Plus you are minutes away from 3 wonderful golf courses. Julia’s Cottage is close enough to St Cloud or Monticello for shopping and dining, but far enough away to feel like you are on a vacation.
We will be open for winter activities!! Whether ice fishing, snowmobiling(trails are about 1 1/2 miles away and easily accessible) or just wanting to get away!!

- "My family had an amazing time at River Haven! Lots of fun family time playing pool and just hanging out on the amazing deck looking out at the amazing view of the Mississippi. I only wish our hosts could have made the trees all turn their fall colors during our stay! LOL! No seriously though, the hosts were very accommodating and we are truly grateful that we were able to stay at River Haven! " - "We had a great stay at River Haven. The house was clean and plentiful amenities were readily available. The pool table and board games were a great asset for rainy days and fishing was easily accessible on the river. The hosts answered emails and text messages in a timely manner. A little more instruction on using the key code would be helpful and maybe being a little more transparent about the second bathroom being downstairs where no bedrooms are located. The upstairs bathroom was the most convenient and with 5 people staying, it got a bit cramped. Overall, the house was more than sufficient and quite comfortable."

2 bedroom 1 bath cabin on Sugar Lake in Maple Lake, MN. Cabin faces West for beautiful sunset views. Great lake for boating, fishing and relaxing. The property sleeps 6 guests. Rental comes with water toys, paddle boards, fishing poles. Fully furnished, HD television with dvd player, internet. Sugar Lake is spring fed and one of the cleanest lakes in the area with over 10 ft clarity and 1,000 acres. Cabin was remodeled in 2018 with new kitchen, stainless appliances, granite and flooring. Boathouse was rebuilt this year with deck on top. New stairs provide easier access to boat house and lake.

Sugar Lake is located in northern Wright County, approximately five miles north of Annandale. There are two public accesses, one each on the north and south sides of the lake. Sugar Lake was designated for muskellunge management in 1967. With its larger size (1,015 acres), depth (69 feet), and water clarity (10 feet or more), Sugar Lake is one of the outstanding lake resources of the county.

Rustic cabin 75 feet from the Mississippi. Heated outdoor shower open until it freezes outside. This is a converted outdoor structure next to a larger house next to St. Cloud State. It has a wood stove, and in wall electric heater. Oak floors, pine ceiling, recessed lights, tv, microwave, and mini fridge. This is a micro tiny cabin. It has a daybed or a twin over twin. It has an outdoor shower and a bathroom that’s inside the main house. This is truely a rustic cabin. It has a new window air conditioner, WiFi, snd free continental breakfast. I can sweep the place out and the next day there might be a fly in the cabin. It’s rustic.

Use the microwave/ air fryer combo to make a quick snack and grab some drinks from the beverage refrigerator.
The straight stacked backsplash paired with floating shelves puts a modern twist on the rough cut lumber wall.
Custom granite countertops with a waterfall feature add more texture to the space and make a great area for food prep.

The queen sized murphy bed makes a great sleeping space and can be tucked away during the day.
If you choose to leave the blackout curtains open, you will wake up in the king sized bedroom to the sun rising across the south side of the lake shore.
Walk into the bathroom which boasts a professional automatic adjusting mirror that changes with the sun. Turn on the bluetooth speaker that doubles as an exhaust fan as you shower with the dual rain heads in the custom vaulted shower.

Relax and enjoy what the Briggs Lake Chain of Lakes community has to offer! Great fishing year-round (walleye, crappie, bluegill, bass, northern), swimming and water sports. A great park and ice cream parlor just minutes away. Everything “up north” has but with less drive time from the twin cities (approx 1hr). We have 2 kayaks and 2 paddleboards available in the boathouse (please bring your own lifejackets). Each of the lakes has a public boat launch if bringing your own boat and we have a dock you can tie up to.

The cabin is newly renovated to accommodate up to 6 guests overnight (1 king bed , 1 queen bed, extra air mattress and sofa) with plenty of seating inside and out for meals and hanging out. Board games, cribbage and cards are there in case you want to hang out indoors.

The kitchen is fully stocked with the essentials for eating in and has plenty of storage for pantry items if booking a longer stay. A concrete patio just outside the cabin has an area for dining and grilling.

The boathouse features a rec room for hanging out with great views of the water. We have a ping pong table and bags (aka cornhole) for your entertainment. Slide the patio door open so those relaxing on the deck can hear the action. There’s also a fire pit down by the water for evening bonfires (weather permitting).

This property is about .3 miles from public water access and more than enough parking for trucks/trailers. It is located is between a river and a lake so it is common to see animals (frogs, deer, turkey, etc.) in their natural habitat!

The fridge is not hooked up to water, but a bag of ice is put in the ice dispenser for every guest. This listing also has a walk through bedroom to get to the second bedroom.

Less than an hour from Minneapolis, the Loondocks is a sun-soaked, pet-friendly hideout on beautiful Big Eagle Lake. Natural stone steps (NOTE: These are uneven, so do not book if you have mobility concerns!) lead down to the bungalow-style house, a stylish bunkhouse, wood-burning sauna, spacious deck with lake views, and flat waterfront yard. Sip coffee and watch the sunrise, lay out a towel at the end of the dock, or share a meal with the whole family! This is the perfect summer getaway.

With a master king, two queen beds, and four twins, Loondocks guests can bring the whole family! The Loondocks property also includes a beautifully updated bunkhouse, designed with families in mind, and a wood-burning sauna. Equipped with a canoe, lounging tubes, Apple TV, a great collection of kitchen supplies, and kid & dog-friendly features, Loondocks has everything you'd ever need.

You'll have access to the main house as well as a bunk house with two queen beds. This bunkhouse does not have central heating like the main house, but we provide a space heater to keep it warm.

Parking: We only have space for THREE cars. Please make sure you park on either side of the garage. Additionally please be careful to not park on neighbors property with property line being marked with a green electrical box.

A keypad is located on the front door for a simple keyless entry. The entry code will be provided to you the day before your arrival. The code is changed after every guest.

We provide contact-less check-in and check-out but can be easily reached via the VRBO app. We live close by and can be there in a flash. If you have any questions, feel free to reach-out!

Big Eagle Lake is a small community on a 500 acre lake. We're positioned on the peninsula on the west side of the lake, surrounded by a mix of seasonal cabins & year-round neighbors.

The Loondocks is about 10 minutes away from downtown Big Lake, 15 minutes from Elk River, and just under 20 minutes from Monticello.

Our space is NOT a good fit for those with mobility issues.

We have natural, uneven stone steps that lead down the the property from where you park. These are a challenge for those with mobility issues.

In the loft bedroom up the spiral staircase, there is a handrail, but it is a little tight up there. Kids are welcome, but should be supervised if they don't have very good balance.

In an effort to maintain a secure premises, the house is equipped with an exterior camera at the front door and another to keep an eye on the dock. The cameras are ONLY on the exterior, and there are no cameras on the inside.

Enjoy water sports on any of the 3 lakes connected on the Briggs Lake Chain.

The vaulted ceilings make the space large and roomy with exposed beams adding a rustic cabin feel. The soft close cabinets hold any and all dishes you may need for a small or large group.
Use the microwave/ air fryer combo to make a quick snack and then grab some drinks from the beverage refrigerator.
The straight stacked backsplash paired with floating shelves puts a modern twist on the rough cut lumber wall.
Custom granite countertops with a waterfall feature add more texture to the space and make a great area for food prep.

The queen sized murphy bed makes a great sleeping space and can be tucked away during the day.
Air mattresses also available for set up.
If you choose to leave the blackout curtains open, you will wake up in the king sized bedroom to the sun rising across the south side of the lake shore.
Walk into the bathroom which boasts a professional adjusting mirror that changes with the sun. Turn on the bluetooth speaker that doubles as an exhaust fan as you shower with the dual rain heads in the custom vaulted shower.

Fall onto the plush cloud couch in the porch as you snuggle in for a movie after enjoying a warm bonfire on the lake shore after a day of outside play.

Don’t feel like cooking? Head up the street 1 mile to the bar and restaurant on the lake for a great bite to eat with good company!

Forgot an ingredient? Head west one mile on the lake road to the general store which has any/ everything you could need!

In the winters enjoy ice fishing, snow showing and snowmobiling and in the summers enjoy water sports, fishing, and then rinse off in the outdoor shower!

Indulge in the quintessential lake life that Briggs Lake has to offer including fishing year-round, boating, swimming, grilling and relaxing outdoors. The main cabin features two bedrooms and a full kitchen and dining room area. Escape to your own comfortable waterfront cabin less than an hour from the Twin Cities!

The space
Relax and enjoy what the Briggs Lake Chain of Lakes community has to offer! Great fishing year-round (walleye, crappie, bluegill, bass, northern), swimming and water sports. A great park and ice cream parlor just minutes away. Everything “up north” has but with less drive time from the twin cities (approx 1hr). We have 2 kayaks and 2 paddleboards (please bring your own lifejackets). Each of the lakes has a public boat launch if bringing your own boat.

The cabin is newly renovated to accommodate up to 6 guests overnight (1 king bed , 1 queen bed, extra air mattress and sofa) with plenty of seating inside and out for meals and hanging out. A smart TV, Board games, cribbage and cards are there in case you want to hang out indoors.

The kitchen is fully stocked with the essentials for eating in and has plenty of storage for pantry items if booking a longer stay. A concrete patio just outside the cabin has an area for dining and grilling.

The boathouse features a rec room for hanging out with great views of the water. We have a ping pong table and bags (aka cornhole) for your entertainment. Slide the patio door open so those relaxing on the deck can hear the action. There’s also a fire pit down by the water for evening bonfires (weather permitting).

Located on the East side of Lake Julia, you will have front row seating to amazing sunsets. Local area has a general store and you are minutes away from 3 golf courses.

Flat, level access to a private dock. The dock is equipped with bunks to tie your boat to when relaxing at the cottage. Enjoy the lakeside deck while visiting with friends and family or cooking on the Blackstone. We have several restaurants that are close by for the times you don’t want to be the chef! The Briggs Lake Store is a close drive for gas, groceries and even a little bit of shopping. Julia has its own public access to launch your boat. Briggs and Rush lakes are easily accessible through the channel. All 3 lakes are great for fishing, swimming, tubing or just cruising and taking in the views. And if you feel adventurous we have kayaks available.
We are close to the snowmobile trails or bring your ice fishing gear for some wintertime fun!
And if you bring your clubs we have 3 great golf courses to choose from!

There is private parking and room for 3 vehicles. If you have a trailer or need additional parking please let us know in advance and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Other things to note
The dock will be taken out and put back in seasonally. There will not be a set time/date this will be done. It will vary on weather conditions in the fall and ice in the spring.

This home boasts a stunning open layout, complemented by pine wall accents, and features a spacious wrap-around deck. Enjoy fishing from the dock, dipping your toes at the sandy beach cove, or engaging in water sports with your own boat. Our guest book is filled with fishing tales – though the truth of some may be as elusive as the fish themselves. Surrounded by large windows, the main level offers panoramic lake views through 27 of its 31 windows, alongside a kitchen adorned with granite countertops and a double oven.

The PALMER HOUSE carries a rich history, being the first home on Briggs Lake and reputedly the original area trading post. Boards from an early construction, signed and dated 1916 by those who built it, add to its historical allure. The main level features a unique wall covered with wood from an old train caboose, once a prominent feature of the property. Near the front door stands an operational hand pump from the original well, offering a refreshing drink of well water.

Legend tells us that Sinclair Lewis, the first American Nobel Prize laureate, once found solace and inspiration here, contributing to his literary achievements. Overlooking the same splendid vistas and breathtaking sunrises he once did, guests can explore a few of his novels available in the cabin, connecting with a bygone era.
