The property is spacious with a large kitchen, spacious living and dining rooms, and a covered outdoor living area. Note: 2 bedrooms are located in a bunk house separated from the house about 20ft from the front door. The Cariboo Region is one of BC's hidden gems. Just 5 hours from Vancouver and easy to access, 10 minutes off of HWY1. Peace, tranquillity, and a whole lot of fun!
Currently under renovations. New pictures will be loaded soon. Lay out and amenities have not changed.
- "Three generations came to spend the week at Green Lake where we had a cabin for many years. This property was perfect for our family with lots of space, great swimming, fully equipped kitchen, nice dock and space to play games. The location beside the park is awesome and the views were spectacular." - "Andrew and Lisa’s property did not disappoint! The property had all the amenities and more! Our family enjoyed pickleball, water sports, the dock. The bunkhouse is lovely and there was ample space for our group of 3 adults, 3 kids and our labradoodle! A ladder would have been nice for the bunkbeds, but it wasn’t a deal breaker as we didn’t need the top bunk. 🙂 The bunkhouse is super cute and a great addition to the main house; another bonus was having 2 useable decks! We had a nice relaxing week and will likely be back again next year!"

This little log cabin offers everything you need for a fun family get away! Master bedroom has a nice queen bed with charging ports at each night stand. The loft bedroom offers a queen bed and two roll away beds for kids or singles. The living room has a new Ikea sofa bed for extra sleep space. The big, bright kitchen offers all the amenities including a full sized fridge, stove, dishwasher, washer, and dryer. The three piece bathroom has a big soaker tub/shower combo, vanity and brand new toilet. This log cabin also has a screened in porch to enjoy the beautiful evenings! There's a hide a bed out there for anyone who likes fresh summer air. We are pet friendly - you'll find a few amenities for your furry friends including food & water bowls. Be sure to bring their favourite blanket for extra comfort. Outside there's a barbeque in the gazebo and plenty of seating around the firepit for roasting marshmallows. There's ample room to load/unload your quads and space to park them close by for the night. The area offers excellent quad trails for all levels, plenty of space for mountain bikes and hiking. The nearby lake is within walking distance and the creek is just a few steps up the road for the kids to catch minnows in - nets provided! While there are neighbors either side of you on this little dead end road, the large, heavily treed lots allow for a lot of privacy! Split rail fences between properties suit the area but won't keep dogs in or out.
- "This was a perfect spot to anchor our holiday travels. Log home was lovely. And wood floors, laundry, entry way, screened in porch, and good fridge and freezer space were perfect for our adult family of four and Labrador. As well as all of our SUP gear. Probably the best equipped rental (including safety supplies) we’ve been in - important given the distance to services." - "The cabin is spacious, clean, with great amenities. Secluded and relaxing. Nikki (the host) was very responsive and helpful. There is plenty to explore in the area (lakes, hiking). Our family really enjoyed our stay."

A perfect peaceful getaway anytime of the year!
- "Our group of 10 had an incredible stay at this property. We swam in the lake and kayaked and did a lot of star gazing. The rooms were so comfortable and everything was very clean. The place was even more beautiful than the photos conveyed." - "My teen son and his friend had a blast sledding down the hill toward the lake, and exploring all around with our dog. I took delight in my quiet days reading by the woodstove, listening to the silence (broken only by wind and the whoops of teens having fun), and watching the starry skys. Thank you for an excellent weekend!"

Our cabin, set on our Organic farm in rural British Columbia, enables guests to get lost in the peace and quiet of the country, recharge and disconnect, enjoy the beauty of untouched nature, experience all forms of wildlife and farm animals, have access to endless exploring of hundreds of lakes and forests (some recently charred by wildfire), and experience first hand the workings of a rural farm in Canada. CABIN:
The historic log cabin was built by a local pioneer in 1942. Since it’s completion almost 80 years ago, it has served many purposes, including a cabin for hired cowboys, and vacationing families. We now enjoy renting it out to vacationing or traveling guests.
LIVING SPACE:
The cabin has one 14'x18' open living space, which includes a full kitchen, fireplace, small table with chairs, 1 queen sized bed, and 1 double futon. The kitchen has a propane stove/oven, a mini fridge, coffee maker, and all the cookware and dishes that should be required for your stay.
The cabin has a nice shaded front porch, perfect for relaxing in the evenings or during the heat of the day.
BATHROOM:
The full bathroom includes a toilet, sink & counter, and a small shower, rod & hangers for clothes, and a few available drawers in the dresser.
* Please note - shower is small and sometimes takes time to figure out the right water temperature. Hot water tank is also small, but enough for 1 longer shower, or 2 quick showers at a time.
ACTIVITIES:
A very popular area for hunting, snowmobiling, atving, kayaking and outdoor enthusiasts. We are surrounded by thousands of acres of crown land - just a few minute drive to access. There is no shortage of outdoors to explore, and hundreds of lakes near by.
THE FARM:
Our ranch is family run and fully operating, with baby lambs in the spring, haying in the summer, as well as many chickens, dogs, horses, cows through out the year. We sell organic eggs, chicken, lamb & beef through out the year, which are available for purchase to any visitors.
The cabin is in a nicely treed quiet & private setting, away from most of the farm action. With a large field in view of the cabin you may see the tractor or atv driving around during haying season, or watch animals graze out in the fields.(don't worry, we wont make this noise as the sun comes up, and there is no rooster to wake you at 5am!)
For your safety, guests are not allowed in pens or fields with the animals, and are expected to respect all pets and farm animals. Please keep in mind that we have working dogs on our farm that are loose in the yard. If you have concerns with this please message us prior to booking.
OTHER CABIN DETAILS TO NOTE:
All linens are included (bedding and towels)
The woodstove is the only source of heat in the cabin, and firewood will be provided for this purpose (only). If guests are planning to have a late check-in time during the moderately-chilly months they are welcome to request us to start a fire before their arrival - advanced notice can ensure this (as we are not necessarily home a few hours prior to a guests arrival, if a late request is made). *Please keep this in mind if you are doing a same-day booking. During the indefinitely colder months we will be sure to start a fire and warm the cabin up for your arrival, however, after that it is guests responsibility to keep the fire going if needed. Of course, guests are welcome to request to have us stoke the fire during cold times if they plan to be out for extended periods of time, and we will gladly do so if we are available. *As we respect our guests privacy, we will not to do this unless requested.
Small campfires may be permitted, but on approval only. Provincial campfire bans are often in effect from early June until September. Campfire wood is not provided, and guests must bring their own. Guests must check with us before lighting any campfires.
WATER * When the temperature drops below freezing there will be no running water in the cabin. This typically begins around mid-October until the end of March, however varies from year to year. Please be aware of this before booking around October & March/April, keeping in mind that we can not predict the nighttime temperature in advance more specifically than this. During the times the water freezes we will provide the cabins with a bucket of water with a tap to use in the sink, as well as buckets of water they can use to still flush the toilet. Simply dump some water down the toilet bowl to flush. The shower will not be useable and guests will have to heat their own hot water on the stove.
PETS:
Pets are considered. A message, and approval, prior to booking is required. A $10/day pet fee does apply (not per pet), on arrival.
Because it is a working farm with many animals and livestock, we require all pets on leash when outside - for their own safety, and the safety of our livestock. We do ask for owners to pick up after their dogs - doggy bags are great if you have, or shoveling and throwing in to the bushes or animal pens will also suffice.
For everyone's comfort we make a point of limiting our dogs interaction with guests' pets at first, (we will keep our dogs inside and only by our side if you have a visiting pet) because we understand it is important for any pet introductions to be done with both owners present. Our large dogs can be a bit intimidating for visiting pets, so we understand to need to have "doggy" introductions done in a controlled manner and only when/if appropriate.
Guest access
Access to walk around property and interact with farm animals from outside of pens.
Access, directly from cabin, to endless acres of wilderness for hiking or cycling.
Guests have their own parking area in front of the cabin, and full private use of the cabin.
Guests are free to enjoy walking around the farm although, for your own safety, guests are not permitted to go through any closed gates without permission, (with the exception of driving through driveway gates to access in and out of the property), and never permitted to go in to pens with the animals. We encourage guests to enjoy the nature and wildlife surrounding the property, although respect for privacy around the yard surrounding our private small log home is always appreciated (located alongside the driveway and between the two cabins).

RENTING 2 CABINS?
2 cabins are available to rent on our farm.
As only one cabin is equipped with a shower, we realize groups who are renting both cabins may all want to take advantage of this amenity offered in the single cabin. As a result, there will be an extra $5 charge per person/day for rental of this cabin, in order to take advantage of the shower & hot water in the “Cowboy Cabin”. (Unless the total group size for both cabins is 4 people or less - in which case we will consider the 4 guests utilizing the shower as the 4 guests already included in the price of the Cowboy Cabin)
This may also be discussed with us upon booking, and exceptions can be made for those on very short stays and/or have no desire to make use of the shower or hot water in the Cowboy Cabin. If bookings are made before this price is adjusted for you then the extra fee may be paid after the original booking, or as cash on arrival.
The cabins are private from each other and at opposite ends of the yard from each other, with our house in between. For this reason, if one group is renting both cabins we ask that they congregate in front of either cabin, rather than meeting in the middle of the yard.
