Step out of the sliding glass door and onto the bank of the Crystal River where you can tube, kayak, SUP or swim all the way out to Lake Michigan! Walk the beach, stroll along the riverbank, or walk the boardwalk which stretches for blocks just outside the condo building. Hike or bike the nearby paved Heritage Bike Trail to scenic Northern Michigan destinations.

In the winter you can enjoy the Homestead Resort skill hill for downhill excitement! Or explore the National Shoreline on cross country skis and snowshoes. There are miles of trail inside the Homestead Resort and more just a short drive away.

This 375 sq ft condo is equipped with heat and air conditioning, a Roku Smart TV, fast WiFi for internet access, and an Amazon echo for playing music from streaming devices. Fresh updates include new paint, new fixtures, and all new furniture throughout including a luxurious queen sized bed, leather sofa, and comfy boucle chairs. The condo has one full bath with a shower/tub combination, a cute kitchenette complete with West Elm designer dishes & silverware, basic cooking utensils, glasses, a Ninja Dual Brew Coffee Machine (for ground coffee and K-cups), pots/pans, microwave, refrigerator, and a full set of hardware (NOTE: there is no oven or dishwasher in this unit). Coin operated washer & dryer are located in the common area of the building on the same floor as this studio. There is a gas grill on property for use by guests.

This privately owner unit is nestled on the water in a discreetly gated property. No public check in or check out required, however, we are nearby if assistance is needed. The unit is on the ground floor of the building and is not handicap accessible.

Note: although the condo is located inside the Homestead Resort, it is not a resort owned property, it is privately owned by us. The Homestead pools and tennis courts are not available for use. There are public tennis courts, pickleball courts in Glen Arbor. You will have access to to all of the resort amenities that are open to the public, such as all grounds and beach areas, most of the restaurants, golf (ski hill in winter), spa, salon, and the shops in the Village.

Smittys GA is a unique home situated on a very private seven acre partially wooded site, surrounded by flower gardens, featuring neo-classical inspired architectural elements uncommon to the area.

The main home features 3 bedrooms (2K,1Q), 2 loft bedrooms (1Q, 2T), 3 bathrooms, 2 spacious living rooms with 20' ceilings , an exercise room complete with a flat screen TV, stereo, universal weight machine, Precor elliptical glider and yes a ceiling fan. The home also features a screened in, fully finished, heated (hopefully not needed but there if it is) 3 stall garage with an all-weather ping pong table which can safely be taken outdoors, Tournament Foosball table (indoor only), stereo and also a lighted, marked, outdoor (driveway) 1/2 court basketball court also with stereo.

Inside the home the dining room opens to the formal living room (living room one) which runs the length of the house from Northern to Southern exposures. To the North the living room opens through double doors onto an airy enclosed screened porch featuring a 20' ceiling. The screened porch in turn, opens through double doors onto the rear of the homes two spacious decks. The rear deck overlooks a large and active organic fruit and vegetable garden which abuts the balance of the properties acreage. There are approximately 5 acres behind the home which in turn adjoin the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park land. The property is surrounded by another 28 acres of land held in the Leelanau Land Conservancy.

Returning to the main home, the formal living (East end of home) room opens to the south (front of home) through double doors onto a sunny 320sf redwood front deck. This deck is in the feature thumbnail picture and is surrounded by flower gardens so don't forget to use the zoom feature on this one.

The middle door in the photo is the mainly used entrance on the front of the home. It enters into a large foyer and mudroom built to separate the house into two zones where, for instance, kids could watch an action movie in one living room and parents could read a book in the other or vice versa. The foyer leads to the mudroom and both also feature Brazilian terra cotta tile as an aesthetically warm but thoroughly protective flooring area and space to shed the shoes. Here you will find a thoroughly stocked walk in pantry.

Through the mudroom turning to the right leads to the kitchen. Left at the mudroom leads to the second living room which intentionally incorporates many of the trim design elements of living room one. The spacious second living room was built to feel more casual and features high knotty spruce ceilings, two ceiling fans, an eight foot tall sliding window wall on the northern exposure and a spiral staircase to the 2nd loft bedroom as well cushy comfortable Natuzzi leather sofa, loveseat and chair and a Denon surround system.

Continuing west through the second living room takes you to the third bedroom featuring a queen bed, skylight for those spectacular starry nights and a sliding doorwall to the north deck. Continuing on you pass across the 'pass-through' which is the door nearest the garage. The 'pass-through' was designed to allow quick access between the front yard and the back yard. Accordingly this area also features Brazilian terra cotta tile and a place to 'kick off your shoes'.

Continuing on westward takes you past the 3rd bath and into the exercise room. Here you will find a universal weight machine, a Precor glider, flat screen TV, wet bar, a second refrigerator, and entrance to the garage which was described early on.

The finishes in the home were selected for both durability and comfort with floors being 75% hardwood, 15% quarry tile and 10% carpet. You will find carpet only in the master suite and the two loft bedrooms. The home features knotty spruce ceilings in both the 2nd living room and the exercise room. Countertops are ceramic tile in the kitchen and granite on both the kitchens breakfast bar countertop and the wet bar in the exercise room.

Appliances include a 2nd refrigerator just off the exercise room and front-load washer and dryer just off the kitchen. The kitchen features a Fridgidaire slide-in 4 burner range, over the range microwave, Kitchenaid dishwasher, blender, Bunn coffee maker and grinder, etc.

Above the garage is another 800 sf of living space. This “carriage house” apartment features hardwood throughout, one bedroom with a queen size pillow top bed, 1 bathroom with a shower stall, apartment sized “stacked” washer/dryer laundry unit, an open kitchen with a Jenn-Air electric range, Kitchen-aid refrigerator, appropriate cooking and dining utensils, skylights, a ceiling fan, flat screen TV and bar seating and an open dining area which together would easily seat 6 adults comfortably.

Currently the carriage house also has two additional sleeper sofas for additional sleeping space one of which may be substituted with a second queen bed for a small additional fee.

Located in the charming town of Glen Arbor, the Barn on the Bay is a new luxury home right outside of town. This wonderful open-concept home is situated in a beautiful park-like natural setting and around the corner from Lake Michigan. 3 bedrooms (one is a loft) and 2 baths, welcome up to 6 guests. Will consider 1 dog 40# or less. This property is beautifully furnished and modern, with gleaming hardwood floors.

Step into the spacious living room/kitchen/dining room area off of the deck. There are high ceilings and natural light pours in. It is a warm and welcoming space. Each window looks out on the restful natural surroundings.

There are two queen beds in the main level bedrooms and two full beds in the loft. There are two full bathrooms. The primary bedroom steps out onto the spacious deck wrapped around part of the house.

The kitchen is well-appointed. If you love to cook, this kitchen does the trick. It is a cook's kitchen with lots of counter space, a gas stove, and plenty of utensils. The living room features an electric fireplace to add ambiance, and a smart TV with streaming only (no cable). WiFi provided.

The views from this space are lovely, with cattails and cedars and wildflowers peeking through the ground. There are woodland animals and birds. The nature lover will find the grounds enchanting. Outdoors, whether on the deck or sitting around the fire pit, relaxation and enjoyment await. A gas grill is provided as well as outdoor dining chairs and a picnic area. There is even an outdoor shower!

Lake Michigan is just 0.3 miles away and an easy walk down a quiet dirt road. The Crystal River is across the main road (M-22) and also has a dock. Two kayaks and a stand-up paddleboard are provided.

Glen Arbor shops and dining are only minutes down the road--you can walk if you'd like! The Sleeping Bear Dune Climb is a 4.5-mile drive. The Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail connects nearby for biking and walking.

Bordered on one side by National Seashore land, this cottage lies at the southern end of the Narrows Bridge dividing Big and Little Glen Lakes. Cottage is five hundred feet from the Narrows isthmus and bridge, with public access to Little Glen Lake available on both sides of the bridge. Walk to public frontage with your raft or kayak. If you prefer a broad sand beach, Glen Haven Beach at the National Seashore is a three-minute drive away with many beautiful and secluded public Lake Michigan beaches available further up the Leelanau Peninsula.

And some of the best road biking in the Midwest is available from your driveway. Begin your ride at the cottage and head off on an easy ride to Glen Arbor village center where you can catch the Heritage Trail--or head northeast on MacFarlane for a challenging ride past Inspiration Point and around Big Glen Lake to the Crystal River and the Heritage Trail.

Bear Haven cottage has two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a screened-in porch for summer. Five beds include three single beds in the second bedroom and a king bed in the master bedroom. There is also a comfortable sleep sofa in the family room.

Superb biking from cottage. Major hills surround, including on MacFarlane and a series of seven ascents on Benzonia, but equally possible to reach the Heritage Trail bike path stretching from Empire to Good Harbor Bay without a single significant climb by riding into Glen Arbor and catching the Heritage Trail there.

The cottage is honestly nicer than the pictures. The layout is perfect for two families, and the open floor plan is efficient and cozy. One feature that does not get noticed in the VRBO description is the screen porch with shade and pleasant breezes off the lake. This was an amazing place to read, visit, relax, or eat a snack. The host contacted us early on and then closer to our stay. All the information we needed to know was included and it made for a smooth arrival. A nice touch is a keyless entry pad on the front door and notification that the cottage was ready for occupancy earlier than 4:00. The lake can make rentals have a musty smell, but not here! Easy-to-open windows with screens and a recent remodel make for a clean, fresh cottage. One of our guests was a culinary chef, and he loved the kitchen. Fully stocked, spacious, and easy to use. Don’t hesitate to spend a week here with 5 minute drives to Glen Arbor, the National Park, the public dune climb, Glen Haven Beach, and more. A perfect location."

Charming home in the heart of downtown Glen Arbor. This two bedroom, one bathroom cottage style home was originally built in the 1950's, but was fully remodeled 4 years ago. The first bedroom has a queen bed, the second bedroom has a queen bed, there's a queen sleeper sofa in the living room, and the home can accommodate up to a maximum of 6 people with the sleeper sofa. Linens and towels are provided, there is air conditioning and heat, and a drip coffee maker and Keurig in the kitchen. There were also brand new mattresses put in the home in September of 2022! There is also new bedding, rugs, and a new smart TV. The dining area has a table with two chairs, and there are two additional folding chairs in a bedroom closet. The patio table outside seats four. This home is located directly across from the Glen Arbor Town Park, is only two blocks to Lake Michigan, several blocks from Glen Lake, and you can walk everywhere in town! Restaurants, galleries, shops, the grocery store and bars are all right around the corner! Glen Arbor sits in the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, and the famed Dune Climb and Pierce Stocking Drive are a short 5 mile drive. Hiking, biking, boating, skiing (water and snow), wine tours, beer tours, and so much more are available for recreational fun! Or, visit one of our other charming small towns on the Leelanau Peninsula, such as Leland, Northport, Suttons Bay, Omena and Lake Leelanau for day trips! In a peaceful atmosphere with plenty of sunshine, Glen Craft is ideally located with warm prevailing southwest breezes to our sandy beach and cooler north-westerns over our treetops. Surrounded with Michigan woods, right on the crystal clear waters of Big Glen Lake, yet located 1/2 mile from Glen Arbor and about 2 miles from Sleeping Bear National Park Dune climb this is the perfect spot to enjoy days at "home" and days out exploring the local area.

Smooth, softly sloping sand leads to Glen Lake, just outside your door. Children love it, and adults can relax alongside them. Children can even wade all the way to the anchored raft. We also have a lakeside firepit with log stools, a dry sauna, small laundry facility, tennis court, row boat, paddle boards, shuffle board court, beach chaise lounge chairs, basketball, and archery range. The peaceful 100' + sugar sand beach is shared with two other villas, but not crowded at all.

Whitecap offers a full kitchen, spacious living/dining room with gorgeous lake views and a field stone fireplace, bath with shower and two bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and one with two twin beds. There is also a queen size pull-out couch in the living room.

You are right on Glen Lake and there are paddle boards available to use and coming home to a nice fire in the fire pit by the lake was a plus. The drive to many locations is only 2-15 minutes away. You can rent bikes downtown if you didn’t bring any but I wish we would have brought ours. If you can, bring bikes! So many places to bike too."

- "My family and I enjoyed the Wilderness 41 unit for a short stay. It had nice updated bathrooms, functional kitchen and enough room for the 4 adults and two kids in our party. The location near the crystal ricer and Lake from was nice. Our only complaint was that the dryer didn't work and we didn't figure that our until the evening of our last night. I'm sure they will fix that for the next customer. We would definitely stay here again."

This cozy cottage is located on the west shore of Big Glen Lake with amazing views and private frontage. You cant ask for a better location, close to Glen Arbor, Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore Park, The Heritage Trail and more!

Bring your boat or rent one, we have a mooring for you to use. Also provide a paddleboard. We do not provide life jackets but as long as your leg is tethered.

Kitchen is stocked with everything you need to make basic meals.

The Annex has two bedrooms and two baths. The master bedroom has a king bed with an ensuite bath. The second bedroom has two twin beds with a connecting bath. There is no tub. The sofa in the living room, pulls out into a queen sleeper.

Linens included, please bring your own beach towels.
Please note- docks go in June 1st and come out October 1st.

Summer rentals are from Friday to Friday.

- "Enjoyed our stay. Beautiful view and great location." - "The living area was great and open with a spectacular view of the lake! It was very comfortable for our 6 friends and our dogs to hang out together. The kitchen area is very nice and the island area was very useful! The bedrooms were very nicely sized as well. The best part was watching the sunrise over the lake from bed! The bathrooms were clean but the shower is VERY small!! This is completely out of the control of the property owner but two of us braved getting in the water and both of us got Swimmer’s Itch. When searching Glen Lake afterwards it seems it is a known problem of the association. Make sure to rinse off IMMEDIATELY after getting out of the water. I did sooner than my friend and didn’t get it as bad as she did. Our dogs swam a lot and we rinsed them right away each time and so far we haven’t seen an issue with them (fingers crossed)."

It has a very well equipped kitchen and was very clean. The beds were comfortable. The lighting, however, was terrible. It was impossible to read in the evenings: there were no table or floor lamps. The driveway had no lighting. The property was supposed to have garage and laundry access, but it was locked. The snow and ice had not been removed from the deck and home entrance before our arrival or during our stay and was very slippery. We had no access to a shovel. Importantly, when I contacted management regarding this, their response was not helpful. I would stay at this property again, if the lighting issue was resolved. I think in winter months that snow removal for safety should be a priority. Thanks."

The space
This new space is thoughtfully designed to provide you with a memorable experience. Design elements have been brought together to curate a unique space that embodies Northern Michigan and that caters to luxury tastes.

The first level includes a mudroom, 3/4 bath, full-sized washer and dryer, and an open floor plan with lots of ambient lighting. Some key features include a fully equipped kitchen with new appliances, large dining table, living room with queen sleeper sofa, smart TV, sound system, fireplace, games and books. Step put the sliding glass doors onto your private patio and enjoy reading a book or cooking on the BBQ.

On the second level you will be greeted with an open den featuring a queen sleeper sofa, dedicated workspace and sliding glass doors that open onto the second story deck. The full bathroom includes a shower and deep soaker tub. Both bedrooms have king beds, custom closets and one room has an ensuite workspace.

Guests have exclusive access and use of their entire half duplex, attached patio and deck.
