Step out of the sliding glass door and onto the bank of the Crystal River where you can tube, kayak, SUP or swim all the way out to Lake Michigan! Walk the beach, stroll along the riverbank, or walk the boardwalk which stretches for blocks just outside the condo building. Hike or bike the nearby paved Heritage Bike Trail to scenic Northern Michigan destinations.

In the winter you can enjoy the Homestead Resort skill hill for downhill excitement! Or explore the National Shoreline on cross country skis and snowshoes. There are miles of trail inside the Homestead Resort and more just a short drive away.

This 375 sq ft condo is equipped with heat and air conditioning, a Roku Smart TV, fast WiFi for internet access, and an Amazon echo for playing music from streaming devices. Fresh updates include new paint, new fixtures, and all new furniture throughout including a luxurious queen sized bed, leather sofa, and comfy boucle chairs. The condo has one full bath with a shower/tub combination, a cute kitchenette complete with West Elm designer dishes & silverware, basic cooking utensils, glasses, a Ninja Dual Brew Coffee Machine (for ground coffee and K-cups), pots/pans, microwave, refrigerator, and a full set of hardware (NOTE: there is no oven or dishwasher in this unit). Coin operated washer & dryer are located in the common area of the building on the same floor as this studio. There is a gas grill on property for use by guests.

This privately owner unit is nestled on the water in a discreetly gated property. No public check in or check out required, however, we are nearby if assistance is needed. The unit is on the ground floor of the building and is not handicap accessible.

Note: although the condo is located inside the Homestead Resort, it is not a resort owned property, it is privately owned by us. The Homestead pools and tennis courts are not available for use. There are public tennis courts, pickleball courts in Glen Arbor. You will have access to to all of the resort amenities that are open to the public, such as all grounds and beach areas, most of the restaurants, golf (ski hill in winter), spa, salon, and the shops in the Village.

This is a beautiful location between two bodies of water with incredible sunset views over Lake Michigan, from a ground floor deck with the Manitou Islands and Sleeping Bear Point in the distance.

A short distance away from downtown Glen Arbor or the Homestead Village where you can find restaurants, canoe/kayak/boat/bike rentals, unique shops, putt putt golf, and a park with a playground for the kids. Glen Lake schools also has a beautiful playground, a great place for a picnic in the summer and a great place hang out with the kids.

This condo is heated. No air conditioning but ceiling fans and fresh air from the lake makes for a comfortable stay.

Winter provides another beautiful season with downhill/cross country skiing at the Homestead Resort. The National Lakeshore offers opportunities for snowshoeing and crosscountry skiing, with miles of trails. Check out the Visitor Center in Empire more information on the trails and beach accesses outside of the Homestead.

This is a privately owned condo, not resort owned. The pools and tennis/pickle board courts are not for public use. Other resort amenities such as the beach, market, shops, ski hill, spa, salon, shops and restaurants are open to the public. This condo is not wheelchair accessible.

Only a short drive to the Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes, hiking trails, restaurants, and Wineries of Leelanau County. Lake Michigan in the front and the Crystal River a short walk away.

Located in the charming town of Glen Arbor, the Barn on the Bay is a new luxury home right outside of town. This wonderful open-concept home is situated in a beautiful park-like natural setting and around the corner from Lake Michigan. 3 bedrooms (one is a loft) and 2 baths, welcome up to 6 guests. Will consider 1 dog 40# or less. This property is beautifully furnished and modern, with gleaming hardwood floors.

Step into the spacious living room/kitchen/dining room area off of the deck. There are high ceilings and natural light pours in. It is a warm and welcoming space. Each window looks out on the restful natural surroundings.

There are two queen beds in the main level bedrooms and two full beds in the loft. There are two full bathrooms. The primary bedroom steps out onto the spacious deck wrapped around part of the house.

The kitchen is well-appointed. If you love to cook, this kitchen does the trick. It is a cook's kitchen with lots of counter space, a gas stove, and plenty of utensils. The living room features an electric fireplace to add ambiance, and a smart TV with streaming only (no cable). WiFi provided.

The views from this space are lovely, with cattails and cedars and wildflowers peeking through the ground. There are woodland animals and birds. The nature lover will find the grounds enchanting. Outdoors, whether on the deck or sitting around the fire pit, relaxation and enjoyment await. A gas grill is provided as well as outdoor dining chairs and a picnic area. There is even an outdoor shower!

Lake Michigan is just 0.3 miles away and an easy walk down a quiet dirt road. The Crystal River is across the main road (M-22) and also has a dock. Two kayaks and a stand-up paddleboard are provided.

Glen Arbor shops and dining are only minutes down the road--you can walk if you'd like! The Sleeping Bear Dune Climb is a 4.5-mile drive. The Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail connects nearby for biking and walking.

Situated at the Homestead Resort, our condo has direct sandy frontage on Lake Michigan as well as direct frontage on the Crystal River. We recently completed a full remodel including all new flooring, kitchen, bathroom, drywall, insulation, paint, built-ins, and new furniture.

We’ve maximized the space to technically sleep 8, but the size is perfectly suited for 5-6 people.

Mother Nature steals the spotlight in Glen Arbor - but there is nothing better than returning to our cozy condo after a long day exploring and enjoying the sites. When remodeling our condo, we spared no comfort-related detail. The interior space is well suited to parties of 5-6 people and is family-friendly.

Outside, there are two decks to lounge on which overlook the river and small dunes near the beach. Crystal River is located directly outside our door and flows into Lake Michigan. Grab a kayak, stand-up paddle board, or tube (all included with your stay) and float your cares away while taking in the stunning views only northern Michigan can offer. Bordered on one side by National Seashore land, this cottage lies at the southern end of the Narrows Bridge dividing Big and Little Glen Lakes. Cottage is five hundred feet from the Narrows isthmus and bridge, with public access to Little Glen Lake available on both sides of the bridge. Walk to public frontage with your raft or kayak. If you prefer a broad sand beach, Glen Haven Beach at the National Seashore is a three-minute drive away with many beautiful and secluded public Lake Michigan beaches available further up the Leelanau Peninsula.

And some of the best road biking in the Midwest is available from your driveway. Begin your ride at the cottage and head off on an easy ride to Glen Arbor village center where you can catch the Heritage Trail--or head northeast on MacFarlane for a challenging ride past Inspiration Point and around Big Glen Lake to the Crystal River and the Heritage Trail.

Bear Haven cottage has two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a screened-in porch for summer. Five beds include three single beds in the second bedroom and a king bed in the master bedroom. There is also a comfortable sleep sofa in the family room.

Rents Saturday to Saturday. Check in 4 PM - check out 10 AM. House close to Sleeping Bear dunes and Dune Climb with Big and Little Glen Lakes across the street. Boat rentals available in walking distance. Bring kayaks and walk to public access on the Narrows Bridge.

Superb biking from cottage. Major hills surround, including on MacFarlane and a series of seven ascents on Benzonia, but equally possible to reach the Heritage Trail bike path stretching from Empire to Good Harbor Bay without a single significant climb by riding into Glen Arbor and catching the Heritage Trail there.

The cottage is honestly nicer than the pictures. Everything needed for a comfortable vacation is provided, including a well-stocked kitchen, linens, towels, coffee maker with filters, fans, pleasant eating areas, fenced in play area for children, and a decent view of Little Glen. The layout is perfect for two families, and the open floor plan is efficient and cozy. One feature that does not get noticed in the VRBO description is the screen porch with shade and pleasant breezes off the lake. This was an amazing place to read, visit, relax, or eat a snack. The host contacted us early on and then closer to our stay. All the information we needed to know was included and it made for a smooth arrival. A nice touch is a keyless entry pad on the front door and notification that the cottage was ready for occupancy earlier than 4:00. The lake can make rentals have a musty smell, but not here! Easy-to-open windows with screens and a recent remodel make for a clean, fresh cottage. One of our guests was a culinary chef, and he loved the kitchen. Fully stocked, spacious, and easy to use. Don’t hesitate to spend a week here with 5 minute drives to Glen Arbor, the National Park, the public dune climb, Glen Haven Beach, and more. A perfect location."

Anyone with any difficulty walking or who is not in "the best of shape" will not be able to walk it (or will, at best, have great difficulty), so be prepared to find your beach-time elsewhere. Also, the toilet bowls were, well, small. Men may find it...uncomfortable...trying to sit down. (Was that tactful enough?) Otherwise, a fine time was had by all."

First floor air conditioned condominium with direct access to Lake Michigan sugar sand beach. The unit is located at the southern most area of The Homestead Resort and is about 1 1/2 miles from the town of Glen Arbor. Expansive sliding glass doors overlook Sleeping Bear Bay and the Manitou Islands. The master suite contains a a queen bed and attached oversized bath. The guest room also is configured with a queen bed. The guest bath includes a full shower and is located just off the hallway. A full kitchen with microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator with icemaker, a large dining room and convenient laundry room is included. Ceiling fans are in both bedrooms and living room providing great ventilation, but to maximize comfort our unit has air conditioning. It is one of the few that has this amenity.

During the busy summer months, a 7 night stay is required..Cancellations prior to 60 days of arrival will receive 100% of their deposit. From 30-60 days a 50% return is maintained. After your booking process is completed with VRBO, and they provide me your e-mail, I will communicate with you directly from my e-mail regarding Association Rules and all other pertinent information. I believe a mutual trust between owner and guest is essential regarding communications and is confirmed by the various comments from previous guests.

Recent guests have used words such as 'perfect', 'inspirational', and 'awesome' to describe their vacation experience at our condo. Our oldest granddaughter claims "This condo is just a walk from heaven. At night you can watch the sun set over beautiful Lake Michigan creating magical colors." Our youngest says she likes the comfort of the mini couch.(love seat) The condo looks directly out at Sleeping Bear Bay and the sand dunes. Glen Arbor and nearby towns of Leland, Suttons Bay, and Northport offer excellent dining and shopping opportunities. The pristine Crystal River is at your backdoor and the majestic Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore surrounds the area with unbelievable and breathtaking views. While the resort's Beach Club is not available to renters, several of their retail shops (including their Spa) along with their restaurants are open to the public.

Charming home in the heart of downtown Glen Arbor. This two bedroom, one bathroom cottage style home was originally built in the 1950's, but was fully remodeled 4 years ago. The first bedroom has a queen bed, the second bedroom has a queen bed, there's a queen sleeper sofa in the living room, and the home can accommodate up to a maximum of 6 people with the sleeper sofa. Linens and towels are provided, there is air conditioning and heat, and a drip coffee maker and Keurig in the kitchen. There were also brand new mattresses put in the home in September of 2022! There is also new bedding, rugs, and a new smart TV. The dining area has a table with two chairs, and there are two additional folding chairs in a bedroom closet. The patio table outside seats four. This home is located directly across from the Glen Arbor Town Park, is only two blocks to Lake Michigan, several blocks from Glen Lake, and you can walk everywhere in town! Restaurants, galleries, shops, the grocery store and bars are all right around the corner! Glen Arbor sits in the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, and the famed Dune Climb and Pierce Stocking Drive are a short 5 mile drive. Hiking, biking, boating, skiing (water and snow), wine tours, beer tours, and so much more are available for recreational fun! In a peaceful atmosphere with plenty of sunshine, Glen Craft is ideally located with warm prevailing southwest breezes to our sandy beach and cooler north-westerns over our treetops. Surrounded with Michigan woods, right on the crystal clear waters of Big Glen Lake, yet located 1/2 mile from Glen Arbor and about 2 miles from Sleeping Bear National Park Dune climb this is the perfect spot to enjoy days at "home" and days out exploring the local area.

Smooth, softly sloping sand leads to Glen Lake, just outside your door. Children love it, and adults can relax alongside them. Children can even wade all the way to the anchored raft. We also have a lakeside firepit with log stools, a dry sauna, small laundry facility, tennis court, row boat, paddle boards, shuffle board court, beach chaise lounge chairs, basketball, and archery range. The peaceful 100' + sugar sand beach is shared with two other villas, but not crowded at all.

Whitecap offers a full kitchen, spacious living/dining room with gorgeous lake views and a field stone fireplace, bath with shower and two bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and one with two twin beds. There is also a queen size pull-out couch in the living room.

You are right on Glen Lake and there are paddle boards available to use and coming home to a nice fire in the fire pit by the lake was a plus. The drive to many locations is only 2-15 minutes away. You can rent bikes downtown if you didn’t bring any but I wish we would have brought ours. If you can, bring bikes! So many places to bike too."

This cozy cottage is located on the west shore of Big Glen Lake with amazing views and private frontage. You cant ask for a better location, close to Glen Arbor, Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore Park, The Heritage Trail and more!

Bring your boat or rent one, we have a mooring for you to use. Also provide a paddleboard. We do not provide life jackets but as long as your leg is tethered.

Kitchen is stocked with everything you need to make basic meals.

The Annex has two bedrooms and two baths. The master bedroom has a king bed with an ensuite bath. The second bedroom has two twin beds with a connecting bath. There is no tub. The sofa in the living room, pulls out into a queen sleeper.

Linens included, please bring your own beach towels.
Please note- docks go in June 1st and come out October 1st.

- "Enjoyed our stay. Beautiful view and great location." - "The living area was great and open with a spectacular view of the lake! It was very comfortable for our 6 friends and our dogs to hang out together. The kitchen area is very nice and the island area was very useful! The bedrooms were very nicely sized as well. The best part was watching the sunrise over the lake from bed! The bathrooms were clean but the shower is VERY small!! This is completely out of the control of the property owner but two of us braved getting in the water and both of us got Swimmer’s Itch. When searching Glen Lake afterwards it seems it is a known problem of the association. Make sure to rinse off IMMEDIATELY after getting out of the water. I did sooner than my friend and didn’t get it as bad as she did. Our dogs swam a lot and we rinsed them right away each time and so far we haven’t seen an issue with them (fingers crossed)."

Guests have exclusive use of the Stony Brook heated outdoor pool (open June-September), sauna and the exercise room!

The whole place is yours! Homestead Beach Club amenities are NOT available (pool, spa, gym, tennis). However, there are tennis courts, bike trails, and golf courses nearby that are open to the public. Bikes, canoes, and kayaks are all available for rental. In the winter, nearby Crystal Mountain and The Homestead Resort are easily accessible for downhill and cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and snowboarding.
Summer rentals are Saturday to Saturday. Fall, winter and spring rentals require a 2-night minimum stay, with the exception of holiday weekends that require a 3-night minimum stay.

The Neighborhood:
Less than a mile to downtown Glen Arbor by road or by beach! This quaint town is filled with unique treasures, specialty items and a variety of restaurants to discover during your “up north” vacation. Visit the original Cherry Republic, the famous Art’s Tavern, the Totem Shop, Leelenau Coffee Roasting Co. and the Pine Cone. There is a grocery store, a bait shop and many other local shops to accommodate all of your needs during your stay. Minutes away from downtown, you’ll find the infamous Heritage Trail, a 20+ mile paved, multi-use trail showcasing several destinations within the Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore. Hop on the famed M-22 Scenic Drive to explore the little villages scattered around the Leelenau Peninsula. Popular destinations just a short drive from Glen Arbor include Frankfort, Traverse City, Suttons Bay, historic Fishtown in Leland and Northport. The 1938 Modern cabin was designed by eminent Chicago architect Harry Weese for his parents while in architecture school. It is a notable early example of a style that became popular and known as mid-centry modern. The wall of glass embracing the lake is the focal point for open-plan living, dining & cooking. Furnishings have been updated in keeping with its historic character.

Down a private drive, a short distance east of the Narrows Bridge, it is Ideally located adjacent to the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Relax, enjoy your vacation at our bright, comfortable cottage. The large living area with fireplace has a dining table for 8 and a selection of comfortable seating. The adjacent screen porch has teak furniture & a table for snacking, dinner or games. Step out to the ample deck with lounge chairs. All areas overlook the crystal clear, spring fed lake. Four cozy bedrooms will accommodate 5-8.

The Cottage: Enjoy the peace of water lapping at the shore or the breeze passing the birches while reading in the hammock or rocking in a chair on the porch. A crackling fire will welcome you after an early morning or evening dip in the lake. Whatever your inclination, a variety of activities abound and you will have a memorable vacation at our family summer home.

Waterfront: The cottage has a private dock and floating raft, and fixed raft shared with our two adjacent cabins. The water is shallow at the shore with minimal beach. There is ample sandy shallow water swimming between the dock and raft. Kayaks, canoes & windsurfers can be easily accommodated, however we have no facilities for launching or mooring larger or motorized watercraft and the driveway cannot accommodate trailers. Public launch ramps are nearby. Kayaks & bikes may be rented in town.
