The resort was quiet but people hanging out at the beach or fisherman taking their boats early in the morning. The pool and spa were used a few times. It should open early. The kitchen and dining were stocked to meet our needs. Beds were comfortable. We grilled out but needed to buy charcoal. I definitely will return!"

We’re doing a complete remodel of our Otter Place cabin located on the southwest shore of beautiful Lost Lake. This 2BD, 1BA cabin accommodates up to 6 guests.

The attached deck will be a great place to lounge outside and enjoy the beautiful nature and animals of the Northwoods. There's a charcoal grill and picnic table for outdoor cooking/dining, and a large wooden swing for you to enjoy. You'll have your own fire pit with 4 Adirondack chairs...FREE firewood provided.

Otter Place has a private dock. The swimming area out front of the cabin is sandy and great for swimming.

An aluminum rowboat is provided with this rental property. The boat is licensed so you're able to bring/rent a motor and add it, if you'd like. Feel welcome to use the 2 kayaks w/paddles. Possible pontoon boat available to rent during your stay. Inquire if it is available.

Connect to the famous Bo-Boen Snowmobile Trail and the St. Germain ATV Club Trail at the end of our private road. We also provide direct access to the lake in the winter for snowmobilers. There is plenty of parking space to accommodate your trailers, too.

Guests who enjoy fishing will appreciate the remodeled fish cleaning house on the property with its 10' stainless steel sink and running water. It's available to our guests year-round...whether fishing in the summer or ice fishing during the winter season.

Have a large group wanting to rent? In addition to our Otter Place cabin, we also own the cabin next door…Gone Fish Inn (completely remodeled in 2019), and the lake house two doors down…Whitetail Ridge (newly constructed in 2018). Our current guests are given the first opportunity to rebook for the following year so if you're interested in starting a yearly tradition, Otter Place, Gone Fish Inn, and Whitetail Ridge are great places to choose for your family vacation. Most of our guests have been coming since day one!

The property was very clean and had everything we needed. The backside of the home is on a dead end road which was nice for our kids to play outside. The dock is close to the boat landing so it was super easy to get our boat in and out and to go park our truck right back behind the house before we left on the boat. The view was amazing and we enjoyed sitting on the front porch having our morning coffee. We even had a little chipmunk visitor. There were also deer behind the home and we were lucky enough to see a doe and her two fawn. Check in was super easy and the host was very helpful and responded immediately to my questions. Newly furnished, carpeted and partially renovated cabin is nestled in the woods on the Wisconsin River, this spacious two bedroom, two bathroom home welcomes you to explore the North woods. Whether it`s water sports, trail riding, biking, hiking swimming, fishing, day trips to local area communities; fun will be had by all.
This two bedroom can easily accommodate 8 people comfortably without feeling overcrowded.
The driveway can accommodate 6 parked vehicles or up to 3 vehicles with trailers

Two large bedrooms and two full bathrooms that can easily accommodate groups up to 8 without feeling overcrowded. The large living room with oversized picture windows make it feel like nature is being brought indoors. The outdoor living space with the deck overlooking the Wisconsin River is a perfect compliment for that early morning coffee or twilight nightcap with an outdoor dinner. A campfire ring for cooking marshmallows finishes up the day. The large circle driveway with ample parking to accommodate trailers. The house also has Wi-Fi, DVD player with access to Netflix, Charcoal grill, Canoe with oars and life preservers and laundry facilities.

Guests have access to the entire house with the exception of the large pantry and limited access to the garage. We have a 16 ft. canoe with paddles and life preservers. Also there are 6 inner tubes to use on the River.
The garage is used seasonally to store owner`s personal items and recreational vehicles. The driveway and parking is enough to accommodate 6 parked cars or 3 vehicles with trailers

I can be reached through email, text, phone or through Airbnb messaging system. I do my best to respond within minutes and try not to be very far from access to communication tools if you have any questions. There may be times when I may be in areas where there is no access to cellular service or Wi-Fi coverage. If I don`t respond in 30 min. it usually indicates I`m out of service areas.

Walking distance to ATV/Snowmobile trail. 10-15 min. walk to local area bars and eateries, convenience store and gas station. Wisconsin River in the back yard. Other nearby communities within an hour Drive includes Land `O Lakes 10 min. Eagle River, and Watersmeet 15-20 min Three Lakes, Boulder Junction, and Rhinelander are a 40 min. Minocqua is 45 min.

There is no public transportation to or from this cabin.

I will email a guideline and information packet prior to your arrival which will help answer questions you may have about the property and help to make your arrival and stay smooth and enjoyable.
We are `well trained` dog-friendly as well! We ask for a 2 dog limit, under 50 lbs, no barkers. We ask that you practice our `4 on the floor` policy. No pets in or on beds, or furnishings as we do have guests who have pet allergies.
Please clean up after your pet as well when doing their outside business.
If you do have to leave the dog while you are staying, we ask that dogs are kenneled at that time. Under no circumstances are dogs to be left unattended in the home. This is of course to ensure there is no damage caused by the dog.
We understand that it can be scary and uncertain for them to be in an unfamiliar place.

Everything was as described, the kitchen was stocked with essentials like baggies, dishwashing soap, napkins, etc. There was plenty of toilet paper for the week. We have stayed at a place where the previously mentioned did not happen, which is why I think it is worth mentioning! My only recommendtion would be to get a ladder for the dock to be able to get in and out of the river, unless it was there and we just missed it! HIGHLY recommend this home and it's owners! The cabin has central A/C for those hot, humid days and forced air heating for days that are colder. The cabin is equipped with a backup generator so no need to worry about power outages during your stay. Enjoy the 42" flat screen wall-mounted TV with YouTube TV, Netflix & Prime services, and the FREE Spectrum Ultra Wi-Fi (up to 600 mbps) provided for our guests.

Gone Fish Inn has a private dock. The swimming area out front of the cabin is sandy and great for swimming.

An aluminum row boat is provided with this rental property. The boat is licensed so you're able to bring/rent a motor and attach it, if you'd like. Feel welcome to use the 4 kayaks w/paddles and the paddle boat (shared use with our Whitetail Ridge lake home next door). Possible pontoon boat available to rent during your stay. Inquire if available.

Gone Fish is located on both the UTV/ATV trail and the Bo-Boen Snowmobile Trail. Our winter guests can directly access the lake at our property next door when heading out snowmobiling or ice fishing. The Bo-Boen Snowmobile Trail crosses over Lost Lake so you're able to connect to it nearby on the lake or right at the end of our road. You can also sled into town or head north to connect to hundreds of miles of groomed trails throughout the Northwoods.

Guests who enjoy fishing will appreciate the remodeled fish cleaning house next door with it's 10' stainless steel sink and running water. It's available to our guests all year round...whether fishing in the summer or ice fishing during the winter season.

Have a large group wanting to rent? In addition to Gone Fish Inn, we own the lake house next door…Whitetail Ridge (newly constructed in 2018) and Otter Place (completely remodeled 2025).

Pets are considered at Gone Fish Inn for an additional fee of $150 per dog (with a max of 2 dogs) on a case by case basis. Undisclosed pets will be charged a minimum cleaning fee of $200 per dog.

Surveillance Devices - There are 3 cameras mounted (outside only) on the cabin and are used for security purposes only. Neighboring properties also have outside cameras. There is a sign posted as you enter the grounds stating there are surveillance cameras in use.

The 'Timber Wolf Lodge' is a northwoods rental unit constructed new in June of 2004. It is a two bedroom, two bathroom unit with an upstairs loft providing additional sleeping space. Both bedrooms have a queen size bed. It is a very spacious rental lodge and also offers a sleeper sofa in the living room. Kitchen appliances and accessories, WIFI, Cable TV, DVD player, Bluetooth Sound Bar and microwave are included. This northern Wisconsin rental lodge also has a beautiful fireplace, snack counter with bar stools and its own private deck with patio furniture and grill. Sorry, but no pets are allowed.

The Timber Wolf is fully winterized and is available to all fans of winter beauty and activity. The snowmobile trail is right out the front door!

We have three quaint and cozy cabins that each comfortably sleep four.

Each cabin has been renovated inside and out with new, knotty pine bathrooms and updated appliances.
The newly installed heaters will readily take the chill off cool mornings as you awake to the soft rustling of leaves, waves lapping the shoreline and the call of loons. Big Saint Germain Lake is one of the premier fishing lakes in northern Wisconsin. You can find lake details on the Wisconsin DNR website.
Although we do not have a private boat launch the public boat launch is just 1/5 mile to the west of us.

There are several restaurants around Buckatabon Lake and only a 20 minute drive to Eagle River with everything else you could possibly need.

Deer Ridge has a knotty pine interior with comfortable sofa, rocking chair and leather chair. A table and 4 chairs shares a corner of the living room. The TV is wall mounted above the fireplace. The cabin sleeps up to 5 people. The galley kitchen is fully equipped (don't forget to bring your own food!). There are two bedrooms, with a queen and twin in the master and two additional twin beds in the second bedroom. The queen bedroom features a sink or wash basin in addition to the bathroom with a single stand up shower.

Our property offers a Peaceful Getaway in a Resort Setting on a Quiet Lake. "Retreat B" is one of 5 units in the A-frame building and faces south-west for sunsets and a nice view of the lake (approx 200 feet away). The first floor consists of kitchen, dining & living spaces plus a full bath with vanity, toilet & bathtub. The second floor consists of a loft bedroom with a queen size bed on an elevated platform. The attached elevated deck has 4 outdoor chairs and a small charcoal grill. Note: There are some common walls toward the back of the unit and you *may* hear others at times. Under new ownership since 11/13/2020 and new management since 01/24/2021.

Each individual unit is fully lockable and the interior space and private attached deck is for your use only. The grounds, lake frontage, piers & camp fire pits are shared space with other guests. The property has 100' of lake frontage with 2 piers for fishing and boat dockage and 2 fire pits. There are also 2 kayaks, 2 row boats & a canoe for our guests' use - all on a first come first serve basis.

This historic home was built in 1887 as one of the first residential homes of a the city. It has the charm of the living hands that built it, with some modern amenities added.

You’ll find laundry in the full-size bathroom, a small kitchen space, a living room with a workspace, and a cozy, very quiet bedroom.

The total interior square footage of the space is about 400 feet. Outsize, you’ll find a private entrance with access to the a cute, shared vineyard-like patio area.

The gardens are still being planted, with an additional part of the city vineyard being replaced this year - should be in full foliage in early July.

Our property offers a Peaceful Getaway in a Resort Setting on a Quiet Lake. "Great Location", "Amazing Views", "Clean", "Cozy", "Perfect", "Peaceful", "Comfortable", and "Relaxing" are what we repeatedly hear from our guests after their stay. The Heart of Vilas County Bike Trails and numerous Hiking trails are just minutes away. The #5 Snowmobile/ATV trail runs across the front of the property along Hwy 51 and we are surrounded by many area lakes and the Northern Highland State Forest.

The space
"Retreat C" is one of 5 units in the A-frame building and faces north-west for sunsets and a nice view of the lake (approx 200 feet away). The first floor consists of kitchen, dining & living spaces plus a full bath with vanity, toilet & bathtub. The second floor consists of a loft bedroom with a queen size bed on an elevated platform. The attached elevated deck has 4 outdoor chairs and a small charcoal grill. Note: There are some common walls toward the back of the unit and you *may* hear others at times. Under new ownership since 11/13/2020 and new management since 01/24/2021.

Each individual unit is fully lockable and the interior space and private attached deck is for your use only. The grounds, lake frontage, piers & camp fire pits are shared space with other guests. The property has 100' of lake frontage with 2 piers for fishing and boat dockage and 2 fire pits. There are also 2 kayaks, 2 row boats & a canoe for our guests' use - all on a first come first serve basis.

Other things to note
On site parking for one vehicle is provided with each unit. Additional spot(s) may be available. And we have dock space at our piers to accommodate our guests' boats. Please confirm with us if you will be bringing more than one vehicle and/or a boat/trailer, etc.
