This 12 year old beautiful home is just like new with a King size bed on the main level and a big loft area that includes a Queen bed and a sleep sofa/futon as well as a full sleep sofa/futon in the main living area.

This Pike River/Pike bay inlet property has a nice private dock with a sitting/fishing bench where you are able to sit, fish or relax. Fishing is closed on the Pike River during the month of May for spawning, but access to the lake is open. You are welcome to park your boat at the dock. We do not recommend that Fiberglass boats /or any other boats over 19' navigate up the river due to the current and fluctuation of depth caused by rain, evaporation and wind. By boat it takes around 7-10 minutes to navigate out to Pike Bay and that is the same amount of it Takes to get to a couple of good concrete launch ramps that can put you in different bays on the East side of Lake Vermilion for Fishing or just cruising around.

The fire pit area has plenty of seating and is only a stones throw away from the dock. The large deck has a patio table, new gas grill and plenty of seating if you like to sit out at night and enjoy the fresh air. The inside of the house has a full kitchen that includes a( Keurig coffeemaker, 2 slice bagel toaster, rice cooker, hand mixer and a large slow cooker). Also a full bathroom with tub/ shower and a laundry room for your use. The house has central A/C with 3 separate units. The large propane fireplace has a safety screen on it to keep hands from touching the glass. You will find two nice Samsung 43" High Definition LCD TV's in the main living area and one in the master bedroom, both with dish satellite TV for you to enjoy.

Location is key for this vacation rental. You are less than a half mile from a large gas station, convenient store with drive thru bait service that includes a new Liquor store.

Lake Vermilion is the 5th largest inland lake in Minnesota at 40,000 plus acres with over 350 islands and 1,200 miles of shoreline that makes it one of Minnesota's Top Multi-Species lakes. In the lake you will find the following Species-Walleye, Northern Pike, Bass, Crappies and of course Muskies. Fall Crappie fishing is good right off the dock.

Snowmobiling- The house is 2 tenths of a mile from groomed trails that give you direct access to the Arrowhead, Taconite and the State Marked Lake Trails. You can ride on some of the best trail systems in the state.

Golfing- within 45 minutes you can golf 12 different courses ranging from 9 hole courses to 3 of Minnesota's top public course: The Quarry and The Legend at Giants Ridge in Biwabik and The Wilderness at Fortune Bay.

'Reggie's Retreat' is a hidden gem of a house, less than a mile (.8 miles) from Lake Vermillion and just a few blocks (a 6 minute walk) from Tower's Main Street. This nicely decorated 2-story home boasts a private yard with a firepit, a back deck with outdoor seating and is located just steps away from all that Northern Minnesota and Lake Vermilion have to offer.

With 4 bedrooms, 3 full baths and 2 separate living rooms, there is plenty of space for you and the whole crew - including the dogs! All bedrooms were designed with comfort and relaxation in mind, and each include a Smart TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime. You will find gorgeous, handcrafted furniture throughout – made from Minnesota’s very own Northern Pines. We even had a log dog bed made for any pup “extra” enough to claim it during their stay!

The kitchen includes all the cooking necessities, and we keep the coffee bar stocked. Grill up a homemade meal to enjoy on the deck after a full day of fun in the sun (or snow)! We have Netflix and Amazon Prime, plus a huge collection of board games for those days you’d rather stay in. There is plenty of parking for your winter and water toys and a heated 2-car garage, perfect for those Northern Minnesota winters.

Dogs are eternally welcome at Reggie’s Retreat, and we do not discriminate based on breed or size. We ask that dogs are not left in the yard unattended (note – the yard is not fenced-in) and that they are crated if left in the house without a human attendant. Dogs must also be housebroken and current on all vaccinations. We have food/water bowls, dog beds and plenty of blankets and towels just for our K9 guests to use.

The Town of Tower is on the smaller side, but you’ll be within walking distance to a couple of bar n’ grills, an espresso café, ice-cream shop and Zup’s grocery store for all the essentials. Fortune Bay Casino and The Wilderness at Fortune Bay, the famous, 5-star golf course, are just a 12-minute drive away. Easy access to the nearby towns of Ely and Cook with additional shops and restaurants. Endless outdoor activities also in close proximity, including fishing, boating, hiking, and snowmobiling, just to name a few!

Bring your ice fishing house — the public landing is only a quarter mile down the road. For those without snowmobiles, rentals are available through Vermilion Rentals and there’s plenty of parking for trailers.

- "We had booked this property well in advance for a family vacation. Walking into this house made us awe struck! The pictures are great, but don't quite do the justice it deserves. It makes you feel like you are at home. Every appliance, kitchen item, and space for everything is right there. The other features that caught my eye were that the house is decorated like the owners live there full-time. Most VRBO's seem to take out all the nice decorations- not this house. Keeping nice things in the house for us to enjoy made it feel cozy. It was perfect for entertaining our family of 10 adults with room to spread out. The pool table was a nice option for when the weather wasn't perfect for outdoor activities. The outdoor space, outdoor equipment and amenities left plenty to do as well. Check-in and check-out was easy. If we had to do laundry, everything was supplied. The only thing I recommend is to bring an extra set of paper products as they are given as an initial courtesy, but it is the guests duty to replenish them once they are out. This minor inconvenience did not warrant NOT giving it 5 stars!!! We will definitely consider this property in the future and so should you!"

In existence since 1935, Westhaven Lodge and its cabins have one of the premier locations on the south side of Big Bay of Lake Vermilion. Cabin 1 has its own small point with a fire pit, dock and boat lift, and it has a pebble beach that it shares with the main lodge. It also has a canoe and two kayaks that are shared with the lodge.

The boat lift can accommodate a speed boat or fishing boat up to 4,000 pounds. The 650 square foot cabin has a bedroom with a queen bed and another bedroom with a bunk bed and single twin bed. It's finished with a vintage pine interior with an updated bathroom, and it also has a stone fireplace. Pets are allowed, and a large deck runs along the entire front (lakeside) of the cabin. Antenna TV available with Wi-Fi streaming capability. Because the sun rises and sets so far to the north in the summer, the point is ideal for watching both--just stay up late and get up early!

The log cabin boasts 2,700 square feet, 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, a huge loft with amazing views overlooking the lake, and a wood burning sauna house complete with a shower, sink, and futon. A short walk through the woods brings you to your own secluded wilderness picnic area and fire pit on a rocky point in Pike Bay. Hang out down on the lake on the amazing platform deck right on the water! Umbrella, hammocks, lounge chairs, two fishing kayaks, and paddleboat included! There is also a ladder on the dock for easy access for swimming right at the dock. It is about 4' deep at the end of the dock with no rocks, great for jumping in and swimming or hooking a lily pad up to the dock and lounging in the water. The lake bottom is slightly muddy at the end of the dock and transitions to sand/gravel about halfway down the dock. Great for hanging out in thigh deep water right off the platform deck with your favorite drink.

The cabin is conveniently located less than 2 miles down the road from Fortune Bay Casino and The Wilderness Golf Course, the #2 ranked public golf course in Minnesota! Many other adventures await including miles of snowmobiling and ATV trails, a 40 minute drive to the Iron Range Off-Highway Vehicle State Recreation Park, a 10 minute drive to the Soudan Mine State Park, a 30 minute drive to Giant's Ridge Golf and Ski Hill, and a 25 minute drive to the beautiful town of Ely! There is a boat launch at Fortune Bay Casino just down the road, as well as ample dock space at the cabin for your boat on calm Pike Bay! The state snowmobile trail is on the lake directly in front of the cabin too!

The Space:
This cabin was built for rentals around 1953 and has hosted thousands of families over the years. Since we purchased it in 2017 we have done some updates but the overall charm is not lost.

The Neighborhood:
With 25 steps to the water we do not recommend renting if you have mobility issues. The property owners and other guests at the property may have dogs off leash.

Other Things to Note:
This cabin is one of three on our property and Bayview Lodge is located to the East of our property. During summer months there is an outdoor bar at Bayview Lodge and despite the large fence it is something that you can generally hear when outdoors. They are great neighbors and shut things down by 10 pm but if you don't want to hear or see other people this property is not for you.

Interaction with Guests:
We have a home on the property and are usually available. Although we're close we understand that people come up here for privacy and always respect their space.

- "It would have been small for a lot of people but I loved staying here. Especially important to me was the swimming, deep, cold, excellent swimming. The onsite management was excellent, Denise is terrific. I loved the relaxed attitudes about dogs! It’s an old-style, knotty pine cabin with all the basics provided ( like towels, TP, all kinds of utensils, dish pan and drying rack). A nice deck is wrapped around the lakeside of the cabin was lovely to sit on and watch the Lake. I was lucky it was a quiet week, It’s not secluded —right over the fence there’s Tavern on the Bay, with OK food and decent live music, but, since I ended up there alone with my dog, I liked that. (They’re quiet after ten.) Overall, I was really pleased with this place, I would return."

Lake Vermilion is a premier lake in Minnesota with world class fishing! Walleye, pike, bass are all good and the muskie fishing is world class! (50+ inch class are plentiful in this lake).

Other local attractions include hiking (trail nearby), several local bar/restaurants that are within boating distance, casino at Fortune Bay, golf, many activities in Ely, and mountain biking at Giants Ridge. Lake Vermilion is also an excellent winter destination for ice fishing and snowmobiling, and downhill skiing at Giants Ridge.

Attention Winter guests (specifically snowmobilers): We welcome groups that wish to snowmobile, however we do not offer snowmobile direct access from the property to the lake due to septic tank concerns. Snowmobiles can either be ridden from the driveway to close access points (McKinley or Hoodoo point - couple minute ride), or trailered to those locations and offloaded. Once snowmobiles are on the lake, feel free to park at the shoreline and walk up to the cabin. Thank you for understanding!

- "This lake home fit our family just right. Our 8 and 12-year-old kids said “there was so much to do!” It has lots of space in the lower level dedicated to playing games so they could entertain themselves when adults were busy. The best part of this home is definitely the deck. It has the most lovely view overlooking the lake and you literally feel like you’re in a tree house. The dock situation is great. We have a 19’ Lund and felt like it was safe the entire time (no dangerous boulders or strong waves). It’s tucked in the bay just enough. We swam in the lake multiple times but it’s best to have water footwear. The swim area is partly rocky and partly soft bottom but no weeds. There is a full flight of steps to the lake but they are well-built with railings. The kitchen is very well-stocked and we never were at a loss for anything. The entire house was extremely clean and comfortable. Best of all, the hosts are spot-on…from detailed instructions to being super responsive, it really seems like they are on top of it all. I would highly recommend! We already want to go back! It’s hard to find a vacation home that has it all AND allows dogs. Thank you so much, Sean and Amy!"

~2020 Alaskan Lund 16' Tiller fishing boat is a must have for the avid angler who is visiting Lake Vermilion because of its reputation as one of Minnesota's top fishing destinations. This boat is equipped with a MinnKota transom mounted trolling motor, 60hp tiller Mercury outboard, Humminbird Helix 9 with Sonar/GPS/LakeMaster Map Chip/Mega Side & Down Imaging, live well, and a full tank of gas. Weekly rate is $875 + tax.

Four seasons of fun on Lake Vermilion. Enjoy lake views, sunrises and sunsets year round with islands in the distance. The cabin sits steps from a rock lined shore featuring a large fire pit and deck overhanging the water, there is a nice dock with bumpers to keep your boat. The property is located 3 miles from a public boat launch.

The cabin has everything you'll need for a comfortable stay, the kitchen is fully stocked with a new electric glass top stove/oven along with a refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and endless amounts of counter space round it out. If cooking is not in your plans during your stay, we are within a few miles by boat, car or snowmobile to a number of restaurants on the lake. The bedrooms have rustic bed frames and comfortable mattresses, the bathroom located between the bedrooms offers a new shower and fixtures.

The heated bunkhouse has a king size bed with a futon couch which converts to a double bed for additional sleeping space, a smart TV and a small refrigerator. The bunkhouse is located a few steps from the cabin as well as steps away from a stylish outhouse for those of you who are the outdoorsy type.

The cabin sits between 2 large parcels of land with no neighbors in sight, the only thing you'll see is Mother Nature.

On the deck overlooking the lake we have a large Green Egg grill available for use and we supply the lump charcoal.

Winter - The Lake Vermilion area offers easy access to more than 1,000 miles of interconnected groomed Minnesota snowmobile trails. Located at the junction of the Arrowhead and Taconite trail systems, the trails are well-marked with detailed maps on the lake. If you have snowmobiles you can access the lake from our property, if not there are rentals available in the area. Winter walleye, northern, perch, crappie, and bluegill make for excellent ice fishing. Cross-county skiing, snowshoeing and dogsledding are also available in the area. At night when it's quiet you can hear the ice cracking from miles around. My favorite is on a clear night to sit on the deck gazing at billions of stars and listen.

Spring - Fishing is amazing on Lake Vermilion. We are located on the north shoreline of Daisy Bay, from the windows or outside enjoying the weather, you'll watch boats pass by and you're close enough to ask if they are catching anything!

Summer - The warming water temperatures allow for water skiing, swimming or just floating right off the dock. The lake bottom is hard and rocky in areas but drops off quickly, it's about 12 feet deep at the end of the dock. Our cabin is protected from the wind and boat traffic as it's situated in a cove-like shoreline. The cabin has air conditioning but most nights will offer a breeze off the lake allowing you to comfortably sleep with the windows open and able to hear the sound of the waves.

Fall - If you love the changing seasons and the colors of the leaves changing during the fall months, you will not be disappointed on Lake Vermilion. Warm and sunny days lead to crisp, cool nights and a great time for a bonfire with s'mores. This is also a great time of year for fall fishing, hiking and biking, ATV/OHV, and golf.

Nearby attractions include Fortune Bay Casino, The Wilderness at Fortune Bay Golf Course, Pier 77 Mini Golf, The International Wolf Center, North American Bear Center, Pebble Spa, Soudan Underground Mine, and endless hiking trails and attractions.

There are 2 additional beds (one bunk bed with a queen lower bed/twin upper & one trundle with 2 singles) in the bunkhouse which can be used all year. There is heat and electric in the bunkhouse. This gives you multiple spaces to enjoy with your group.

The furniture in the home has been consistently updated to provide guests a true place to call home! The living room now features a leather couch with 2 reclining ends and 2 additional leather recliners for you to really relax after a fun day on the boat, side by side, or sled.

There are also 2 decks, one with the main house and one by the lake and bunkhouse. Each deck has a table, chairs, and there is grill on the upper deck. The main house deck also has a pergola for needed shade in the summer.

There is a fire pit right by the water for you to enjoy. There is a zero entry part of the lake shore, which is great if you enjoy swimming or have children who want to play in the water's edge. The water is historically about 6 feet deep at the end of the docks, but does vary.

The main house has stunning views of Lake Vermilion, sits on a ridge, and is hidden in the pines. There are solid, wide steps to the bunkhouse and lake. It's an easy walk up & down for those in moderate shape. However, it may not be the best property for young children, anyone with mobility/health issues or anyone who has trouble walking, as there is elevation from the lake to the house. The house is set in the woods and has a small rock bluff on one side, which is beautiful. The property lot is somewhat narrow (85 ft wide), so it is possible that you may hear neighbors or see them when your are at the lakeshore. There are 2 very good condition docks for you to use. We have a large parking area, plus an additional parking spot by the driveway entrance from the street, if needed. We do share the large parking area by the house with one neighbor. The lot lines are marked, so that you can see where to park on our side. There is plenty of space to park vehicles and trailers.

Our property has a great location for everything Vermilion. Only 3 miles down the road (or go by boat) to the VC or Vermilion Club. Great pizza and lively atmosphere. Or go to Pier 77, once again, down the street, for mini golf, pizza, & ice cream! You can boat to other restaurants (VC on Daisy Bay and Tavern on the Bay on the other side of Birch Point), marinas, stores, and Fortune Bay casino, too. Gruben's Marina is less than a mile from the property. Gruben’s is a good spot to get on the lake when snowmobiling or for boat access with a small fee. They also have a small store, bottle shop & rent boats. Gruben's also has food trucks and other special events throughout the summer. Birch Point Marina across Daisy Bay also provides boat rentals. There are public access boat launches within a short driving distance, at Moccasin Point. There are also many great hikes within a short drive. Great location for a base camp to enjoy the area, from Orr to Ely. Or simply fish, boat, snowmobile, or relax on amazing Lake Vermilion.

There are no stairs to enter the house from outside or on the main level, but stairs are required to get to the lakeshore.

This open, vaulted, two story cabin sits on beautiful Lake Vermilion overlooking Big Bay. Enjoy the amazing sunsets and pines surrounding the one acre property with 140 feet of shoreline. This cabin is a very well maintained 2 bedroom (enclosed den/office can act as an additional 3rd bedroom) lake home with quality furnishings and amenities. The very large loft bedroom upstairs has two comfortable queen size beds. If needed, there is a queen air mattress as well as a pack and play for an infant up to 2 years old. The main floor bedroom has a queen size bed. The couches in the den are comfortable and provide additional sleeping space if needed as the french doors can be closed to provide some privacy. On the main level there is one full bathroom with a shower/tub combination and an additional1/2 bath that includes toilet, sink basin/faucet, and washer/dryer.

There are many amenities outside that are available for relaxation and enjoying the views. There is a patio table with 4 swing/rocking chairs and 2 “By The Yard” Adirondack glider rockers right on the main deck from the dining and living area. A second lower level deck has built-in wood seating around the perimeter of the deck as well as an addition patio table with 6 chairs. Two Adirondack chairs on the edge of the dock are available for enjoying the views and/or fishing as well as a bench. Two, 10 ft Pelican kayaks and a canoe are available for use. Renters need to provide their own life jackets. A large, fire pit with marble seating is located right out the side entrance door. A propane, gas grill is available in the area as well. A new path was built from the deck to the dock in the summer of 2021 for easy walking to the lake.

The cabin is in a peaceful, beautiful area of Lake Vermilion. Views of Ely Island is straight out from the cabin - one of 365 islands on the lake! Very close to the state park and many miles of trails for walking, hiking, and ATV's. McKinley Park is less than a mile from the cabin and provides an option for a large sandy beach, playground, and boat launch. Located close (all within 20 miles) to dining options, world-class golf courses, casino, state park, Boundary Waters and shopping/events in Ely.

There is an additional .03% township tax required to be collected from renters. If booking the week of July 4th there is an additional $50 increase charged per day ($350 weekly).

This beautiful log cabin encompasses all someone could wish for in a romantic getaway for two or a vacation for a small family to get away from all the distractions of everyday life. Wild blueberry plants cover the island and provide a nice bonus for some blueberry pancakes enjoyed on the lakefront picnic table (when in season!) A bag of locally roasted coffee is also included to make that first cup of coffee on the beautiful deck all that much better. Great fishing exists in any direction you go from the cabin including off the shoreline around the cabin. - "The cabin is on an island with no other occupants, therefore, privacy. The cabin is a real log cabin and fitted together nicely, so no breezy drafts and nice windows. It was clean and well maintained with stove, refrigerator, running water, dishes and pots & pans. There was not good TV reception, but we weren't there to watch TV. The toilet was an outdoor jiffy; not a problem for me, but not a real plus for my wife. The host and hostess were very friendly and helpful."

It's perfect for a family vacation, for a group of fishermen, or for retired grandparents who'd like to introduce their grandkids to the wonder of Lake Vermilion.

With 290 feet of frontage, you'll have quite a bit of lakeshore all to yourselves. We've left 40 feet of woods undisturbed on each side to provide privacy.

The cabin is set back 120 feet with ample open space shaded by mature trees for your campfire, lawn games or lawn chair in the shade. The gentle slope to the lake makes the walk easy for youngsters and retired folks (like us!).

The cabin and the lakeshore now have Starlink internet service. Typical speeds are 150-250 Mb/s. Great for work or play. And for streaming your sports and TV programming.

Our guest boat lift has been upgraded to 3600 lbs. A 2nd boat up to 22ft long can be moored at the adjacent dock. Both docks have 120v power and an overhead light.

The 800 sq. foot cabin has two large bedrooms. One bedroom has two twin beds and one has a queen and a twin, bringing the sleeping capacity to 4 or 5 persons.

The entire cabin -- inside and out -- has been renovated over the last ten years. When you visit this summer, you'll find a new exterior, bath fixtures, and kitchen appliances. Plus, we've added a clothes washer/dryer, a dishwasher, and air conditioning -- the items most requested by our guests.

Lake Vermilion is one of Minnesota’s largest and most beautiful lakes. Its 365 islands, countless bays and points, and hundreds of miles of shoreline are waiting to be explored. Our NW facing property allows you to experience its spectacular sunsets from your private dock.

There's excellent walleye fishing right off the dock through early June, especially in the morning and evening. Several smallmouth bass reside under the dock all year. Easy for kids to catch and release.

We live on the property year round in a log home you may see in some of the pictures. We are available 24 hours a day to attend to your needs, answer any questions you might have, or to fix anything that might go wrong. But we promise to stay in the background and not disturb your full use of the entire property.

Summary:
The cabin is located on 3 acres with two other cabins that are rentals and a home that we live in. There are three large docks with boat parking and power. It is about 25 steps down to the lake, we do not recommend staying here if you have mobility issues. There is a private fire pit just for this cabin as well as a shared fire pit at the beach. The cabin is almost 100 years old and rustic. We have made many updates such as the kitchen, bath, electric, etc.

The Space:
Inside you'll find everything you need. The three bedrooms are fairly small but we have comfortable beds in them. Two of the bedrooms have queen size beds and the last bedroom has two twin size beds. The kitchen is open to the living room which has a large window overlooking the lake and we do have a television. There is a deck that wraps around the back of the cabin where you will find a propane grill and a beautiful view.

Guest Access:
Guests will be given an access code two days prior to arrival. It is self check-in so all you have to do is show up.

The Neighborhood:
This is a small family run resort with three rental cabins and four RV sites on a three acre lot. There are shared docks and there is a shared beach. Due to the three rental cabins on one large property it is common to have kids playing and people walking around during the day.

Getting Around:
You're going to need a car and you'll probably want a boat to go fishing. The metro is a long ways from here.

Quaint cabin settles deep in the north woods on Lake Vermilion. Situated on a bank overlooking the lake this cabin offers stunning views and fresh breezes year round. Just a short set of stairs to the lake where you'll find a sandy beach and three large docks.

21 foot Bennington pontoon available for guests to rent at $200 per day. Reach out after booking to reserve.

The space
This cabin was built for rentals around 1953 and has hosted thousands of families over the years. Since we purchased it in 2017 we have done some updates but the overall charm is not lost.

Other things to note
This cabin is one of three on our property and Bayview Lodge is located to the East of our property. During summer months there is an outdoor bar at Bayview Lodge and despite the large fence it is something that you can generally hear when outdoors. They are great neighbors and shut things down by 10 pm but if you don't want to hear or see other people this property is not for you.

The cabin stays toasty warm with electric heat and an electric fireplace in the grand room. The main floor features a bedroom with a queen-size bed and a full bathroom. Upstairs in the loft, you’ll find 1 queen bed and a queen inflatable mattress (please note the loft is accessible by stairs). A twin mattress sofa bed in the living room provides additional sleeping accommodations.

The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen for all your cooking needs, a dining table that can sit five, and a convenient laundry room with a washer and dryer, ensuring you have everything you need for both short and extended stays.

Enjoy nearby snowmobile and cross-country ski trails, with direct snowmobile access from the property. Fortune Bay, just 2 miles away, boasts free groomed trails for your adventures. Bring your ice fishing house — the public landing is only a quarter mile down the road. For those without snowmobiles, rentals are available through Vermilion Rentals and there’s plenty of parking for trailers.

The cabin is located on 3 acres with two other cabins that are rentals and a home that we live in. There are three large docks with boat parking and power. It is about 25 steps down to the lake, we do not recommend staying here if you have mobility issues. There is a private fire pit just for this cabin as well as a shared fire pit at the beach. The cabin is almost 100 years old and rustic. We have made many updates such as the kitchen, bath, electric, etc.

The space
Inside you'll find everything you need. The three bedrooms are fairly small but we have comfortable beds in them. Two of the bedrooms have queen size beds and the last bedroom has two twin size beds. The kitchen is open to the living room which has a large window overlooking the lake and we do have a television. There is a deck that wraps around the back of the cabin where you will find a propane grill and a beautiful view.

Guests will be given an access code two days prior to arrival. It is self check-in so all you have to do is show up.

We have a 21 foot Bennington pontoon available for guests to rent at $200 per day. After booking reach out to setup your rental.

Escape the city and indulge in fishing, boating, snowmobiling, or pure relaxation at our Northwoods cabin on Lake Vermilion. Kids will adore the spacious yard for soccer and baseball, while an adjacent trail caters to ATV, snowmobile, and walking adventures throughout the region.

We have a 21' Bennington available for rent to guests of our cabin at $200 per day. Please reach out after booking if you are interested.

The space
This north-woods cabin was built in '54 and has seen many updates over the years. The original knotty pine floors and ceiling are still just as warm feeling today as they were when it was built. A large living room where you will also find a 42" TV with Netflix, Youtube TV (ESPN, Fox Sports, NBC, etc), and a huge movie collection. In the kitchen you'll find everything you need for cooking, including coffee maker, pots, pans, utensils, dishes, and a grill..

Guests have the entire cabin to themselves. There is a private fire pit, deck, and grill. In addition there are three shared 60' docks and a community firepit by the water.

Other things to note
This cabin is one of three on our property and Bayview Lodge is located to the East of our property. During summer months there is an outdoor bar at Bayview Lodge and despite the large fence it is something that you can generally hear when outdoors. They are great neighbors and shut things down by 10 pm but if you don't want to hear or see other people this property is not for you.

You will have access to the entire house and yard, with the exception of one owner’s closet, the utility room, and the housekeeper’s pantry.

Boaters, snowmobilers, and ATV riders: The driveway is big enough for two trucks with trailers - OR - four vehicles without trailers. Additional vehicles and trailers must be parked in the city’s dedicated ATV lot one mile away.

Other things to note
Please help us keep our vacation home beautiful by removing your shoes when you come in, using the squeegee on glass shower doors after each use, and not taking food or drinks (except water) into the bedrooms.

Please do not drive or park vehicles on the front lawn. It’s a putting green!

If you use the extra jackets, blankets or sweatshirts and they get dirty or smoky, please wash and dry them before you leave so our housekeeper doesn’t have to wait for them to dry.

You are welcome to use the golf clubs, snow shoes, and other sports and recreation gear during your stay. Please just make sure to bring everything back and return it where you found it when finished.

Our housekeeper does not clean outside, so please pick up after yourself and leave the deck, patio, porch and yard clean and ready for the next guests.

Welcome to Lovgren's Guest Cabin.

Since 2013, we've been sharing our guest cabin with others, so they, too, can enjoy the beauty and great fishing our lake offers. Our season fills quickly. We're sorry if the days you want are already taken. Please book your favorite time soon.

The space
You'll be staying at a private, air-conditioned cabin centrally located on Birch Point of Lake Vermilion. It's perfect for a family vacation, for a group of fishermen, or for retired grandparents who'd like to introduce their grandkids to the wonder of Lake Vermilion.

With 290 feet of frontage, you'll have quite a bit of lakeshore all to yourselves. We've left 40 feet of woods undisturbed on each side to provide privacy.

The cabin is set back 120 feet with ample open space shaded by mature trees for your campfire, lawn games or lawn chair in the shade. The gentle slope to the lake makes the walk to your private 40-foot dock easy for youngsters and retired folks (like us!).

The cabin and the lakeshore now have Starlink satellite internet service. Typical speeds are 150-250 Mb/s. Great for work or play. And for streaming your sports and TV programming.

Our guest boat lift has been upgraded to 3600 lbs. A 2nd boat up to 22ft long can be moored at the adjacent dock. Both docks have 120v power and an overhead light.

The 800 sq. foot cabin has two large bedrooms. One bedroom has two twin beds and one has a queen and a twin, bringing the sleeping capacity to 4 or 5 adults.

The entire cabin -- inside and out -- has been renovated over the last ten years. When you visit, you'll find a new exterior, bath fixtures, and kitchen appliances. Plus, we've added a clothes washer/dryer, a dishwasher, and air conditioning -- the items most requested by our guests.

Lake Vermilion is one of Minnesota’s largest and most beautiful lakes. Its 365 islands, countless bays and points, and hundreds of miles of shoreline are waiting to be explored. Our NW facing property allows you to experience its spectacular sunsets from your private dock.

There's good walleye fishing right off the dock through early June, especially in the morning and evening. Several smallmouth bass reside under the dock all year. Easy for kids to catch and release.

We live on the property year round in a log home you may see in some of the pictures. We are available 24 hours a day to attend to your needs, answer any questions you might have, or to fix anything that might go wrong. But we promise to stay in the background and not disturb your full use of the entire property.

The space
Our home is comfy and cozy with an amazing view and lake access.

There is a new, and large, private dock with space to park 1-2 boats.

The home has a newly constructed Lakeview deck! In the home, the two upper level bedrooms have large TVs, as well as the upper and lower living rooms.
The lower bedroom contains a queen bed and a trundle (pull out) style bed that is best suited for children or small adults.

Extra amenities include firepit area by the lake (small fires only to avoid damage to boat lift canopy) and charcoal grill available for use (we do not provide charcoal).

**Home contains two Ring video recording devices that monitor the exterior of the home. We respect our guests privacy and these cameras are primarily used for security and liability purposes. They are occasionally and briefly monitored to ensure no blatant rule violations (I.E. large party)**

Attention Winter guests (specifically snowmobilers): We welcome groups that wish to snowmobile, however we do not offer snowmobile direct access from the property to the lake due to septic tank concerns. Snowmobiles can either be ridden from the driveway to close access points (McKinley or Hoodoo point - couple minute ride), or trailered to those locations and offloaded. Once snowmobiles are on the lake, feel free to park at the shoreline and walk up to the cabin. Thank you for understanding!

Grandpa's cabin is the perfect lakeside retreat, offering ample space for trailers and trucks. Completely remodeled, the cabin boasts three spacious bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Though it may appear small from the outside, the interior offers plenty of room, including a large, fully-equipped kitchen with brand-new appliances and enough space for multiple cooks. The open-concept dining and living area features a table with seating for eight and a cozy sectional sofa, ideal for gathering.

Located next to public access, this cabin is perfect for year-round adventures, whether you're snowmobiling, ice fishing, or boating. You can park your boat on the dock, which is surrounded by trees that provide privacy for both the dock and the cabin. The property also includes amenities like a fire pit, fish cleaning station, hammocks, two kayaks, and a canoe for guests' use.

Inside, the modern yet rustic remodel creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The main-floor bedroom offers a king-size bed with an adjacent full bath. Upstairs, you'll find two more bedrooms, both with king-size beds and full-size daybeds, each with pull-out twin trundles for additional sleeping space.

Conveniently located on Everett Bay, the cabin is across from Fortune Bay Casino, Sunset Steakhouse, and The Wilderness Golf Course (2min by boat/10min drive). Additionally, the cabin is close to several local taverns and restaurants, offering a variety of dining options and entertainment during your stay.

We do not spray for bugs to avoid killing beneficial insects like bees, dragonflies, butterflies and so on. On the backside of our property, there’s a grassy/rocky path that we use as an access point for bikes, walking, ATVs, and snowmobiles to reach the main trails and a quick route to The Vermillion Club.

All bedding and towels are provided, but you’ll need to bring your own shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. We have the basics available. The main kitchen upstairs has all the cooking supplies, a crockpot, and a Keurig machine for coffee lovers.

For rainy days, we have movies and games in the upstairs kitchen island. The cabin has been upgraded internet to StarLink, so you can connect multiple devices at once.

The downstairs section of the cabin has one bedroom with a full bunkbed, a bathroom, a sauna, a basic kitchen/stove, a fridge, and a microwave. If you need smaller accommodations; Please ask about the rates.

**Warning:** You may encounter potentially dangerous animals, so please be cautious when cleaning fish. Don’t leave the gutting outside in the woods. Many fish cleaners clean their fish at the shoreline and let the crawfish eat it. We’re in the middle of the woods, and we want to minimize the risk of inviting these animals closer.

Enjoy your time up north on the Pike Bay Inlet of Lake Vermillion any time of the year. Lake Vermillion is one of the top ten most scenic lakes in the United States. Within its 40,000 acres of water there are 365 islands and has 1200 miles of shoreline. It stretches for nearly 30 miles across the Arrowhead Region, boarders the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness and is almost completely surrounded by the Superior National Forest.

The main floor is newly renovated with two bedrooms, each with a queen bed. A 3/4 Bath is also available on the main level. The dining table with seating for 6 and additional seating at the kitchen counter ensures enough room for everyone. Couple that with the large kitchen and cozy living room with gas fireplace and you’re set for a relaxing vacation.
With highspeed Starlink internet, you’ll never have an issue connecting with the outside world, if you feel you need to escape the tranquil world you’ve found. Smart TVs in living room and both bedrooms means you can connect to Netflix, Hulu, Disney and Amazon should you need a break from the great outdoors.
The walkout basement means easy access to the backyard and water. Note: the basement is not finished. It does have an additional two beds, couch, TV and half bath.

There are two decks, the upper deck wraps around the house with a BBQ and griddle. The lower sun deck gives you access to the walkway down the hill to the dock. Feel free to bring your boat/jet ski/lake toys. The Island in front of property is great for muskie fishing and bald eagle sightings. There is a fire pit down by the lake. The driveway is narrow and does have a hill but plenty of parking for vehicles, RV, trailers, boats, etc. So pack up your toys and come relax, boat, fish, ski, eat, & enjoy yourself in Northern Minnesota.

The space
The main home sleeps 8 adults very comfortably. There are a total of 4 separate bedrooms in the house and the 5th bedroom is in the bunk house. The bunk house can sleep up to 4 with the queen sized bunk bed. The bunk house will not be rented separately from the house.
There are 4 separate decks with this property. One that is beach front (to keep an eye on little ones or for sunbathing). A second massive area for dining, roasting marshmallows, barbequing and just watching nature. A third off the master suite with it's own private entrance and retractable awning. Lastly, one off the Great Room that faces the North. Perfect for being one with nature.

~Old Town 17' Fiberglass canoe can seat up to two people, life jackets included as well as oars. Weekly rate is $150 + tax.

Sleeping Arrangements:
Bedroom 1: The master suite has a king-size bed, an electric fireplace for those chilly nights, and sliding doors that open onto the deck with stunning lake views. The attached master bathroom features a two-person jacuzzi tub and tiled shower.

Bedroom 2: Offers a queen-size bed, framed by a large window that lets you wake up to a view of the lake. This bedroom also features a dedicated workspace/desk, perfect for those who need to work during their stay.

Bedroom 3: For families with children, this room features two full-over-full bunk beds, comfortably sleeping up to 8 kids.

The downstairs family room provides additional sleeping capacity with a queen-size sleeper sofa, making this home perfect for groups or multi-generational stays.

Bedroom 4: In addition to the main cabin, there’s a game cabin with a queen bedroom for those seeking a bit of separation.

Bedroom 5: Just steps from the beach, the detached lakeside bedroom offers a secluded retreat, perfect for enjoying the soothing sounds of the water while resting in a full-size bed. This room is located about 20 yards from the main cabin, and we do not shovel a path to it, so it is not available for use during the winter months.

About The Property:
The main level living room is designed for relaxation with expansive views of Frazer Bay. It features a gas fireplace with a mantel carved from a 150-year-old elm tree. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances, including a burr grinder, French press, and drip coffee maker. For those who enjoy cooking outdoors, there is a Weber Summit grill and a Pit-Boss Austin XL smoker.

Step outside onto the deck and discover a custom breakfast bar with stunning lake views—the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee, sip an evening cocktail, and soak in the peaceful surroundings as the sun sets on the horizon. The property’s sand beach is gently sloping, making it easy to access the private cove, which is protected from large waves and boat traffic, offering a safe and peaceful environment for swimming and water activities. The two docks provide great spots for fishing, tying up your boat/pontoon, or simply relaxing by the water. Dockside shore power allows you to recharge your trolling motor and electronics after a day of fishing. Guests have access to all buildings and amenities on the property except the garage. Feel free to use the Game Cabin, fire pit, beach, dock, sauna, hot tub, and all outdoor spaces to make the most of your visit. Beach toys, lawn games, lawn chairs, life vests, (2) standup paddleboards, and a kayak are all included with your stay!

Please note that our boat is not available for guest use. We appreciate your understanding and encourage you to bring your own boat or off-road vehicle if desired. Boat rentals are also available at nearby marinas.
