We have undergone a complete restoration and renovation - bathrooms are new with stone and granite. Kitchens have high end stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. Original floors, doors and woodwork are refinished. Each unit has a washer and dryer.
The yard is lovely, and we have outdoor tables and a grill.
Be sure to bring your bikes! We are located directly across the street from the 0 mile marker for the Brown's Creek Trail. If you haven't been on this trail, you are in for a treat! It meanders through the woods and bluffs, crossing the creek in a number of spots.
Our yard also abuts a set of the infamous "Laurel Street Steps" - a walk up these steps takes you directly into Pioneer Park, where the photo ops are amazing.

The use of our spa is available from march through November for an additional $30.00 per night. Spa hours are 9am to 10pm daily.

This is a beautiful, cozy apartment! There is a queen size bed in the master and king bed in the second bedroom, so up to 4 guests can sleep comfortably. It is located in a residential area that is less than two miles from downtown Stillwater, right in the St Croix River valley. Close to everything you could need and want while visiting the area. With so many b&b/hotel offerings in the River Valley, you should choose the best one that fits all of your needs instead of picking one that "sort of" works. I want you to have a great time, enjoying our amazing loft in a fantastic location, in our amazing little town, that fits your expectations. So, please be aware this space may not be the best fit for you in regard to the following list of quirks below. In full disclosure-

+ NOISE: There is a low speed fan in the loft that runs 24/7 as part of the buildings ventilation system. It cannot be turned off. Most guests have not had an issue with this noise, but you may wish to bring earplugs just in case!
+ STREET NOISE: Although the floor is soundproofed to prevent noise coming up from the bar, you might hear a quiet bass drum from time to time and you will definitely hear the lively noise from Main St below your window. With the convenience of being right on Main Street and all it has to offer, so does the noise that comes along with staying directly above a thoroughfare. Motorcycles are loud, bachelorette parties are loud, you will definitely hear live music during patio season. It adds to the excitement of being right on Main Street unless you are someone who wants it dead quiet! So please take that into consideration before booking.
+ SOFA: The sofa isn't meant for sleeping. If you book the apartment with plans for a 5th person to sleep on the sofa you will be disappointed.
+ VISITORS: No more than 3 extra visitors are permitted in the building at any given time.
+ TV: There is no cable or local free channels. Log in to your own pre-paid streaming accounts.
+ RESTAURANT ACCESS: There is no direct access to the restaurant from the apartment, for your safety and ours.
+ DISCLAIMER: With a the charm and history that comes with one of the oldest buildings in Stillwater (and MN for that matter), so do some quirks. The brick used is the original “Ohio Brick” from the 1800’s and they are meant to “breath”, letting moisture in and out, expanding and detracting in the cold and warm weather that Minnesota is known for. This means you might catch some crumbles or brick dust. We maintain these bricks with the help of Minnesota’s Historical Society and replace them on a need basis. Please be aware and be gentle with them.

- "Beautiful place, view and city! We really enjoyed it." - "This is a gorgeous property. Very well thought out and appointed. High end furnishings and my husband grew up on a farm and loved that there was a lot of original wood and details from the grain bin. The location can't be beat. Right on the river and closet to bars and restaurants.... so close that on the weekends we could appreciate some of the live music in the unit itself. We didn't let it bother us. We did notice there was a large group in the other unit in the grain bin but it's quite well soundproofed inside and we didn't hear a peep from them. We could walk to all our dinner and spa reservations and shop up and down main street no problem. We did park right next to the rental in the designated spot, no problem. The stairs were not a problem for us, in fact we loved the views on the patio and a bit of exercise at the end of the day. However, there are a LOT of stairs so if you have bad knees this is not the rental for you. Overall this was one of the best places we have stayed. We absolutely loved it."

The location really couldn’t be better being in historic downtown Stillwater, just a short walk to all the downtown shops and restaurants. The amenities were thoughtful and included a well-stocked kitchen to a comfortable bed with different pillow options. The host made everything so easy with contactless check-in, clear communication, and a helpful welcome guide with their contact info readily available. The space itself was one of the cleanest rentals we’ve ever stayed in and was beautifully designed to honor Stillwater’s Victorian charm while providing all the modern comforts. The tasteful decorations and attention to detail truly made the stay memorable. Plus, the neighborhood was so quiet, making it easy to relax and feel at home. Having a dog and telling them, I was not told I couldn’t use the yard ,garage,or driveway until I got the keys. I ask for the last two weeks of my stay as I left the next morning.I willing to pay until the May14 but the rest I want payed back. They shouldn’t be on VRBO not the guality you guys are about. I will NEVER stay at any of there properties and will tell anyone BEWARE! We’ve been using VRBO for the last four years going everywhere and have never had an experience like this before. A fully furnished two bedroom, one bathroom spacious upper level duplex (must go up one flight of stairs). Includes two queen beds, living room with large smart tv, dining room, full kitchen, desk, tv in bedroom, in-unit washer & dryer, and relaxing three-season porch. The neighborhood is quiet and residential. You will find the essentials for long term living in the apartment. The Kitchen has all utensils you will need to cook. It now comes with access to one garage stall (which is shared with other tenants). If traveling with a well behaved pet, please inquire before booking.

All utilities including Wi-Fi are included. Unit has many updates including fresh paint, new lights, and new flooring. No smoking.
