Quiet, country setting that comfortably accommodates two.
This space is above our garage, which is not attached to our house. We are often outside working or playing, but it is very private once you are upstairs! There is no WiFi here. There is a lovely, private balcony with a nice view, lots of random movies, and several fun games. Verizon service works great here, so if you have a Hotspot you could hook up to our smart TV.

We use this space as an art studio and guesthouse for family and friends. Our stuff is up there, but make yourself at home!

The space
Main floor is an open living room, dining area, and kitchen. Upstairs you fill find the bathroom; one large bedroom with 1 full size bed, and 2 twins; second bedroom is very small with one full size bed. Basement has washer and dryer.

Other things to note
This is a rural location minutes from charming Hastings. Once you are on our property there will be no other homes in sight besides ours (and ours is extremely close sharing the same driveway). State hunting land is just down the road. We are a short drive to Gun Lake Casino and several all-sports lakes. Centrally located between Grand Rapids, Lansing, and Kalamazoo. We have a paved driveway a short distance down a dirt road.

We allow up to 8 guests with two full size beds, and two twin beds. For the maximum number of guests, some will need to sleep on the couch, recliner, or roll-away beds. Due to the nature of having to fold up, roll-away beds are not very comfortable.

We allow pets (with a fee) and ask that you clean up after them and keep them on a leash.

In order to provide all guests with clean fresh air we do not allow smoking of any kind.

Windows and doors must be closed if using air conditioning or heat. It is fine to turn heat/ac off and open windows, but they must be closed before turning it back on. This will help the house to maintain a more comfortable temperature.

We ask that you wash any dishes you use, and we require guests to notify us when checking out by simply messaging or texting “checkout”.

The space
Welcome to this beautiful lakefront home, nestled on nearly a full acre of land. This home has two distinct sides - one side is the owner's retreat, while the other side is all yours to enjoy! The backyard is a shared space with the owner.

As you enter, you'll find a convenient mud room with a washer and dryer for your use. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to whip up delicious meals. The cozy living room is perfect for snuggling up and watching TV on rainy days, playing a game with family or to just relax in when you need a break from all the fun.

On the main level, you'll also find two bedrooms and a bathroom. Head upstairs to discover a loft with a queen sleeper sofa and oversized chair, where you can relax and take in the beautiful view of the lake.

You will have access to the entire north side of the home (left side if you're looking from the road), as well as the back deck, yard, and lake frontage.
