We have enjoyed walking to restaurants, shops, parks and many other wonderful amenities nearby. Everything inside the apartment is brand new (furniture, kitchen items, bedding and mattresses, washer and dryer, etc.). What’s not new is the house. It’s a historical home (and feels like it), so don’t expect level floors and perfect walls. Those imperfections are part of the charm of living in this adorable neighborhood. The front porch is one of my favorite parts of the house, as well as the spacious parking area. The apartment has everything included for your stay — toiletries, cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, fully stocked kitchen, new towels — which were very helpful to us. The furniture in my opinion needs to be updated and replaced. The pool that the property offered in the listing was actually open this weekend, the water was warm, and our kids enjoyed several hours of swimming each day. As one who enjoys exercising and weight lifting, the weight room facilities were beyond acceptable for hotel accommodations and I was only sad that I didn't have the opportunity to use it. The location was beyond exceptional, offering groceries and restaurants within minutes, and quick access to the highways that took us directly downtown and to the museums and zoo that we wanted to see. This amazing apartment is in a quaint neighborhood in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids. My neighbors are quiet and friendly working professionals. The apartment is in a residential area, just blocks from all the exciting treasures that downtown Grand Rapids has to offer... museums, festivals, fireworks, sporting events (and its Beer City designation) have brought in visitors from around the world.
