Beautifully designed space. Very relaxing layout with all the amenities of home. Minutes from Oak Park Arts district. A quick 3 minute walk to public transportation or a major highway to access downtown Chicago or all that Oak Park has to offer. We are a couple of blocks away from 2 parks. There is a public golf course 5 minutes from the unit. We are close to many restaurants and North Riverside shopping mall is only 10 minutes away! This welcoming studio was completely rehabbed and updated. We put a lot of care into designing a relaxing apartment with all the amenities. The main room features a king-sized bed, office nook, and fully stocked entertainment area, with games, books, and a TV. The spacious kitchen and luxurious bathroom are brand new!

The space
Staying for work? We have black out curtains, a memory foam mattress, and high quality linens so you'll get a great night's sleep. WiFi and an office nook make it very workable.
The main room also includes a day bed which is easily converted to a comfortable twin for extra sleeping space. Closets for clothes are abundant.
The kitchen is large and sunlit, and we've stocked it with most of the pots, pans, and utensils you'll need.
The bathroom is completely new and updated, and features a gorgeous walk-in shower.
Our house sits on a beautiful block, between old Victorian homes. You can walk to amazing coffee shops, cute stores, and some of the best restaurants and breweries in the area. The major tourist highlights of Oak Park, like the Hemingway Home, the FL Wright Studio, and Unity Temple are all a few minutes away by foot.

Such buildings have hallways that are open to the outside (rather than enclosed hallways).

THE APARTMENTS: All the apartments have been recently updated and renovated including updated kitchens, bathrooms, windows, doors and flooring. In general, the apartments look and feel fresh and updated. Most of the apartments have a dishwasher. Our 1-bedroom apartments have a Queen size bed in the primary bedroom. The apartment is located on the second floor of a mixed use building (The Hearing Place, an audiology practice is located on the first floor). There is one flight of stairs you will need to climb to get to the second floor.

We do not offer cable TV, but do have an antenna and DVD player. The DVD player connects to the internet so you can stream. You can also hook your computer to the HDMI cable as well.

There is a centralized HVAC unit that controls to temperature for the whole floor. The landlord keeps it set at 70F throughout the year to keep it cool in summer in warm in winter. I do have several fans available for use in addition to a white noise generator.

There are some board games available in the apartment that you are welcome to help yourself to.
