Our 2nd story rental overlooks Commerce St. Enter our cozy enclosed staircase off of Commerce Street and head up a set of stairs to enjoy our completely renovated, modern suite. The apartment has a beautiful kitchen with a modern feel and all new appliances. The kitchen is open to the living room with a view of the fun downtown. Sit and enjoy your favorite show on the flat-screen tv or cozy up to the fire. Our large bedrooms feature king-size beds with plush mattresses, quality linens and private access to bathrooms. They are situated opposite of each other for the ultimate privacy. We will have a queen air mattress onsite for your plus one to utilize. To top it off, we have our own assigned parking spot just a short walk away, located on Hill St behind Hello Galena. Think friend getaway or family staycation! This location will be impossible to beat! Please NOTE: There is a long set of stairs to the second floor where the unit is located.

When you book a home with us we will require 30% down, this is a payment not a deposit. The full balance is due 14 days before check-in. If you cancel prior to the 14 days you will receive the first payment less a $35 cancellation fee. At the 14-day mark, your stay will become non-refundable, and dates cannot be adjusted. Your payments will automatically be processed to the card you place on file at the time of your booking. Your rental agreement (sent after booking) will reflect the due dates and amounts. Please Note: You will be required to sign an electronic rental agreement at the time of booking, we ask this be signed and filed within 48 hours of receiving it to guarantee your reservation. You must be 25 or older when booking and be present during the entire stay. Our cancellation policy is not flexible, so please review it carefully. We highly recommend travel insurance.

Check-in details are sent 3 days before your arrival to the email on file. This includes the home's address, the access code, and other pertinent home/area information. Early check-in is never guaranteed and cannot be considered until the night before or the morning of your arrival. The check-in details will cover this process. Please note we do not provide toiletries at the home. We will provide dish soap, dish detergent, hand soap, laundry detergent and paper products.

We have 7 suites and a beautiful lobby that are modern and luxurious, with lots of historical character and texture as a nod to its previous existence as the Grant Hotel from 1895 to 1933. Suite 204 is a European botanical themed room on the 2nd floor. It has a king bed and a beautiful balcony!

The J. G. Schmohl building was built around 1850. From 1895 to 1932, Mr. Schmohl ran the Grant Hotel in this building. We have loving renovated this well-deserved building with a nod to the Grant Hotel from the turn of the century. We have 3 two bedroom/2 bath suites, 2 one bedroom/1 bath suites and 2 studios. Having a special family/friend gathering? You can rent the entire 7 suites that will accommodate 21 people. Ulysses Suites main entrance is at 214 S. Bench Street and is also accessible between 213 and 215 S. Main Street. Ulysses Suites has been awarded the Galena Excellence in Historic Preservation Designation in 2020.

We renovated a floating cabin into a truly modern and usable space! You will be staying DIRECTLY on the water. While this brings an abundance of beauty, it can also bring bugs or other critters in the warmer months.
We have a full kitchen (no oven), and we provide the basic amenities for you like pots, pans, silverware, plates, and other cooking essentials. We also provide 1 bath towel per person and bed sheets. We provide one cotton blanket, so please bring extra in the colder months if you like a lot of blankets.
You will have to walk down a dock at our marina to get to the rental. It is located on the back side of our restaurant.

We also have boat slips available by the night or by the week. One uncovered slip is provided with your rental. PLEASE NOTE: we have no control of the river levels. This means that sometimes swimming is not possible because the water will be so low. Also, sometimes you cannot get your boat into our marina due to low water. If you plan on bringing a boat, please ask us if the water is deep enough. If you would like more details on how to check the river level, please message us.
Kayak rentals available from the restaurant on property, when they are in season. You get one free hour kayak rental for all registered guests (you can always ask about your specific time if interested in kayaks).

SWIMMING NOT ADVISED, but if you do swim, it is at your own risk.

WE ARE LOCATED IN A FLOOD ZONE. While flooding only usually happens in the Spring for about a week, we are located on a river, so that means we can flood at any point. We will have to rebook your stay if flooding is in the forecast.

We really just want to make sure you understand what the backwaters are like. Its BEAUTIFUL around our 14 acre river front property...but that means BUGS in the Summer! The sunsets are OUTSTANDING, and the wildlife is abundant. We want you to understand that the river has a strong current, so SWIMMING NOT ADVISED- BUT CAN SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Absolutely no pets allowed. No parties or events. Quiet time is 10 PM. Please respect the neighbors.

This particular unit in the building may not be your best fit if soundproofing between rooms and/or from street noise are really important to you."

•Baggage hold: The front desk is able to hold your baggage for you in a secure location if you arrive early before your room is ready. They are also able to hold your bags on checkout day if you are not ready to leave the resort after the checkout time.

•Changing Guest Name: If you wish to change the name of the person checking in, there will be a ($99) fee in order to change the name.

•Check-out: To check out stop by the front desk to let them know you are leaving. Check out time is at 10am but you can request a late checkout at the front desk.

•Check-in: To check in when you arrive at the resort, you will check in at the front desk like a hotel. Just provide them with your name and a photo id.

•Clean up: You do NOT need to clean up prior to leaving, just be reasonable.

•Deposit: There is a $150 dollar credit deposit hold that will be placed on your card when you arrive and will be returned to you upon your leave.

•Guest Checking in: The person checking in must be over 21 years of age and have a valid ID.

•Lost Keys: Lost your room key? No problem just head on over to the front desk with your name, room number, and ID and they will be able to give you a new one.

•Parking: There is plenty of free outdoor parking.

•Pets: Pets are not allowed at the resort.

•Pillows: two great pillows are provided per bed and more can be brought to you if you ask the front desk.

The Federal House was built in 1842 by Frederick Stahl and Alice McLane Stahl. The home is considered the finest example of Federal architecture in Galena. Guests are welcome to enjoy the ambiance in the Living and Dining rooms which look much as they did when the house was built. These rooms are furnished appropriately to the period. The two spacious suites are beautifully furnished but in a more eclectic rather than historical style. You may enjoy breakfast in the main Dining Room or have it delivered to your suite. Beverages and plenty of ice will be stocked in your room before your arrival. The City of Galena will not allow a B&B to serve or sell alcoholic beverages, please feel free to bring your own. The wet bar is furnished with a coffee maker, tea kettle, small oven, blender, glasses, plates, silverware and other utensils. Coffee, cream, tea, hot chocolate, popcorn, sugar, sweetener, salt and pepper are also provided. The fridge is stocked with beverages, squeeze bottles of ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise and plenty of ice. Guests are welcome to use the grill in the back garden when weather permits.

Hello and welcome to our fully-renovated loft apartment, located on Galena’s historic Main Street! This unit features exposed original brick, and hardwood floors. It boasts a large kitchen (range, microwave, fridge, dishwasher), spacious bathroom with double vanity, Roku TV with many cable channels, and wonderful views of our historic town! This apartment has just been completely renovated. When tearing down walls, we found two old door ways that were plastered over. We took one of the doors that went into the adjacent apartment, and allowed it to become a passage between both. If you were to book this one and The Corner Apartment atop Main, we could open the doors up for you to have a larger space, and a higher occupancy. We dug deeper and learned more about the history of the building. We discovered that it had burnt down in 1878 and was rebuilt in 1879. The owner of the building during this time lived in this apartment where the fire had started. The rest of the story on this historic apartment is in there for you when you book! There's a lovely front porch that overlooks the Galena River. Guests often sit on the rockers with a beverage of choice, as they watch boaters go by on the river. This is the downstairs apartment in a house. There's another apartment upstairs. The only shared area with the upstairs guests is the common hallway, locate just inside the front door. Both apartments are completely separate and secure.

Our 2nd story rental overlooks Commerce St. Enter our cozy enclosed staircase off of Commerce Street and head up a set of stairs to enjoy our completely renovated, modern suite. The apartment has a beautiful kitchen with a modern feel and all new appliances. The kitchen is open to the living room with a view of the fun downtown. Sit and enjoy your favorite show on the flat-screen tv or cozy up to the fire. Our large bedrooms feature king-size beds with plush mattresses, quality linens and private access to bathrooms. They are situated opposite of each other for the ultimate privacy. We will have a queen air mattress onsite for your plus one to utilize. To top it off, we have our own assigned parking spot just a short walk away, located on Hill St behind Hello Galena. Think friend getaway or family staycation! This location will be impossible to beat! Please NOTE: There is a long set of stairs to the second floor where the unit is located.

When you book a home with us we will require 30% down, this is a payment not a deposit. The full balance is due 14 days before check-in. If you cancel prior to the 14 days you will receive the first payment less a $35 cancellation fee. At the 14-day mark, your stay will become non-refundable, and dates cannot be adjusted. Your payments will automatically be processed to the card you place on file at the time of your booking. Your rental agreement (sent after booking) will reflect the due dates and amounts. Please Note: You will be required to sign an electronic rental agreement at the time of booking, we ask this be signed and filed within 48 hours of receiving it to guarantee your reservation. You must be 25 or older when booking and be present during the entire stay. Our cancellation policy is not flexible, so please review it carefully. We highly recommend travel insurance.

Check-in details are sent 3 days before your arrival to the email on file. This includes the home's address, the access code, and other pertinent home/area information. Early check-in is never guaranteed and cannot be considered until the night before or the morning of your arrival. The check-in details will cover this process. Please note we do not provide toiletries at the home. We will provide dish soap, dish detergent, hand soap, laundry detergent and paper products.

This historic building is nicely located on Main St. in Downtown Galena in area known as the "Gateway to Galena." Grain dealers John Curley and Charles Mahoney built the 3-story building in 1857. Currently a Bakery and Dry Goods store are located on the Main Street level of the building. Two new suites are located on the second level with access from Bench Street. Each suite has modern conveniences and amenities while keeping its original charm. A tree-lined private deck welcomes you.
