This was our first time staying on the Schuss property, it was pretty quite, almost a deserted feel besides the golfing side, but the condo was in great condition and had plenty of amenities. The current pictures must have been from awhile ago, they now have a covered balcony and large dinning table which were both a plus. Our condo, located in the Cortina buildings in Schuss Village, is positioned near the Schuss Mountain ski lifts and the Schuss Mountain golf course. Once you arrive, there is no need to load the car with your equipment. Just walk to the lifts or pro shop. Make your meals in our kitchen, which includes a stove, microwave, Ninja Foodi combo oven (oven, toaster, air fryer, etc.), and mini refrigerator, or grab a bite to eat at Ivan's cafe across the street. You really can't beat this spot.

Our condo has the feel and proportions of a two bedroom hotel suite. The wood burning fireplace sets a warm ambiance for winter evenings. The back deck overlooks the first tee of the Schuss Mountain golf course. Out front, the slopes of Schuss Mountain and the amenities of the main lodge await. When available, our guests will have access to an indoor swimming pool, hot tub, and sauna at the Schuss Lodge across the street. Note that the pool and hot tub facilities are operated by the resort. They may be closed at the resort's discretion; and are typically closed from April, after the Schuss Mountain Snow Challenge event, to Memorial Day weekend, and October through mid-December.

The Jordan River Valley is part of the Mackinaw State Forest and is truly one of the most beautiful wilderness areas in northern Michigan. Its river was the very first to be designated as a wild and scenic river by the Federal government. The Jordan River Pathway provides 18 miles of trails and is part of the North Country National Scenic Trail.

This beautiful upper level condo sits on the 18th hole of the Schuss course yet is tucked away off of the main road and only a 3 minute walk to the slopes and main lodge where there is an indoor pool and hot tub open year around. A pool pass is provided with your stay.

Sits on an end with a view of the woods out front and to the side for privacy. Pond and golf course view out back. Golf club house steps away. No need to drive once you arrive. This is a perfect get away for 1 or 2 couples or 4 adults for a girls or guys getaway.

The Schuss Village pool is a 3 minute walk.

Schuss Mountain is the most serene of the three villages in the Shanty Creek resort. Golf spring Summer and Fall at Shanty Creek. The resort offers 72 holes on 4 championship courses. Schuss Mountain golf course is right out your front door. We sit on the 18th hole within walking distance to the clubhouse. The shuttle can take you back and forth from Summit to Schuss village throughout the day and evening.

FALL: Our prime fall color time is the first two weeks in October. Include us on your fall color tour.

The city of Bellaire is a short 6 mile drive where you can find dining, Shorts micro brewery with their delicious unique sandwiches, soup and pizza, antique shops, a movie theater, coffee shop and restaurants. Bellaire Bar has a good variety menu from dinners to burgers at reasonable prices.
Mancelona has the Iron Skillet that is famous for breakfast and home cooked family dining.
For a more upscale dining experience try Terrain or Corner Bistro in Bellaire.
This resort can serve as a hub for Torch lake, Traverse City, Petosky and Elk Rapids. You are only a short drive to some beautiful lakes and rivers. Riverside marina rents boats which would be a great way to explore the chain of lakes.

This condo also comes with a pool pass for the Lakeview pool at Shanty as well as the pool at Schuss Mountain. There are 6 golf courses in the immediate vicinity of the condo for your playing enjoyment. The courses accommodate all levels of play. Schuss Mountain offers some great opportunities for skiing for the beginner, intermediate or advanced skier or snowboarder. Shanty Creek Resort offers several different dining options for your enjoyment and don't forget Short's Brewery in downtown Bellaire. Whatever you choose to do this condo is centrally located so you can get to your destination quickly. If you are interested in boating Torch Lake or the entire chain of lakes, bring your boat.

Schuss Mountain is the most serene of the three villages in the Shanty Creek resort. Golf spring Summer and Fall at Shanty Creek. The resort offers 72 holes on 4 championship courses. Schuss Mountain golf course is right out your front door. We sit on the 18th hole within walking distance to the clubhouse. The shuttle can take you back and forth from Summit to Schuss village throughout the day and evening.

FALL: Our prime fall color time is the first two weeks in October. Include us on your fall color tour.

The city of Bellaire is a short 6 mile drive where you can find dining, Shorts micro brewery with their delicious unique sandwiches, soup and pizza, antique shops, a movie theater, coffee shop and restaurants. Bellaire Bar has a good variety menu from dinners to burgers at reasonable prices.
Mancelona has the Iron Skillet that is famous for breakfast and home cooked family dining.
For a more upscale dining experience try Terrain or Corner Bistro in Bellaire.

Really cool to have access to both Schuss Mountain and the facilities at Shanty Creek, we visited the pools, hot tubs and restaurants at Shanty, not too far of a drive…amazing views from up there. We are not golfers, but if you were, this location is perfect for proximity to some great courses. I’m sure skiing from here would be terrific as well. We enjoyed several day trips from this condo to Torch Lake, Alden, Dockside, Bellaire, etc. I appreciated the attentiveness of the owner with a few questions I had before arrival, so that was great as well. Overall, a great place to stay, met all of our expectations and we’d book again if ever in that area."

This unit is perfect for short-term or longer stays at Schuss Mountain ski resort and golf course. The unit is located on the third floor of the Schuss Mountain Lodge and has several amenities, including a mid-size refrigerator, kitchenette, queen-size bed, cable television, pool, hot tub, and internet to name a few. The unit is located within walking distance to some of Northern Michigan's best golfing and skiing.

During the summer and fall months, the resort is quiet and during the winter the resort is bustling with snow sports enthusiasts.

- "This was a great little studio for our family to stay in for a ski weekend. If our kids were any bigger (9 & 12) it might have been TOO cozy but it was perfect for us. This studio condo is located in Schuss Village inside of Shanty Creek Resort however is not an actual part of the resort. There is a pool pass that will grant you access to the Schuss Lodge Pool (directly behind building/condo location. seasonal).

Ski slopes are located directly behind our building. There is a restaurant, Ivan's Grill, also directly behind the building that is only open during the ski season.
Shuttle available to get around resort; shuttle also will take you into Bellaire in the evening's.

- "Everything was perfect. Kitchen supplies, bathroom supplies in case you forgot anything, super soft sheets and very comfortable bed, a fan for extra coolness, extra pillows, pool and hot tub were very clean, the host was great. My only “complaint” was that the tv on the wall near the ceiling was very small. My husband and I are only 53 but it was very difficult to see the picture and hear it when the AC was on. They also supplied inside games and outside games to play! I would recommend this facility to anyone!"

This cabin is a duplex backing up to the woods. One Bedroom has a King bed and the other bunk beds (twin mattresses). This is a cozy little cabin located just minutes away from downtown Bellaire. Enjoy all the campground has to offer with weekend events and swimming without needing a tent. Minutes from several lakes.

- "The listing was as expected: conveniently located, yet secluded; and spacious, yet cozy. The space had a decent offering of amenities (blankets, dishes, towels), and even a dog bone for our pooch - we had everything we needed. We stayed during off-season so the park was quiet; but with the pool and the playground - I’m sure it will be a hit with family’s in the summer. Will be keeping this spot in mind for future trips north and hope to try some of the other cabins on site."

Interior:
This cozy condominium features two bedrooms. The first bedroom features 2 sets of bunk beds so the kids can all have fun in their own unique area. Each bed comes with it's own fan, light, charging station and shelf! The second bedroom will house a queen size bed and has a slider to the deck. Another slider is off of the living room as well and the views and peace and quiet are well deserved; so enjoy! The living room houses a sofa sleeper for additional sleeping arrangements and has a nice natural fireplace to relax to. The kitchen is a galley style area that opens up into the living area keeping the cozy tradition of the condo. A separate island/bar with 2 stools is nice for cooking, setting up food or snacking on. A large dining table with 4 chairs and a bench is great for eating and playing cards. One bathroom with a stand up shower lies between the bedrooms. All of the linens are included for your convenience.

Exterior:
Ideal location where you can walk to the ski lifts from the condo. Across the street is where all of the action is! The main lodge, "Ivan's" restaurant/bar, the spa and fitness area, and indoor pool/hot tub. Tennis courts, a basketball area and 2 hiking/biking trails (1 is a mile and the other is 3 miles) run in front of the condo. The pro shop and Schuss Grill is next to the unit and close to the driving range. Directly behind our unit is a pond with running fountains, a putting green and the first hole for the Schuss Mountain Golf Course. The resort has 3 villages and FREE transportation is available from village to village during the ski season. The Summit provides "Foot Golf", pools, large checkers and Jenga for more family game playing! Bellaire is a small, quaint town with shopping, beaches....and best known for "Shorts Brewery".

This real log cabin is located just outside the entrance to Schuss Mountain and Shanty Creek Resort. This cabin is the perfect couples or small group getaway to the woods to enjoy a drink around the fire or adventure on the ski hill.

The cabin is a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom home with a fully stocked kitchen, dining and living areas. Off the front of the cabin is a large deck outfitted with Adirondack chairs and a solo stove for bonfires.

The kitchen comes with a drip coffee pot, tea kettle, a full set of pots and pans, and cooking basics like salt, pepper, and oil. The living room has a cozy gas fireplace as well as a 55 inch smart TV where you can log into any of your streaming services. There is also a full kitchen table where you can gather to eat a meal or play some of the provided board games.

Tucked into the corner of the cabin is the first bedroom that has a queen bed and dresser. The ensuite bathroom is stocked with fresh towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and a hairdryer. There is a large capacity washer and dryer located in the bathroom as well.

Upstairs in the open loft is a second bedroom with a king sized bed and a dresser. Please be aware this bedroom is open to the main floor.

On the front deck there are chairs and the solo stove available for guest use. Wood is provided on site. There is also snowshoes provided in the deck box. The open area next to the cabin is approved for snowmobile use as well, maps can be provided for allowed areas.

- "We truly enjoyed our get away in this beautiful forest cabin. It was a close drive to all the different lakes and towns. We made the 1.5 hour drive to Mackinac City stopping in the towns of Petosky and Charlevoix on the way. Spectacular waterviews and fun boutique shops. Seeing the Mackinac bridge was awesome and the different shops all in one place was nice and souvenirs shirts and sweatshirts a lot cheaper. We spent one day traveling to Traverse City and the Sleeping bear dunes definitely recommend taking the time to experience this. Werecommend Shorts for food and adult beverages, the service was great. The best thing is sitting on the porch in the morning and evening and listening to the birds sing. So calming and serene. The host was awesome, very attentive and responsive. We definitely hope to stay again in the future."
