- "We can't give this place or the hosts enough stars! I wish there were an option for a 10 star review and even that seems to minimal. The listing and photos are exact. Zach and Jackie send you videos of the whole check in process on top of the email with instructions. By far the easiest check in and check out due to their thoroughness. We are a family that likes to cook. The kitchen had everything we needed plus more. There were even glass storage containers for leftovers. The arcade games are a huge plus!! The beds were very comfortable and the rooms very spacious. There were so many little touches that some may feel aren't much, but are when you realize you need them. For example: when there are no hangers in the closets. This unit has huge closets and lots of hangers so we did not have to go buy any or live out of our luggage. They provided shampoo, conditioner, and body wash for those families that may forget to pack those items. We love that there was a washer and dryer for clothes and of course they provided laundry pods and dryer sheets. Again, the little things that truly add up and are a step above! The location is walking distance to all of the bars, restaurants, shops, and the downtown "mall". We could write a book of how wonderful our stay was. Even though we would like to keep this little gem a secret so it is always available for when we need it, we urge everyone to experience it for themselves. The millpond was charming, and often had geese and ducks on it. The unit was very quiet, and we heard no one next door or above us. I agree with the previous review regarding the overwhelming smell of marijuana in the stairwell. Since cannabis use is legal in MI however, I'm not sure what the unit owners can be expected to do about it unless there is a no smoking policy within the building. The smell does not creep into the unit unless you leave the door open, which we avoided. The absence of kitchen linens is interesting because it simply forced us to use more paper towels, which I would think the owners would try to avoid. But these were small things, and did not detract from our overall good experience. We would stay there again without hesitation!"

This cozy but spacious apartment is the upstairs unit of a renovated barn built in the early 1900s. Recently refurbished, it retains charming features of the original barn. There is a newly redone bathroom, large couch, full kitchen, and TV.
This apartment is located in the ground floor of a renovated barn, originally built in 1900. The bathroom was renovated in 2023, to make a beautiful modern space with shower and tub, and new flooring was installed in the main living space this past year as well.

The open kitchen boasts a 4-burner electric stove and oven, microwave, full sized fridge, coffee maker, and all the basic cooking implements necessary.

The bedroom has a king-size bed, a large dresser, and a large closet.

If there are more than 2 guests and one would like to sleep on the couch, bedding will be provided.

The sauna is custom-built, cedar-lined, wood-fired, and only 4 years old. It is located right outside the front door on the patio. Wood and fire-starting supplies are provided, and you will have unlimited use during your stay.

All living spaces, sauna, and deck are private. In the shared backyard there is a garden, chicken coop with roosters, and a nice lawn area.
Other things to note:
If you want to sauna we will give you a walkthrough of the rules and how to use it, and we will get it started the first couple of times to make sure that you know how to use it.

Please note that the sauna takes about 90 min to reach temp, and while we are happy to have it ready for you on arrival if our schedule permits (it usually does), we do require advance notice.

The house is always extremely clean and well maintained upon our arrival. If any problems arise, the property manager is on site and does an excellent job of addressing any/all concerns. The fantastic view from the lanai starts daily with a full view of the rising sun and continues all day with a fabulous wildlife display from the pond behind the house, to a view of the golf course, then on to the larger Lake Ashton. We so much enjoy the friendliness of the community members and are always welcomed into any and all activities. There are activities available for all interests and ability levels, such as dancing, cards, tennis, pickleball, exercise, golf, bingo, bocce ball, and a large assortment of professional entertainment offered. LEGOLAND, Wal Mart, many excellent restaurants, and a large shopping mall, among many other stores, are within a 10 minute radius. We enjoy the ability to shop and not have to fight traffic. We know some people have rented this property during summer months while looking to buy a house in the area, while their house was being built or work was being done on their own home, or visiting friends who are owners. Owners live nearby and are available by text or by phone but will leave you to your privacy. We are in and out of the building on a daily basis doing turnovers and updating the property, but will stay out of your way and will be as unobtursive as possible. Please be aware: this is a finished basement apartment and we live upstairs. We have a dog and a little boy who like to run around and make noise. It is an older home with original wood flooring and not soundproof. You will hear floor creaks and sounds while we are home. This stay is not ideal if you're sensitive to noise.

There is no full kitchen, only a kitchenette. It includes: sink, mini refrigerator, microwave and a toaster oven.

This space is not ideal for long stays, nor is it ADA sufficient. Ceiling height in basement is 7 feet.

This is a fully underground basement apartment. The bedrooms are the only two rooms that have windows to the outside.

Temperature: each room has its own heater/air conditioner/fan.

You will have access to the back staircase and back door, for easy access to the parking. The back stairs are somewhat narrow and steep and are shared by all three units. Please be considerate of other guests.

Heating/Cooling:
This house does not have central air conditioning. Each unit has it's own individual cooling system including fans, and mini-splits, and window AC units. Please feel free to open windows if you are not using the air conditioning. We ask that you monitor the weather and close the windows accordingly.

In the winter, this house is run off a single pipe steam boiler. Some units may run on the warmer side. Feel free to open a windows to adjust the temperature to your liking. However, please DO NOT attempt to adjust the heat, using the valves or vents on the registers themselves. This will have an adverse effect on the entire system. If you are cold, there are individual space heaters located in the closets of each unit.

Kitchen essentials:
Due to space, we have only essential items available in the kitchen, including pots, pans and a place setting for 2. If you needs something specific, please feel free to ask. We have items on reserve.

Bathroom essentials:
Please use the black wash clothes or provided makeup remover pads. Please do not use the white towels for cleaning up spills, makeup, blood, or mud. There is a set of non-white towels in the bathroom wall cabinet.
We have rags in the kitchen utility closet.
Also, there is drawer in the bathroom vanity that has useful items like a hair dryer and first aid kit.

-The kitchen is equipped with all of your cooking essentials. It features a 4-burner electric stove/oven and a large refrigerator with water dispenser. It is also equipped with essential counter appliances such as a coffee maker (complete with creamer, sugar and coffee), microwave, and toaster. However, we doubt you'll spend much time cooking in the kitchen after you've tried some of Kalamazoo's finest cuisine from local restaurants in the area.

-The bathroom provides a large tub/shower, so you can bathe or shower after a long day exploring the city. We've also provided all of the necessary amenities: shampoo, body wash, hand soap and towels. So leave those 3.4 Ozs containers at home, because you're not going to get stopped by TSA this time.

While you may be in downtown, it's not downtown parking. Ample parking is available for free in the building's parking lot.

Whether you are only in town for a few nights or longer, this place is perfect for those who want to experience a stylish apartment while enjoying Kalamazoo.

This humble apartment is located in the heart of Downtown Allegan, with a wonderful view of the Kalamazoo River. The apartment is located on the 2nd floor, accessed via stairs. This apartment can be reconfigured to fit your needs, as a swinging door separates the two sleeping areas. There are three Twin XL beds, two of which can be connected into one for a King Size.

This spacious 4 bedroom unit is fun for the whole family. Come and enjoy our salt water pool and other outdoor amenities before winding down for the evening in the arcade. This location includes 4 bedrooms, full functioning kitchen, indoor fireplace, 5 televisions, so there is room and activities for the whole family. This location is a 7-10 minute car ride from downtown and located a short distance from all of your shopping needs. No receiving of mail or packages. There are also 2 air sharks.

The space
The space is furnished with modern decor,3 of the bedrooms sleep queen size Nectar mattresses and the 4th bedroom sleeps a very comfortable King sized bed. There are 5 smart TVs throughout the space to cater to all of your streaming desire’s. After a long day you can always relax with the whole family in front of the fireplace and be lulled by the sounds of the indoor fountains. The amenities shown in the photos will be up and running after the 1st week of June. Our quiet hours are in between 10 pm to 9 am and only guests included in the reservation may be on the property during these hours. No exceptions. DUE TO MICHIGAN WEATHER THE POOL AND OUTDOOR AMENITIES WILL CLOSE SEPTEMBER 1st after Labor Day And not reopen until the end of May. . Also please make sure that parking is limited to the driveway only . There is absolutely NO parking in the grass allowed. There are also 2 air purifiers that are in the property , they service 1000 ft a piece and one is located on the main level and the second is upstairs. We have 2 out door cameras. A ring camera at the front door and another one on the side of the home. There are absolutely no indoor cameras

Our check in window is 5:30-8:30 pm.Quiet hours are in between 10pm and 9am all additional guests not included on the reservation must leave at this time. Also we do not charge a cleaning fee at the time of booking, however if the basic tidying up of trash and dishes are left behind we will request the cleaning fee of 100$ will be requested through. Welcome to my favorite cozy space! This charming little apartment is perfectly suited for couples or single travelers. Located in a historic home, this second level apartment is just 2 miles (and less) from Bronson hospital, WMU Med school, Kalamazoo Mall and restaurants such as Bells Brewery. Also included is a warm and well stocked kitchen, 1 small but well stocked bathroom and a decadent bedroom with a queen bed. A roll-out twin bed is available to sets up in the living room.

Parking is located in the parking lot and garage behind the house. Please be careful not to take up more than one parking space (there are 5 in total) or block in other vehicles. If guests have more than one vehicle, please park behind one another, especially if parked in the garage.

The main entrance is located inside of the patio area on the east side of house.

If you incorrectly input the code, press the reset button to try again. The reset button also lights up the keypad. Since the doors will re-lock, automatically, be sure to have the code with you when exiting the building to avoid getting locked out.

Welcome to the Stuart Neighborhood! Suite 9 is located on the 3rd floor of our rental home and is very welcoming. It has a large bathroom with a walk in shower. The bedroom is very spacious and continues with a Rock theme throughout. The kitchen is huge with plenty of counter space. Updated 2 bedroom apartment in a 100 year old, Craftsman style home, located in the heart of revitalized downtown Kalamazoo. This place is well suited for longer stays. It's close to everything. Enjoy the convenience of home, in the city. Located on the first residential block south of downtown it's an easy walk to Bronson Park, the State Theatre, Chenery, Kalamazoo Mall, and the Radisson hotel. Short drive or walk to WMU or K-College campuses, as well as, Bronson hospital.

The space
There are three separate units in this house; two on the second floor and one on the first. This unit is on the second floor, where you will have your own 2 bedroom apartment with a full bath, living room, dining space, and full kitchen. The first room has a queen bed. The second room has a single bed with a desk which makes a lovely office or study. There is no closet for clothes storage in the bonus room, however there is a closet just outside the room. Shared laundry in the basement. Access to a shared sun porch. On-site, unit specific parking.

In addition to your own apartment in this home, you will have access to a shared three season porch on the second floor. This is a lovely place to have a cup of coffee in the morning or to just sit and enjoy the morning sunshine.

You will have access to the back staircase and back door, for easy access to the parking. The back stairs are somewhat narrow and steep and are shared by all three units. Please be considerate of other guests.

Other things to note
Heating/Cooling:
This house does not have central air conditioning. Each unit has it's own individual cooling system including fans, and mini-splits, and window AC units. Please feel free to open windows if you are not using the air conditioning. We ask that you monitor the weather and close the windows accordingly.

In the winter, this house is run off a single pipe steam boiler. Some units may run on the warmer side. Feel free to open a windows to adjust the temperature to your liking. However, please DO NOT attempt to adjust the heat, using the valves or vents on the registers themselves. This will have an adverse effect on the entire system. If you are cold, there are individual space heaters located in the closets of each unit. If that is not enough, you can use the mini-split in the dining area to warm the unit.

Bathroom essentials:
Please use the black wash clothes or provided makeup remover pads. Please do not use the white towels for cleaning up spills, makeup, blood or mud. There is a set of non-white towels in the dining room closet. We have rags in the kitchen utility closet.

Kitchen essentials:
We encourage you to open the cabinets. There are a number of useful items - toaster, blender. We offer several different options for coffee making including a Keurig, French press and Mr. Coffee 12 cup drip.

Dining room / bonus room closets:
The iron, ironing board, hair dryer, and first aid kit is all located in the dining room closet. The closet outside the bonus room contains a fan, and space heater.
