This is an owner occupied property. This means the owner will be may be on premises most of the time staying in another unit. We very much appreciate when guests follow the house rules and any given instructions. The more a guest can leave the place in the condition they’ve found it, the better. If conditions are found unfavorable upon a guest’s departure, that guest will be charged for excessive cleaning/damages by the host retaining some or all of the security deposit. A price list is included in the Guide as an estimate for damages should they occur.

Families are welcome, but be warned- the place is not child-proofed and we may require an extra security deposit for small children. As stated, the apartment accommodates up to 6 people. 4 comfortably. 2 on a Queen bed in the lager bedroom and 2 on a double bed in the smaller, and up to 3 more in the Living Room area on a queen air bed for a supplemental charge. It is preferred that the couch not be used as a bed. One should also note, there is only 1 bathroom and it is on the small side. Please inquire for special sleeping arrangements.

For longer term stays* an additional security deposit is required. Unfortunately, we do not commit to short term stays (5 days or less) several months in advance. Ask about an additional discount for stays more than 30 days. SORRY NO OTHER DISCOUNTS OUTSIDE THE WEEKLY DISCOUNT FOR UNDER 30 DAYS (the price as quoted by VRBO includes the 10% weekly and 20% monthly discounts).

PETS: Overall pets are not allowed. However, small pets under 60 lbs may be considered on a case-by-case basis per the Host's discretion. An agreement to a set of rules/contract is required along with a $25 per night fee if a pet is allowed. A $250 pet deposit will be required for longer term stays*. This is in addition to the $250 security deposit. Service animals may require documentation of proof. Support animals will require a filled out questionnaire as well as documentation. A final walk-through will also be required prior to departure. Regardless of classification type, guests are responsible for any damage, replacement or extensive cleaning due to their animals.

TEMPERATURE CONTROLS
Upper Level Heat:
There are 3 electric convection wall heaters.
Upper Level AC:
There is an 18,000 BTU window unit and is controlled with a remote. The unit will be installed in the Spring once the warmer weather starts
Lower Level Heat:
There is a convection wall heater and a space heater in the bedroom. The bathroom has a wall heater next to the toilet. There are more supplemental space heaters if needed.
Lower Level AC:
A portable AC will be installed during the summer months. There’s also a dehumidifier.

- "Host did extras including grab bars/mat in shower (I have a slight imbalance prob) and getting us decaf coffee. He met us on arrival and literally walked us throughout. Everything was remodeled and clean as a pin. I don’t like steps with imbalance prob, so except for a shower, we stayed very comfy on the 1st floor with our Murphy bed, ½ bath (well stocked), kitchenette with table/chairs, fridge, MW, hot plate and every type of pot, pan, silverware, plate, cup and glass possible (SMILEY FACE). As advertised, the TV room was sooooo relaxing with big chair and couches. The TV was state of the art with many extras including sound elements. The desk, chair, lamp and WiFi were perfect for our computer needs. The Host also had outdoor lounge chairs for us. The location is spot on – easy access to everything. We highly recommend this Host and VRBO – we have family friends in area and will be sure to stay here again."

Close to everything — a great bar & grill (Drink), a pizza place, a Chinese restaurant, a wine and cigar shop, and a pack & ship store are all steps out the door. Eggsclusive Cafe is great for breakfast/brunch . Walgreens, Circle K Gas & Convenience Store, Several fast food places and a Schnuck's grocery store are all in the immediate vicinity.

Cherry Vale Mall, is a regional mall with Macy's, JC Penney, H&M, Barnes & Noble, a food court, Tilted- Bowling, arcade games, laser tag, bumper cars, miniature golf, food & drink. Menards is directly behind the property and has some great deals on grocery items. Six Flags Hurricane Harbor is 3 mins away.

The village of Cherry Valley is 5 mins away.
