- "Classy!" - "Full kitchen!!!" - "The GEM Museum Suites is perfectly located for our visit with our son. Though not in downtown shopping area of Evanston it is not far. Parking, on the side of building, was very convenient but comes with a cost of $20 p/d. The decor is very impressive and recently renovated. It is not a huge hotel, which makes it feel "homey." During our 6 days stay we met only one other group of 3 guest and they were checking out. (We were told the next week would be very busy.) The suite is equipped with all we needed: kitchenette, fridge, dishwasher, etc., all very condensed. The separate bedroom with two queen size beds is separate from the sitting area/kitchenette area, just down a short hall, just inside the entry door. The ONLY negatives are the new flooring is laminate "snaps, crackles and pops" in certain areas because of poor adhesion and the instructions for using the TV streaming (there are 2 TVs) in the suite and the coffee to water ratio for the Mr. Coffee maker are very lacking."

Please respect our home and neighbors. Violations of ANY of the following

rules may result in fines and/or termination of your reservation without a

refund.

1. No parties or unapproved guests - Only registered guests may access the property. Parties, gatherings, and group events are strictly prohibited.

2. No additional visitors - Only those listed on the reservation may enter the property. Any additional visitors must be declared and pre-approved.

3. Respect quiet hours - Keep noise levels down, especially between 10:00 PM - 8:00 AM. Failure to respect quiet hours or disturbances from an unauthorized gathering will result in termination of the reservation without refund and may result in additional fines to pay city tickets or HOA fines for violations.

4. Check-out on time - Please vacate the unit and return any issued keys by the agreed check-out time. Late check-outs will incur a $250 fee.

5. No smoking - Smoking of any kind is prohibited inside the unit and on the building premises. Evidence of smoking, including odor, will result in a $500 remediation charge. Local laws also prohibit smoking within 15 feet of any entrance.

6. Lockouts & lost keys - A $150 lockout fee applies per occurrence. Lost keys or remotes will incur a $50 replacement fee each.

7. Lost & found - We are not responsible for lost items. If something is left behind, we will attempt to locate it and ship it at your expense. Please check all drawers and closets before departure.

* Guest verification - To comply with legal and security requirements, you may need to sign a rental agreement, provide a government-issued photo ID, confirm your contact details, and submit a selfie matching your ID.

* Guest screening - Guests must have a positive track record on the booking platform and provide details about their stay and the guests traveling with them.

* AutoHost verification - We conduct additional screening after booking and reserve the right to decline reservations that do not pass verification.

- "Great host, acommadations" - "My daughter and her partner got married over labor day and we needed a place to sleep my husband, daughter and son in law during night-before and day-of activities. The kitchen is well stocked and clean, living room roomy and couches super comfy and bathroom totally fine (with plenty of towels). I gave them an excellent rating -- they were very, very welcoming and accommodating. We were up early and out late, and I worried a little about being upstairs and making noise above possibly-sleeping heads :) The beautiful wood floors are a bit creaky (to be expected)... and the stairs up are pretty steep. Probably NOT great for grandma and grandpa with mobility issues but otherwise, it was great. Parking is a little tight on the street, but we never had a problem finding a space within a few feet. Thanks for the great weekend!"

The Space:
You’ll have the whole 2-bedroom unit all to yourself! There’s a cozy living room where you can chill, watch TV, or just relax. The kitchen’s fully equipped, so you can cook if you feel like it. Both bedrooms have comfy beds and fresh linens. There’s also a clean bathroom with hot shower, fresh towels, and basic toiletries. Plus, a small dining area for meals or coffee time. It’s a calm, comfy space made for easy stays.

The space
Make breakfast, lunch and dinner in our very roomy updated cooks kitchen. Granite countertops, stainless steel appliances including dishwasher, toaster, air fryer, blender, hot air popcorn maker. Plenty of cabinets fully stocked with pots and pans, bakeware, dishes, silverware and cooking essentials. In the TV room you will find a brand new Smart TV & lots of games. Two bedrooms on the first floor are nicely sized with large dressers, nightstands and closets. The two bedrooms on the second floor are much smaller, but super cozy. Both have desks and beds with brand new mattresses.
