The outdoor space features over 300ft of shoreline, private dock and expansive stone patio. Swim, fish, canoe, kayak, paddleboat or simply enjoy the view. During winter, enjoy direct access to snowmobile trails, ice fishing, and more. The cottage accommodates up to six guests with two cozy bedrooms, a full kitchen, and a well-appointed bathroom.

Just a short 7-minute drive from downtown Ely, the cottage combines the tranquility of lakeside living with the convenience of nearby amenities.

The Property
The outdoor space is one of the cottage's main attractions, offering a range of activity along the 300+ feet of shoreline. The private dock is perfect for fishing, swimming, or simply enjoying the serene lake views. Boating enthusiasts will appreciate the easy access to the water. Canoes are available for guest use. The expansive stone patio is perfect for grilling and outdoor dining or simply enjoying a morning cup of coffee while taking in the serene lake views. At night, build a campfire, enjoy s’mores and watch the moon dance on the lake. Jump on your boat for a family day at Semers Park or dinner at the Grand Ely Lodge. The park has a public dock, and the lodge marina offers boat docking for patrons of the lounge or restaurant. There is a private hiking trail to spectacular views, directly behind the cottage. Explore 10 plus acres!

For those visiting during the winter months, the cottage offers direct lake access to snowmobile trails, making it an ideal base for exploring the area. Ice fishing, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing are popular activities. Book a dog sledding or guided ice-fishing experience into the BWCA, outdoor fun in the winter season is endless.

The Cottage
The cottage comfortably accommodates up to six guests, with two cozy bedrooms, full kitchen, living, and dining areas. The single bathroom is well-appointed with modern fixtures and stocked with essential toiletries for a comfortable stay. Each bedroom is thoughtfully furnished to ensure a restful night's sleep, with queen beds, plush bedding and ample storage space for personal belongings. If you have a couple little ones along, the sofa and love seat offer optional sleeping space. The kitchen provides all you need for cooking and dining. Coffee lovers will enjoy the convenience of Keurig and drip coffee makers. There is also a washer and dryer for guests to use.

Living room has a fully functioning, comfortable futon that can sleep 2 more guests This cabin includes a Adirondack chairs, picnic table, charcoal grill and a campfire ring. Located 17 miles north of Ely Minnesota on the infamous Echo Trail. This two-bedroom lakefront log cabin has a history of its own. Big Lake is a remote wilderness lake with fishing, hunting and sunsets galore. A sandy beach is located within a short walk to the lake. This area has been designated as a DARK SKY AREA and QUIET SPACE
The great room features a vaulted ceiling, Northwood’s style log furniture, flat screen television with ROKU and a complete kitchen. This cabin has a full bath with a tub and shower. Each of the two bedrooms have a king bed. There is extra sleeping in the living area with a full-size futon. A small boat dock, sun deck with Adirondack chairs, picnic table, charcoal grill and campfire ring are all provided at your cabin. This cabin is rated for 4 guest sleeps up to 6. A wood fired Sauna is within walking distance from the cabin.
An Aluminum Canoe/paddles and Life Jackets Available are included for use. For BWCA trips a Kevlar canoe can be rented as well.

The master bedroom has a king size bed, air conditioner, an en suite with double sinks, tub and shower. The second bedroom has a queen size bed, bedroom three has bunk beds and all bedrooms have their own flat screen television and DVD player. A boat dock, Adirondack chairs, picnic table, and gas grill are all provided at the lodge. You will have a beautiful view of Big Lake and the best sunsets you have ever seen!
