Lumberjack day in Blind River seems to be every Civic Long weekend and appears to be a big festival,
same goes for Community Day in Thessalon.

Museum in Iron Bridge is a good little pit stop and a great way to get to know the area better. (Highly recommend this)

THE 12 SIDED BARN!!!!- Jeff says, I don't know if my inner farmer is coming out here but this was a cool visit for me and was only about 10 mins up the road towards Thessalon.

They appear to only be open on Saturdays from 9am - 2 pm and it includes a Farmers Market (produce, art, baking), Crafts and Coffee.

I know weird but fun fact, there's only 4 of these in Ontario. Thank you Jeff!

Thessalon Beach - Could be the best beach around and only 18 mins from the cottage, "we were all dumbfounded when we got to this beach every time around 11 am thinking it would be packed as there is a trailer park just behind it but nope NOT A SOUL!"

Located in the district of East Algoma - in the town of Iron Bridge, Ontario, Cliff's Place is a one-of-a-kind vacation retreat. The house boasts a designer kitchen, a beautiful view from the living room window of the Mississagi River, comfortable furnishings (all on one floor), and a fully landscaped 0.75-acre lot, complete with both a Berry Garden and an Orchard.

The property is located halfway between the towns of Thessalon and Blind River, Ontario half a kilometer off Highway 17, and is ideally situated for day trips into the Cities of Sault Ste. Marie, and Sudbury, ON. The Aces Restaurant is about a fifteen-minute walk from the house (you must cross the bridge), and boasts some of the best Chinese Cuisine in the region. The Red Top Restaurant offers many vegetarian choices on their menu.

Basic amenities are provided in the kitchen - complimentary frozen fresh berries from the garden, 1 Liter of 2% milk, 6 farm fresh eggs, and a loaf of bread, homemade preserves, and a 375 g rasher of Bacon (if Vegetarian, please confirm and we will omit the Bacon and/or Milk/Eggs). The cupboards are stocked with basic staples. All we ask is if you use a bag or two of these staples, please consider replacing what you've used; take a little, give a little!

We also offer cable dish television, Wifi Internet Access, and Movies on DVD and VHS. Also provided are classic board games; Crokinole, Cribbage, Dominoes, Scrabble, and KerPlunk. There are two security cameras in the kitchen; one directed at the front door, and another directed at the side yard. The other security cameras are located in the Homeowner’s private storage room.

Check-in is after 15:30, and check-out is by 11:00 am. Come and discover all that East Algoma, Ontario has to offer including fishing, hunting, swimming, river tubing, golfing, local farmer’s markets - and so much more! The minimum stay at our property is 4 days, and longer stays are also negotiable with the Homeowners/Hosts.

Please note*
-There is no running water (except in the shower), and a limited heat source. This is off grid. You will have solar or battery powered lights, use a BBQ (includes propane) for cooking and an outdoor washbasin to do dishes. (It is suggested to bring paper plates but dishes & cutlery are provided).

-water jugs for washing/drinking will be provided

-outdoor seating & propane firepit. (Town by-laws to be followed).

-Cabin has an antique ice chest for storing perishables...ice will be provided for it.

-When considering your beverages, please NO glass containers. The cabin is elevated on a rock outcrop....glass breaks easily

-There are three hunting dogs on the property but are people friendly

-The lake is large and springfed. It is not ideal for swimming until July but is great for fishing Lake Trout, Muskie, Bass or Perch

-Kayaks are available for use. Lifejackets required and supplied

"Ma Cabine" is located on our private property. Shared amenities with other Campground/Resort guests (beach, volleyball court, horseshoe pits, etc.) Cabin is located in a private setting. Outdoor picnic table and fire pit provided.
Ample parking space available for multiple vehicles, trailers, etc.
I am on site and available for guest if they have any questions or concerns.
Quiet rural setting surrounded by crown land, ATV Trails and right off the Snowmobile Trail.
No public transportation.
WIFI available for an additional fee. Cell phone booster is provided however cell phone service can be limited depending on provider. Owner's pets also living on the property - very friendly newfoundland dog and a few outdoor cats. Pre-cooked meals or stocked fridge available upon request for additional fees (contact host for additional information).

This beautiful waterfront property was built as a dream home by two family friends. They spent their lives here beside the big water on the north channel of Lake Huron enjoying their shared passions of boating, fishing, and nature.
