" - "everything " - "Comfortable, updated room, lots of activities, beautiful scenery. " - "It’s looking a little old but it’s still a great value. We had a nice time. Thank you " - "Beautiful grounds, wonderful room!" - "It was way better than our last time ;)" - "Decided the day before to look for a place to stay near Harbor Springs to escape the heat down south and spend time bike riding up north. I had stayed at the Highlands 25 years ago for a ski trip so when it came up and was reasonably priced I decided to try it. We were happy with the room and the pools to spend time by. Lots of neat activities geared towards kids (movies on the lawn, smores). Was not very busy which made it extra quiet and relaxing. We did not do the downhill cross country but that was obviously very popular. We only ate at the pizza place one night and it was good, so I cannot speak to the other restaurants on site (BTW, highly recommend State Provisiions for Sunday breakfast). We would stay again."

Welcome to “Blissful Cabin” — a peaceful, one-of-a-kind retreat on Lake Michigan
Inside, this cozy vintage cabin captures the feel of a classic summer retreat. Thoughtfully refreshed in 2025, it now features new light fixtures that brighten the space while preserving the cabin’s original rustic charm, a beautifully remodeled bathroom with a spacious shower, baseboard heat, and a king bed and a private outdoor deck — perfect for slow mornings or evening stargazing. The skylights and screened windows bring in soft natural light and breezes, while the outdoor deck offers a peaceful place to relax.
While the cabin does not include air conditioning, we provide a box fan, and the screened windows welcome in lake breezes to keep things cool during the warmer months.
The living area includes a smart TV for quiet movie nights or catching up on your favorite shows, though we encourage guests to enjoy the slower pace of lake life. This is a place to unplug — with minimal modern distractions — just the sounds of the water, the warmth of the fireplace, and the simple beauty of cabin life.
The shoreline offers a beautiful blend of sand and stones, with its character changing naturally throughout the year. We recommend bringing water shoes for swimming or leisurely walks, especially if you're drawn to beachcombing — the rock-picking just south of the cabin is especially rewarding.
If you're looking for a cozy, character-filled space with a touch of modern comfort, all set in a naturally beautiful location, “Blissful Cabin” is ready to welcome you.

The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We absolutely loved every minute of our wonderful week in this cabin. The cabin is rustic with a toaster that didn't toast both sides of the bread, a table that wobbles, and a couch that sinks when you sit on it, BUT it was everything we wanted and more. The bed was reasonably comfortable, the plumbing excellent (hot, strong showers), and the locale above the lake, hearing the waves, was marvelous. We didn't want to leave. It was private, stunningly gorgeous, and deeply relaxing. The VPNM staff were very responsive to my questions and accommodating throughout our stay. Blissful cabin, indeed!"

This stunning 125+ year old cabin in Good Hart with private beach access along the Tunnel of Trees is walking distance from Good Hart. Located on M-119, it is just 20 minutes North of Harbor Springs and 10 minutes North is Cross Village/Legs Inn. This is a perfect place to get away from it all whether you want to do a fall color tour, ski, motorcycle, or hit up all the gorgeous beaches this area has to offer. This is a beautiful spot to making some Northern Michigan memories!
**Please note this cabin does not have wifi or cell service (there is service a 5 minute walk down the road in the town of Good Hart) because when you are at the cabin, it time to really unplug! The private beach property is a 10 minute walk away or 2 minute car ride and is one of the most stunning beaches in the area! **
Also, that this is an small cabin. Though it can sleep 6 with an pull out couch, it is something to think about space wise.
- "The title of this review sums it up for me. The cottage is just as advertised. Thanks for helping to make our vacation a great one." - "The cabin was so charming and with beach access! Loved our stay! Garage was great to hang out in, everything you need to cook, great views! Thank you for sharing your cabin. Will definitely be visiting again" - "We loved staying here! The cabin is very well stocked with everything that we needed. The kitchen was surprisingly well equipped and we were able to use it to cook every day we stayed there with no troubles. It is just a short 2 minute drive to the private beach but it is a bit difficult to swim due to the larger rocks about 20 feet into the water. Very clean and very lovely. We will definitely be coming back!"

- "Private beach was fantastic! A perfect spot to relax and read while enjoying the sounds of the water." - "3 Girlfriends stayed two nights. Long walks on the beach, short trips to Harbor Springs and Petoskey. Host Dave shared his passion with his boat, plane and trains and gave us a tour of his workshop. Beautiful place to stay." - "This place was perfect. The location was wonderful. It was actually closer to the shore than the pictures make it look. It was such an easy drive to the most picturesque little town. I have never stayed in a rental that was so clean. We cooked a lot and there was never a time when we thought of something we needed in the utensil/pans area. It was a well-equipped kitchen. My husband really enjoyed using the grill pan on the gas stove. (Just beware, there is no freezer and a dorm-like fridge, but it worked well for us). The hosts were welcoming and present, yet we had plenty of privacy."

- "Bears Den was clean and comfortable, but could use a chair. Private setting, and our hosts were helpful and available as needed. Served a great breakfast as well. Would go back again." - "Great property with a clean room and delicious breakfast provided." - "We stayed 2 nights at the Bear's Den at Happy Days and Nights Bed and Breakfast. The innkeepers, Chris and Jessica do an outstanding job of creating a welcoming environment. We chose this property because they are pet friendly, but it exceeded our expectations. The Bear's Den is very private as the entrance is on the back side of the wine tasting room. Wine tasting closes at 6 p.m. so it is very quiet in the evenings. There is a beautiful hot tub and sauna for guest use. However, what made the stay was the fantastic breakfast that Jessica and Chris prepare and serve. It is cooked to order and served in a beautiful dining area. We highly recommend this property and will stay again when we visit the area."

The location was superb and the house was so tidy and well decorated. We really enjoyed our time and the property management company made check-in and other communication very easy. We were told ahead of time that the ice machine wasn’t working, and when we arrived they provided a bag of ice, which was very helpful for our stay. I highly recommend this rental and we will be renting from here again when we return. One heads up is that the address on the materials doesn’t match the address on the door so it was a little tricky to find at first. That being said, the neighbors and shops around were very helpful."

- "I enjoyed our suite at Spirit Lake Retreat. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and furnished to make best use of the space. The included smores package was a nice touch." - "Spirit Lake Retreat is upscale and very cozy. It’s located in a remote area in Cross Village and offers a “glamping” feeling. I rented three studio’s and they were identical in furnishings etc. However, only two had air conditioning units. It is in a remote location so the internet is spotty but it’s so beautiful in Cross Village. We had a great time at Legs Inn and Sturgeon Bay Dunes! It’s a quiet peaceful retreat!"

The Perch cabin is situated at the bluff’s edge, affording a stunning view of Lake Michigan. Named because of its idyllic, relaxing lake feel, this quaint, cozy cabin is decorated in fresh blues and corals. It’s the little touches that make Perch homey— hand-crafted Bliss furnishings, a custom chandelier, paneled walls, and a large stone fireplace. Above the sofa hangs the “Wigwam” sign, original to the property’s restaurant of days gone by. Its well-appointed galley kitchen has all you’ll need to prepare morning coffee or an evening meal.
The private patio area beckons you to finish that novel, enjoy an afternoon nibble, or indulge in an evening cocktail. Dappled sunshine, lovely views, and unique accents help say welcome, we’re glad you’re here.
- "My husband and I were so happy with our stay at this property. The view is breathtaking and it's so peaceful. We appreciated the binder with information on things to do around the area including, beaches, where to eat, fishing, etc. Everything was so clean and organized. We loved watching the sunset at our own private firepit. We'll definitely be back!" - "This is a terrific location and a wonderfully outfitted cozy place. There is no direct beach access, but a fantastic quiet sandy beach is a short drive away (less than 10 minutes). The grounds at Blisswood are fun and inviting. The view of the lake and sunsets is stunning. The game room has, yes, games, and working TV. The general store is nearby for those small things that we needed or forgot to bring. The cabin itself is comfortable and well equipped. Dana was a terrific and accessible host as well. A marvelous vacation! Recommended. I would be glad to return."

- "This is our first time renting in Harbor Springs. As it was just my wife and I with our dog we didn't need a large place to rent and that can be hard to find close to downtown. This property was more than large enough for us and we used the upstairs loft for stretching and yoga. The location is great - 3/4 of a mile from the grocery store and about 1 mile to downtown. Across the street is a nice park for walking our dog, playing pickleball, etc. with a view of the bay. The host family were great to rent from and made sure we were fully accommodated with what we needed. Highly recommend this property for those not needing a lot of bedrooms like us but wanted a comfortable and private place to stay in Harbor Springs."

- "We had a wonderful stay at this property. The property is located a little more than a mile from Harbor Springs which made it extremely convenient. It was nice to be able to go out for dinner or ice cream and not have to travel far. The property has an amazing view of Lake Michigan from the living room/front patio. There is an umbrella table and chairs in front where we ate all of our meals and enjoyed the view. The house itself is spacious and very clean. Unlike most rentals, the kitchen is extremely well stocked with every kind of utensil, bowl, spoon, etc. that you would need to make a meal. It made cooking enjoyable and easy. The master bath is even better than shown in the photos and we also enjoyed the king-sized bed in the master. The other bedroom had plenty of space with a queen-sized bed and spacious closets. The rest of the living space was comfortable, sparsely decorated (which I appreciated) and spacious. The beach was a short walk down and across the street which made it easy to spend a couple of hours there, go back to the house for lunch, then return for the afternoon. You have to be cautious walking, though, because the road is narrow and many cars drive faster than they should. Cars would generally slow down when they saw us walking. The path down to the beach is steep and should be a consideration if anyone in your group is not steady on their feet. The beach itself is gorgeous. There is a deck with plenty of Adirondack -style chairs. It is a shared space with other association members but most of the time, we were the only ones there. If you enjoy walking or running along the beach, you are in luck. You can go for quite a long way and the beauty is breath-taking! I would recommend water shoes for swimming because the first several feet into the water have lots of large rocks which make it hard to walk out. Once you get beyond those, it is sandy. My husband and I used water shoes every time we went into the water. My daughter eventually got used to going out with bare feet. There were many wonderful aspects of this property and our trip overall but probably the best part was getting to observe two bald eagles, which we could see when swimming in the water, flying and perching in the trees. They were amazing! Overall, we would highly recommend this property and would feel lucky if we have the opportunity to return to it!"

Inspired by its namesake, the beautiful Merganser duck, the cabin is decorated in rich reds, dark green, black, and rusty cinnamon. Dressed in delightful checks and plaids, it has a gracious sportsman feel. Its open floor plan and vaulted ceiling afford plenty of room to gather at both the breakfast bar and cozy seating beside the stately stone fireplace. The dining table, with its corner windows, affords a lovely lake view; the perfect place to piece together a puzzle or watch the setting sun. There are numerous original Bliss furnishings throughout. The bedroom’s crisp linens and velvet edged shams lend a rustic, delightfully comfortable feel, perfect for snuggling on a chilly night. The galley kitchen is stocked with all the cookware and tools you’ll need to prepare a delicious dinner.
A private patio is tucked away, nestled beneath the pines—the perfect spot for breakfast or an evening cocktail. Enjoy your stay; the rich patinas of Merganser will leave you feeling welcomed, rested and restored.

Come soak in the hot tub after a long day skiing in Northern Michigan! This cozy house is a set in a quiet neighborhood, close to the local schools, parks, tennis courts, beach or a short drive to Boyne Highlands or Nubs We are a small, but busy family.
The space
Please note, this small house is home to myself, 2 kids and two furry friends most of the year. We are not originally from Northern Michigan, so we rent the space out while we travel to visit our family and friends, or while #vanlifeing in our Sprinter camper van. We are happy to share our home and love to be able to take part in your family adventures!! As you will notice when you arrive, one of the bedrooms is always a dedicated 'Guest Room', while the other two bedrooms are typically used as our bedrooms. We do our best to put our things away or aside to give you the best possible experience while staying in our home. We do a thorough cleaning, but please keep in mind, unlike a typical hotel, our family pets live here :) If anyone has severe dog or cat allergies, make note of this and make the best decision if this is for you!

Please respect quiet hours between 10:00 p.m. (22:00) and 7:00 a.m. (07:00). There is no smoking anywhere on property; which includes inside the house, the front and back porches, and the driveway. Please only eat upstairs in the loft or downstairs at the dining table to avoid food stains on the bedspreads and blankets. Coffee, or tea, and a homemade Shari Bar (my take on a granola-type bar and, sorry, the recipe is a family secret that’s as jealously guarded as Colonel Sanders’ 11 herbs and spices 😉) will be provided each morning of your stay. The bathroom for the Twin Bed bedroom is downstairs, and it is private for your use only during your stay. I also have one other Airbnb listing in this home. So, be aware that it may be occupied during part or all of your stay. I have complimentary Wi-Fi in the house and you will be provided a QR code for access upon check-in. Permission to use the kitchen will be allowed as long as this privilege is respected (e.g., do not leave a mess, dirty dishes, et cetera, for someone else to clean up). IMPORTANT: This house may very well not be suitable for young children due to it having an upstairs railing that overlooks a 25' vaulted ceiling, as well as an outdoor koi pond. Guests must be capable of climbing stairs, as all bedrooms and the guest living room are located upstairs.
Guest Room Climate Control Information
This guest room does not have a dedicated HVAC vent. However, the house is equipped with central heating and air conditioning, as well as with ceiling fans upstairs (which is where the guest room is located). To ensure optimal comfort, especially during periods of extreme heat, I suggest leaving your guest room door open during the day to allow cool air from the rest of the house to circulate effectively. If you opt not to do this, just be aware that the bedroom will heat up during the day, and it will take some time for the residual heat to dissipate when you return to your room. For additional airflow, a floor fan is also provided in the room for your convenience.

Spacious & bright, the Upper Room is your glamp headquarters as you explore Northern Michigan.
Savor morning coffee in the MCM-styled studio before you take the ferry to Mackinac Island, or shop & dine in Petoskey or Harbor Springs, or rock-hunt at one of the nearby beaches.
Take in spring sunrises, summer sunsets, fall colors, and countless stars year-round--then retreat from your adventures to roast marshmallows on a campfire, or stay in with wine & a movie. Then do it all again tomorrow.
The space
The apartment is a studio above the garage with queen bed, love sofa, dining table and chairs, TV, and a dry kitchenette equipped with toaster, Keurig, mini fridge, wine glasses and mugs. The apartment's French doors open onto a large deck.
We're calling the space "glamping," because though it's a leap above a tent and a few steps above a yurt or RV, it still has its rugged quirks:
-The bathroom is in a separate building. Guests may use the bathroom and shower in the main house, about 100 feet or a minute's walk from the space. This is the bathroom we use, but while the apartment is occupied we primarily keep it private for guests. Guests of the Glamp Apartment may also use the composting outhouse (shared with camping guests).
-The apartment has no running water, though a water dispenser is freshly filled for each of our guests (and of course the bathroom in the house is fully plumbed).
-The space is conditioned with a window A/C unit and fan when it's warm, and a space heater and extra blankets when its cool.
Guest access
Guests have shared use, with other tent/RV campers, of a fire ring and deck with views of Lake Michigan.
Other things to note
As mentioned, the bathroom is not attached to the apartment, but guests of the Upper Room can use the bathroom on the main floor of the house, or the composting outhouse. The bathroom in the house, with shower, is about a 100 feet from the deck; about a minute's walk down a hill and around the garage.
Typically, during the school year the house bathroom is heavily trafficked by our family while preparing for school/work, around 6-8 in the mornings. Other than that, we try to keep the bathroom available and private to our guests.
We also rent spaces for tent camping and RVs on our property, so expect to see others (especially during the summer).
We have a Harbor Springs address but are closest to Cross Village. It is a rural property, which means it gets very dark, and a certain kind of quiet--quiet filled with the noises of birds, coyotes, and a squeaky windmill.
Garden view • Room-darkening shades • Body soap • Ethernet connection • Essentials • Hair dryer • Hot water • Bed linens • Shampoo • Lake view
This is the North side of a duplex. Quiet secluded setting with a breathtaking view of Lake Michigan, Sunsets, Beaver Island and more. We consider it our own personal dark sky park; the stars on a clear night are unobstructed by any neighboring lights. Unbelievable stargazing. Welcome to your own personal retreat!
The space
The guest house has two bedrooms. One with a king bed and the other has a full size bed. Both bedrooms have air conditioning units for the rare hot days. There is a hide-a-bed sofa in the living room and a TV with Roku. The kitchen is well outfitted with everything you need to do your own cooking and baking. The bathroom area has a shower and a utility closet equipped with a
small washer/dryer unit and cleaning supplies.
Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire Ranch side of the home as well as the North side of the front deck. The property has 31 acres, 11 wooded; that guests may walk on. There are mowed paths on the property which can be accessed from both sides of the driveway (about half way up.)
Other things to note
The closest gas station and groceries are 3 miles away in Cross Village. There is also a small farmer's market there, open 3-6 PM Tuesday through Saturday.

G Maps brings you 1.2 miles south of the property, to an intersection with no homes.. We are working to correct it. If you change the Road to Estate it takes you straight to the house, the trouble is, there is no sign and no estate rd in the area.. Mysterious! Newly remodeled A Frame Cabin in the woods of Hidden Hamlet in Harbor Springs, Michigan. Located in the little neighborhood at the base of Nubs Nob Ski Resort, this is a peaceful and quiet neighborhood surrounded by beautiful trees.
Currently we are renting this as an open bedroom loft with a queen bed. There is also a pull out sofa sleeper on the main floor, but you know the comfort level of those...
Check us out on Instagram @potters_cottage
The space
This space was just renovated by my husband and me this summer, we are still working out the kinks. It is a warm and cozy cabin with a NEW furnace, but there are little things here and there that we haven’t finished such as trim in bathrooms. There are also no bathroom mirrors yet.
There is NO TV. NO WIFI. This is a quiet peaceful getaway cabin with very little ammenities. At this time, the FIREPLACE is not available for guest use. Thank you for understanding!
We are brand new to the rental game...please make helpful suggestions, but don't be too hard on us:)
Guest access
There is an open loft bedroom with a brand new queen bed, and a leather couch that has a sofa sleeper in living area. No TV. No WiFi.
*Please note there are very large windows on both the front and the back of the house. It's really what makes the house special. The bathroom has privacy glass but some people have mentioned they do not like the lack of privacy. The windows are my favorite part and I love waking up and seeing the trees on both sides of the loft- however please be aware.
Under counter refrigerators in kitchen and gas stove, coffee maker and thats about it for appliances.
The BASEMENT is our personal area. We ask that you please respect it and do not hang out down there. Please do not sleep in the basement, this area is not finished and if my cleaning crew has to clean it, they charge me and I will have to deduct that from your security deposit.
We really want to remain PET FRIENDLY so please treat our home with love and respect and clean up after your pet. Thanks!
Other things to note
As of now, this is a bare bones cabin, meant for relaxation and peace. Please be prepared to enjoy being slightly "off the grid". I have T Mobile and my service is pretty good, I think AT&T is also adequate. We will eventually be adding TVs and more amenities, until then, she's pretty simple.
Please know that anything above and beyond "normal" wear and tear on our house such as blood, vomit, excessive pet messes or anything similar will result in you forfeiting part or all of your security deposit. In order to keep our place nice for guests and for ourselves we pay a lot to make sure it stays the way. Thanks for understanding.

The space
Although it is a private apartment furnished with bathroom, kitchen, living room, bar area and studio bedroom, the owners live upstairs in the same house. You will be able to hear us and our two black labs when we are home.
Other things to note
We do live upstairs in the same house, but you will have your own private space. The stairs to get upstairs are outside, so you are able to lock off the entire unit that you will be staying in.

Enjoy summer days and gorgeous nights! We are located in a rustic area of northwest Michigan, 15 miles north of Harbor Springs, within 2 miles of the Tunnel of Trees. We are conveniently located for nature preserves, state parks, hiking trails, beautiful beaches, and Mackinaw City / Island. Our home is attached to the guest suite but guests access their suite via a secured private entrance. Our equipped kitchen has a pantry, fresh farm eggs, butter, a home-baked item, ground coffee, and teas.
The space
Guests are welcome to use our walking trails and garden paths. In the Winter months, some trails may be open for snowshoeing and/or cross country skiing. (Please inquire if interested.) During summer months, a grill (with utensils) and a small fire pit are available (per local fire conditions), with picnic table, chairs, and umbrella, located on a private patio with yard access.
Guest access
Our guests will access the suite through their own entrance. Since our house is attached, we can access the suite through the stairwell as needed, but when guests are present, we will keep the adjoining door locked for mutual privacy.
Other things to note
If a family is traveling with a young child, we provide a safety gate for the stairs, as a precaution, if requested. Also, children under two years of age are permitted and welcome. We can provide a "Pack-n-Play" for sleeping as needed for infants and those under two. Safety latches are installed on cabinets that contain cleaning supplies and detergents.

This cute little chalet is surrounded and tucked in the woods of Pleasantview Township and is located approximately 8-10 miles to Petoskey or Harbor Springs where great dining and shopping abound.
Snowmobile and ATV trails are right outside your door. The Highlands of Harbor Springs is 8 minutes away with golf and skiing, along with Nubs Nob Ski hills and access to our many beautiful beaches. This is a one way in and out quiet and hilly paved road in a great place for your next vacation.
The space
The chalet is nestled in the woods on 1 acre between two other chalets in which one is seasonal and the other is where we live so you may see us also enjoying the outdoors. We do use the same driveway access from the road so you may or may not hear us going to or coming home from work on weekdays or heading out to enjoy our beautiful towns and area as we know you will for sure! Don’t hesitate to say hello if you feel inclined! Your call😊
Our dogs Nico, a Maltipoo and Mable, our medium sheepdog mix share our home and are very friendly. They do sometimes like to greet visitors but only if your comfortable with that. They tend to be pretty quiet but if you do hear them bark, it could be there is a deer or coon wandering through the woods. We have many deer.
State land surrounds us on 2 sides and Boyne owns property and a golf course at the end of our road which becomes a two track so be prepared to sometimes hear four wheelers, quad runners or maybe some dirt bikes in the warm seasons, plus snowmobiles and a nightly trail groomer in the snowy months.
There are raspberry and blackberry bushes on the south side of the rental that can be enjoyed in season. Also many on the trails down through the woods.
We have a fire pit where you and friends can gather near the front deck, but keep in mind it is rustic. We sometimes have local burn bans and so it should only be used when there isn’t one issued. We have a few outdoor chairs for you to use but if you’d like to bring some extra campfire chairs, feel free to do that.
You’ll likely see some critters in the woods, such as deer, chipmunks, squirrels, raccoons, porcupines, maybe a skunk (hopefully not) rabbits and many birds.
We do have bear in the surrounding area but haven’t had any on the property for several years. Sightings from a safe place and distance can be exciting! So…. make sure any food is contained and cleaned up by the end of the night.
Our road is a great place to hike down through the wooded two tracks so bring some insect repellant if you plan to venture out! We do supply a can of mosquito fogger for you to use around the property.
We hope you love and enjoy the area as much as we do.!
