Welcome to your home away from home! This stunning 2000 sq. ft rustic waterfront log home has gorgeous hardwood flooring, sleep loft and expansive vaulted cathedral ceilings. Sitting on the edge of paradise, enjoy incredible sunsets & bird/river-life watching from the spacious deck overlooking the Mississippi. Bring your fishing gear and/or binoculars for watching local wildlife inclusive of eagles, hawks, and so much more! Your senses will be delighted!
The main level of our home features a large outdoor deck, multiple gathering areas with oversized leather sofa, chairs, long rustic dining table for hours long family and friends and laughter, and a well-appointed kitchen (and breakfast bar) stocked with all you need to prepare for delicious meals and fantastic lifelong memories.
This home sleeps 6 comfortably, with the master bedroom and bath on the main level & a loft featuring two queen size beds (all new Tempur-pedic mattress toppers). The loft bedroom has its own bathroom, as well.
A recreation/family room is located on the lower level that includes a seating area, futon, and a screened in porch. Play board games and watch TV/Stream movies on rainy or quiet days.

Have fun with the entire family or a group of friends in a quiet peaceful setting. The cabin sits on 2 acres and attaches to 8700 acres of public land that is open to hunting, hiking and abundant with wildlife which makes this property great for the outdoor enthusiast. The property is 6/10 mile from a public boat landing where you can fish, kayak or canoe the Wisconsin River. There are multiple parks relatively close that offer excellent hiking trails. Direct access to miles of ATV/UTV trails.

The space
The Prairiedise Cabin retreat has 2 bedrooms equipped with beds, linens, a ceiling fan, 2 windows, a dresser, and a hanging closet. The main bedroom has a queen-sized bed with linens and a playpen for infants and toddlers. The 2nd bedroom has a bunk bed with a twin-sized mattress on top and a full-sized mattress on the bottom as well as 2 sleeping pads with linens located under the lower bunk.
Guest access
You will be provided with an access code through the AirBnB portal to access the cabin. You will have access to the home's interior, outside deck, firepit area, shaded picnic table area under the cabin, and the private pier. Guests are not permitted in the locked storage areas adjacent to the deck or the pump room under the home.
Other things to note
The Prairiedise cabin is in a Protected Wildlife Area. Wildlife is abundant including routine sightings of bald eagles, herons, storks, geese, ducks, and a wide variety of birds and other wildlife such as beaver and deer. Fishing is excellent right off the dock. The islands in the river are within paddling distance of the cabin and have amazing sloughs to explore so feel free to bring kayaks or a canoe. Take a walk on the paved road with water on both sides and immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of nature. There is private gravel parking on both sides of Ambro road.
