Our house has a 140-years history, so we tried to decorate it in the old style so that you can feel a bit of history, but with all modern amenities. We travel a lot, so we value comfort and style. On the walls of the house you can see photos from Iceland, which is our last fascination.
We invite you to three comfortably furnished bedrooms with king, queen and full size beds. Each is in a different style, each with a wardrobe, table and chairs or comfortable armchairs. In the main bedroom you can watch TV lying in bed, or sit comfortably in an armchair.

You have two bathrooms - on the ground floor and on the first floor.

In the kitchen you will find all the equipment, dishes and appliances to cook, bake or simply make a delicious meal or make coffee. A large fridge will hold all your supplies.
You can eat a meal in the kitchen - at the small, fold-out table or in the dining room - where there is a comfortable place for 6 or 8 people. If you don't like cooking - the nearest restaurant is only 3 minutes' walk - Jacks Place Bowling. The idyllic covered front porch welcomes guests. Wave to the friendly walkers who greet you from the sidewalk. The porch has chairs and a wide railing for seating whenever gathering outside. An elegant guest powder room is available just inside the house.
The living room, with fireplace and 4k TV flows into the music room and formal dining room. The refinished wood floors, windows, trim, and crystal chandelier are original from 1933 and are meticulously maintained.
The updated kitchen has thick slab granite counters, custom Canadian tin tile backsplash, large commercial stainless steel sink with magnetic wand faucet. The newer Kitchen Aid appliances feature a 5 burner gas cooktop and oven grilling option, refrigerator with filtered water and ice dispenser, a quiet dishwasher, and a microwave with multiple settings. There is an informal seating area in the kitchen to chat with the cook. The back deck provides flexible space for gathering , dining, and is perfect for grilling on the Weber Genesis propane gas grill (back up tank is in the garage), or just relaxing.

Do you have someone not interested in climbing stairs to get some sleep and shower? The main floor bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with real Italian Carrera marble and an oversized shower with handheld and rain shower options.
The second story is truly luxurious. At the top of the stairs, French doors open to the Grand Suite with a newer King size bed and Purple mattress with storage underneath and side matching tables. Ample size room accommodates a writing table, chairs, dresser and 4K TV. There is a large Elfa customized walk-in closet that can store whatever you have. Closet has an iron, ironing table and antique suit stand for your use.
The 'OMG' bathroom shower. Say 'ahhh' when stepping under the over-sized rain shower which can accommodate two or more at a time. There is even seating for two in the shower. The mirrors and two sinks in the wide vanity make getting ready a breeze.

The third oversize bedroom is upstairs, down the hall, includes two newer Queen beds and newer mattresses that can accommodate 2-4 people and another 4k TV. Find a set of full-length closet door mirrors and vanity in the oversized closet. The east windows have black out shades for late sleepers and the oversized closet has plenty of hanging space and includes toys for children, if needed. The hall bath has a tub/shower component with linen closet stocked with additional towels and supplies.

Something new this year is the game room/storm room/quiet space in the full size, updated basement! The air mitigation system keeps the air fresh at all times. The fully stocked laundry room with 2 clothes washers and dryers and folding is available to all.

There are 3 bicycles in the garage for your use. One is a two seater tandem. If the tires are low on air, you can get them filled up at the gas station half a block away. The oversized tricycle with rear basket is perfect for shopping around town.

- "I have no other words for this home. Easy to find using GPS. We were in town for a wedding, the groom and groomsmen came by to relax for a bit. Use the shooting range and threw axes. There was a corn hole set and other lawn games available. We walked the trails a little on Saturday to watch the meteor shower. (Which I would almost belief our host arranged for us). Lots to do outside, you may think, "what if it rains?' There were cards and other games inside and a playstation, Could have stayed inside for days and not run out of things to do. There was plenty of wood for the firepit. Gas for the grill! Two things I really appreciated; 1) I stopped at the store on the way and grab some lunchmeat forgot condiments. Opened the fridge and found everything I needed and then some. Cold water, bacon and eggs for breakfast, some soda, almost any condiment you could want. 2). We were able to charge our phones using the outlets built into beds. And the queen bed, was soooo comfortable after a long flight. I fell asleep as soon as I hit the pillows. My only suggestions are; 1). when you do rent take the time to read the book left by our host. I finally slowed down on my third day there and realized there were places I would have loved to seen in my little downtime from wedding activites 2) schedule more time to enjoy all this home has to offer. - " We had a wonderful family stay at the big red house on the lake for our anniversary. It’s wonderful to have a big private space to enjoy nature, on the lake in a huge home. It’s our dream come true spot. My three kids loved playing in the spacious backyard and exploring the woods with the stunning lake as their backdrop. We all had yummy breakfast every morning on the deck overlooking the lake and were able to cook many of our family meals in the big kitchen while enjoying the lake view. Our kids had ample space inside too, they played games downstairs in the game room, but outside was our favorite. I was able to get good rest and relaxation in the jacuzzi tub in master bathroom. Thanks for a great stay! Our kids had so much fun and my husband got some quality rest! We are definitely booking to stay again soon!"

- "I loved all the little things the owners set up. It was well equipped and comfortable. It is a home we will go to again for sure." - "It was an easy process from booking, to checking in to the stay and departure. We were in town for the weekend to attend an event in Frankenmuth. The commute between the rental and Frankenmuth was only about 15-20 minutes. There were several dine-in and carryout restaurants and a Walmart for groceries nearby. The rental was adorable and had everything we needed, including a welcome basket and water juice, etc in the fridge. The only additional thing I could have used was a digital clock in the bedroom, but that is just due to my OCD of needing to know what time it is when I wake up in the middle of the night. While it is only a one bedroom rental, the front room has a futon and they also provided a roll away bed and a privacy screen. That set-up was perfect as far as my daughter was concerned. She felt as though she had her own bedroom. I would definitely book again if I am in the area and highly recommend it to others."

Paint is fresh, flooring and cabinets are new...Only 3 miles from the historic downtown of Frankenmuth. 1484 square feet of beautiful living space. 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bath, beautiful new EVERYTHING. 3 miles from Meijer and restaurants galore. Natural fireplace, amazing private and fenced yard with pets considered. Brand new furniture, dishwasher...everything you need to have your dream vacation. You will love this space! We do charge an additional $50 per guest per night for guests exceeding 4. This allows us to keep the nightly rent reasonable for couples and small families. Also, there is a $59 charge for property insurance or this cost can be avoided by providing $1500 in refundable insurance. About a week prior to your arrival we will send a basic short-term rental agreement and upon return we will provide property access information.

- "The property looks better online than in person. Seems like most upgrades/fixes at property are not fully finished. Doesn't seem like the owners care about the guest experience. Bathroom sink faucet is so close to bowl of sink it is hard to wash hands & not properly installed so it feels like its going to break off when you use it. Shower was not cleaned in between guests. Hair in multiple places in shower & opened bottles of the previous guests body wash confirmed no one looked at the shower prior to our stay. There were 4 spiders on the ceiling of the bedroom we stayed in. Spiders & other bugs found in other rooms. There was mention of a sump pump that would be running during our stay. The pump in question is located below the queen bedroom & turns on and off at least once every 5 minutes around the clock. A peaceful nights sleep is not possible because of it. "

The Taylor House is a turn of the century build in Downtown Clio, MI. Initially a dentist office in 1901, Dr. Taylor served Clio for many years helping anyone and everyone that needed assistance. Newly renovated, one bedroom stay with full kitchen with gas range, shower, all the amenities of home including a LCD tv with a desk to work or enjoy a book at. Centrally located 5 minutes from I-75, 10 minutes to Birch Run 10 miles from Frankenmuth, 18 minutes south to Flint and 26 North to Saginaw!

The front room features a queen size sleeper sofa with a pocket door for privacy.
