The University of Iowa is only minutes away from the hotel. Downtown Cedar Rapids and additional destinations, including Ce College, Kirkwood Community College, Jones Park Golf Course, Paramount Theater and the National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library, are also located nearby. Cornell College, Coralville Lake, Amana Colonies, Indian Creek Nature Center and Seminole Valley Farm are located just minutes away. Hotel amenities include a free continental breakfast. This hotel is pet-friendly, whether an animal is large or small. A large, grassy area next to the hotel will provide pets with enjoyment. The tiny home experience. Kitchen, living room, closets, bathroom, & lofted bedroom are all masterfully tucked into 232 sq ft. Attractive backyard space complete with bistro lighting, & a minimalist seasonal hot tub ( No chemicals, no jets.
Freshwater on demand hot water). Just minutes away from shopping areas, downtown, and great restaurants. It's just half a block from a local grocery store. Nine minutes from newbo. Your hosts will be available to help you acclimate to the fun experience.
The space
The bedroom loft holds a queen size bed. The bathroom has a shower, sink, medicine cabinet to store all your bathroom items, and comes ready with a composting toilet. It's not a water operated toilet, but no worries - you'll be fully instructed on how to use it in our house manual. It produces no smell other than sawdust! There's a heater, and air conditioning available. Plenty of storage spaces are also available in the kitchen cabinets, under the bench, in the hall closet, in the stair compartments and drawers, and in the bedroom closet. There is a filtered rainwater collection Use as a back up system if ever needed. If used recommend for your shower and sink needs only. Otherwise the tiny house is always connected to city water. You never need to worry about how much rain we've had. Chromecast is available on the TV to watch Pluto TV (like cable), or you can connect to your streaming accounts. There is one parking spot available for you in the driveway, and plenty of room on the street to park as well.
Guest access
Parking is available right in front of the tiny house within the driveway. Please feel free to use this space. We can either provide in person check in or self check in.
You also have access to a dedicated workspace for your laptop. There is a foldable table that comes out of the side of the cabinet towards the bench seat for your work space needs.
For the elderly or disabled. If you have trouble with staircases this might be a difficult place for you to stay as the staircase is more like a ladder.

When experiencing tiny house living your stepping into a world of elegant minimalism. Catch the vision for yourself on our alternative hot tub. True minimalism at it's finest. This system skips the chlorine & the jets. It allows you to control on demand hot water. Temperature set to your liking at the turn of a knob. Set up your wine and a table of cheese and crackers and enjoy an evening of peace.
