Off the hallway is a laundry room that is NOT part of the VRBO, but you may use the washing machine , dryer and fridge that is in this room but because it is a "laundry/storage room, I am unable to keep this room to the same standards as your apartment, thus it is not part of the VRBO. CLEANING. I clean the apt. (except when i am traveling and a cleaning company comes.)I also DO NOT expect you to clean before you leave, this is your vacation. My cleaning practices have always included attention to door knobs, light switches, handles and high touch areas. All bed linens are changed between guests including the mattress pad, coverlet, and washed on the hottest cycle, as are the towels. Shower curtain and liner , floor mat and bath slip mat are also changed between every guest. I always open all windows and sometimes leave them open letting guests close them. I leave out diluted bleach, hand wipes, alcohol pads, disposable cloths for you to do any extra cleaning you may wish, and hand sanitizer by the entrance. I do NOT pass on the cleaning or Tax fees to you. (as someone who often stays at VRBO properties I do not like it when I see a rate for $100.00 but turns out to be $190.00 with fees.) The service fee is the fee for VRBO who do an excellent job. and offer alternate accommodation if you are not satisfied or there is a last minute problem. I am often away but readily contactable for any needs. We welcome you to our home but do not greet you, the key is kept in a lock Box, and let you settle in as you please. If you prefer to be greeted please let me know ahead of time.PLEASE NOTE
-You can sometimes hear the owners upstairs walking around their home. Occasionally you may hear TV or music.Heating and AC CANNOT be controlled in the apartment. It is kept at 70 and in addition there is a heater in each room should they be needed. The wood stove is not used. Some of the patio, not the apartment, can be seen from the owners property. See photos. The apt. and patio is for your private use, this is not shared space, the owners share the parking area. The apartment is how VRBO use to be 10 years ago, as in, a family lives upstairs and you can sometimes hear them, you may cross paths in the parking area, and there are signs of family all around, ect, its not a purpose bought house to just rent with no sign of anyone living in it. Lets not forget that the Vrbo platform was initally about sharing your home with others at resonable prices, not about renting empty investment homes for top dollar. Private, lower-level apartment in charming 1920's home in Geddes Heights. 3-minute-walk to Arboretum. Less than a mile from U-M Hospital and Central Campus. About 1.5 miles to downtown and to U-M Stadium. 2 bedrooms with brand-new private bathroom.

Guests have their own separate entrance from patio into spacious, primary bedroom with comfy queen bed; love seat; built-in corner cabinets for clothes; a reading chair; and peaceful view of a lush back yard.

This primary bedroom is attached to a lovely, light-filled, secondary room with similar views. This secondary room features a twin bed; small closet; built-in drawers and cabinets; a chair and lamp for reading.

QUIET HOURS:
Quiet hours are from 10pm to 6am. Guests are responsible for the conduct of all persons in their unit.

SMOKING:
Smoking of any kind is not allowed in the unit. There will be a minimum $250 penalty fee if it is determined that there was smoking in your apartment during your reservation period.

MINIMUM AGE:
Guests named on the reservation must be 21 years or older. By booking a reservation, you represent and warrant that you are 21 or older and have the legal capacity and authority to enter into a contract. The name on the reservation must be present at check-in and throughout the duration of the stay.

Private room in a shared apartment. You LL have easy access to the University of Michigan (2 min walk to Ross business school), Kerry town (25 min walk) and Downtown Ann Arbor (15 min walk to downtown Ann Arbor).

We are walking distance to the University of Michigan Medical Center and Hill Dorms. We are also on AATA bus route 64 which takes you to the main U of M bus stop and to the stadium.

Historic home in Midtown Ypsilanti built in 1869. Located a short 3-minute walk from the Ypsi bus depot, downtown Ypsi, EMU campus and restaurants! A very easy and convenient location!! Perfect if you’re visiting someone at the university or in town to catch a college game at UM! Free off-street private parking located at the rear of the property through the back alley.

You'll have the whole apartment to yourself! King size Sterns & Foster bed, 40" Smart TV, and optional pull-out full-size bed.

The space
Our home, like many in Midtown, was converted from a large single-family home into a 4-plex many years ago due to its proximity to Eastern Michigan University. There are two apartments on the top floor which are Airbnb rentals. Both use the front door & stairs for initial entry but have their own private entry with touchscreen door lock. You will have your own bathroom, kitchen, bedroom, TV room. There is no laundry on-site. If you need recommendations for where to wash clothes during longer stays, we're happy to point you in the right direction. The apartment is on the second floor and will require climbing a narrow set of stairs. The house is over 150 years old and has some charm as it has maintained some elements of the original build over the last century and a half including some framing, windows, and doors. We hope you'll appreciate what we've done with the place, and we're always looking to improve!

You will have complete private access to your apartment via the front door, foyer upstairs.

Other things to note
Your apartment is private with seamless access via a lock box at the front door and a smart touchscreen lock on the apartment door. The stairs & foyer outside your apartment are shared with the apartment across the hall, so it's possible you may meet other guests coming or going on your way up or down the stairs.

There is a giant world map in the foyer before the stairs and we encourage you to place one of the small stickers provided on the map so we can keep track of all the guests who stay here!

If you need to drop off your belongings early or leave them after you've checked out for later in the day there is space in the upstairs or downstairs foyer.
