Walk the beach, stroll along the riverbank, or walk the boardwalk which stretches for blocks just outside the condo building. Hike or bike the nearby paved Heritage Bike Trail to scenic Northern Michigan destinations.

This 375 sq ft condo is equipped with heat and air conditioning, a Roku Smart TV, fast WiFi for internet access, and an Amazon echo for playing music from streaming devices. Fresh updates include new paint, new fixtures, and all new furniture throughout including a luxurious queen sized bed, leather sofa, and comfy boucle chairs. The condo has one full bath with a shower/tub combination, a cute kitchenette complete with West Elm designer dishes & silverware, basic cooking utensils, glasses, a Ninja Dual Brew Coffee Machine (for ground coffee and K-cups), pots/pans, microwave, refrigerator, and a full set of hardware (NOTE: there is no oven or dishwasher in this unit). Coin operated washer & dryer are located in the common area of the building on the same floor as this studio. There is a gas grill on property for use by guests.

This privately owner unit is nestled on the water in a discreetly gated property. No public check in or check out required, however, we are nearby if assistance is needed. The unit is on the ground floor of the building and is not handicap accessible.

Note: although the condo is located inside the Homestead Resort, it is not a resort owned property, it is privately owned by us. The Homestead pools and tennis courts are not available for use. There are public tennis courts, pickleball courts in Glen Arbor. You will have access to to all of the resort amenities that are open to the public, such as all grounds and beach areas, most of the restaurants, golf (ski hill in winter), spa, salon, and the shops in the Village.

This is a beautiful location between two bodies of water with incredible sunset views over Lake Michigan, from a ground floor deck with the Manitou Islands and Sleeping Bear Point in the distance.

A short distance away from downtown Glen Arbor or the Homestead Village where you can find restaurants, canoe/kayak/boat/bike rentals, unique shops, putt putt golf, and a park with a playground for the kids. Glen Lake schools also has a beautiful playground, a great place for a picnic in the summer and a great place hang out with the kids.

This condo is heated. No air conditioning but ceiling fans and fresh air from the lake makes for a comfortable stay.

Winter provides another beautiful season with downhill/cross country skiing at the Homestead Resort. The National Lakeshore offers opportunities for snowshoeing and crosscountry skiing, with miles of trails. Check out the Visitor Center in Empire more information on the trails and beach accesses outside of the Homestead.

This is a privately owned condo, not resort owned. The pools and tennis/pickle board courts are not for public use. Other resort amenities such as the beach, market, shops, ski hill, spa, salon, shops and restaurants are open to the public. This condo is not wheelchair accessible.

Only a short drive to the Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes, hiking trails, restaurants, and Wineries of Leelanau County. Lake Michigan in the front and the Crystal River a short walk away.

Located in the charming town of Glen Arbor, the Barn on the Bay is a new luxury home right outside of town. This wonderful open-concept home is situated in a beautiful park-like natural setting and around the corner from Lake Michigan. 3 bedrooms (one is a loft) and 2 baths, welcome up to 6 guests. Will consider 1 dog 40# or less. This property is beautifully furnished and modern, with gleaming hardwood floors.

Step into the spacious living room/kitchen/dining room area off of the deck. There are high ceilings and natural light pours in. It is a warm and welcoming space. Each window looks out on the restful natural surroundings.

There are two queen beds in the main level bedrooms and two full beds in the loft. There are two full bathrooms. The primary bedroom steps out onto the spacious deck wrapped around part of the house.

The kitchen is well-appointed. If you love to cook, this kitchen does the trick. It is a cook's kitchen with lots of counter space, a gas stove, and plenty of utensils. The living room features an electric fireplace to add ambiance, and a smart TV with streaming only (no cable). WiFi provided.

The views from this space are lovely, with cattails and cedars and wildflowers peeking through the ground. There are woodland animals and birds. The nature lover will find the grounds enchanting. Outdoors, whether on the deck or sitting around the fire pit, relaxation and enjoyment await. A gas grill is provided as well as outdoor dining chairs and a picnic area. There is even an outdoor shower!

Lake Michigan is just 0.3 miles away and an easy walk down a quiet dirt road. The Crystal River is across the main road (M-22) and also has a dock. Two kayaks and a stand-up paddleboard are provided.

Glen Arbor shops and dining are only minutes down the road--you can walk if you'd like! The Sleeping Bear Dune Climb is a 4.5-mile drive. The Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail connects nearby for biking and walking.

Situated at the Homestead Resort, our condo has direct sandy frontage on Lake Michigan as well as direct frontage on the Crystal River. We recently completed a full remodel including all new flooring, kitchen, bathroom, drywall, insulation, paint, built-ins, and new furniture.

We’ve maximized the space to technically sleep 8, but the size is perfectly suited for 5-6 people.

Mother Nature steals the spotlight in Glen Arbor - but there is nothing better than returning to our cozy condo after a long day exploring and enjoying the sites. When remodeling our condo, we spared no comfort-related detail. The interior space is well suited to parties of 5-6 people and is family-friendly.

Outside, there are two decks to lounge on which overlook the river and small dunes near the beach. Crystal River is located directly outside our door and flows into Lake Michigan. Grab a kayak, stand-up paddle board, or tube (all included with your stay) and float your cares away while taking in the stunning views only northern Michigan can offer. Bordered on one side by National Seashore land, this cottage lies at the southern end of the Narrows Bridge dividing Big and Little Glen Lakes. Cottage is five hundred feet from the Narrows isthmus and bridge, with public access to Little Glen Lake available on both sides of the bridge. Walk to public frontage with your raft or kayak. If you prefer a broad sand beach, Glen Haven Beach at the National Seashore is a three-minute drive away with many beautiful and secluded public Lake Michigan beaches available further up the Leelanau Peninsula.

And some of the best road biking in the Midwest is available from your driveway. Begin your ride at the cottage and head off on an easy ride to Glen Arbor village center where you can catch the Heritage Trail--or head northeast on MacFarlane for a challenging ride past Inspiration Point and around Big Glen Lake to the Crystal River and the Heritage Trail.

Bear Haven cottage has two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a screened-in porch for summer. Five beds include three single beds in the second bedroom and a king bed in the master bedroom. There is also a comfortable sleep sofa in the family room.

Rents Saturday to Saturday. Check in 4 PM - check out 10 AM. House close to Sleeping Bear dunes and Dune Climb with Big and Little Glen Lakes across the street. Boat rentals available in walking distance. Bring kayaks and walk to public access on the Narrows Bridge.

Superb biking from cottage. Major hills surround, including on MacFarlane and a series of seven ascents on Benzonia, but equally possible to reach the Heritage Trail bike path stretching from Empire to Good Harbor Bay without a single significant climb by riding into Glen Arbor and catching the Heritage Trail there.

The cottage is honestly nicer than the pictures. Everything needed for a comfortable vacation is provided, including a well-stocked kitchen, linens, towels, coffee maker with filters, fans, pleasant eating areas, fenced in play area for children, and a decent view of Little Glen. The layout is perfect for two families, and the open floor plan is efficient and cozy. One feature that does not get noticed in the VRBO description is the screen porch with shade and pleasant breezes off the lake. This was an amazing place to read, visit, relax, or eat a snack. The host contacted us early on and then closer to our stay. All the information we needed to know was included and it made for a smooth arrival. A nice touch is a keyless entry pad on the front door and notification that the cottage was ready for occupancy earlier than 4:00. The lake can make rentals have a musty smell, but not here! Easy-to-open windows with screens and a recent remodel make for a clean, fresh cottage. One of our guests was a culinary chef, and he loved the kitchen. Fully stocked, spacious, and easy to use. Don’t hesitate to spend a week here with 5 minute drives to Glen Arbor, the National Park, the public dune climb, Glen Haven Beach, and more. A perfect location."

The Little Green Cottage itself backs into the Crystal River. Kayaking from the river into Lake Michigan or into downtown Glen Arbor is a great way to relax & enjoy a beautiful Northern Michigan day. The outside of the property also includes a built in fire pit, outdoor seating, heat lamps, charcoal grills (with easy operating instructions), bikes, basketball hoops, hammocks, nature trails, yard games, toddler toys, balls & racquets, & a heated outdoor shower!

The cottage was designed to allow for an intimate gathering of family & friends. The layout & accommodations consist of a main-floor bedroom & bath, upstairs loft with trundle beds & full bath. The main floor also has an open kitchen concept with direct access to the patio & beautiful views of nature. The kitchen includes a refrigerator/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, gas oven-range, & a large island w/ample counter space. It is also equipped with a main floor clothes washer & dryer.

If you happen to be spending time indoors, the home comes with card games, board games, strategy games, puzzles, retro gaming consoles, LG OLED SmartTV w/Soundbar, Hi-Speed Wi-Fi, books, binoculars (great bird watching), & wonderful beds for napping (no bad beds).

We vacation in Glen Arbor every year and this time we picked a new rental. We were thrilled with our choice. Not only was the house clean and welcoming it was literally right next door to downtown. We have a 10 month on daughter so having the park be less than a 5 minute walk and the beach being a 10 minute walk was perfect! We also loved how dog friendly the home was. They had a leash, poop bags, and dog bowls to welcome Ginger. The host was also amazing with communication. We had a minor thing that needed to be fixed at the house and it was done within 1 day. We also stayed for 2 weeks and they had the cleaning company come by after 1 week to change the bedding/towels and freshen up the place. We truly appreciated it! Can’t wait to stay again next year :)"
