The Loft has a designated parking space in front of the garage, next to cabin #1. Additional parking for a second vehicle is available on the grass area across from the cabins.

- Pre-approval is required. You must provide the age, breed, and weight of your dog(s) when inquiring or booking.

The pontoon is capable of pulling tubers and also features AM/FM Radio, plenty of storage and a nice shade canopy so you can comfortably enjoy everything Fish Hook River/Lake has to offer during your stay!

The large, enclosed porch, furnished with cozy sofa futons, offers the best view of the river and the stunning Minnesota landscape through its multiple windows. Relax here with cable TV and Roku for your entertainment. The cabin also features a fully stocked kitchen, a dining area, and a bathroom. There are two bedrooms: the first with a queen bed, and the second with a double bed and two twin beds, offering an incredible river view from its window.

Outside, the cabin is surrounded by the natural beauty of lush greenery, vibrant wildflowers, and towering trees that perfectly complement its rustic charm. Birch is a studio built in 2017 - square log construction. Many guests describe Birch like being on a houseboat. When you sit on the couch or glider rocker, you can only see water. Complete kitchen with microwave, full refrigerator, dishwasher and range. There is a place for everything. This is a more private location at the very east end of the resort. It’s also our closest cabin to Big Sand Lake–about 3 feet. When you look out the huge front windows, it looks like your floating on the water. The Birch studio home is a favorite for cuddling couples and small families.

Our Pine Cone Lodge Resort is located between two lakes! More rustic and scenic Loon/Thomas Lake is shallower and great for bass and panfish. It does not have public access. There is public access on Big Sand Lake on the south-east shore.

This property is not available for VRBO rentals in the summer Memorial Day through Labor Day. We hope you try out this property at Pine Cone Lodge during the fall, winter or spring.

Sleeping arrangement: Queen bed and the Loft above has a twin bed.
Daily visitors are $15/day that you pay during stay.

Being able to use the small dock for casting off and the fire pit at night were great bonuses. We can provide that, with a 2 bedroom cabin 10 feet from the shores of Big Sand Lake, Park Rapids, Minnesota. Big Sand is one of the areas premier fishing and recreational lakes. 1800 acre lake with 35-foot water clarity, hard pack sand bottom, gradual slope out, and no weeds!! Fantastic swimming off the end of the dock. The cabin is a rustic two bedroom with a large deck and lakeside fire pit. There is a double bed in one bedroom. The other bedroom has a bunk bed with full mattress on the bottom and twin on top. Beautiful setting among towering white and red pines, right on the water, with a fabulous fire pit overlooking a natural rocky shoreline. This cabin faces west for the best sunset views in Hubbard County.
The cabin is NOT handicap accessible, and people with mobility issues will find the steps difficult. There are 35 stone steps down (from parking) to cabin and waters edge.
There are no hard-wired phones, but there is wifi and internet access.
Our cabin is part of an old resort, so there are nearby neighbors and we kindly ask that you respect their privacy if they happen to be in residence.
We have a canoe and 2 kayaks for you to enjoy that are included with the cabin rental. There is also a 20ft pontoon with a 60hp motor for rent. Please message for details. Motorized boat rentals will be charged outside of VRBO - please contact Jim - the owner/property manager if interested prior to your check in.

Great fishing, free use of dock and boat launch, kayaks, canoe, grill and firepit.
The property is allowed to have 4 people per county license. This cabin sleeps 2 comfortably since there is only one bedroom (king size bed). There is loveseat and oversize chair in living area that could also be used if needed.
We would also appreciate that there are no other or extra guests invited to the cabin during your stay.
Recently added a window Air Conditioner so it keeps cabin quite comfy.
