The building was originally Manistee National Bank. The recently renovated apartment is where the Bank offices were originally located. It sits on the Manistee River Walk. The building is centrally located in the downtown Historic District, steps away from local shopping, dining, and entertainment. The deck provides beautiful views of the river where you will see sailboats and charter fishing boats pass by. You may even see a Great Lakes Freighter navigate the river channel. The River Walk makes for a nice stroll down to Lake Michigan.
The renovated apartment is 1500 sq ft, has original hardwood floors and exposed brick walls, 11' ceilings, tons of natural lighting, and a beautiful back deck that overlooks the Manistee River. There are stairs leading up to the apartment from the street (pictured). The rear access is via a spiral staircase (pictured) on the patio that leads down to the lower levels of the building. There is one parking space located behind the building for your use.

This cute studio cottage sleeps two in a full bed. Separate bath with spacious new shower. Walk to the beach, small fridge, and 4 cup coffee maker (please bring filters), A/C and complimentary Internet, Cobble stone fire place but please only use DuraFlame logs, One at a time. Pickle ball courts just one block away. This is our least expensive cottage, perfect for a quick getaway. It is a small cottage! So if you are a larger person and require more room, I would suggest another cottage.

The grill area is located just around the corner from the cabin and provided grill utensils! We loved this feature. Overall, we would 100% stay again as it was perfect for what we wanted out of this vacation."

Redberry House is divided into 2 private apartment units, each with its own entrance. The first floor unit has been lovingly updated and outfitted to host up to 8 people when using the twin trundle bed and separate futon in the den area. (The private upper floor unit is only used occasionally by the owners and will not interfere with your enjoyment of the home.) Redberry House is fully stocked with linens, bath towels, and beach towels, as well as a well-stocked kitchen and two internet TVs (via Roku). Unfortunately, the unit does not have a dishwasher or washer/dryer. Air conditioning is provided via two window units, along with ceiling fans and oscillating tower fans, that are more than sufficient for keeping the space cool and comfortable!

The Manistee area has so many interesting areas and activities to explore and is graced with beautiful landscapes that allow you to catch your breath, relax, and retreat. Come enjoy a week or a weekend and get to know one of Michigan's hidden gems!

Roomy and comfy upstairs studio Loft at Stony Lake with kitchenette, full bath with stall shower and large living and dining area that sleeps up to 5. Full size day bed with twin trundle and queen size sofa bed. Kitchen has full size refrigerator, microwave, sinks, NO STOVE, large island counter space, dishware and silverware for 6, utensils and serving bowls. Coffee pot, toaster, and electric griddle and frying pan. Dining table seats 6. Gas BBQ available also.

Guests will have access to awesome outside area with large deck and patio with built in fire pit. (May have to be shared if main cottage is in use at same time). Patio chairs and table, picnic tables on deck. Washer and dryer on site and ample private parking right outside the door.

With prior arrangements guests may also have access to my boat dock on Stony Lake for your fishing boat, ski boat or pontoon!

This area is both beautiful and relaxing! 5 minute walk to Lake Michigan public beach (the oval) or Stony Lake beach, or the park with playground and picnic area. Stony Lake Store and cafe where you can also rent tubes to float down Stony Creek channel from Stony Lake to Lake Michigan is one block away as is the Stony Lake Inn restaurant and bar. What more do you need?

Lots to do within a 15 minute drive. Benona Shores Golf course 5 min away and 3 other courses less than 10 miles. Rainbow Ranch horseback riding, Lewis Farms market and petting zoo, Silver Lake sand dunes and dune buggy rides, Double JJ Ranch with indoor water park, dining and rodeos, local wineries, to name a few! Did I mention great fishing?

Hot Tub (year round) and indoor seasonal pool (pool not heated Oct-April) for you to enjoy and then warm up around a campfire. Kayaks and bikes ready for you to use and Pontoon Boat rentals are available on Hamlin Lake.

Guest access
The entire apartment is totally yours to use. You are also welcome to use the front porch, yards and yard toys, campfire pit, deck and grill and grill tools with respect and careful consideration that this is also our home. The pool and hot tub requires adult supervision for 16 and younger. Laundry may be available upon request.

Several wonderful beaches for you to enjoy including a dog beaches at the city beach and in the state park. Fenced in dog park within 10 minutes.

Kayaks and bikes are available for you to use. Bike trails, both flat paved or rustic hilly within 10 minutes. Peaceful kayak trails on local lakes and rivers, including a handicap accessible launch in the state park. The State Park has lots of hiking trails both flat paved and rustic hilly.
Great fishing on several lakes and rivers, all with good launches.

Other things to note
Our home is in the woods so be prepared for mosquitos in the yard.
We live on a gravel road, 1/4 mile from paved road. Your GPS may send you down other longer gravel roads but if you prefer paved roads we will give you alternate routes to take.
There is books, games and puzzles in the apartment and children's toys, games and books available if you need them. There is plenty of yard toys in the garage for your use.
We have a pac-n-play for your little one and have access to a high chair if needed.
There is no smoking in or near the house or garage but you may smoke in the yard if you must.
Well behaved, housebroken pets are welcome as long as they are not constant barkers. All pets left alone in the apartment for any length of time must be crated or tied up outside. Crate and tie outs available if you don't have or can't bring one.

This apartment is one of 4 spaces at our small resort property directly on the Pere Marquette Bayou in Ludington. You have private and separate access to your own space with your personal deck overlooking the Bayou. The docks and the large lawn, including fire pits, a grill, picnic tables, hammocks and lawn games are shared with other guests.

Other things to note
This property has been completely renovated and re-imagined. It was a "Marina and Fishing Docks" for over 40 years with the owners living on the property and sharing the first building with the Marina that they established.
Over the years, as tends to happen with a family business and no family to carry on, the Marina was closed and left in disrepair. We were so excited to work with the original owners to buy this property with the vision of bringing life back into this location. We began the transformation to "the Bluë Bayou Marina & Resort" last Summer, 2024.

All 5 of the boat docks have been replaced creating 10 boat slips. The boardwalk to the docks were immediately repaired and renewed for boat slips and fishing docks.

"The Draper, Unit B" was the original living quarters of the owners and has been fully renovated and updated creating our first apartment, a mid-century modern space sleeping 6. Think Mad Men...and Don Draper.
"The Goldfish, Unit A" was the original marina shop, and was completely renovated into our 2nd apartment. sleeping 4 with a bird's eye view of the bayou.

"The Hemmingway, Unit C" is our 3rd renovation in a cinderblock house that was used as a rental by the owners of the marina, next door. This unit sleeps up to 10 people all in their own bed. Think vintage old Key West or Cuba.

Fire pits, picnic tables, a grill and hammocks are added to the lawn directly on the water along with yard games for the enjoyment of all of our guests.
These 3 completed guest units are in service now, with one more, our final and 4th living space here to be renovated and included in our vision for next summer, "The Swan, Unit 4".

Guests have easy access to the River Walk for a nice stroll down to Lake Michigan. Fully renovated flat 1 block from the beach! This 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit sleeps up to 8 people. Walk to Lake Michigan and enjoy the beach or take in the sunset. Check out all the shops downtown, also within walking distance, and grab a great meal at one of the local restaurants. Take in the sights of Ludington or take a drive along the lakeshore and check out the scenery. Charter a fishing trip and catch the big one! This is a great location for all your vacationing activities.

Welcome to the Trunk House at Camp Tosebo.
Nestled on the southern shores of pristine Portage Lake and surrounded by 50 acres of protected forest step right out your door for an abundance of activity. Named after its original role storing the campers' clothing, the Trunk House is a large, one room studio with vaulted ceilings, living and dining areas, queen size bed & twin bed, claw foot tub & shower, and kitchenette. Its rustic charm will bring you back for years to come.

The space
Camp Tosebo is comprised of 50 acres of wooded property with marked hiking trails. 3 rental houses are on the property including the Trunk House and share the private beach on Portage Lake as well as the guest dock. Volley ball, tennis, basketball, tether ball, a play ground, an outdoor fire pit and a vintage miniature golf course are available to all the guests of Camp Tosebo. Portage Lake is a great swimming lake with a sandy bottom. Excellent for boating, canoeing or kayaking. There is direct access to Lake Michigan by boat through the Portage Lake channel.

Guest access
Picnic area at the beach as well as a picnic table and grill at the Trunk House. The playground and tennis courts in Red Park Cottage Association is available to Trunk Houses guests.

Other things to note
All linens and towels are provided. For week long guests clean towels are provided half way through your stay. The Trunk House has a fully equipped kitchen with a microwave, small range, small refrigerator, coffee maker and dishes and pots and pans.

Washer & dryer and ample private parking onsite. 1 block from Stony Lake & Lake Michigan, walk to restaurants and store, park, playground, tubing down channel.
