It took a bit to get used to how different the layout was from a regular hotel room. It was very small, and at first felt thrown together - the hot water heater against the wall was one of the first things we saw. But the cabin was very clean and comfortable. There was a small living room with an TV, an older reclining love seat and a table and chairs, a separate bedroom and bathroom. The bathroom was a little cramped, but, again, very clean. The shower was good sized and worked well. A mini-fridge, microwave and coffee maker were all clean and worked well. Each cabin had a couple chairs out front. Since the grounds, and cabins were well kept and the weather was mild, sitting outside in the evening and morning gave it a very pleasant up-north cabin feel. There were picnic tables and a grill in the common area. The pool, which we did not get the chance to use, was clean and well maintained. The check in and check out process were very quick and easy. The only issue we had was knowing where to have breakfast (we suggest the Lake St. Emporium a couple blocks away). Check in is a bit later than usual (4pm) and check out was a bit earlier (10am), but that wasn’t a problem on this trip. We would definitely stay again."

Lake Breeze Cottage is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath cottage situated in the heart of downtown Port Austin. You are within walking distance from everything they have to offer.
The master bedroom has a queen sized bed and the 2nd bedroom has a full/twin bunk bed (sleeps 3) and a twin bed.
The kitchen is a fully stocked and ready to use with pots and pan, plates, bowls cups, utensils, coffee maker, toaster, microwave and more. It also has a dish washer! Other amenities include a washer/dryer, cable, internet and DVD player. You could bring or rent canoes/kayaks to enjoy the crystal clear waters of Lake Huron!!

Welcome fishermen, hunters, and kayakers! Fully furnished Mobile home located directly across the street from Grindstone Harbor boat launch on Lake Huron.
This rental is a work in progress. Many updates inside and out including central air . We do have 4 unadvertised RV sites on the same property, 2 are full time seasonal sites.
We have a quarry that we have been working on to clean up and deepen, so there might also be an excavator on site and I never know when he'll be there, he's a super nice guy but his equipment is loud, he is not there all the time. There's a nice patio with chairs overlooking the quarry to enjoy and relax.
Please please please keep an eye on your kids! Lots of water around you here..
There's 1 large community fire pit or a small more portable one if you'd rather be more by yourself.
Just bring your personal items and you'll be ready to start your vacation. Includes cable/Xfinity streaming box, (please bring your own passwords for the different streaming sites), and internet. Sheets and towels. Sleeps 4 comfortably, (but does include a full size pull out sofa and a regular couch), 1 queen, and 1 full sized bed.
Kitchen is fully stocked with full sized fridge, range, microwave. Pots n pans, dinnerware, towels, storage bowls etc. (Minus a vegetable peeler, I'm told lol.) You may have to bring your own plastic wrap and bags, foil or whatever favorite items you may need to make your stay more comfortable. We have a couple charcoal grills on the property for your use.
Pet friendly, (with restrictions). Please clean up after your pet and leashes are a must.
We do have city water delivered in a large tank, not many wells in our area.

Port Austin is the hidden gem of the thumb of Michigan! You will find restaurants, ice cream, mini-golf, golf courses, a break wall, a grocery store, shops and coffee and much more!
Right up the road at the Port Austin Marina you are able to launch your boat or jet skis! Perhaps you rather take a charter out to see the famous Turnip Rock?!
As you travel up M-25 towards Caseville you will find canoeing and kayaking on the Pinnabog River. You will pass Port Crescent State Park as well as Sleeper State Park with hiking trails and outdoor adventure! In Oak Beach during the summer months at Huron County Nature Center there are interesting educational sessions on various Michigan wildlife, which is great for kids. They also have beautiful trails.
In Port Austin you will find a variety of wonderful restaurant options and lovely little shops! At PAKS you can rent kayaks and take an adventure out to see the famous Turnip Rock! On Saturday’s they hold a wonderful Farmers Market!

Cottage # 5 Little Yellow Cottages

Little Yellow Cottages consist of a block of six one and two bedroom cottages, located in Downtown Port Austin. They are perfect for those that desire activity and comfort. Across the street, you will find the Port Austin marina, beach, and pier, as well as Port Austin’s seasonal Farmer’s Market. The cottages themselves are ideal for both small groups requiring just one cottage, or larger groups needing more room, yet seeking the privacy afforded by the individual cottages.

Each of the Little Yellow Cottages feature a screened in porch with seating, a living room with TV & soft seating, a full kitchen (plates, bowls, utensils, pots/pans, etc.), air conditioning and/or heat, and a private bath with shower. Cottages are available in both one bedroom and two bedroom configurations and can accommodate up to six guests. Outdoors you will find a fire pit, outdoor grills, and picnic tables and chairs. You are welcome to enjoy the space outback, as well as your own private patio with outdoor seating. You can purchase wood, charcoal, and other essentials for your outdoor fun just a few minutes from your cottage.

The two bedroom cottages each have one bedroom with a queen or full size bed, and one bedroom with two twins. The one bedroom and studio cottages have 1 queen sized bed and 1 queen sized sofa bed.

The cottage is a perfect walking distance to the beach and everything else in town. It was clean and stocked with the necessities for cooking. We are a family of 6 with 4 teens so it was definitely small for us but it was cozy. We spent time outside and with the small space it made us reconnect in ways we haven’t in a long time. :) Communication with the Guest family was amazing. They were friendly and very accommodating. The cottage is on a property with 5 other cottages so it would be perfect for a large group to rent more cottages to vacation together. The backyard is a community space with a gas and charcoal grill, picnic tables and a fire pit. We had the space to ourselves since there were no other renters the week we stayed. outside was stocked with all you needed for cooking and the fire pit had wood. The kitchen was a little challenging to make meals for our large family bc of the size but we got creative and made it work. Port Austin Kayak is a fun place to check out and is walking distance from the cottage. Adventure Golf is a beautiful mini golf course just 10 min down the road on the way to Caseville. Grindstone general store is an awesome place for ice cream with giant scoops. 10 min drive out of town but worth it! Farmers market is on Saturdays. Overall we had a great time!"

- "I loved everything about our stay, except how hot it was in the house, I would bring extension cords next time to run the box fans they provided. The outlets didn’t seem to be in places I needed them to be. I loved how close we were to the beach, the kids and I walked the beach one evening and came across a park with a playground! My kids were 4 & 2.5 years old. I was able to do this trip without my husband who couldn’t get off work to join us. When you park they had yellow wagons to help transport all of your belongings to your house (which was such a blessing as it was just me with two kids who can’t help) but my son was able to pull the wagon which he loved. I was nervous about how the parking was right next to the road (50mph speed limit) with my two toddlers but we managed. Everyone their was so friendly and the sunset and views were amazing. They did have beach toys out for my kids (we brought our own though) and it was nice they had chaise lounges on the beach. I would definitely come again and now I want to buy a beach house right near where the bungalows were. It was a perfect halfway point from port Austin and caseville."

- "Nice cabin, great location in Port Austin, easily walkable to the beach, downtown shops, Farmer’s Market. Lots of things provided. Host was helpful and very responsive. Check in was the easiest I think I’ve experienced. Hot water on demand was nice! The cabin itself was a bit small for 5 adults and a baby, but it did work for our weekend. The futon is probably better for kids than an adult. The only area I couldn’t give 5 stars on was cleanliness. It could have been a bit cleaner. Otherwise, it was a good place! Would stay again with less people. "
