Bed was comforable..pillows were a bit flat but they give you two so that's nice. Staff was great.. we needed to leave early due to weather and they refunded the last night. Coffee pot in room. You can cook waffles if you want for breakfast. Pool was being repaired but looks nice. Saw 4 deer run through the property one morning. Walking distance to town square..near some very good restaurants..try the Walleye tacos at Andys Bar and Grill. Yum. Will definitely stay again."

This property was completely renovated in the fall of 2014 and is essentially like new inside and out. Done in a true cabin feel, Lazy Pines has a wonderful open floor plan on the main level that features a combined great room/kitchen/living room with a large wood-burning fieldstone fireplace for those chilly nights (fire wood included of course!!). The main level features vaulted ceilings and a wonderful screen porch overlooking the lake with panoramic views of beautiful O'brien Lake. The main level further features a lakeside master bedroom and bathroom complete with tile shower. The lower level features an additional bedroom, a second designated bunk room, and an additional informal bunk area along with a second bathroom which also includes a custom tile shower. During the summer, this recreational lake is perfect for fishing, skiing, wake boarding canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding and all water based activities, including floating on an air mattress!! There is a sandbar where you can walk across the lake which is a favorite gathering spot for 'kids of all ages'!! It's location on a quiet tar township road make it perfect for a morning walk or bike ride. For those that like to stay connected or not miss the big game, both the main and guest cabin have high definition TV's with local cable service, and both structures have free Wi-Fi. Our home features a large 3 season porch with attached deck just off the kitchen and master bedroom overlooking the lake, as well as a large sandy beach. A firepit with comfortable hand-made Canadian adorandack chairs is situated between the cabin and lake for bonfires and smores. There are 4 private bedrooms - (3 with 1 king size bed; and 1 room with 1 queen size bed) and 1 open room with 2 bunk beds (twin size beds on top and double beds on bottoms) as well as 2 additional full size beds. The location of this property is minutes from town, shopping and many restaurants.

Our cabin is located on 'Big Trout Lake' connecting to 14 lakes on the Whitefish Chain ready for you to explore.

Big Trout is known for it's pristine water clarity, lake depth and for it's great fishing and swimming.

Our cabin sits on a level shoreline lot allowing everyone to be able to enjoy the lake! There are no steps or steep hills to climb just to get close to the water. Our cabin sits close to the water among the tall pine trees and offers an excellent sandy lake bottom for great swimming and a private dock ready for you to tie up your boat. There is also a beautiful walking, biking and jogging trail just steps away from our cabin that takes you along the scenic Manhattan point.

After a great day on the lake, Cross lake offers many great restaurants either by boat or just a quick drive into town, and Manhattan Beach Lodge bar and restaurant is just a short walk from the cabin.

Cross lake has so much to offer and has golfing for adults and kids, great shopping options, walking or biking paths and many other amenities, and the Brainerd/Baxter area is only approximately 30 minutes away.

After dinner, you will want to enjoy the beautiful sunsets, relax on the deck with a great beverage, or have a great campfire with the fire-pit that sits close to the lake for evening campfires and s’mores!

Our log cabin is clean, well equipped, nicely furnished throughout and is a perfect place to build memories with family and friends.

- "My husband, three adult children, and elderly mother greatly enjoyed our stay at Pinecone Lodge. The house had everything we needed. My mom was able to get around easily on the first floor. (The walk in shower was a must for her due to limited mobility.) We had great times around the campfire and on the dock. The walking/bike trail across the street provided good exercise and the path was pretty, mostly shady, and a good distance. This was a comfortable, clean, and beautiful home in an excellent location. We highly recommend!"

Our completely remodeled lake cabin is ready for a great Summer! The cabin is fully furnished for your comfort and relaxation during your stay Up North. Upstairs there 2 bedrooms, one queen bedroom and the other room has 4 twin bunks. Two bathrooms, One bathroom on the main floor. The walkout basement has large living area, 1 bedroom with full bed and another bedroom with 1 queen bed and 1 full bed, and full bathroom. Enjoy the fantastic view of the lake which has the perfect shallow sandy bottom just feet from our large lakeside patio. Head out on the pontoon to explore all 14 lakes of the Whitefish Chain filled with islands, sandbars & restaurants. Cabin has WIFI!

Just minutes away, the town of Crosslake offers amazing dining, shopping, a grocery store, meat market, liquor stores, gas stations, bait shops, hardware store, golfing, mini-golf, ice cream shops, walking/bike paths, snowmobile trails and lots more.

NOTE: The pontoon is in the water, and use is included in the stated rental rates, from approximately May 1st - mid October.

- "We had a great week on Cross Lake this year! Our kids and grandkids were out on the water and in the water every day: swimming, kayaking, boating, tubing, fishing, boarding. We jumped in a few times, too! The weather was hot and perfect for being in the water, but the house was cool and sitting on the deck in the evening or by the fire just ended the perfect day each day!, An eagle tends to watch over the water right outside the house, so watching the eagles each day never got old. The owners, Craig and Valerie, couldn't have been more accommodating! They have everything supplied in the home that we could have possibly needed, and the rooms are wonderfully decorated with beachy and seascape themes! Cross Lake is just one of many connecting lakes. We only cruised around a couple. Hopefully we can make Cross Lake our annual lake retreat tradition and keep exploring the White Fish Chain! Across the lake is the Cuyuna Boy Scout camp and DNR property which makes for a scenic view as well as limits boat traffic. Also, there is a unique boat house near the dock with beach toys, cooler and various fishing equipment.
