Birch is a studio built in 2017 - square log construction. Many guests describe Birch like being on a houseboat. When you sit on the couch or glider rocker, you can only see water. Our Pine Cone Lodge Resort is located between two lakes! More rustic and scenic Loon/Thomas Lake is shallower and great for bass and panfish. It does not have public access. There is public access on Big Sand Lake on the south-east shore.
This property is not available for VRBO rentals in the summer Memorial Day through Labor Day. We hope you try out this property at Pine Cone Lodge during the fall, winter or spring.
Sleeping arrangement: Queen bed and the Loft above has a twin bed.
Daily visitors are $15/day that you pay during stay.

Looking for a true getaway that reminds you of the vacations you took when you were a kid?
We can provide that, with a 2 bedroom cabin 10 feet from the shores of Big Sand Lake, Park Rapids, Minnesota. Big Sand is one of the areas premier fishing and recreational lakes. 1800 acre lake with 35-foot water clarity, hard pack sand bottom, gradual slope out, and no weeds!! Fantastic swimming off the end of the dock. The cabin is a rustic two bedroom with a large deck and lakeside fire pit. There is a double bed in one bedroom. The other bedroom has a bunk bed with full mattress on the bottom and twin on top. Beautiful setting among towering white and red pines, right on the water, with a fabulous fire pit overlooking a natural rocky shoreline. This cabin faces west for the best sunset views in Hubbard County.
The cabin is NOT handicap accessible, and people with mobility issues will find the steps difficult. There are 35 stone steps down (from parking) to cabin and waters edge.
There are no hard-wired phones, but there is wifi and internet access.
Our cabin is part of an old resort, so there are nearby neighbors and we kindly ask that you respect their privacy if they happen to be in residence.
We have a canoe and 2 kayaks for you to enjoy that are included with the cabin rental. There is also a 20ft pontoon with a 60hp motor for rent. Please message for details. Motorized boat rentals will be charged outside of VRBO - please contact Jim - the owner/property manager if interested prior to your check in.

Lake cabin with sandy beach on Long Lake near Park Rapids.
Up north 3 hours from the Twin Cities.
1 bedroom, 1 bathroom.
Great fishing, free use of dock and boat launch, kayaks, canoe, grill and firepit.
The property is allowed to have 4 people per county license. This cabin sleeps 2 comfortably since there is only one bedroom (king size bed). There is loveseat and oversize chair in living area that could also be used if needed.
We would also appreciate that there are no other or extra guests invited to the cabin during your stay.
Recently added a window Air Conditioner so it keeps cabin quite comfy.

If you are wanting to get away from the hustle and experience northern Minnesota then this is the place. Our log cabin is situated in the woods with newly updated windows. Relax in the futon or the full size bed in the loft and eat your meals in the enclosed porch area or enjoy the fire pit outside. If you are wanting to get off the grid then this is the place. The is no indoor plumbing or electricity. There is an external outhouse behind the cabin that is cleaned regularly. We offer use of 2 kayaks to be used on Long Lake or a nearby river. Please communicate ahead of your stay if you are interested in using them. Our cabin provides you peace and tranquillity nestled in the woods yet convenient to Park Rapids and close to the headwaters.

I was new to booking on a website, so did not know to read the "fine print", the description of the cabin as only having an outhouse! I had to use GPS on my phone in order to even find the cabin! There was no visible pathway to it. My wife has MS and nearly fell over a big log in the path. The online photos made the place look very inviting, much better than it actually was. We ended up not even staying in the cabin, had to rent a motel room instead. I communicated our vast disappointment to the owner via text messaging, he offered some other property on the site or somewhere, by this time it was totally dark, and I was not going to travel back to the address and look for it. I requested reimbursement of my money, which he would not do. We were immensely disappointed with the whole process, and that Vrbo would actually list such a site, especially calling an outhouse a bath! Would appreciate a response and any satisfaction from Vrbo. Thank you."

Enjoy this small two bedroom waterfront cabin located just steps from Lower Bottle Lake. A private boat launch is located directly next to the cabin allowing for easy access to launch your boat. Enjoy trying your boat up to the private dock located directly in front of the cabin!

The space

A shallow beach located near the cabin is a great place for you to relax, or for young kids to swim during the sunny Minnesota summers. Don't like the beach area? No worries, head over to the common area with the heated pool.
Lower Bottle is a deep, clear lake that has excellent walleye, northern, bass, and panfishing off the dock. It is connected to Upper Bottle Lake allowing for over 1,100 acres of fishing and boating. If interested in renting a fishing or pontoon boat contact owner. A fish cleaning house is located near the cabin and has all the necessities you'll need to clean your catch of the day!
The cabin is located just 7 miles from Emmaville Inn where you will find a cafe, small grocery store, and gas station. Just down the road from Emmaville is North County Bait where you will find a large selection of bait. If you are looking for a larger grocery store, restaurants, or would like to check out some shops, the city of Park Rapids is located just 12 miles from the cabin. There are over 400 lakes within a 25 mile radius of the cabin.
If you are looking to do something unique during your stay, the Itasca State Park is located is only 21 miles from the cabin. Here you can see the start of the Mississippi River!

In addition, guests are able to venture to the resort's "Riverside Point" where a grassy peninsula awaits on the shores of Fish Hook River. Here, fire pits with inviting benches offer a place to gather and enjoy the beauty of nature, while a dock stands ready for boating or fishing adventures. We provide kayaks, canoes and other small self-propelled water vessels for complementary use (first-come, first served). Firewood can be pre-ordered for $6 per bundle or $8 per bundle on site. Juniper was built in 2017 replacing a cabin at Pine Cone Lodge. It is the original shape of the old cabin but is completely new from top to bottom. This two bedroom home accommodates 5 people. It was design with lots of windows to provide a feeling of sitting on a porch. The upper windows on the west provide privacy from the rest of the resort. This property is not available in the summer. We hope you try out this property at Pine Cone Lodge during the fall, winter or spring.

In addition, the basement of the Main Brick House is a common area offering coin laundry and a game room for all guests of the Resort, providing a fun escape with a pool table, ping pong table, darts, chess and an array of card and board games.
In addition, guests are able to venture to the resort's "Riverside Point" where a grassy peninsula awaits on the shores of Fish Hook River. Here, fire pits with inviting benches offer a place to gather and enjoy the beauty of nature, while a dock stands ready for boating or fishing adventures. We provide kayaks, canoes and other small self-propelled water vessels for complementary use (first-come, first served). Firewood can be pre-ordered for $6 per bundle or $8 per bundle on site. We also have a pontoon available for rent so our guests can enjoy all Fish Hook River/Lake has to offer during their stay!
For the angler at heart, a fish house with running water provides a convenient spot to clean and prepare your catch of the day, while water toys, floaties, life jackets, and beach toys await in the nearby shed, promising endless hours of outdoor fun.

Little Sand is one of the cleanest and clearest lakes in Minnesota, the lake covers 409 acres and has 6.4 miles of shoreline. The lake was formed about 10,000 years ago by the receding ice age glacier that covered Minnesota. The deepest part of the lake is over 80 feet deep.

The cabin has an open concept with fully equipped kitchen opening into dining and living areas. Three bedrooms; downstairs bedroom has a king-sized bed and upstairs primary bedroom has a queen bed and open loft room area has three single beds.
Sleeps 7. Full bathroom downstairs with shower. Upstairs is a half bath.
Front deck has a Weber charcoal grill and picnic table with view of the lake. Included with rental are a 4-person Pedal boat, a paddle board, a single kayak and classic 60's Lund fishing boat with oars only. Feel free to bring your own motor or rent one in town before you arrive.
Many board games and card games for entertainment. Firestick TV with internet access to sign into your accounts for Netflix, Amazon and others.

Charlie's Marine in Park Rapids offers small motors for rent for the fishing boat. Life vests of a range of sizes are available for your use. Bring own fishing equipment.
There are some wonderful walking trails behind the cabin across the road that my neighbors maintain. Feel free to make use of this peaceful wooded paths. Take precautions and use tick and mosquito spray. Also bring your own sunscreen.
Large patio doors open on to the deck. There is a screen door to keep flying insects out, however, should you have small children with you please slide screen door to the side so little ones (or big ones) don't walk through the screen! Believe me, it happens....often.

Fish & Fun Cabin provides an incredible Northern outdoors experience with modern conveniences. Our cabin features fully furnished two bedroom, one bath cabin with large open kitchen/living room area. Deck off the common room opening up to a flat level 30 foot walk to the edge of the lake. Cabin is on Lower Bottle Lake with access to Upper Bottle Lake and Emma Lake. Lakes have wonderful walleye, bass, pan fish, and northern pike available in all sizes. Finish your day with a relaxing bon fire!

The cabin is a single family one story cabin with 652 sq. ft. of finished space. From the deck to the lakefront is about 30 feet level walk. The body of water is Lower Bottle Lake which connects via water to Upper Bottle Lake and Emma Lake. Lower Bottle lake goes as deep as 110 feet in spots. It is an awesome fishing lake for walleye, bass, northern, and pan fish.

This rustic little cabin is located in a resort setting with the lake just steps from your deck and a heated swimming pool behind it. The property sets on 6 acres of North woods serenity. You will have access to the pool, playgrounds, beach & fish cleaning house. There is a boat launch on the property and we include 1 dock space free of charge. You will be able to access Lower & Upper Bottle Lakes for a combined total of 1400 acres.
I do not supply bath towels or toiletries.

Enjoy the water on many of the sand bars. Boat slip available and boat rentals in Park Rapids. Owner has a pontoon right on lake available for renters at $350/day or $2000/week. Winter time sports abound -enjoy snowmobiles and ice fishing, Cross country skiing with trails plus sledding too.
Quaint Park Rapids offers shopping and amenities like restaurants, golf, and parks nearby. Itasca State Park is a renowned park system along the beginning of the Mississippi River not far away.
Onsite parking for up to 3 cars in driveway and 1 boat or bike trailer nearby. No campers are allowed.

There have been dogs in this home. We do have a dog fee and a dog security deposit separate from the rental rate. Owners are responsible for clean up and any damage by their dogs.

We presently have disinfectant cleaners available in the home for guests to use. We are doing our best to clean home thoroughly between guests and wipe down surfaces with disinfectants using the cleaning protocol.

PARKING
Parking is easy with the cabin's very own designated parking space directly in front of the cabin. Up to 2 vehicles can fit in the space. Additional vehicles can park on the North grassy area directly across from the other cabins.
PETS
- Dogs are permitted with prior approval. Cats are not permitted under any circumstances.
- Pre-approval is required. You must provide the age, breed, and weight of your dog(s) when inquiring or booking.
- A pet fee will apply and is based on the information you provide.
- Failure to disclose pets prior to arrival may result in eviction without refund and/or additional charges.
SITE MANAGEMENT
To ensure your stay is seamless and enjoyable, our dedicated site managers are available in Cabin #1 to assist you with any requests, questions, or concerns during your stay.

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire cabin and general outdoor areas of the resort. In addition, the basement of the Main Brick House is a common area offering coin laundry and a game room for all guests of the Resort, providing a fun escape with a pool table, ping pong table, darts, chess and an array of card and board games.
In addition, guests are able to venture to the resort's ""Riverside Point"" where a grassy peninsula awaits on the shores of Fish Hook River. Here, fire pits with inviting benches offer a place to gather and enjoy the beauty of nature, while a dock stands ready for boating or fishing adventures. We provide kayaks, canoes and other small self-propelled water vessels for complementary use (first-come, first served). Firewood can be pre-ordered for $6 per bundle or $8 per bundle on site. We also have a pontoon available for rent so our guests can enjoy all Fish Hook River/Lake has to offer during their stay!
For the angler at heart, a fish house with running water provides a convenient spot to clean and prepare your catch of the day, while water toys, floaties, life jackets, and beach toys await in the nearby shed, promising endless hours of outdoor fun.

PET POLICY
We understand that pets are part of the family, and we're happy to consider allowing your dog to join you during your stay. We do not allow cats. To ensure the comfort and safety of all our guests, we have established the following pet policy:
- Dog Information: Guests must provide the age, breed, and weight/size of their dog(s) when inquiring. Approval is based on this information.
- Approval & Fees: If you dog is approved, an additional pet fee will apply. We will send a separate payment request for this fee upon booking.
- Rules & Restrictions: Dogs must be well-behaved, house-trained, and fully vaccinated. Dogs must be leashed when outside, unless they are in the designated off-leash area. Please clean up after your dog and keep them off the furniture. We reserve the right to decline certain breeds, sizes, or multiple dogs.

This is a lovely, two bedroom and one bath cabin with a very large screen porch, knotty pine interior, and large picture window overlooking Two Inlets Lake. This cabin is cute, comfortable and perfect for 2 to 4 people or even a silent retreat. Located just 60 yards from our resort's private swimming beach.
It's located 10 minutes from the beautiful and adventurous Itasca State Park.
The space
We are one of the finer Park Rapids, MN resorts located near Itasca State Park, on Two Inlets Lake and in Two Inlets State Forest. We are considered a northern Minnesota resort, so you can get away from it all with just a quick four hour drive from Mpls/St. Paul.
We offer 13 individual and privately spaced lake cabins, a sandy swimming beach with water toys, plenty of things to do at your leisure, and an overall laid back and quiet atmosphere.

Walleye, crappie, northern pike, large mouth bass, & bluegill are the most popular in Two Inlets Lake. We also have four sizes of fishing boats & a pontoon available for rent. Dock space for your personal boat is free. Bait can be purchased from the lodge.

Big Sand is one of the areas premier fishing and recreational lakes. 1800 acre lake with 35 foot water clarity, hard pack sand bottom, gradual slope out and no weeds!! Fantastic swimming off the end of the dock. The cabin is a rustic two bedroom with a deck and lakeside fire pit.
The space
Beautiful setting among towering white and red pines, right on the water, with a rustic fire pit overlooking a natural rocky shoreline. This cabin faces west for the best sunset views in Hubbard County. There are no hard-wired phones. The cabin is not handicap accessible, and people with mobility issues will find the steps difficult. There are 35 stone steps down to cabin and waters edge. The cabin is part of an old resort, so there are nearby neighbors and we kindly ask that you respect their privacy if they happen to be in residence.

PONTOON RENTALS
At Timberlane Resort, we offer 2 pontoons for guests to rent on-site from the 3rd weekend in May to the 2nd Weekend of October. The pontoons are capable of pulling tubers and also features AM/FM Radio, plenty of storage and a nice shade canopy so you can comfortably enjoy everything Long Lake has to offer during your stay!

Guests have access to the entire cabin, as well as the on-site pool (9AM-8PM, Seasonal/Weather Permitting), tennis court, basketball court, and general outdoor areas of the Resort. We provide kayaks and other small self-propelled water vessels for complementary use (first-come, first served), and pontoons are available to rent on site for your convenience.
For guests eager to tee off, our resort boasts the beautiful Bear's Den Golf Course, just a short stroll away. Tee times can be booked directly at the Lodge on site, ensuring you have the perfect opportunity to enjoy a round of golf amidst the stunning natural surroundings. Additionally, golf carts are available for rent on site, providing added ease and enjoyment during your golfing experience.

Pets are not permitted at the resort in order to ensure the comfort and safety of all our guests. Guests in violation of this policy will be subject to penalties including a $500 fine and termination of current and future reservations without refund.

Just 3 miles from Itasca State Park and the Mississippi headwaters, this well-appointed, spacious, modern barnhouse cabin is here to cater to your every need. With a short 200 foot walk to the lakefront, enjoy a stunning view from the dock, kayak or canoe on the clear, peaceful waters of Beauty lake. At night, sit by the fire and listen to the loons call, or curl up with a good book by the wood stove.
The space
This modern Scandinavian barnhouse designed home features two bedrooms, one bathroom with shower, and a large open concept living, dining and kitchen space. Spacious and light, with soaring doors and windows, we wanted to let the outdoors in while creating a quiet, modern and well-appointed getaway.
The primary bedroom with king bed walks out onto the lakeside patio with large windows to take in the beauty of the hardwood forest. For guests who need a quiet work space, the secondary bedroom with queen size bed features a private work space.
Enjoy making meals in the large chef's kitchen with plenty of space to prepare a great meal with all the needed utensils and cookware provided with dishwasher, range, microwave, air fryer, toaster, coffee maker, hot water kettle and cooking basics for preparing a meal.
A large, crushed rock patio space offers a fire pit area to relax with seating off the main bedroom to wake up with a cup of coffee in the morning or cocktail in the evening. Enjoy a quiet moment and relax in the large rainfall shower in the morning or after an adventurous day.
Follow the path down to the lake to the dock (in from mid-May to mid-October) and enjoy Beauty Lake, a 55 acre natural environment lake with 26’ visibility and beautiful clear water. Enjoy this gorgeous, quiet lake from the bench seating on the dock, dive off the dock into the pristine waters, or take the canoe for a more extensive tour. In the evening, throw open the doors, listen to the resident loons call and make sure not to miss a show put on by the fireflies before you drift off to sleep.
Other things to note
Our property is situated on Beauty Lake, a small, no-wake natural environment lake. The property and its surroundings are intended to be a quiet, peaceful retreat for all.
For these reasons, guests are not permitted to bring or use motorized watercraft or jet skis on Beauty Lake during their stay. A canoe is provided for guest use. Guests may bring their own canoes or kayaks for use on the lake.

Welcome to Honeybee Lake House, the perfect setting for your “up north” getaway! Our 3-bedroom, 1-bathroom 1950s lake home comfortably sleeps 6 and has been newly updated with modern amenities. The house is only steps from Lower Bottle Lake and boasts an amazing view.
Nestled in the heart of Minnesota lake country, our place is an ideal location for your family vacation, fishing/snowmobiling trip, girlfriends getaway, couples retreat, remote work or simply a relaxing escape from city life.
The space
Our 3-bedroom home can comfortably sleep a maximum of 6 guests, including children. Bedroom 1: King Bed | Bedroom 2: Queen Bed | Bedroom 3: 2 Twin Beds
The living area features a wall of windows with an unbeatable view of the lake and plenty of seating to enjoy it. There is also a 50” TV with built in ROKU for movie nights, a brand new mini-split air conditioner for the summer, and a gas fireplace/stove for those chilly MN winters.
The bedrooms each have new memory foam beds with upgraded bedding, perfect for you to get a restful night’s sleep. Each bedroom also has a ceiling fan and curtains or blinds to keep you comfortable and closet space to store your belongings. There is a desk located in the large lakeside bedroom with a great view of the lake. With the remarkably fast fiber internet (266 mbps Wifi using AirBnB speed test), you can take video calls and stream videos for your whole group.
The kitchen comes fully-equipped and features new stainless steel appliances (including dishwasher), coffee maker, pots/pans, cooking tools, baking pans, and basic ingredients (salt + pepper, olive oil, some spices) to enable you to cook meals for your group. You can enjoy meals at our large dining table which is also great for game nights!
The full bathroom has fluffy towels and basic toiletries (shampoo/conditioner, body wash) as well as space in the vanity and linen closet to conveniently store your belongings out of sight. There is also a new, full-sized washer/dryer available for guest use.
Our property boasts multiple outdoor areas for you to enjoy, including an outdoor cooking/dining area with a gas grill, a fire pit with Adirondack chairs, multiple decks, and a large yard. The lakeside deck is the perfect spot to start your morning watching the sun rise just steps from the shores of Lower Bottle Lake. Seriously, you can’t get any closer!
Guest access
Guests will have private access to the entire 3-bedroom, 1-bathroom home plus outdoor spaces that include multiple decks, fire pit area, private dock and lake access. Uncovered parking for up to 4 vehicles and a trailer is available in designated spaces. Only the detached garage and owner's closet next to the front door are off limits to guests.
You will have access to our two kayaks and 48-foot boat dock. BYOB (Bring Your Own Boat) and use the public boat launch on Upper Bottle Lake or take advantage of the many surrounding lakes.
Our home is on a shared driveway with neighbors on either side. Please be respectful of the property boundaries and observe the quiet hours listed in the house rules.
Other things to note
There are two security cameras located on the exterior of the property – one at the front door and one pointing towards the driveway/garage. There are no interior cameras, and both exterior cameras are pointing away from the house.
Being so close to the lake and in the woods, please understand that you will likely encounter wildlife and insects while staying at our lake house. There are a few families of ducks, geese and swans that frequent the area as well as many loons out on the lake.

A perfect combination of woods and water, our Log Cabin is on nearly 2 acres of forest and features a beach and dock on gorgeous Ojibway Lake.
It’s ideal for families or low-key groups of friends to lounge on the beach, gather around the fire pit, grill, fish, or play on the water. A canoe, 4 kayaks and a paddle boat are provided for our guests.
In the winter, our lake is popular among ice fishers, cross-country skiers, and snowmobilers, with hundreds of miles of trails close by.
The space
We allow a maximum of 6 guests with multiple options for sleeping spaces. There are two bedrooms with king beds, one lofted sleeping area with a queen bed, an office/bedroom with a twin bed, and a bunk room (two twins) adjoining the lower level bedroom (one king or two twins). Excellent for groups of friends or families!
Interior spaces are warm and cozy with lots to do on rainy days including puzzles and games. The kitchen is well appointed with everything you need to make a nice meal. The office/twin bedroom is a great place to work (if you absolutely have to!) and the wifi is lightning-fast.
Our cabin is secluded and quiet, but just a short drive from Dorset, Park Rapids, Nevis and Walker.
All beds, pillows and linens are high-quality and plenty of towels are provided for bath and beach.

Just a few specific notes about our log cabin so you know what to expect, Please read to see if we are a good fit for your group or family!
CHILDREN | Our cabin is great for families but there are a number of open stairways. It is not easily childproofed for very small children or toddlers and it is not designed to be indestructible for rambunctious children. Please look closely at the photos if you are coming with children to determine if the space will be a good fit for your family. We do not provide a high chair or crib so if you need those items you will need to bring your own.
WILDLIFE AND BUGS | We have a regular pest service treat the cabin; however it is a heavily wooded property and there will be wildlife, critters and bugs outside and we can not guarantee that an enterprising spider or ladybug won't make their way inside during your stay!
BOATING AND FISHING | If you wish to bring a boat please contact us; there may be an additional liability wavier required for our floating dock and we want to make sure our lake and dock/beach are a good fit for your boat and boating plans. We call the Loon's nest our upside down house because the main living area is a walk out to the patio, lawn, firepit and lake; while the upstairs is the main rear entrance and has four of the five bedrooms. On the top level; the master bedroom faces the lake and features a king bed, fireplace and tv. The bunk room features two queen sized bunks. Also on the top floor, there are two loft rooms.
