior representing the interesting history of the area.

The full size kitchen has all new appliances and is fully equipped with all the eating utensils and cookware. There is a big backyard with a picnic table, a gas grill for all of your outdoor cooking, and a fire pit for your evening camp fires (4 campfire chairs provided). The neighborhood access to Lake Superior is approximately 350'. You can launch your own kayak from the beach. The ATV trailhead is located across the road behind the Casino.

And the home is on the city snow mobile / ATV trail system. PS - The futon matress has been upgraded and beds are now Queen size for improved comfort in 2024.

- "We stayed at "The Brick" for 5 nights, and it is an exceptionally located rental for everything in Munising. The bedrooms are roomy and the huge full bath with washer and dryer were much appreciated. The backyard was great for our pup, and it was so convenient to not have to leash her every time she wanted to go out. The kitchen is well appointed with most things you would need for your stay. The photos hanging throughout the rental are beautiful. I was born and raised in Munising, and home for a visit, so we are very familiar with the area. While staying in Munising this time, we ate at Eh! Burger, Border Grill (twice), and Miner's Pasties, and got ice cream at Falling Rock Cafe and Pictured Rocks Trading Company (a little out of town on the way to Miner's Castle). We kayaked the Au Train River with kayak rentals from Northwoods Kayak Rentals. Highly recommend this- it was our favorite day! Go out to Au Train to see gorgeous sunsets, too! We had two teen boys with us, and they really enjoyed having everything so close that they could walk everywhere. One son spent quite a bit of time at the skate park (near Mustang Stadium on Varnum), and they walked to Bayshore Park, the Dairy Queen, and just throughout town. Parking is ample and easy for this rental. We will definitely stay at "The Brick" again if it is available next time we are up!"

Pictured Rocks Family Rentals welcomes you to Furnace Lake Overlook. Beautiful home with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths. Bedroom 1 has king bed and bunk beds with a sliding barn door separating them, while bedroom 2 has a queen bed. This home has a beautiful view overlooking Furnace Lake but does not have lake access. The home has a nice deck on back with a heated 4+' above ground pool that is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day (through Sept 15, 2025 this year). The master bath offers a cozy 2 person jetted tub to relax in after a long day on the trails with a separate glass block shower. There is not an outdoor hot tub at the home.

You'll love the serenity and the privacy of this home, yet how close you are to area attractions such as Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Grand Island, waterfalls, hiking trails, beaches, etc. You are less than a mile from state snowmobile and ATV trails. Up to 2 dogs are allowed with preapproval and $75 non-refundable pet fee.

You have full exclusive access to home, pool, garage and yard. There is no lake access with the home and there is no access to the pole barn on the property.

We are available by text if you should have any questions before or during your stay. During summer months, we will come over at your convenience to show you how the pool works. There is also a house manual in the home which has area attractions, restaurants, grocery stores, etc.

Home is walking distance to casino in Christmas, Foggy's Steakhouse and gas station. You are only about 5 miles from downtown Munising where there are Pictured Rocks Cruises, Glass Bottom Boat Tours, Sand Point Beach, waterfalls, etc. In Munising, there is 1 grocery store and numerous restaurants, listed in the house manual.

There is plenty of room to bring a boat if you have one and there is a public access to Lake Superior within 5 miles from home. There is also plenty of room to bring snowmobile/ATV trailers and then you can ride from the home to hit the trails. The attached 2 car garage is heated for our winter enthusiasts, and has patio furniture in it as well as Roku TV.

- "We wanted a place near Pictured Rocks National Seaside to stay so we could explore Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Our VRBO hostess helped us for many months before our arrival and made excellent recommendations. We booked kayaking, hiked all over and had an exciting Riptide boat excursion! After each adventure, we went back to the house and enjoyed the beautiful property and the swimming pool with all the floatations and comfy lounge chairs. One night we grilled and had a lovely patio dinner. This whole visit was just what you’d want in a great vacation from before we even arrived to the time we checked out! And the house interior was so nicely designed , furniture comfy and nice big kitchen and great bedrooms and bathrooms. Just exceptional!"

Close to everything. Pharmacy, US Post Office, Auto store, gas station, bars, restaurants, and Dairy Queen just across the parking lot for dessert.
Queen size bed in each bedroom and 1 Full size bed futon couch in the living room. Sleep up to 6max, 4 adults and 2 children 15& under. Please list the correct number of occupants when booking. Keyless entry so you never get locked out. This is a second floor apartment, very quiet. If you are looking for easy to find, good location, comfortable basics and cleanest in town this is the right spot for you.

This cabin is called the Kro's Nest.
All four seasons there is something to do! You can ski, snowmobile, ride your ATV's or side by sides along the many groomed trails. Plenty of sites to see like Picture Rocks, Glass Bottom Boat Tours and good places to eat. The cabin has two bedrooms, bathroom, living room and furnished kitchen. I provide the linens for the beds and towels for the bathroom. Non-smoking. We have Direct TV & wireless internet. Each cabin accommodates 6 people comfortably. We have updated the one bed from a full size to a queen and added a different recliners in the living room. All of the twin beds have been replaced with new memory foam mattresses. A newer kitchen table. The only thing that you might need is your preference in lawn furniture to enjoy sitting outdoors. You will need to provide your own firewood for the firepit. There is no hot tub. ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING INSIDE THE CABINS! Thanking you in advance.

Pictured Rocks Family Rentals welcomes you to Elf House! This is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath home that offers 1 king bed, 1 queen bed, 2 single beds (or another king bed), 1 bunk bed, 1 twin sofa sleeper and 1 futon. Home is conveniently located less than 5 miles from Munising, the beginning of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. It also is about 2 blocks from area ORV/snowmobile trailhead and walking distance to Christmas Casino, gas station, and Foggy's Steakhouse. Home offers a 1 car attached heated garage and large backyard.

Bedroom 1 with a king bed is on the main floor next to a bathroom. Bedroom 2 is in the basement with a queen bed and 2 twin XL beds (or can combined to make a king bed). Basement also has an additional family room with a set of bunk beds in it and a futon. Main level living room has a twin sofa sleeper available also. We added a massage chair in January 2023 in the main living room that can help soothe your aching body after riding or hiking all day! Both living rooms and the kitchen area have a TV with Roku and a complimentary Amazon subscription. There is not cable or local channels, but there is reliable fiberoptic internet service. There is a cozy electric fireplace in the basement family room added in January as well. Our home has 2 full bathrooms, both are on the main level, and an on demand tankless water heater, so everyone gets a hot shower :) We do allow up to 2 dogs, but there will be a $75 non-refundable pet charge, if approved. Please check if your furry friend is allowed. The backyard is not fenced in so dogs must be on a leash when taken outside. There is a scooper and baggies in garage to clean up after your pet. We do ask that you try to keep them off the furniture or put down some sheets which are provided in the closet near the front door.

Guests have access to the whole home other than a locked storage closet in basement, including the laundry facilities and garage.

We live nearby if you should need anything but will not come over unless asked to. If you have any questions or concerns, please message through the app or call me if an emergency.

The neighborhood is an area of homes that is quiet and private. The home is within walking distance to Foggy's Steakhouse, Kewadin Casino and gas station/party store. The local trailhead is less than 2 blocks from home so you can ride to them from the driveway. We like our neighbors and appreciate our guests being respectful of quiet times, especially when leaving early or arriving late, particularly if on snowmobiles/ATVs. Please also save the ripping on your machines for the trails and not on our quiet, residential street.

And a short walk to Lake Superior, Bay Shore Park, Pictured Rock Cruises, coffee and more!

Pictured Rocks Family Rentals welcomes you to Santa's Shack Studio! One of 3 units available at same site. The Studio has a king bed and a twin bunk bed. Great location just off of M-28 behind the White Pine Lodge and less than 5 miles from Munising. It's close to Pictured Rocks, ORV trails, many waterfalls and lighthouses. The casino is within walking distance, as well as Foggy's Steakhouse. If there's a large group, combine with our other units on the same site under a separate listing called Santa’s Shack Triplex and together it can sleep up to 18 people.

This is a ground floor unit and all recently remodeled with that up north feeling including tongue and groove pine ceiling and a twin log bunk bed. It is a cozy, little studio, so there are no private bedrooms. The bathroom shower is small as well, so tall and/or large guests may have a tight squeeze. Santa’s Shack has an on demand water heater, so there is unlimited hot water, no matter if you are the first or last to shower. We just replaced the TV in the Studio with a new 55” Roku TV for your enjoyment. The heater for the Studio is a natural gas wall heater and it will get hot to the touch. If bringing little ones during heating season, please be careful. Also, the shelf above the heater is removable for easier access to heater controls. While the home is conveniently located right off of M28, there is not much for a view or privacy when hanging outside as the units all have the view of the back of the White Pine Lodge and the gas station. There is a fire pit, picnic table, and a charcoal grill for your use that is shared with the other apartments in the backyard.

Our guests here have full access to the Studio and also have access to the fire pit and charcoal grill in the backyard. They do not have access to any of the other units onsite.

Pictured Rocks Family Rentals welcomes you to Rudolph's Cabin! This recently remodeled home offers 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The master bedroom has a king log bed and private master bath with tub/shower and a double sink. The second bedroom can either be 2 separate twin XL beds or we can make it into a king bed for you. We recently added a hot tub to the red outbuilding behind the home so it can be enjoyed in all seasons! We are conveniently located right on M28 about 1/4 mi west of Foggy's Steakhouse.

Our home was recently gutted down to the studs and completely remodeled. We opened up the living room/kitchen area and added a bathroom and brought the washer and dryer up to the main level. There’s a brand new 65” Roku TV in the living room and we have fiber optic wireless internet. We also added a tankless hot water heater so everybody gets a hot shower! We supply a crock pot, blender, drip coffee maker, and all the necessities to cook a meal at home. There’s a nice, large foyer with a bench and a shelf with hooks with plenty of room to store all your coats, bibs, helmets, boots, etc. You can ride right from the home to miles and miles of groomed snowmobile trails in the winter or ORV trails in the summer. There's plenty of room to park trucks and trailers for bringing your toys up. Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore begins in Munising, which is only about 5 miles east of the home.

The space
Barbie and Ken's, 2nd level, Studio apartment is conventiently located in the center of Downtown Munising. Just a block away from The Pictured Rocks Boat Tours and walking distance to everything you need. This studio apartment sleeps 4 comfortably with a King bed in the main room right when you walk in, there is also a seating area and a smart TV. The separate room has a fold-out sofa with a full bed and a smart TV as well. The studio also has a small office space if you need a quiet area for working! You do have to go through this office space to get to the bathroom. There is a full bathroom with a shower and a full kitchen. There is 16 stairs to the 2nd level where the apartment is located.

The Falling Rock Cafe and Bookstore is just around the corner. They provide free wireless internet, homemade food with vegan and gluten-free options, custom roasted coffee and gourmet tea, and they have delicious Jilbert’s Dairy Ice Cream! Perfect place to enjoy a light breakfast with coffee or stop for lunch and read a book. Some other great places to check out near by are the Gallery Coffee Company, Down Wind Sports and the Art in the Alley!

Please not this is an aparment in downtown Munising and there is a potential for noise from businesses in the area and general traffic.

You can literally see the dock from kitchen window. Just cross M-28 and you are there! Also an easy walk to ByGeorge Brewing (just down the stairs ) East Channel Brewery and South Bay Outfitters for bike rentals.

Guest access
There is a shared laundry space (locks on both sides) which can be accessed by guests. This unit also works as a Jack and Jill space if occupants rent both spaces (the 1 bedroom and the 2 bedroom) at the same time.

Other things to note
We have smart TV’s and jamadots for local channels. You can easily log into your Hulu, Netflix, Amazon, etc.

Moose Tracks is secluded but close to Munising and easy access to trails

The space
Moose Tracks is a beautiful cabin surrounded by the Hiawatha National Forest on a private drive. Perfect for snowmobile/ATV Riders looking to be out of town and close to the trails! Easy access to Trail 7 which is right off of Doe Lake Road, roughly 2-3 miles from the cabin. Plenty of parking for trailers. The Buckhorn Restaurant is roughly 7.9 miles from the cabin, GREAT FOOD! If you are looking to get away from it all and enjoy the sounds of nature & peace and quiet, this cabin is for you. Relax on the enclosed porch while drinking your morning coffee. If you want to explore Munising and the Pictured Rocks shoreline and all that it has to offer, it's only 15 miles from this cabin. The cabin sleeps 6 with 2 bedrooms and a LOFT (Non-Conforming Bedroom 3). Bedroom 1 is downstairs with a Queen bed. Bedroom two is upstairs with a Queen bed and then the LOFT has two Twin beds. The cabin also features a fully stocked kitchen and all linens that you will need during your stay. Wifi is provided as well as two smart TVs. Little Round Lake is not accessible from the house but it does have public access from Doe Lake Road and you can fish there.

This is a long-term rental used for transitional housing, work travelers or just a home base when traveling to Munising regularly.

Enter through the lavender door, located on the covered front porch, into the living/kitchenette, with 2 comfy upholstered chairs, side table with lamp. The small dining table, countertops, and coat hooks are all handmade. The kitchenette has a small refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker, dishes, utensils, cutlery, spices, paper essentials, and cleaning products.
Three quarter walls separate the main living area from the bedroom, and bathroom. The many windows provide lots of natural lighting, and all windows have sheers, as well as heavier, light blocking curtains.
The bedroom features a new queen size mattress, on a handmade bed, and quality cotton sheets and comforter, extra pillows and blankets. There is a small bedside table on each side of the bed.
In the bathroom, shower stall, toilet, sink with handmade countertop and shelves. Stocked with blow dryer, soap, shampoo, conditioner.
The front porch is large, covered, with seating for 4 (it is shared with guests from The Dear Camp)

The UPtown Inn is located on a main road in town so you will hear some traffic noise.

Other things to note
The neighbors do have a rooster that has been known to crow in the morning. There isn't much I can do about it, but it never bothered me when I stayed here.
Cell phone coverage can be spotty anywhere in the Upper Penninsula - Verizon is best, AT&T is pretty good, Sprint is very poor. There is excellent wifi at the house for you to use. I use wifi calling a lot of the time, if your phone supports it.

Close to many places to eat and drink (we own the Driftwood and ByGeorge Brewery just below you) Easy walking to the city pier and Pictured Rocks Boat Cruises. You can literally see the Cruises from the street. Just cross the highway and you are there.

Guest access
There is a shared laundry space (locks on both sides) which can be accessed by guests. The machines do take quarters but feel free to use our detergent and dryer sheets. This unit also works as a jack and Jill space if occupants rent both spaces (the 1 bedroom and the 2 bedroom) at the same time.

Pictured Rocks Family Rentals welcomes you to Christmas Camper! One bedroom 5th wheel 30' camper at a semi-private campsite with fire pit, small picnic table and charcoal grill. We are conveniently located less than 5 miles west of Munising and right off M-28. You’ll love the peacefulness and tranquility this space offers. We added internet so you can keep in contact with the outside world while you're here. Enjoy the fun of camping without all the hassle, just bring your food and clothing!

The space
This is a 30’ 5th wheel camper, has one bedroom with a queen bed. There is also a futon in the living area that folds down into a twin bed. The bedding for the futon is in the drawer below it. There is now water hookup at our camper, I will warn you that the hot water tank is very small, so you will want to take quick showers. Our camper has a small refrigerator and freezer, and a fully stocked kitchen to prepare meals in. We offer central heating and air conditioning to help make your stay comfortable regardless of the varying UP weather. There is a garbage can located at the back of the camper. Please dispose of trash there and make sure lid is on tight so animals can not get into it. We will allow one dog, with preapproval, and a maximum weight limit of 50 lbs. There will be a $35 non refundable pet fee if the dog is approved.

* No parties or unauthorized guests (people not staying in the camper) without prior approval.
* No smoking in the camper, smoking is allowed outside. Please dispose of butts properly.
* Signed rental agreement and security deposit hold required for all reservations. Primary guest will need to send a picture of government issued ID and list names and ages of all other guests in their group

Guest access
Guests have access to the whole camper and the fire pit/picnic area outside. They do not have access to the campsite on the right of it or their fire pit and picnic table or to the storage units onsite.

Other things to note
Our camper includes a charcoal grill, fire pit with 3 chairs around it, and a small picnic table. The bedroom has a queen bed as well as a TV with Roku. Our camper also has central heating and air conditioning. There is a shower, but the hot water tank is very small, so you'll want to take quick showers. Fortunately, since it is small, it doesn't take too long to warm back up. Our little campground has this camper and then a spot next to it with full hook up so you may have a neighbor next to you during your stay. If you have friends wanting to camp with you that have their own camper to bring, the campsite next to our camper is only $35 a night (if available). We are located next to Pictured Rocks RV Park & Campground and the camper and campsite are on our Christmas Storage Units property. There is one home near it, it is up the little hill and you all share the storage unit driveway off of Carr Lake Drive, so please don't block the driveway.

The space
Parking and entry is at the front of the building. A large front porch greets you, and entry door is green. There is seating for four on the front porch as it is shared with guests booked at The Studio Sweet@UPtown Inn.
Enter into the open living/kitchen/dining area, with handmade hooks and bench for outerwear/purse/backpacks, just inside the entry door.
The living room has a comfy upholstered chair, futon, and Amish rocker for lounging.
In the kitchen you will find an apartment size range, large refrigerator with freezer, microwave, coffeemaker, and all cooking/dining essentials, including spices and some condiments.
The bathroom is just beyond the kitchen, with shower stall, vintage vanity base,and handmade sliding barn door.
The bedroom is adjacent to the living area and features a vintage garage door headboard, new memory foam queen bed/bedding,driftwood shelves, blackout and privacy curtains.

Other things to note
We are located about 400 feet from Munising Bay, on a main street in town. We have done our best to mitigate sound, but do expect to hear creaky floors and footsteps from upstairs, if that apartment is occupied.

Near Munising and close to Pictured Rocks, Lake Superior, Casino and More! Located 2 blocks from M28 and the Casino in Christmas MI. Public beach is within a mile and Pictured Rocks is only a 10 minute drive!! There are two bedrooms (both Queen beds) and two full bathrooms. The couch does fold out for additional sleeping. One bathroom is a nice full sized master bath, and the other bathroom is small, it has a bathtub/shower, toilet and sink that is clean and functional, but small.

The space
The Cottage is located 2 blocks from M28 and the Casino in Christmas MI. Public beach is within a mile and Pictured Rocks is only a 10 minute drive. There are two bedrooms (both Queen beds) and two bathrooms. One of the bathrooms is small, its clean and functional, but small. During the spring the cabin may have a musty smell because of being closed during all winter months! (Winter in The UP can sometimes go all the way to third week of may!) The Living room is spacious and has a wood burning fireplace available. The kitchen is fully stocked as any normal home would be, including pots and pans, plates, utensils etc.... It includes everything one would need to cook for 6 people. There is also a gas grill included outside. All linens are included, (sheets, pillows, blankets, towels) Paper towels and toilet paper.The home has a furnace and air conditioning to keep you comfortable. Easy access to everything in our area. Cabin is perfect for guests looking to have a home base centrally located to all our area has to offer. Wifi and Cable is provided. ATV riders will appreciate the close proximity to the trail and gas station as well as the casino. For those looking to hike, bike and kayak, the trails and waterfalls are within 20 minutes and the Lake is just blocks away. Pictured Rocks Cruise is 10 minutes away.
