A beautiful cabin, a perfect gateway yet fun and very close to Tobermory downtown, only 3 minutes. Make your trip to Tobermory or to the grotto even more pleasant with staying with us in our cabins. A very different kind of experience from a typical hotel. Having your own fire pit sounded with good friends is just memorable.

Whether you want to explore the town, go on a hike with friends and family, or make fire by your cabin, this is the place to be!

The space

The cabin comes with two double beds, include bidding, that can accommodate four people at once. The cabin has power so you don't need to worry about your electronic run out of juice. Half sized refrigerator is also provided to enhance our customer experience. Heater is also provided to make our guests stay more comfortable and cozy. Fan is at your service incase the weather gets too warm. There is no washroom in the cabin itself but there is a shared washroom with shower (paid, $1 every 5 minutes ) outside of the cabin, it is clean and it is accessible at all the time. There is also a shared grilles that you can cook your favourite dishes.

Free parking is also available for our customer.

Note: Wifi is only available by the shop area. The internet signal doesn't reach the cabins. The Cellular Service like Telus, Bell, Rogers and Fido works pretty good tho.

Firewood can be purchased from the shop. Please don't bring your own firewoods.

- "Perfect secluded cottage to get away from it all." - "My family and I (wife and daughter), stayed for only a few short nights yet were blown away by the beauty, seclusion, and homely feel of the Lands End. With more time, I'm sure we would have settled in even further, but making the most of our limited time was easy with how close we were to Tobermory and all of the Bruce; parks, trails, waterfronts, and landscapes. The cost of visiting Tobermory has definitely gone up, as well as the amount of planning necessary to see the best of the Bruce Peninsula. This is not our first time in Tobermory, and every visit has been a wonderful experience in its own way. Bearfoot Lodge is situated on the northern tip of the Bruce Peninsula beside the National Park, between Georgian Bay and Lake Huron. The area represents over 155 square kilometers at the tip of the Niagara Escarpment, which consists out of limestone cliffs, caves and underground streams, and ancient forests with some of the oldest trees in Canada. - "Great cabin for visiting the Bruce Peninsula with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday. It was just a short drive to popular spots in Tobermory and Lion's Head. The cabin had all needed ammenities and the hosts were very communicative in providing information on check-in and out, plus additional suggestions for things to do. Having six adults around the indoor and outdoor dining tables was a bit of a squeeze but totally doable. Although it's set back from the lake, it's within walking distance and a very short drive to the public lake access point. Would love to return."

Miles Away cottage has a rustic log cabin feel, knotty pine interior with all the amenities you'd ever want. The kitchen is perfectly situated and over looks the lake. The living room is off the kitchen and has a beautiful wood burning fireplace and a dining area with a table that can comfortably seat 8 overlooking the lake. There are 4 bedrooms with a queen bed. Bedroom walls do not reach the ceilings.

Garbage and Recycling:
Please put garbage in the bear bin at the road when you leave. A maximum of 2 black bags is allowed. Any more and the township will not take it.
Bookings that cover Mondays, there is roadside pickup Mondays at 7am for Garbage and recycling.

Occupancy
The maximum number of guests for this cottage is 8 people; up to 4 adults and 4 children. If you exceed this number at any point throughout your booking without the homeowners consent, you and/or your guests may be asked to leave at the homeowners discretion with no refund offered; an extra fee of $200 per person will be billed.

Linens and Toiletries:
Guests are responsible for supplying their own sheets, comforters, pillow cases, towels and dish cloths. Bathroom tissue and paper towels are supplied.

Cleaning:
While we do have a cleaner come in between guests to do a more detailed cleaning, we ask that you leave the cottage clean and tidy. A checklist will be provided.

Garbage:
Garbage day is Monday. Alternatively, disposal recommendations are posted on the fridge at the cottage as well as on the Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula website.
Garbage- You may leave 2 black garbage bags in the bear bin at the road when you leave. Make sure to flip the little flag up in the corner. Please put all recycling in blue bags. They may also go into the bear bin with your 2 black garbage bags.

**Please note, the summer rentals check in and out on Friday. Since garbage day is on Monday, there will be 2 bags plus recycling from the previous renter when you check-in. Once the garbage has been collected on the Monday, you can put your two bags in at that point.

Repair of Property:
Homeowners may enter the premises at all reasonable times in order to inspect the property or make repairs.

Smoking:
No smoking inside the cottage. If smoking on property, please discard all cigarette butts appropriately

Fires:
There is a wood burning fireplace inside the cottage as well as a fire pit on the shore. Firewood is not provided, please be sure to check the Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula by-laws for more information

Lost and Stolen Items:
The homeowner is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Incidentals and Damages:
Please report anything that isn’t working immediately so we can get it fixed for your stay.
Guests shall be responsible for any damages to the property beyond normal wear and tear and any incidental charges.

Indemnification:
Guests agree to indemnify and hold the homeowners harmless from any liability for personal injury or property damage sustained by guest/s or parties invited onto the property by guest/s.

You must also acknowledge
Security Deposit - if you damage the home, you will be charged accordingly.

Please respect the neighbours and how loud sounds and music can travel in the wilderness. Therefore quiet time after 10:00pm

Boats:
Canoe, Stand up Paddle Board and kayaks are for guest use; please educate yourself on use and safety. Guests must wear PFD. Use caution when carrying boats into the water. Please do not drag along the rock as this will damage the boats.

Toilet:
Please abide by posted septic guidelines at cottage, just human waste and toilet paper. Septic systems are very sensitive and costly. Feminine hygiene products and applicators must not be flushed. Also, flushable wipes are NOT flushable at the cottage.

Cleaning Instructions:
Cleaners, vacuum and swiffer wet mop are located in the closet (with decorative paddle) of the bedroom in the breezeway behind the door. In the event that you need them while you're there.

The broom and dustpan are located in the same closet.

Please ensure you complete this checklist before departure:

1. Ensure that all dishes have been put away neatly, not left in sink.

2.Put away all outside toys/games/activities in the garage

3. If you move furniture during your stay, please ensure that you return them to their original position. (including chairs outside)

5. Wipe down inside of the fridge, freezer and microwave.

The space
The open concept main floor of the cottage is the heart of the home with kitchen, living room and dining area all connected which makes it the perfect family space for quality time and memory making.

The main floor also hosts one queen bedrooms and full bathrooms along with a walk out to our tranquil patio equipped with outdoor furniture and propane BBQ. The cottage has high speed internet which is capable of supporting remote work as well as streaming Netflix on the provided flat screen television.

Upstairs, you will find two spacious bedrooms complete with an upper balcony seating area and a second full washroom. The "childrens" bedroom has One double bed and one double/single bunk bed. The remaining bedroom has one queen bed.

The owners love for this cottage shows and you will find a lot of what makes a cottage a home including outdoor fire pit for marshmallow roasting, board games, and books.

The cabin comes with one double beds and one bench bed that can accommodate three people at once. Bidding is inlcuded. The cabin has power so you don't need to worry about your electronic run out of juice. Half sized refrigerator is also provided to enhance our customer experience. Heater is also provided to make our guests stay more comfortable and cozy. Fan is at your service incase the weather gets too warm. There is no washroom in the cabin itself but there is a shared washroom with shower (paid, $1 every 5 minutes ) outside of the cabin, it is clean and it is accessible at all the time. There is also a shared grilles that you can cook your favourite dishes.

Free parking is also available for our customer.

Note: Wifi is only available by the shop area. The internet signal doesn't reach the cabins. The Cellular Service like Telus, Bell, Rogers and Fido works pretty good tho.

Our cottage is located on Warner Bay, where the water tends to be warmer, and calmer and is crystal clear, excellent for swimming and kayaking. The water is very shallow along the shoreline, which makes it safe for small children.

We are accepting 1 week-minimum rentals for July and August.
All other times we are accepting 3-night minimum rentals.

Guests have access to the entire cottage.
The keys are located in the lockbox, at the side door.

- NO Dogs or other pets -this is firm, no exceptions

- Please no noise after 11 pm - this is a strict bylaw in the Northern Bruce Peninsula.

– Bed linens and towels, pillows, and blankets are provided.
- Beds have mattress protectors on them; pillows have pillow protectors.

- Flat rock with gradual shallow entry shoreline. Swim shoes are recommended. There is a manmade sand area. Singing Sands is located 12km away.

- Renters are responsible to do a full clean of the cottage (cleaning supplies provided) and remove all garbage/recycling at the end of the rental period.

As a full-service rental, we provide all bed linens, towels and kitchen essentials needed for your stay. Our local host Naomi is also happy to answer any questions and provide assistance as needed.

The Lake - THE SUNSETS!
Sherwood is situated directly on Lake Huron with due west spectacular sunset views and over 100' of private frontage, with neighbours only on one side. We offer two lakeview decks - one sheltered at the house and the other at the rocky shoreline, both equipped with a total of ten custom-made Muskoka chairs. The 16 x 16 Sunset Deck also features a large canopy umbrella for all-day enjoyment, plus a shoreline firepit.

Stargazer or hoping to see the Northern Lights? Sherwood has 180-degree views of the N/NW sky across Lake Huron.

Our lagoon, located in the Fathom Five National Marine Park, offers both swimming for adults and shallow areas for small children to play while supervised. If you prefer the bigger lake, a short walk or swim will take you to many interesting shoals and swimming areas of varying depths. Snorkelling is particularly good and we are close to the 1871 wreck of the Cascaden, which is visible by boat on calm days. Swim shoes are recommended and we do have some available for your use, as well as snorkelling masks, fins and many other water toys for young and old!

The Living Space
The main living area is 36' x 17', open concept and features a compact but well-laid-out kitchen and breakfast bar, table for six and seating area, illuminated by a massive picture window that looks onto Lake Huron. Cozy up and enjoy one of the hundreds of books in our library, listen to your favourite playlist on our bluetooth-enabled sound system, or pick something new from our extensive CD library. You can stream your favourite shows via high-speed Starlink Internet or dive deep into our carefully curated DVD library of classics - both old and new. If you need more diversion, we also have a massive selection of board games for all ages.

Also - because we care - safety equipment on-site includes an AED, fire extinguisher, first-aid kit, smoke and C0 detectors.

The Screened Porch
Just beyond the dining area is a double door leading to the generous 20 x 20 screened porch, panelled in cedar and furnished in top-of-the-line Hauser teak. It Includes an extension table that seats eight comfortably, a very large L-shaped sofa and two club chairs - all recently and beautifully reupholstered. Whether it's a rainy day or you just want to snuggle in, you'll be surrounded by forest and wildlife on three sides. Sit quietly and the hummingbirds will visit. An ideal spot for a relaxed evening of bug-free games and cocktails!

The Kitchen
The cook's kitchen is fully equipped with excellent-quality cookware and everything you need to prepare delicious meals, including a vast array of essentials: spices, serving dishes, glassware (red wine, champagne and cocktail), cookbooks and bar accoutrements. The freezer includes an ice-maker and the beverage fridge is available to host your overflow. Just outside the kitchen door is a large-format Broil King fully-fuelled propane BBQ grill.

The Beds
It's all about the beds: if you don't sleep well, you don't feel well. Our top-quality mattresses, down mattress-toppers and duvets, as well as excellent down and hypo-allergenic pillows and extra blankets will ensure you get some of the best sleep of your life. The cedar-panelled bedrooms are cottage-classic cozy but we have recently redesigned them to offer maximum storage in minimal space, including suitcase shelves and plenty of hooks (see photos). The Kid's Room features lots of toys, books and games to keep the young ones entertained!

The Neighbourhood
We are located on a low-traffic road, making it ideal for after-dinner or early-morning walks. Wildlife abounds, including foxes, mink, porcupines, the occasional fisher and - if you're very lucky - shy black bears. Birdwatching is excellent and we have binoculars and bird books for your use. A Nature Conservancy trail system is a short walk away, and we are a 30-minute bike ride (please bring your own) from the Village of Tobermory and 20 minutes' drive to the Grotto, Singing Sands and other local highlights.

You have sole access to the entire property (except crawl space). There is no docking in the Fathom Five Marine Park; this property is not watercraft-accessible.

We are compliant with the new municipal STA bylaws in Northern Bruce Peninsula, including fire and septic inspections, limits on the number of guests and adhering to parking and noise regulations. If you are considering renting on the Saugeen (Bruce) this summer, ensure that your host is also compliant, as fines can be substantial and enforcement will be strict. Hudson's Rock has a rustic log cabin feel but with all the amenities you'd ever want. The kitchen is perfectly situated and over looks the lake. The living room is off the kitchen and has a beautiful wood burning fireplace, tv, and windows over looking the lake. The dining area has a table that can comfortably sit 6. There are 3 bedrooms including the master ensuite with a King bed, sofa bed, laundry and 2 piece washroom. The spare bedroom with a double bed, and an amazing kid loft that has 2 single beds and 1 double bed. There is a second full washroom, that has a bath/shower.

Your family will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally located cottage. True Bliss Bon Voyage cottage is the coziest, modern log cabin that Tobermory has to offer. Centrally located, this cottage is a short walk from tons of amenities and a short drive from all the big attractions around Tobermory. The cottage offers an open concept design with a fully equipped kitchen and brand new furniture to sit back and unwind. From virtual reality gaming to a pool table, we have it all!

The space
This newly built cottage is fully equipped with everything you need to escape the city and enjoy some quite time up north. The first floor is an open concept area that includes a living area, kitchen, dining area, full bathroom and 2 bedrooms. The second floor opens up to a loft area that's open to below and the 3rd bedroom with ensuite bathroom.

Cottage can accommodate 8 guests, 6 adults and 2 children as per STA license, permit number NBP-2024-216. Please message for age requirements for children under the STA.

The first floor living space offers a comfortable sectional sofa, along with a 60 inch wall mounted TV. Connected to the TV is a virtual reality gaming system, PS5 gaming system and a surround sound home theater system. The beautifully decorated living area is the perfect spot gather and enjoy the various board games, novels and colouring books sure to keep kids of all ages entertained!

Adjacent to the living area you will find the Kitchen and dining areas. The dining area has a charming, solid wood dinner table with seating for 6. There are 2 additional chairs if required. The kitchen comes ready with anything and everything you made need to whip up any meal you desire. Included are plates, bowls, silverware, along with a full set of pots, pans, utensils and knives. For the guest convenience we have included a waffle maker, toaster, kettle, special edition Keurig coffee maker, Nespresso with free K-cup pods and espresso capsules for all the coffee lovers!
The kitchen island has 8 rotating stools where you can enjoy meals in comfort.

Down the hall a full bathroom is located with a bedroom on each side.
The first bedroom is fitted with a queen bed and second is fitted with 2 bunks the comfortably sleeps 4 people. The rooms are decorated in order for guests to feel cozy and right at home and include ceiling fans and touch sensitive lamps equipped with USB ports for guests to charge all their tech accessories. The laundry room is located down the hall and is equipped with laundry detergent and fabric softener.

Bathrooms are equipped with complimentary hand towels, touchless foam soap and toilet paper to maximize comfort for your stay. Bathrooms are shower/tub combinations, perfect for bathing little ones.

The stairs to the second floor open up to a loft area where you will find a beautiful pool table. Enjoy and socialize while you play a few rounds of billiards or even snooker. It comes with an assortment of pool cues and chalk along with a scoreboard to keep track of points. Accompanying the pool table is another comfortable sectional sofa where you can relax while you watch Television on a 55 inch TV or play music on the Samsung soundbar while you wait your turn on the pool table.

Adjacent to the loft area is the third bedroom fitted with 2 queens beds and ensuite bathroom. This room also includes a ceiling fan and touch sensitive lamps with USB ports to charge any tech accessories.

Outside enjoy a wholesome night around the firepit at the rear of the cottage making s'mores and sharing scary stories or enjoy some quiet time on the front deck relaxing in the seating area. Have a great afternoon around the patio table with burgers for lunch using the BBQ located in the shed.

Guest access
Guest have access to the entire cottage, included the shed. Restricted areas include the 2nd floor bedroom closet, the crawl space under the cottage and the septic bed to the right of the driveway (fenced off area) access to these areas is strictly prohibited. Tampering with any of these areas will result in a fine.

Other things to note
Linens - Bedsheets and bath towels are not provided, inquire at time of booking for availability for linen services. Please note that last minute requests may not be accepted due to the availability of our laundering service.

Please note that included in the cleaning and linen fees charged at time of booking are, blankets, pillows, hand towels for bathroom and tea towels in kitchen, along with toilet paper, paper towel and napkins.
