- "My husband and I loved staying at the cabin for one week. We didn't want to leave! The cabin is set close to the lake with a beautiful view. We spent a lot of time on the lake fishing, swimming, and exploring. We enjoyed having access to various watercraft (i.e. canoe, fishing boat, pontoon boat, paddle board...there were other craft available too). The fishing was quite good (my husband caught several pike). The water was clear and refreshing. The hosts were friendly and responsive. The location is close enough to make trips into town. The cabin is very basic, but had what we needed. I would love to stay here again!"

- "It was a girls weekend!! We had a great time despite the weather not being the best. We made the most of it. The cabin was clean and quaint, just enough room for us. There is very spotty wifi but we were not there to be on electronics. The Pontoon Boat was very nice and we enjoyed our time out on the small lake. The paintings on the walls and in the office are amazing. It would have been nice to have a fire pit at the cabin, however we did use the one on the beach."

This two bedroom cabin overlooking Jasper Lake has a yard and deck, and is surrounded by vegetation for privacy. There is a full kitchen, bathroom, and living room with dining table, two recliners, and a couch. Bedroom 1 has one double bed, bedroom 2 has a double and a twin bed. Outside, the deck overlooks the lake and has a picnic table and extra chairs. There is a gas grill.

Welcome to our Lake Burntside 4 Season retreat. This newer hand scribed 1,700 square foot log cabin on 2 acres of property and 200’ of frontage on the pristine waters of Lake Burntside is only 9 miles from Ely town ctr and minutes to the boundary waters canoe area.

The open plan cabin has a master bedroom and full bathroom on the main level as well as a loft with full bath, sleeping up to 8 in beds. It has a fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, great views and large patio overlooking the lake as well as a new barrel sauna down by the water and dock.

In the summer, use our canoe or keep your boat on the dock as you enjoy fishing, watersports, canoeing and endless water activity on the +7,000 acre Lake Burntside known for its crystal clear waters as well as it’s fishery of Lake Trout, Whitefish, Walleye, Northern, perch and pan fish . For winter, the home is well insulated with heated floors so take advantage of abundant cross country and snowmobile trails (snowmobile trail passes right by property on lake) or enjoy snowshoeing, ice fishing, dogsledding, or just relaxing with hot cocoa or wine in front of the fire. Enjoy fall colors by taking a hike on one of the many trails within minutes of the cabin.

Welcome to our beautiful year round cabin on Eagles Nest Lake, located between Tower and Ely Minnesota. Enjoy fishing, canoeing, kayaking, hiking or just a relaxing swim in the summer. Winter brings ice fishing, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, or snowshoeing right from your back door. What ever the season, you can end your day in our sauna or sit by the fire pit roasting marshmallows while listening to the call of the loons. Cabin has fabulous views of the lake from the dining room, living room and lower level family room. Step out onto the deck from the upstairs living room to enjoy a meal or game.

With approximately 1700 square feet of living space combined on two levels, your group will not feel cramped. Downstairs area includes bedroom with queen size bed and full bathroom. Also a futon and TV in living area, with game table and electric sauna. Walk out to patio with picnic table and BBQ grill. Upstairs includes bedroom with queen size bed, full bathroom, dining area, fully stocked kitchen, including microwave, dish washer, coffee pot, toaster, electric griddle, waffle iron, deep fryer, crock pot and electric roaster. Living area upstairs has gas fireplace, 42 inch HD TV with Dish satellite and DVD player, games and puzzles. Cabin also includes internet with WIFI.

Cabin plumbing is a filtered lake water system, so we recommend guests use bottled water for drinking and/or cooking. There is an electric water cooler for cold water only inside the cabin. This cooler holds the 3-5 gallon jugs. Water is not furnished by owner.

Outdoor amenities include fire pit, lounge chairs, 10ft row boat, (no motor),and 2 canoes all with paddles and various sizes of life vests. We strongly encourage the use of life vests, especially with children and the non-swimmer.

Eagles Nest Lakes #1 and #2 are 730 acres combined, connected by a 75 foot channel. Clarity is 20+ feet with a maximum depth of approximately 76 feet. Fish information can be found on the Minnesota DNR website. Area attractions include Bear Head Lake State Park, Soudan Underground Mine State Park, Ely shopping and restaurants, Fortune Bay Casino, International Wolf Center, North American Bear Center, Dorothy Molter Museum, Kawishiwi Falls, Boundary Waters Canoe area, Ely Golf Course, Miniature Golf, hiking and biking trails, bird watching.

Moose cabin is a rustic log cabin with a kitchen with a water cooler to be filled from outdoor spigot, a dining area, a bedroom with a queen size bed and two twin beds in an enclosed sleeping porch and a nearby bathhouse with hot showers, lavatory sinks, and latrine toilets. Armstrong Lake is west of the cabins and therefore offers nightly sunset viewing at lakeside seating with a firepit for bonfires. Canoes and kayaks are available for use on the lake. A gravel swim beach near the ample lakeside seating provides fun family gathering. Nearby attractions include Wolf and Bear Centers, a mining museum, day canoe trips in the Boundary Waters, hiking or biking on nearby Mesabi Trail, and shopping for gear, apparel or local art in Ely.

Wolf Cabin is Wilderness Wind's smallest and most secluded cabin near the shore of Armstrong Lake. This adorable one bedroom cabin with kitchenette and kitchen table is at the end of the road and is quiet and private but has access to all the amenities of the Wilderness Wind resort. The kitchen sink has a water cooler to be filled from outdoor spigot and a half refrigerator, a stove, and a microwave. Hot showers, lavatory sinks, and latrine toilets are a short walk though lovely birch woods, in the bathhouse. Down the grassy path in front is the swimming area with lakeside seating for sunset viewing, access to canoes and kayaks, and a fire pit for bonfires. This cabin is a special intimate place for a couple looking for a romantic getaway from which to base hiking and biking on the Mesabi Trail and day trip canoeing in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Shopping for apparel, outdoor gear, and local art can be found in Ely as well as some really fine quality dining experiences. Want to get away alone and get in touch with nature and your quiet side? This a great solo cabin for journaling, photography day trips, working on art or planning projects, catching up on your reading, or just plain relaxing in a beautiful natural setting.

Loon Cabin at Wilderness Wind is a rustic log cabin that sleeps four people near the shore of Armstrong Lake in the areas of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. This quaint cabin has a kitchen with water cooler, refrigerator, and stove, a dining area, a bedroom with a queen bed and twin bunk beds, and hot showers, lavatory sinks, and latrine toilets in the nearby bath house. There is seating for guests around a fire pit on the shore of Armstrong Lake. Guests can swim, use the canoes or kayaks to paddle the lake, and use the resort as their base to to take day paddles into the Boundary Waters or hike or bike the nearby Masabi trail, visit local attractions, or shop for outdoor attire and gear and local art in nearby Ely.

This cabin is nestled on a private island in the middle of Shagawa Lake in Ely, MN. from the dock or the sunset spot, you will enjoy expansive views of both sunrises and sunsets coupled with the sounds of waves lapping on the surrounding shores. You will enjoy the simplicity of nature just a short boat ride to downtown Ely and all its attractions. This comfortably furnished and modern cabin has one bedroom with a full bed and an upper loft with two twin beds. The kitchen includes a built in two burner cook top and a propane refrigerator. Equipped with fishing boat with motor, a canoe, a private dock, a gas grill, a state park fire pit, quiet generator or solar power, battery powered shower head and rainwater collection system. Drinking water, bathroom towels, kitchen towels, hot pads, linens, garbage bags and, toilet paper are provided. The cabin has an open format, with blackout curtains and blinds. There is no running water. The bathroom features a compost toilet, and there is a recently built outhouse.

The cabin caretaker will bring you to the cabin upon your arrival. The Grand Ely Lodge provides parking for our guests as well as access to their marina.

The cabin complex is very private, it sits on over 3 acres of land and has over 300 feet of lake shore for you to enjoy on your vacation.

Burntside Lake is considered the most beautiful lake in Minnesota. This vary large lake has crystal clear water, many cabin owners drink the water right out of the lake. The lake has many miles of undeveloped lake shore and over 200 islands fill the large lake. The lakes northwest shore is adjacent to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, with direct access into the BWCAW available.

We are located 7 miles form the village of Ely Minnesota. Ely is one of the Midwest's vacation hubs, centered in the heart of the Superior National Forest and Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW).

The Ely area is able to provide almost everything you need in the way of services and products, shopping, entertainment and attractions such as many nearby outstanding (nationally rated) golf courses, the International Wolf Center, the North American Bear Center, the large Native American Casino, shopping in Ely's many unique gift shops and the area's many restaurants along with all the various outdoor activities.

Build over 80 years ago, the cabin constructed on the lakes edge, provide wide views of this spectacular lake. The log cabin has two bedrooms, a double bed in one and two twin beds in the other, with a rollaway bed available. Occupancy is 5 persons. Extra people sleep in the screen house. All linens and towels are provided. The log cabin has a half bath; the shower is located in the sauna/bath house. The sauna has a dressing/setting room and large wood heated sauna bathing room, wood for the sauna is provided. The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas range, large refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker, plus cookware, dishes and utensils. There is Dish TV. Outside is a gas BBQ and picnic table on the patio. There is no phone or internet service at the cabin. Cell phone signal is picked up for Verizion phones in front of the garage, top of the hill located at the drive way entrance into the property.

Watch the loons on the lake and listen to them talk to each other. There is a wide variety of wild life on the land and traveling though it, duck, eagles flying over the cabin, I have seen Moose walk around the cabins, deer are present as they like eating the ceder trees, rabbits, red fox, squirrels, chipmunks, many variety of birds.
Did I mention there are a lot of fish in Burntside Lake to be caught by fisherman and fisherwoman.

Grandkids (ages 7,4) enjoyed the freedom of running around outside by themselves, finding frogs and bugs, etc. Absolutely beautiful setting. Enough room around it to feel it is not your typical cabin rental - you can't see another cabin or person from your perch in the house. It's rustic and minimal and that's just the way we like it. The sauna was a big draw for us since it was on the chillier side this year. The dock is perfect, you can cannonball right off of it into the clean waters of Burntside. Cabin was tidy, linens nice, and it had everything we needed to cook. We will be back, this is a gem."

This charming cabin, only 19' from the Shagawa Lake shoreline, was recently remodeled with guest comfort in mind. It welcomes you with panoramic windows for beautiful lake views from the open concept main room that includes the kitchen, living room, and dining area. New appliances, gas fireplace, washer and dryer, walk-in shower, bedding and towels allow our guests to focus on vacationing.

The cabin has two bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and the other with two twin beds. In addition, the living room has a comfortable queen size pull-out bed.

Enjoy a delicious cup of SK Coffee, a variety of teas, or a cup of hot cocoa, complete with marshmallows, as you take in a glorious sunrise. The kitchen is stocked with all the tools you need to prepare your meals. In addition to the electric range, the chef will appreciate the choice of gas or charcoal grilling. Reliable WiFi is provided for those working remotely.

Outside, a fire pit surrounded with six chairs will provide hours of fun. Imagine the tall tales of the day spent fishing, your family reconnecting as you enjoy a favorite beverage and food while the kids play along the shore, or quietly relaxing while the waves lap on the rocks and a loon's cry can be heard in the distance while the fire crackles and snaps.

Shagawa Lake is known for its great fishing, ice fishing, snowmobiling, and dog sledding. During summer a dock is available for our guests (boat not included). The cabin is peaceful and provides the feeling of being away from it all, yet it’s only a ten minute drive to the city of Ely. The county road where the cabin is located is part of the ATV/UTV trail system and at the south end of the legendary Echo Trail leading to multiple Boundary Waters Canoe Area entry points. Snowmobilers can access trails and the lake straight from the cabin’s parking area. (Trucks not allowed on the lake.)

Stay on your own 2 1/4 acre private island on beautiful Burntside Lake near Ely, Minnesota. One of the country's most beautiful lakes, studded with approx. 125 islands and ringed with coves and bays. Water sports paradise: swimming, snorkeling, canoeing, boating and fishing. A deep water lake of over 7000 acres. Fishing centers around Walleye, Northern Pike, Smallmouth Bass & Lake trout. Lake Trout & Walleye have been stocked by the DNR for decades and there is a healthy population of each.

The cabin is hand scribed logs from the Isabella area and constructed in 1984. (the outhouse is also constructed of hand scribed logs). The main level has one bedroom, kitchen, dining area, 'bathroom' consisting of a small vanity and shower, and the main living area with a wood burning stove. The area above the living area is open to the vaulted ceiling. The loft is open to the living area and has a double and single bed.

The island was 'spared' from logging in the early 1900's due to size, therefore we have first growth red pines. BEAUTIFUL!

Watch & listen to loons and ducks swim by. View sunrises and sunsets from one of the three decks. If you're lucky, you can view Aurora Boreallis from the dock.

We have an outdoor firepit for campfires or cookouts.

Since 1984 our family has enjoyed the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. Our private 4.5 acres w/1200' of lakeshore reminds us of some of the most beautiful BWCA campsites that we have stayed at.

Nordico Point aims to provide a similar experience for those who still desire a wilderness experience but no longer want to portage or sleep on the ground. And paddling is 100% voluntary.

PS - you can launch a boat, too - small boat(16ft max - just no wake board boats allowed;)

We offer Nordico Point on the BWCA "Leave No Trace" motto. This means, we do not provide bedding, toilet paper or any cleaning supplies or clean-up.

Our aim is to provide a similar experience to the Boundary Waters but w/o the portaging or sleeping on the rocks part - if you know, you know;).

But this does mean you bring your own sleeping bags and all materials needed, including cleaning supplies, towels & toiletries to be self sufficient(yep, means Toilet Paper, too - just like the BWCA).

Moose Lake is excellent for fishing and swimming; children love jumping off our docks. While we don’t have a pool, the lake provides plenty of fun and refreshment. As part of Vosburgh’s Custom Cabin Rentals, Tanglewood guests enjoy the benefits of a full-service resort—including access to the dock, boat house, fish cleaning house, daily garbage pickup, and helpful on-site support. Starlink WiFi is available in the boathouse, though the cabin itself offers a chance to unplug and enjoy limited cell service in a peaceful Northwoods setting.

Weekly cabin rentals include a 16-foot Lund fishing boat with swivel seats. Guests are welcome to bring their own 25 hp motor or less, or rent a 25 hp electric start/trim motor for $375 per week or $75 per day. Daily boat rentals are available for $35. Depth finders, trolling motors, canoes, and live bait are also available to rent.

The cabin is available from May through October. Linens and blankets are provided; guests should bring their own kitchen and bath towels. Pets are welcome but must be supervised and not left unattended in the cabin. No smoking is permitted indoors. Additional state and local taxes not collected by VRBO will be due at check-in. Minimum stay requirements may apply during peak seasons.
