The deal breaker tho was that there is no sound proofing with the attached rental unit - we could hear every word from the other guest so clearly that when I said to my partner that it was weird, the other guest responded that yes, it's weird. It's only in the bathroom area, but I hated that. It's one thing to hear noises of the presence of others, but that was too much. We just wanted a secluded weekend away, so that took away from it."

I have a propensity to host like you are my guests in my home. We try to provide everything for you to come stay as guests.

- "This little condo was perfect for our weeklong escape to Saugatuck. The condo was comfortable and well-appointed with everything we needed. The quality of the furnishings was great. Marta certainly does not cut corners. She left a nice welcome gift of a bottle of wine, cheese and snacks when we checked in, and a Keurig with some pods to start off with. She also had beach chairs, beach towels and a beach pass for guest use, another nice touch. We loved the location being in the heart of town and sitting on the cozy patio most evenings to people watch while looking over at the harbor. It was only a 2 block walk to get morning lattes and a block from the Butler restaurant. We enjoyed hearing the Butler’s live music on Thurs night, which ended around 10pm so it didn't affect our sleep. It was a bit smaller than we expected, but with the great location, comfy furnishings and responsive host, the slightly smaller space did not impact our enjoyment of the rental. Compared to any of our prior vacation rentals (or even hotel stays), this was the most problem-free experience we have had with accommodations. Thank you, Marta, for your care to give your guests a top-notch experience. We could not have been happier with the rental and hope to rent here again next summer if we return to Saugatuck."

Frank's Apartment is a cozy little getaway for 2-4 people conveniently situated "On the Hill" in Saugatuck. It is just steps from shopping, beaches, boat rides, fudge and ice cream shops, bars, nightlife and dancing, live theater, pickleball and tennis, art galleries, restaurants, fishing, kayaking, museums, nature hikes, antique shops and more.

Frank's Apartment has everything you need for your weekend or week getaway. It has one queen bedroom with a walk in closet. Also it has a good size living room with a fold out queen sofa bed. It has a full and spacious kitchen. And a full bathroom with step in shower. It also includes a full size washer and dryer. All linens are provided and you'd be hard pressed to find a kitchen implement that isn't there. There is also a little outdoor table and two chairs.

The apartment is conveniently all on one level. It does not have a ramp, but is handicap friendly with large doorways and a step in shower with grab bars.

-Contactless check in and check out. We unlock the unit for you earlier in the day and leave a key for you to use. Then you leave the key and the place unlocked, and if possible give us a call when you check out.

-If possible we wait several hours or a day to go over and clean after a group has left to let things settle.

-Then when we come to clean, we open all the windows and turn the fans on to air out the place.

-We wash the sheets and towels with hot water.

-Then we clean everything like usual.

-At the end we go around with the WHO recommended type of disinfecting bleach (not laundry bleach) mixed with the recommenced ratio of water and disinfect: counters, faucets and taps and shower controls, handles of appliances and doors and cabinets, light switches, AC control, lamps, remotes, soap dispensers, TV and DVD player and Roku box, info book, key, and where people frequently touch the windows and blinds.

Spacious open plan apartment is conveniently located a few minutes walk from the downtown activities in a quiet residential neighborhood, "On the Hill". The apartment is up a flight of stairs among the trees. Off street parking is provided. Many amenities provided including almost any kitchen item you could need, electric grill, washer and dryer, WIFI, Roku TV with lots of free shows and movies and live TV for news etc. (or bring your streaming log in and log into your own Netflix, Hulu etc.) DVD player and a selection of DVDs. Central air and ceiling fans make for a very comfortable hideaway in warm weather. The outdoor deck is nice for comfortable evenings enjoying the electric grill and patio furniture.

Climb the stairs to the outdoor deck and enter the open plan apartment through the sliding door. The kitchen and dining area are to the right and living room to the left as you enter. It is a very light and airy apartment with many windows throughout to enjoy the trees and surrounding gardens, but with appropriate curtains and blinds to provide privacy as well.

This is a no smoking and no pets apartment.

We are quite booked up, but here is when the apartment is still available so you don't have to keep plugging in dates: August 4-6, 25-27, 29-September 3rd, September 6-11, 20-the end of the year.

We are following the guidelines of the CDC and WHO in our health and safety practices ...

-Contactless check in and check out. We unlock the unit for you earlier in the day and leave a key for you to use. Then you leave the key and the place unlocked, and if possible give us a call when you check out.

-If possible we wait several hours or a day to go over and clean after a group has left to let things settle.

-Then when we come to clean, we open all the windows and turn the fans on to air out the place.

-We wash the sheets and towels with hot water.

-Then we clean everything like usual.

-At the end we go around with the WHO recommended type of disinfecting bleach (not laundry bleach) mixed with the recommenced ratio of water and disinfect: counters, faucets and taps and shower controls, handles of appliances and doors and cabinets, light switches, AC control, lamps, remotes, soap dispensers, TV and DVD player and Roku box, info book, key, and where people frequently touch the windows and blinds.

We arrived after a 8 hour drive and were surprised to find a bottle of Champagne and the most lovely cheese, fruit and cracker board in the refrigerator. We had everything we needed for a quiet and relaxing respite. Very clean and well appointed, however wish it had had a hair dryer and would be great to have a few more counter appliances - blender, etc. Multiple showers in a row produced chilly water, but not the end of the world once we figured it out! The deck was fantastic. The table and chairs on the roof deck were so great. Would have been nice to have some more outdoor furniture. as well as a grill. We understood that that a grill might have been a safety concern. I can’t say enough about the location - literally a 2 second walk to Butler St, the main drag. Great that there is a parking spot since it can be a challenge to find street parking. Loads of areas to take our dog to within a one minute walk. We wouldn’t hesitate to return!All in all, big five stars! "

Since my purchase of the property in 2017 I have done extensive renovations to the building and improvements to the grounds.
This unit is furnished with a queen size bed, night stands, full size couch, arm chair, dresser, full size refrigerator, apartment size stove, bistro table and chairs, coffee, maker, toaster, and kitchen ware.

You’ll enter through a private entrance, up the stairs and into the apartment. Immediately you’ll be welcomed with vaulted ceilings and notice the nice finishes throughout. This apartment is furnished with 1 king bed plus a queen pull out memory foam mattress within the couch.

Kitchen
We understand that if your staying for a while you will not be able to get by with just a mini fridge and a microwave. This kitchen is stocked with everything your going to need; refrigerator, oven, stove, microwave, dishwasher, along with all of the bowls, plates, utensils and cookware to make up a complete kitchen.

Living Room
The living room is furnished with a comfy couch and reclining chair, it’s the perfect landing spot to kick back and take in some of your favorite shows on the 55-inch flat screen TV. Netflix is provided, any other streaming apps are Bring Your Own Subscription (BYOS).

Guest access
You will have access to the entire upper floor of the home along with the grill and backyard space to the back of the house.

This apartment is located on the upper floor of a multi-unit home and is completely separate from the ground floor below. The ground floor is used for short term rentals, so there may be other guests sharing the driveway and outdoor space at times.

As mentioned, the apartment is on the upper floor, so there are stairs that you will have to go up and down throughout your stay.

Parking is provided in the driveway for one vehicle, any guest vehicles will have to park on the road.

Please note that there are stairs going down 10 steps to the Lower level entrance. The space includes 1 bedroom, bathroom ( shower only, no tub), living room, sitting room ( play room) and kitchen. Holland hosts The Tulip Time Festival in May every year. Holland is also home to the Windmill Island Gardens. A seasonal park featuring tulip gardens, and a 250-year-old windmill, a carousel & Dutch costume guides. The only working windmill in the US. On Wednesday and Saturdays there's a farmers market from 8 AM to 3 PM spring and summer months downtown. In the winter time you can enjoy Dutch holiday celebrations including an open air European Christmas market, festive decorations, home tours and a parade of lights. Sinterklaas comes to town!

Guests have access to the fully enclosed upper unit apartment, plus the shared porch and shared backyard. Both the upstairs and downstairs units have separate, lockable doors at the entrance to each apartment.

You have the entire upstairs apartment to yourself. The downstairs apartment is occupied by a long-term renter.

An electronic keypad on the door at the top of the stairs allows secure access to the apartment.

Other things to note
PLEASE BE AWARE: this is a 125-year-old two-unit home and the stairs to the upper unit are steep and narrow. Please use the handrail.

The lower unit is occupied by long-term renters.

Parking for two small cars is available in the driveway, but must not block access to the right side of the driveway/garage. Street parking is legally available mid-May through mid-October. (The City of Holland will ticket cars parked in the street overnight from mid-October through mid-May.)

Once you enter this cozy home you will enjoy peaceful privacy on the upper level of this brick, 2-story home. Spacious bedroom with hardwood floors and king bed offers a sunny view of the quaint Westcore neighborhood. A separate family room provides a space for reading, reflection, and conversation and is also equipped with a small kitchenette for late-night snacks and morning coffee. Though there is not a full kitchen, there are many amenities that will make your stay pleasurable. The common room is equipped with a mini fridge, microwave, Keurig, and a toaster oven. A full bath completes this floor. The outdoor patio is available as shared communal space on the lower level.

Plan your day exploring the unique opportunities Jeannette was so passionate about. Take a walk to Hope College, Kollen Park, the Civic Center bountiful Farmer's Market, and enjoy endless window shopping along the heated sidewalks found in the heart of the city. - Cancel 30 days or more in advance, and receive a full refund.
- Cancel 14 days in advance, and receive a 50% refund.
- No refunds for cancellations less than 14 days in advance of reservation start date.

There are no refunds for early departures, reduction of nights rented, or delayed arrivals due to inclement weather or any other factor. Please consider trip insurance to protect your investment.

Anchors Away: Nautical downtown Saugatuck abode with balcony and partial river views

This adorable suite is the ideal place to spend a few days away from reality.

The open living, kitchen, and dining areas are perfect for relaxing with a movie or enjoying a meal at home. Head out onto the front deck where you can take in partial views of the endless parade of boats on the river, people watch, and sip your morning coffee. The below patio has additional outdoor furniture, a gas BBQ grill, and a fire pit shared with the neighboring rental properties. 

Get a good night's rest in the queen bedroom. The attached full bathroom has a shower/tub combo and workable space for your morning routine.

You will want to head to town to take part in all downtown has to offer. Only 1.5 blocks away are the closest shops and restaurants. The other end of town is only a 1/2 mile away so everything is very close and easily accessible. We have an assortment of fine and casual dining establishments, ice cream shops, boutiques, art galleries, and even a Broadway-quality theater. 

If you're looking for a day in the sand, Lake Michigan is accessible by Douglas Beach, Oval Beach, or Saugatuck Dunes State Park within a 5-10 minute drive, or take a ride on our local Interurban for only $1.

This is a great place to call home for your getaway to the beautiful Saugatuck/Douglas area!

Please Note:

This suite is one of three total units in the same building. Shared spaces and amenities between the neighboring units are the BBQ grill, the fire pit, and the furniture around the fire pit. The balcony is shared with the other upstairs unit, but each unit has its own set of patio furniture for guest use. Please be respectful of other guests staying in the neighboring units by adhering to the quiet hours from 10pm to 8am.
This is an upstairs apartment and a flight of stairs is required for access.
The only access to the bathroom is through the bedroom.
There is no central AC. There is a window AC unit in the living room during summer months and a box fan in the bedroom. If you keep the blinds closed and the bedroom door open, the whole apartment will be cool.
The building heat is kept at 68 degrees in the winter months. If you need additional heat, or heat during the summer, there is a baseboard electric heater in the bedroom.
This apartment is small. The refrigerator and range are apartment-sized. This is a wonderful location to enjoy all town has to offer.

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire apartment and property. The patio with fire pit and grill are shared with 2 other apartments.
