- "There was nothing wrong with the apartment itself. It was clean and well appointed as advertised. However the entrance to the foyer had no door knob. Anyone could have come in and stay in the common area. We just did not feel safe in it and decided not to stay. Also there was some trash outside the building such as old mattresses and furniture. ." - "The home was in an area that wasn’t fir anyone!! There was debris around the building—like a wasteland. The inside was only 400 sq ft. Board fell on my foot down the hallway. The owner lied, as they told us it was a “luxury” Condo. It was a scary building."

- "The primary problem was being walked in on by a man who was working for the owner. The owner was on the phone and together they claimed the place was not rented to us and should have been empty. I received all communications and the entry codes and instructions from a third person, whom the owner then recognized as his employee. The problem was cleared up, and we stayed, but being walked in on at night was scary and dangerous. The place was nice and fit our needs; however, it was not as clean as I would expect. Overall, I would say that I would not rent from this owner again. "

- "The location was absolutely perfect for visiting downtown Royal Oak//Detroit Zoo. Love the location!!! We stayed in the bottom unit and had some troubles checking in, little frustrating.... We also were not able to use the TV in the living room as it wouldn't connect to any platforms. Someone was staying above us for the weekend and the sounds are definitely there to say the least. Understandably its a old property, but as a light sleeper it wasn't ideal having someone walking above you and hearing every crack. It wasn't the most cleanly. Sheets had stains and fans were dust filled. Dishes were a little stained up. With all that being said we would come back bc the location is amazing and would outweigh all the negatives."

Home is situated on a busy-ish road so traffic noise is common during the day, but quiets at night. The property can be entered/exited via the main road or the alley behind the home. There is on-site parking in the backyard. There is another AirBNB unit on the lower level which will share the yard and parking areas with you, the indoor living space is exclusively yours. PLEASE NOTE: you will likely hear other guests staying in the lower units. Please ask us if you have any special needs or requests, we will do our best to accommodate.

This property and neighborhood is animal friendly, however the yard is not enclosed. All animals require in-person supervision at all times. In order to keep our property animal friendly, animals require in-person supervision at all times. ANIMALS MAY NOT BE LEFT ALONE IN THE HOME. The space
Finished lower level three bedroom suite in the 2022 new construction 5 suite complex. Full private bathroom, kitchen, living/dining rooms, laundry in unit.

Notice - there is another Airbnb suite above this and noise can transfer down, especially on weekends when there is usually a lot of activity. The building does have quiet hours after 10pm so message me before it gets too late if these are being violated. There is also a neighborhood noise ordinance so the non-emergency Royal Oak police can help if it's 3am and the other guests are causing a ruckus, this is an option, and it usually works better if the rule breakers are caught in the act. But, if you are sensitive to noise this may not be the space for you!
