We did feel the warm cabin vibe but overall the property is tired and desperately needs updating for some folks with higher standards. Tons of potential due to location."

New for 2023, Starlink Internet with Smart TV's and new, comfortable beds throughout! - "L&S Lodge was a great place to stay on Eagle Lake. The bedrooms and beds were very comfortable. The kitchen appliances and pots and pans where good. The bottle water dispenser was great. Never know what then water quality will be when going some place new. We emptied then bottle in a few days, a text to Joanne and she replaced it that morning while we were fishing. The regular tap water was also good. The dock for boats was very nice, the boat bumbers on dock protected the boats. The fish cleaning station right up by then cottage was great and lighted for night time cleaning. The disposal of fish was very good, just put them on rocks and the eagles and seagulls cleaned them up in less than a hour. One morning we had 5 eagles right in front of cottage carrying them away. Would rent this place again."

We are located on Trans Canada Highway about 60 km from Upsala in the South and 60 km from Ignace in the North. Due to the proximity to Lake and Highway, you may hear vehicle sounds Please have some bug repellents in case you wish to take a stroll around Lake.

- "Lots of dead bugs in room. Toilet works poorly. Ripped windows screens. Carpet dirty. No hair dryer or A/C. TV doesn't work." - "I can't say enough about the staff who were accommodating and very personable. We were made to feel very welcome. We arrived at a late hour and were met with a positive experience. The location was conveniently placed along the trans can and had beautiful grounds. The rooms were dated, but clean. The beds did leave a bit to be desired in the way of comfort, and there was no top sheet or additional bedding. The lock on the door made me a bit nervous as it was no more than a simple bathroom style lock. The chain lock was broken. I feel with a little TLC, this property could be easily elevated."

- "Truly a hidden gem. Home is beautiful with gorgeous veiw. Host was very helpful! Thank you for a wonderful time away." - "The property was very comfortable, we had 9 people. Each couple had there own room or area, up stair loft area that could sleep 7 people. Main floor had 2 bedrooms with Queen beds, exposed walkout basement with twin beds, all spacious areas. The two bathrooms gave plenty of privacy. The rest of house was roomy with couches and recliners . Kitchen was very roomy with nice appliances, also in out building there was another refrigerator for drinks and frozen fish. The dock area had power for charging boats at night. Access to your boat was good, docks very stable. Also they are very protected from waves. We had 4 boats plenty of room. The fish cleaning house was nice at night. Would recommend this place. We will be going back next year."

My cabin is close to Sioux Lookout yet it is quite private. A beautiful, peaceful and natural setting…you’re surrounded by the beautiful blue water of Abram Lake and 4 acres of red and white pine trees. Access to golf, fishing, beaches and the amenities of town only 25 mins away. There are games, and dvd’s on site for the rainy days and there is also a sauna. The cabin is rustic and not a 5 star hotel but this is what makes it special. The property is somewhat “rugged” (for small kids).

The space
Located on 4 1/2 acres at the end of a cottage road. 25 min drive to town or a short boat ride. There are 3 bedrooms, 5 beds, 2 fridges, a stove, bbq, an indoor and outdoor shower, indoor compost toilet. A separate area for kids to watch movies play games etc.

Guest access
I use this cottage myself during the summer land rent it out periodically. There will be some of my personal belongings in the cabin. There is an option to only rent a part of the cabin leaving me one room with a separate entrance although I’ve never shared the space.

Other things to note
I work out of town so may have to introduce you to the place a day after your arrival. There is no cleaning fee so I require that the cabin will be left clean before you leave. It is a cabin, not a home. There is no internet but there is cell service and personal hotspot is available. Because of its rustic nature, you may encounter mice mouse in the mouse traps. You may also see harmless garter snakes. Maybe a moose if you’re lucky!

The Hill House is an executive suite, nestled in the trees on a rise of quiet, secluded neighbourhood overlooking Abram Lake. The cabin is very private, yet only 10 minutes to downtown. This newly renovated cabin has a modern custom made kitchen, and a beautiful wood stove, and large private deck for suntanning, lounging or cooking on the bbq. New stone patio.
Enjoy a 55" flat smart tv and the fastest wifi offered in the area. Enjoy the large spacious Italian tile shower.

The space
Your cabin is just in the driveway with a parking space large enough for two or 3 vehicles. When you arrive you will see a green cabin with a red door. Should you arrive after dark your steps will be lit. This open concept cabin is spacious with a large patio doors onto the very private deck and stone patio. There is a custom made large amply stocked kitchen and a custom tiled bathroom.

Guest access
Plenty of parking on site and a short 700 meter walk to a public boat launch. Although there is no water access, you have a view of the water and a forest feeling at the same time.
