This completely remodeled stone cottage is right across the street from Lake Charlevoix. Washington Street Beach is less than a mile and a boat ramp is right there. The Landing restaurant is across the street. 3.5 miles from Castle Farms and just a 10 minute drive to Charlevoix and East Jordan. We have two stand-up paddle boards, and there are boat and bike rentals nearby. It's a great place for a vacation during any season.

- "I’ve stayed here before and it was lovely; however this time was very different. There is no one who checks you in or can troubleshoot in case you need anything. You call a number (True North)and the young lady says she will get housekeeping. Really? There is NO one there, not even an office anymore. The place is misnamed. It is an older 60’s motel, not a ‘retreat’. The floors were ‘sandy’ and needed vacuuming. The carpet was damp all over. The tv clicker needed batteries. The bed sheets were ‘sandy’ when we first pulled back the covers BEFORE we even got in!! The corners near there shower were filthy. The bedspreads had stains…. Did this motel change hands in the two years since I last stayed? Sad, I retuned because you could see the pride of the owner. Not anymore. Next time we’ll book in Charlevoix…"

- "When arriving, it was clear that cleanliness and maintenance were not a priority here. There was broken glass on the bedroom floor, which was hazardous and unacceptable. In addition, the lights did not turn on, making the glass only visible during the daytime. The sheets had many hairs on them, making it obvious that they hadn't been properly cleaned or changed between guests. Multiple members of our party left due to dirty linens, while the rest slept on the floor and couch. In addition, a door to our room could be accessed from downstairs, which we were unaware of before. This made us feel unsafe inside. The floors were filthy, and the refrigerator was not only dirty and sticky on the inside but also not working. Overall, this was a terrible experience. "

Enjoy our beautiful cozy classy cottage on 50 feet of eastern shores (sunsets) of Lake Charlevoix. The cottage features updated kitchen, bathroom, carpet, furnace and A/C. The spacious living room features TV, dvd player, couches. The kitchen includes a washer/dryer, dishwasher, pots/pans, cooking utensils, coffee maker, toaster, blender, plates, and glassware for 8 people. It has parking for 4 cars, including garage space. Enjoy sitting on our large deck with BBQ and ladderboard! The private dock has 6 feet of water depth at the end and comes with a boat lift that can handle a boat up to 6000lb and a mooring ball. Enjoy evenings at our fire pit watching the stars (wood for fire provided!). All linens, towels, beach towels are provided. Beds for 6 (master bedroom king size bed, loft area 4 twin beds with an option of sleeping 8 with a full sized futon in loft area). We have a two person kayak, all kinds of sun-chairs, water floating rafts, Nintendo Switch and tons of games inside.

Our location on the South Arm of Lake Charlevoix is excellent for swimming, boating, fishing, all watersports and winter activities. The area is surrounded by up north beautiful down town areas, nature trails, fishing activities, wineries, and much more!

Our home is on a delicate septic waste management system and our maximum occupancy is set strictly recommended by our service providers. It is a 6 head overnight maximum. Any deviations to this maximum must be presented to the host prior to booking for consideration.

For winter skiers, Boyne Mountain is a 13 mile drive going through Boyne City. Before hitting the slopes in the morning, stop at the Boyne City Bakery for a hot coffee and one of their famous crepes to take with you!

Okiwayway's bungalow was formerly known as Betula Cabin. The cabin (built in 1941 using cedar and field stones on the property) remains largely intact offering a genuine log cabin experience.

What we have updated the bedrooms, kitchen, and bathrooms. See below:

The master bedroom and bunk rooms are now on opposite sides of the cabin for greater privacy and easier access from both rooms to the water. Both rooms have closets with shelves, and luggage racks to settle in and feel at home and curtains for privacy. The masterbedroom room includes a loft offering a wonderful view of the lake and dock. The master bedroom has dimmable lights inside and dimmable remote lights outside. The bunks room has a modern chandelier and dimmable remote lights outside.

The bathroom has been split into separate toilet, shower, and vanity rooms allowing flexibility for guests. The shower room and toilet room heated floors (do not set above 75oF) to keep your feet warm on the cooler days. There is a storage closest in the vanity room where towels, first aid, toilet paper, extra bed sheets, vacuums, and cleaning supplies are stored.

The kitchen has been expanded and the mini electric range replaced with full sized four burner induction cooktop with induction compatible pots and pans. Please note then oven has been replaced with a combo microwave/oven/airfryer We have added pull out racks making it easier to access cookware from the shelves below the counter. And open shelving above the counter for easier access to dishes. Coffee machine, french press, and pour over are included and a coffee bean grinder for those who prefer fresh ground beans. A new sink has been installed with extendable faucet and glass rinser (like the ones you see at a bar!). The dining table is now in the kitchen (formerly in the living room)

Okiwayway Bungalow is connected via Google home and can be accessed via the ipad provided.

In the living room is an stereo with indoor and outdoor speaker sets. Music can be played either indoor or outdoor or both by selecting/deselecting the A and B areas on the unit. the stereo is connected to a Bluetooth receiver to play music from you smartphone.

Water proof blue tooth speaker with LED lights is included as well as bug spray and sun tan lotion. There is a small tool ikea tool kit provided for any quick fixes.

Washer and Dryer are in the shed as before. With Tide pods and fabric softener provided.

Seasoned firewood is provided.

A 6000lbs electric boat hoist is available (not for pontoons). For boats that will not fit poles are available on the opposite side to tie up to.

The dock has two sets of steps to enter/exit the water and a bench to enjoy the sunsets from.

Our home sleeps 11 in bedrooms and 13 total with a pull-out couch. It is a perfect home for multi-family gatherings as it has 2 kitchens and 2 living rooms and a fenced in backyard for the family & your doggies to enjoy!

Upon entering the home, you walk into the living room with a 65” smart TV and an open concept living room, dining room, and a fully stocked kitchen. Our guests' reviews comment how the fully stocked kitchen is the best they have ever rented. The lower level consists of 3 bedrooms (1 King, 1 queen + bunk bedroom). The kids bunk bed is a full over full bunk bed with a twin trundle so the bunk room can sleep 5 kiddos comfortably. The kid's bedroom closet is full of toys, puzzles, and games to keep your kiddos entertained while on vacation. There is a renovated 1 bedroom (queen), 1 bathroom apartment attached, a perfect in-law suite so the home has 2 kitchens and 2 living room areas. The apartment is located on the main floor of the home so all can come and go easily between the two spaces but there is a door to close off the apartment side for privacy when preferred.

This house was remodeled to provide a spacious layout to entertain family and friends in the incredibly welcoming resort town of East Jordan. Its location can't be beat, across the street from Lake Charlevoix provides yachting access from anywhere in the world. It's an inland lake of Lake Michigan. It is across the street from the public park with a beach, basketball courts, softball fields, tennis courts, boat launch, playground and a block from ice cream in the summer. It's conveniently located 8 miles from Boyne Mountain Ski resort in the winter. If has access to the Jordan Valley if you love snowmobiling, hiking, trout fishing, canoeing, kayaking or hunting. Turkey and deer hunting are premiere in this area and FREE on public land. This provides one of the BEST fishing and trout fishing areas in the world. The golf courses are like no others and you can find any type of course you like within an hour drive. Come and visit!! You won't be disappointed. If you're ready to get away from it all, this is the house for you.

The house was extremely clean. 2.5 baths. 2 bedrooms upstairs and one bedroom downstairs. We were able to sleep 9 people easily (4 adults and 5 teens). The kitchen had plenty of utensils for cooking. There were plenty of chairs to be comfortable at night. Overall great place to stay for skiing and I imagine it would be great for a lake vacation. Right across the street was a beach. We hope to come back in the summer someday and would use for skiing again. Great place and would have no hesitation to recommend to others."

**** LOCATION ****
Located on a private, tree-lined road on the east side of the South Arm. The South Arm is known for its traditionally calmer water, which is perfect for water skiing, wakeboarding, pulling towables or just cruising, while it is only a short ride to the main body of the lake and Boyne City, Charlevoix and Lake Michigan. Our home is just a short drive from the charming town of East Jordan and nearby Boyne City and is close to a variety of shops, restaurants, and attractions, including hiking trails, golf courses, and local wineries. You'll also be within easy driving distance of Charlevoix (via the historic Irontown Ferry), Petoskey, Traverse City, and Boyne Mountain.

- "We've been staying at the same place for 7 years and this year decided to venture out. I was very apprehensive yet it turned out to be amazing. This house is perfect for kids, adults and older folks. Much of our worry was re: not having a beach for the kiddos (3,6 and 9) yet it was--in many ways--a non-issue. The dock is beautiful, safe and gave them a place to jump into appropriate depths with supervision seating right there. Kids had a blast (note: they are good swimmers). The house is ideal for a larger group (we had 11) with three beds on lower level, each slightly small but nothing more is needed on vacation than a place to sleep! The bunk room is ideal. Main floor master and bath are good, comfy. Upstairs gave a single adult privacy and his own space. Everything you might need is included. Appliances newer, storage for food in kitchen and clothing in bedrooms is excellent. Extremely clean, tidy and welcoming upon entering. We were very, very happy here and trust me--you will be, too! Highest recommendation for comfort, ease of use and responsiveness of owners. Not a 'show place' but just what we wanted--a home. Thank you for a lovely vacation experience."

Beautiful log home with large addition added on in 2000. The home has been completely updated in recent years offering space and complete comfort to house up to twelve guests with wants for nothing. The sprawling patio out front overlooking the lake that offers 150 ft. of frontage and breathtaking views in every direction is something you will long to come back to year after year. Bring your boats, wave runners or sailboats to enjoy long relaxing days on the lake. If you don't have access to a boat, we have a 24 Ft. Tri-toon with a 200 HP Suzuki outboard motor available for rent that is great for Skiing, Tubing or just a nice mellow cruise on the lake. The shallow shoreline makes for Great swimming for all ages. If your more of a nature buff walk outback in the 3.3 acres of woods and wildlife. Winter offers some of the best skiing, snowboarding and snow tubing that northern Michigan has to offer at Boyne Mountain. Miles of snowmobile trails for every experience level. The local shopping, restaurants and brew pubs in nearby towns of Charlevoix, Boyne City, Petoskey and East Jordan are impeccable.

There is so much outdoor space to enjoy - huge porch with multiple sitting areas, landscaped / forested backyard, private beach, side yard with firepit. The host has thought of everything and the layout of the house is good for large groups (we had 5 adults and 4 kids). We rented the host's very nice boat and enjoyed the kayaks and paddleboards every day. Only challenge was that the boat needed to be anchored out away from the dock overnight. A few nearby places you shouldn't miss: take the Ironton ferry or kayak to The Landing - really good lakeside food and 100+ rums, have a nice dinner at Cafe Sante in Boyne City and definitely, definitely hit up Boyne City / Gilda's Bakery for amazing French pastries. Really one of the nicest rentals we've ever stayed in, with helpful and responsive hosts and friendly neighbors!"

- "We had a really nice time. The place was beautiful. " - "Very much older architecture and small, but was clean and nice for small people. We used it as an overflow house, so we didn’t spend much time there. Tidy and cozy." - "This place is all about the lake! The house is nestled between M-66 and the lake and has a surprisingly private yard, great expansive lake views on all sides and nice access to the water. Expect some traffic noise from the roadside of the house. The owner is very responsive and did a great job addressing our needs. If you are bringing your boat, the launch access in East Jordan is great. Easy in and out and a quick ride down the shore to the house. The dock has limited cleats and the mooring ball is far out in deep water, which we didn’t use, with a somewhat functional paddle boat. We brought long poles with auger ends that we used to create a secure docking situation for our boat. There is also on lake gas right down from the house and several beaches/sandbars close by or you can head anywhere on the lake. The finger part of the lake is calmer and a great spot for smaller boats. Lake living is what this place is all about. The deck is really nice as is the windowed dining room. The cottage itself is funky but is full of light and has a positive, fun vibe that can add to the lake vacation feel depending on your attitude. Of note, the lake view room is a refurbished cellar space with an exterior door. So you have to go outside across a sometimes slick deck to get into the main house and bathroom. That room also doesn’t have air which was pretty hot during our stay and is kind of damp and dark. The loft is a great space for kids as it has a small, low, narrow staircase with limited head clearance but a nice space once you are up there. Same is true in the kitchen with a low ceiling height - this would be a tough space for a really tall family. The kitchen also really needs an exhaust fan as any type of cooking sets off the smoke detector. The kitchen/dining area, master bedroom and loft have window air conditioning units. The bunk beds in the laundry area stay decently cool with fans. The master bedroom is spacious and separated from the other rooms but directly above the lake view room. We found the bed to be really bouncy, squeaky and uncomfortable. Hopefully the owners upgrade it. All in all, this is a beautiful lake and area and this house has amazing lake access. So if you love the water, plan to boat and don’t mind a real “lake cottage” feel, you’ll be happy."

This one bedroom, one full bathroom apartment has its own private fenced in outside deck with seating to enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine. When you enter the home, you see an open concept living room & kitchen area, the couch has a pull-out full-size bed so the apartment can sleep four. The fully stocked kitchen includes an oven/range, microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher. The bedroom is a queen size bed. There are two AC units, one in the main living space and the other in the bedroom to keep you cool and comfortable during the summer months. All linens & towels are provided, there is no washing machine or dryer.
The driveway has a slight drop down to it so during high snow fall, a low vehicle may have trouble getting out. Snowplow service is provided when snowfall is greater than 4 inches.

**NOTE** This one bedroom/ one bathroom apartment is attached to our main house and both units are listed on VRBO and both properties can be rented at the same time. There is a large and heavy door that is securely locked on both sides so when dually rented, neither guest can unlock from their side to access the other unit. Both have separate front doors with their own smart lock on opposite sides of the home and have been designed to be both private and secluded.

Our cozy log cabin was originally built in the late 1930’s but had all the modern conveniences that you’d expect. Appliances are two years old. Furnishings and beds are very comfy. We love the view of the Jordan River. This cabin was built before the now required set backs so we are literally on the river.
We are located about a 20 minute drive from Boyne Mountain, about an hour from Boyne Highlands and Nubs Nob. Twenty minutes will get you to either Charlevoix or Boyne City.

Sleeps 4 comfortably with a queen bed and extra air mattress for guests or children.
Large living room for entertainment, fully equipped kitchen , 1 full bathroom, small walk-in closet. Basement with equipped washer and dryer.

Getting Around:
Only 3 minutes from Ellsworth and 10 minutes from east Jordan , 20 minutes from charlevoix and 26 minutes from Boyne Mountain.

Other Things to Note:
When you are there must enable Wi-Fi calling. This location has poor cell signal.

Furry friends are welcome but we have some rules:
A. No pets on the furniture
B. Please pick up and dispose of pet waste
C. Additional charges may occur if extra cleaning is needed
D. Max of 2 pets
E. Please make sure you paid the pet fee! ($95 per pet)

Two open room spaces with twin beds in both rooms and a living room turned into another sleeping space for your family of 6! Fans provided. Too late to book a hotel…no worries! Enjoy a campfire outside your door after the kids are tucked in or just want to relax in the porch. A nice time away from television! We are not far from public boat launches and could accommodate a small boat trailer on the property if notified ahead. No lake access at the property. You will be sure to unwind in the peaceful atmosphere. Full size refrigerator, a toaster, coffee maker, frying pan and a microwave are the kitchen appliances available.

The Hideaway on the hill, is a quaint house with the feeling of home. Its large yard gives you room to hang out and relax, or explore.
