**Winter rentals-please be equipped with 4WD /AWD. Snowy/icy roads are common and our resort and the surrounding area has hilly terrain. Please be on the look out for winter weather from the end of November though early April.**

Hot tub broken even though I asked before I booked if working! Up all night dealing w/issues. Beautiful lake but if they are going to charge this amount fix your property. Dumpster next to property smelled so bad like we were next to a landfill. Internet is shotty took multiple attempts to even watch TV for a half hour. Couch is old has stains. Had to clean before moving stuff in. "

THE CABIN IS NOW CLOSED FOR THE 2025 SEASON. Thanks for spending part of your Spring, Summer, or Fall at the Cabin. Over the years I have found the Cabin to be a wonderful, quiet retreat. Traverse City has grown tremendously over the past few years, yet the Cabin and property have not changed much at all. Even though people continue to build throughout the area, you still see geese and loon in the early spring, hear owl during quiet nights, and see deer in the water in late fall.

The Cabin is a special place. It is a unique combination of a rustic log cabin and a modern furnished home, on a beautiful piece of property near a busy Traverse City. Please do not expect to be staying at the Grand Traverse Resort, or the Holiday Inn. The Cabin definitely has its own character. Not all the windows have screens, the driveway is not paved, and the chipmunks will join you during your morning coffee. But give the Cabin a few days, and I think you will feel what I feel, and you may be a little disappointed that time is going by so quickly. Enjoy it while you're there.

Welcome to our home away from home! This two bedroom townhome has a lot to offer anyone visiting beautiful Traverse City.

Relax with the whole family or get away from the daily grind at this peaceful place to stay. Country setting, just minutes from the beach, skiing, and everything Downtown TC has to offer!

Inside you'll get two large bedrooms on the 2nd floor with more than enough storage for everything you brought with you, as well as a nicely appointed bath with full size tub.

Downstairs we have done everything to make it feel like home! Decorated utilizing our local shops and the beautiful Grand Traverse area as inspiration. The open concept is cozy and there is a gas file place for use in the colder months.

You will have one space right in front of the building, additional cars can be parked just steps away on the other side of the lot.

As your hosts we were born and raised in the area. We're excited to share our home with you but please be respectful of our home, furnishings, and neighbors. Only though the cooperation of our guests can we keep this a great place to stay!

This is Cabin #2 on Oaks Resort in Traverse City, MI.

Our seasonal log cabins are built on beautiful Spider Lake near Traverse City, MI. Spider Lake is an all sports lake with a regulated quiet time in the morning and evening for those that want to fish or just sit back and enjoy the views.

We have three separate, very clean and private Bellaire style cabins. Each cabin has two bedrooms, one bathroom, a kitchen with dishes, glassware, cookware and utensils and a sofa sleeper. There are three docks for boats, four kayaks, two row boats, and a paddle boat for use by our guests. Oaks Resort is the perfect destination for your summer family vacation.

The Traverse City area is full of fun things to do and see. Within minutes of the resort, there are canoe rentals, hiking trails, horseback riding and some fantastic golf courses. Boat and jet-ski rentals can be arranged and are available. The Resort is located on 11 acres and 850 feet of sandy waterfront property on the western shore of Arbutus Lake in Traverse City, MI. The property has been a lakefront resort for decades, but in 2020 the entire property was re-developed (with all new infrastructure) in a way that preserved as many of the original trees and landscape as possible.
Phase 1 construction started on the north end of the property with three 3 newly built Luxury Vacation homes. While each home has the same amenities and floor plan, they will each carry with them a different interior design.

Arbutus Lake is a nearly 400-acre inland lake that hosts swimmers from May through October. Made up of 5 smaller lakes, all connected by channels, many refer to each section of the lake by numbers 1-5. Lakemore Resort is located on the western shore of Lake 2 (the largest of the 5 lakes), on some of the most naturally sandy areas on the entire lake. Sunrise views from the screened porches, with a cup of coffee, will be a must. Guests will enjoy a sandy bottom and a gradually increasing depth, which provides the perfect play area for kids and young swimmers. Arbutus is an all-sports lake big enough for skiing and tubing but small enough to enjoy the calm waters for stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, and fishing. The rental of a Lakemore Resort home includes the use of SUP boards, kayaks, and rowboats. Onsite boat rental is also available through Lakemore, which offers 2020 Bennington Tri-toons ( 21 ft SLX (23” 9”) 140 HP). The boats are kept under the canopy on our dedicated Lakemore Resort docks.
Lakemore Resort is very close to The Brown Bridge Quiet Area, which offers miles of hiking trails. Like to snowmobile? We are in close proximity to the Boardman Valley Trail System's 81 miles of trails! Boardman River is also within 3 miles, a great place to do river tubing, kayaking, canoeing, and fishing. We are only 7 mi from Vasa Single Track, a great Mountain Bike trail system. In addition, the Vasa is home to 25 km of groomed cross-country trails. Mount Holiday is only 15 minutes away, a local downhill ski hill that also offers snow tubing and zip lining. Crystal Mountain Ski Resort is only 30 miles away.
This setting is perfect for relaxing lakefront vacationing away from the hustle of town, but be sure to leave time for a short 15-minute drive to the city. Traverse City is well known for its lakefront, with countless shops and restaurants. The greater Traverse City Area is nationally recognized for Old Mission Peninsula and the Leelanau Peninsula's many wineries, as well as the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park.
