Mid-May through Mid-September we have a 100' dock with a 10x20 dock patio over the water. Also provided is a 4000# boat lift, 4000# pontoon lift, and jet ski moorings during the summer. Mid-June the swim raft goes in the water and is anchored 200' off shore.
4 adult sit on top kayaks, 2 kids kayaks, to get ready for lake fun. There are a few lifejackets, but you may want to bring your own, wearing lifejackets is recommended for all water activities (especially for children). Beach towels are provided!

Lakefront living is wonderful and comes with all that nature provides - even bugs - come prepared to enjoy the outdoors. Plans can change, travel insurance is recommended.

The lake area had crystal. Lear water fir swimming, kayaking or just replacing on the dock. Close to many outdoor beaches and wineries and hiking or many other activities. The hostess, Jennifer, communicated with us perfectly. This is the best property we have stayed on and can’t wait to go back again."

Our home is one of the largest in Elk Rapids so everyone can have some personal space when needed. The second floor has 3 Bedrooms each with a queen bed, one of which has an additional sitting area with futon and TV. The 3rd floor has 4 twin beds, futon and TV. With the 3 bedrooms and the entire 3rd floor space, the home easily sleeps 10 and with the futons you can sleep up to 12.

Elk Rapids is the perfect escape, a walking town with a wonderful main street full of unique small shops, movie theatre and dining options, from the popular Towne Pub to Cellar 152 with its craft beer and wine to the new gourmet Pizza place, there is something for everyone.

This completely remodeled, 3 bedroom, 1 1/2 baths house, comfortably sleeps 6 and is perfect for families and couples. It's a 2 1/2 block walk to beautiful Memorial Park situated on the Grand Traverse Bay. The great room has 2 full couches, ample seating and a 55" inch TV. We offer internet, so you can stream your favorite shows. Books, videos and games are also provided.The spacious, well-stocked, kitchen overlooks the great room.The huge island is a great prep area and also seats 8 people around it to enjoy meals together.

Pilgrim is a beautiful 5 bedroom (plus den), newly renovated, historic house located on Elk Lake. It features an expansive lakeside deck and private yard leading to its large private dock on the sandy shores of Elk Lake. The views are breathtaking from inside and out. Pilgrim consists of an Upper and Lower Story each with their own separate entrance and kitchen. There is an inside access from the lower to the upper level. It is listed as one house and is rented that way during the prime summer season. However, throughout the rest of the year the levels may be rented separately. Lower level:

The renovation includes a new kitchen with a breakfast bar, soapstone counter tops and walnut flooring. 4-season porch with farm table for dining, 2 newly renovated full baths, new living room with sliders opening up to a large deck; laundry room, fireplace, cable TV, forced air heat, A/C, gas grill, and new outdoor furniture. There is a separate dedicated internet service for Pilgrim House. Walk out to private yard and private dock. There are 3 bedrooms and a den with a pull out couch on the lower level – the first is the master with a queen bed and a single bed trundle under it. It has a private attached full bathroom. The second has a queen bed. The third has a queen bed with a single bed trundle under it. The den has sliding pocket doors for privacy with a full size pull out couch. This historic home was stripped to the base frame and completely updated and modernized. We added granite countertops, a marble bathroom, and refinished wood floors. All the comforts of home with a full kitchen stocked with all potential necessities. This home is in outstanding condition. The town is a wonderful close community, and matches your imagination of small town living.

Wake up and go for a jog or bike ride and stop at the local coffee shop and bakery. Restaurants range from sophisticated to casual home cooking. The town is completely surrounded by water with the East Bay of Lake Michigan along the west side of town and Elk Lake to the east. You can travel by boat from Elk Lake to Torch Lake, known as the Caribbean of the North (National Geographic.) Elk Rapids is known for festivals and art fairs, and during the summer on Wednesday nights, the streets are closed for food and entertainment.

This area is an ideal spot to hunt for morel mushrooms in the spring, enjoy the beaches in the summer, do color tours in the fall and ski in the winter. Elk Rapids is a hidden gem in Northern Michigan and once discovered you will be back every year

This upper floor, downtown Elk Rapids 2 bedroom, 1.5 baths. This spot is all about location. There is an attached deck that gives you some privacy for a dinner or to just relax in the morning sun. The views are very nice from this unit. We overlook the kids pond, the harbor and east bay. The best are the sunset views!!! Our kitchen has all the tools you need to cook a fantastic meal. Plenty of room for 4 people for the week.

Eco Cottage 7 is our smallest space and includes a full-size bed with a twin trundle bed underneath. A small but efficient kitchenette has a mini fridge, microwave, toaster and drip coffee maker and a bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. There is also a TV with Netflix and WIFI.

This cottage does not have cooking or service ware. You supply your own bedding, towels, soaps, kitchen supplies, paper products and other personal items. Relax on your deck or enjoy the shared patio area with two grills, a dining area, fire pit, shuffleboard and other games.

The cottage is located right in the quaint town of Elk Rapids, on the east side of town. A sweet location that is sure to please. East Grand Traverse Bay is only minutes from here. Shorts Brewery is around the corner too.

The living room is off of the kitchen and features a smart TV and A/C. Off of the kitchen on the lakeside is an enclosed porch area, a perfect spot for morning coffee. 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. Both bedrooms have a queen bed. Sheets and towels are included. Step out the porch door to a spacious deck with a perfect area to relax and grill. There is also a separate laundry room. 1 well-mannered pet is welcome.

Outdoors is a big grassy lawn area that walks down to your own private spot on the lake. You can sit on the deck and watch the kids play in the lake. There is a fire pit located close to the water. Plenty of outdoor furniture and a grill round out the comfort for outdoor fun. Walking distance to the grocery store and a couple of restaurants. A peaceful neighborhood is a perfect location to get away from it all. Elk Rapids is about 20 minutes from Traverse City. Kewadin is 10 minutes.

Welcome to the North end of beautiful Elk Lake! Bear Paw Cottage consists of a main house and adjacent cottage apartment. It is nestled in, on a wooded corner lot, set across from 150 feet of shared Elk Lake frontage! Guests can enjoy the lodge itself, its coveted lake access, and even a nature trail winding behind and above the property for bird's eye views of the water. Bring your family, bring your boat, bring your sense of adventure, and create memories!

The space
The main cottage has a cabin feel with an open concept kitchen and living room with views of the water and a TV with Roku for streaming your favorite channels. There is a full bath with a shower and a bedroom with a double bed down the hall. The bunk room is where all the fun happens with a game/card table, two bunk beds (best suited for children and young adults), a double futon and another TV with Roku, video game system with thousands of Atari, Nintendo, and Sega games!

The cottage apartment over the garage is a rustic space with an awesome view from the deck! There is a full kitchen, small living area, bedroom with a double bed, and bath with a shower. Step out onto the deck and enjoy the spectacular sunrise with a cup of coffee!

The shared frontage is across the street and while there is no dock, there is a mooring buoy to which you can tie your boat during your stay! Welcome to Beautiful Elk Rapids! Enjoy your days on the water of several nearby lakes, biking, hiking, or shopping in our quaint village. Explore a little farther and take in the wineries, Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes, Mackinac Island, and all that beautiful Northern Michigan offers. In the evenings, grill out, walk to one of several nearby restaurants, or just order takeout while you rest and relax at our newly furnished townhouse.

Both bedrooms and bathroom are upstairs.

The space
The unit is one side of a duplex and the other side is a long term renter. It is a quiet neighborhood in the summer and many of the neighbors are our friends or acquaintances. In the fall, if you have the windows open, you may hear the occasional Friday night football game. Elk Rapids schools are just a couple blocks away with playgrounds and a track for use when not in use by the school.

The bedrooms and bathroom are both upstairs.

There is no A/C at this time, but we do provide cooling fans and regular fans for the hottest summer nights. Room darkening shades also make a big difference.

The Village of Elk Rapids permits two cars or (regular) trucks in the driveway for the short term licensing, so please let us know if you have need for more parking.

On the day of arrival, you will receive the access code for the key box. Guests may use the back yard directly behind the unit. The shed directly behind the unit has bikes for your use, as well as a couple yard games and beach chairs w/ umbrella. Please return whatever you use.

My sister and I own this sweet little cottage right on beautiful Birch Lake in the northern part of the Lower Peninsula. Great for couples, families, and groups! Shallow, sandy lake, beautiful sunsets, fire pit for roasting marshmallows, paddleboat, kayaks, paddleboards, board games, grill... all the ingredients for a perfect summer getaway! Just a 5-minute drive to the town of Elk Rapids and its restaurants, shops, and Lake Michigan beach. We love it here, and we think you will, too!

The space
The cottage has three bedrooms (one with a queen size bed, one with a bunk bed that's a full on the bottom and a twin on top, and one with two sets of twin bunk beds), a living room, a full size kitchen, one bathroom with shower, one small bathroom that doubles as the laundry/utility room, and a dining room. We also have a large couch in the living room for additional sleeping space. Beautiful Birch Lake is right out the back door! Sandy-bottomed and shallow for quite a ways out, the lake is ideal for family fun, especially with the paddleboards, kayaks, paddleboat, inflatable floaties, and pool noodles that are there for you to use. There is also a fire pit in the yard, so s'mores and campfire tales are encouraged!
