- "This is truly a unique place to stay. You feel as though you are on a remote island in Maine. The views are incredible and the Egrets are fun to watch. The lighthouse cabin is unique but understand that it is VERY small. If you are looking for a VRBO that will allow you to kick back in a chair and/or a hot bath (there is only a 3 gallon hot water heater for a quick shower), this would not be your ideal destination. If you experience unfortunate weather during your stay (as we did) and need to stay indoors, you are very limited in what you can do. Also, cooking options are limited as there is no stove/oven and the fridge is a dorm fridge. There is a grill outside but once again, if you experience bad weather, that won’t be an option for you. If you don’t mind these limitations - then you will enjoy this uniquely wonderful VRBO! "

- "This is a "motel", not a hotel. However, it was one of the most spacious "small" rooms in whch we ever stayed. The bed was a little hard for me but great for my wife. Now the toilet seat was not secured. One of the nuts on the seat was the wrong type and did not secure it. Cozy 2 bedroom cabin surrounded by farm land near Fish Point Wildlife Refuge. Wifi unlimited , Fire sticks or Chromecast, washer & dryer. Only 20 minutes to Bay City, less than an hour to Frankenmuth and little further to Birch Run. Nicely located to reach many of the beautiful Lake Huron beaches, room for your boat & trailer to walleye fish many of the close by marinas. Just down the road for bird watching at Fish Point Wild Life Preserve. Drive over to the Octagon Barn or Sanilac Petroglyphs...many more interesting things to see or do while centrally located in our cozy cabin! We also have an outdoor dog kennel and fire pit, gas grill, there is a fish cleaning station too. Animals are allowed, please keep them off the furniture & clean up after them! ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING INSIDE THE CABIN.

We are in a rural setting. Wildlife of all sizes are to be found here and sometimes will enter the property. Food should disposed of properly both outside and in. Though we take great pride in our cleanliness and are grateful to our cleaning crew, it is within reason in the country that a field mouse, spider or what have you could enter the house, or a larger critter in the yard. No refunds will be granted in such instance.

One bedroom has 2 queens & the 2nd has a queen and a loft double bed, full size bathroom with on demand hot water, fully stocked, just bring your food. Unlimited wifi, Washer and dryer, dish washer, coffee maker, keurig, microwave, toaster oven, stove, fridge, toaster, towels,laundry soap, shampoo,soap ,kitchen is stocked with plates dish cooking utensils. Each room has a TV and bedding, pillows. We have a cemented outdoor dog kennel. There is a fire pit & gas grill. If it has been raining a lot you may hear a quiet thump of the sump pump in the basement.

In the Summer you can enjoy floating down the Cass River which is only a 2 minute walk to the Tuscola Township Park. Tube and kayak rentals are available at Frankenmuth Kayaks or Sivak's Cass River Boat and Tube Rental. Feel free to bring your own as well! The park also has a great play area for the kids, all walking distance from the house!
Memorial Park is located just over 4 miles from the property and provides a disc golf course, horse shoe pit and rose garden. Several Golf Courses are located within 20 minutes of The Loft Haus.

Frankenmuth in the Winter is a sight to see! From visiting Bronner's, the biggest Christmas store in the World to ice skating downtown, there are so many things to do. In January the Snowfest is a must see!

- Your safety matters. This property features 2 exterior security cameras. Camera 1 is a Ring doorbell camera on the front porch facing the front exterior entry. Camera 2 is on the back of the home facing the deck/dock. The cameras are outward facing and do not look into interior spaces. The cameras record video and sound when motion is detected

Come visit! Our cozy newly renovated home is located blocks from the Sebewaing Harbor Marina for the fisherman ready to get out on Saginaw Bay. It is also the perfect centralized location for the small family ready to adventure all Michigan's thumb has to offer. Maybe you just need a great space with wireless internet while in the area on business our house is it. Features two bedrooms that will sleep 4-6 (2 queen and 1 full total) Close to Pioneer sugar, only 35 minutes to Bay City, 45 minutes to Port Austin, and less than an hour to Saginaw. You will find all the basic amenities here to make your time enjoyable. Going fishing, the marina has an amazing fish cleaning station to clean your catch.. Outside you will also find a spot to sit and relax during Michigans warmer seasons. Bringing the boat? Parking available in driveway (see photo for parking) or you can rent parking spaces minutes away at the Sebewaing Harbor Marina (see photos of Marina). If you are the avid outdoorsman maybe you have extra gear you need to store out of the elements, with access to the gargage this is easy. No matter your reason for coming to stay with us you will be happy you chose our home.

Welcome to The Village Haus, we are so excited to host you for your next stay with room for the whole family!

The covered wrap porch greets you with sitting areas to enjoy your morning cup of coffee.

Upon entry you will find everything you need for your stay.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need to prepare meals during your stay, including a griddle for morning pancakes and even a mini air fryer for a quick snack!

Both bathrooms are stocked with plenty of towels and wash clothes as well as a starter pack of toilet paper.

All the beds are dressed in comfy bedding to make your stay restful and relaxing. Extra bedding is available in the closet upstairs and an air mattress is available upon request (just mention it upon check in).

The living room has plenty of gathering space featuring a large sectional and a smart TV for streaming service. Speaking of, our home has amazing WI-FI that can accommodate multiple devices at a time work, play, and stream all at the same time!

Upstairs features additional hang out space with another smaller sectional, TV, and DVD player.

Upstairs bedrooms include the master bedroom with King bed and walk in closet as well as the bunk room featuring a full on the bottom and single on top. The bunk room also has a futon that folds out for additional sleeping.

The downstairs bedroom offers a Queen bed.

Centrally located in the quaint town of Millington MI only minutes from Little Bavaria aka Frankenmuth, MI as well as Birch Run Prime Outlets!
Also close to Flint,Saginaw, Bay City and Midland making a day trip very reasonable.

Prefer the beach? We are close to Caseville located on Lake Huron!

HOUSE RULES:

PET POLICY: Dogs only two dog maximum-sorry no cats. Additional pet fee for more than one dog. We truly want our home to be your home! That being said we have found that in order to keep our home enjoyable for all of our guests we have a few requests.

***Please make sure gas is turned off on the grill when not in use.

Unfortunately some of our board games have been mishandled. We did our best to put them back together but if you find they are not useable please leave them on the kitchen table. If you do use them please try to keep the game pieces together with its respective game.

We do not have cable but we do have high speed internet and a smart TV in the living room for streaming services. The TV remote is in the drawer on TV stand.

Please do not use carpet powders on the rugs or carpets.

Please do not mix dark wash cloths with white towels if you need to wash towels.

Please do not allow food or drinks upstairs (with exception to water).

There are two available parking spots for our home. Additional street park is also available however, village limits ordinance requires NO parking on the street 10pm-2am.

You will have complete access to the home, yard, and shed (for bikes). The only exceptions are the owners closet in the downstairs bedroom and the basement.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD:

We named our home The Village Haus first and foremost because we are so close to the famous Little Bavaria aka Frankenmuth! But secondly, because we wanted to include our roots. Millington is a quaint peaceful village community that is a great place for family!

Other than it’s central location to Frankenmuth and Birch Run Prime Outlets shopping mall, we are also close to Flint, Saginaw, Midland, and Bay City! Also close to Caseville Beach (located on Lake Huron)! Making us truly a great central location to LOTS of fun options while remaining away from all the hustle and bustle of busy city life.
Millington itself has some really neat antique malls and shops! As well as a few other notable places to visit;

Stop by Curly Cone for a Coney dog or delicious soft serve ice cream!

If you prefer hand dipped treats head North a bit on M15 and check out “Chocolates Galore” for the best hand dipped ice cream around! Did I mention, they also have THE BEST hand made chocolates?!

Built in 1851, The Smith House defines vintage beauty from the ornate chandeliers throughout, to the grand staircase in the foyer.

This home was designed by our family in 2024 with specific intent to take you back through the years of the Victorian Era, Roaring Twenties, the 60's, all the way to Y2K with our lightly-themed rooms! (accommodates 19 people)

Our common areas exemplify trends of the 1920's, while keeping up with modern times. These areas provide your party with games, art supplies, books, toys, an extensive collection of records complete with first floor speakers, plenty of relaxing room and Smart TV's (for the rainy days).

Breakfast supplies include fresh baked bread, half gallon milk, h/h, 1 dozen eggs, sausage, oatmeal, pancake mix, coffee/tea/cocoa, sugar/spices, etc.
Enjoy mornings with our coffee bar, and nights with our Bartender's cocktail kit located in our "Uncorked Pine" Speakeasy!

The speakeasy is complete with kitchenette, movie room, wii, indoor games, ping-pong, darts, foosball, and other hidden gems for your party to enjoy!

Seems like this place was put up for rent about a month sooner than it should’ve been to really complete it."

- "It appears the property is being updated. An outdoor grill and some outdoor lighting would have been nice. The inside of the house is nice and it was clean. " - "Pictures of the property depict a lovely lake scene. The lake is actually a quarter mile down the road. There is no lake access available. The house had multiple problems including open dryer vents, cable lines hanging off the house, sort it out electrical outlet, soft spots on the deck, broken down old ski-does in the overgrown backyard. The house smelled, there was garbage left from the previous cleaning and a garbage can that had no bin liner. Four towels in the entire house. Minimal amenities. Undrinkable water from the well. We rented a hotel room instead of staying in this place. I'm just sorry we couldn't get our money back."

This isn't a property like any other set on our 250 acre deer farm you will be able to interact with the deer, elk, and Buffalo on the ranch. The lodge is fully furnished any able to sleep 6 comfortably with couches and chairs for more. The two full bathrooms both have stand up showers one being handicap excessable. Full kitchen with all utincels included dining table seats six. Mini splits in each downstairs bedroom for heat and air conditioning along with fireplace for added heat source. With your stay is use of a golf cart to ride through our 9 miles of trails to see all the diffrent animals we offer. Ride back to the fully stocked ponds where you and the family can fish and picnic. Or hike the trails veiwing nature and seeing all the diffrent sites our property has to offer. With only a short drive you can be in little Barvaria itself the town of Frankenmuth filled with shops and attractions along with the largest christmas store in the world.This is a one of a kind experience that I'm sure you will never forget.
