The senior Manager was most helpful in telling us directions etc., The outside is your first impression and it needs a bit of cleaning up a simple brush would do wonders before you go in the front door. The home was built circa1875 and is an example of Italianate Renaissance architecture. It is full of history as one of Kincardine's largest and oldest homes, located in the core of town, minutes walk to the beach. Original details remain throughout the home. Bathrooms and kitchen have been updated to provide a luxury experience within a historic home. The backyard has a beautiful outdoor pool and private patio space.

Our house rules: not suitable for infants under 2, primary renter must be 30yrs or older, no smoking, no parties, no pets.
Young families are welcome to stay at Kincardine House. It's the perfect set up for 2 families, or an extended family holiday. Please note however, the house has not been baby proofed, and there are no safety gates on the stairs for toddlers.

Plenty of room for our doggies to run although they spent most of the time tethered since they are prone to wander! The beach is quite rocky but again very private so bring the water shoes. The private road in front is great for long walks with plenty of folks walking and exercising. It was a very pleasant experience for all of us and left us many fond memories. Highly recommended."

Retreat to the newer built in 2017, spacious cottage situated just above the beautiful Lake Huron. It is tucked away in a quiet neighbourhood in the community of Inverhuron and is close to the Inverhuron Provincial Park. Shallow rock beach below keeps the water warmer than in the other parts of the lake. Dip your feet in or sit on the backyard deck and gaze at mesmerizing sunsets.

Natural surroundings offer many activities for all tastes. Snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking, hiking, cycling are just some of them. Kids are especially going to love the Ice Cream Trail. Bring your boat there is a boat launch not far away.

Welcome to Sunset Peek! Located about a block and a half from both the beach and the town amenities, you can walk to everything! Our hometown hideaway is a 3 bed, 2 bath bungalow that we are thrilled to share with others. This stunning waterfront cottage nestled on 3 acres in a secluded bay on Lake Huron. You'll feel like you're worlds away from the city as soon as you arrive. Soak in the beauty of cottage country with a hike or a swim, and lounge by the water searching for the many fossils that get washed in with the waves. Keep an eye out for bald eagles or deer during your stay. Enjoy breathtaking sunsets and occasional northern lights right on the beach, under the covered porch, or from the comfort of the air-conditioned space inside.

This two year old home is designed to comfortably accommodate up to 10 people with 5 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, and two sets of pull-out couches. The main "great room" boasts extensive windows to take advantage of the 12' ceilings in the front of the cottage. The well-appointed kitchen features a 12' island, 48" gas range, and a 72" fridge/freezer, adding to the feel of staying in a truly great space. Everything in this home is clean and in great working order.

With two kitchens and living spaces, this cottage is perfect for multiple families or generations. Guests can choose to gather together in the main kitchen in the upper level or spread out and have breakfast on their own at a time that suits everyone best. Having enough space to both be together and spread out helps contribute to an ideal vacation for everyone.

MacGregor Park is just a short walk away, offering groomed trails and other amenities. There is no parking, gate, or admission on the side entrance, so when you enter here, you are entering a much less crowded area with more space to enjoy. Port Elgin is just 12 minutes away, where you can take advantage of the many restaurants, shopping, or spend a day enjoying ice cream and fries on the public beach. Beautiful Southampton is just another 10 minutes up the road if small beach towns are your thing.

There are also a couple of km of uninhabited water front that are perfect for a completely secluded waterfront walk.

There are only a few houses on the dead-end road so we usually had the whole beach to ourselves - it felt like we were somewhere remote at our own private getaway but with the conveniences of Port Elgin only 10 to 15min drive away with supermarkets, restaurants, Walmart, Canadian Tire etc. Heather and Graham were lovely, thoughtful hosts - easy to communicate with, responded quickly to questions and made us feel very welcomed. We spent every day using the canoes, paddleboards, looking for fossils, chilling and having sunset campfires. It was a wonderful holiday!"

There’s even a dedicated games and puzzle table, always ready for a new challenge or quiet bonding time.

OUTSIDE:
The back patio is your home base for relaxation and connection. You can start your morning with coffee on the “honeymoon deck”, sneak in a nap in the hammock, or cozy up with a book on the outdoor couch shaded by an umbrella.

When it’s time to eat, fire up the gas BBQ and gather around the 4-person patio table for easy family meals. The kids (and kids-at-heart) can run free in the yard, challenge each other to a game of ladderball, or chase the dog under the trees. As night falls, light the firepit, toast marshmallows, and let the conversation drift under the stars.

NOTE: 2 min walk to Lake access and approx. 25 stairs to the beach. The lakebed can be sandy or stoney depending on what the lake gives you that day. But it sure is fun to try to find the ever changing sandbars. Generally you will find sand 3ft out. It's fun to go stone collecting - Lake Huron is a geologists paradise! Just bring some water shoes. The nice thing is, it's not weedy or slimy at all.

Custom built Scandinavian style 1800 square feet log cottage on private 64 acres with rare 1200 feet waterfront. Logs for the home were harvested from the land and stones for the fireplace are from this lake!

Located just 12 minute drive from Port Elgin. Starlink internet included to make your work from home possible while vacationing at the cottage!

Water slope is gradual, suitable for swimming and small boating (no dock). Waterfront has sandy beach areas, pebble beach areas, and round-rock areas. (Water shoes required). We have one tandom kayak and one sit on kayak along with life jackets for your enjoyment of the lake.

Walk over to the adjacent MacGregor Point Provincial Park (3,000 acres), featuring sand beaches, groomed bicycle trails, boardwalks, hiking trails, renowned bird-watching venues and a look-out tower. On a hot sunny day, you’ll find the shade and coolness of the natural tree canopy to be a pleasant break from the sunny beach.

While relaxing on the spacious front deck, marvel at the gorgeous full view of Lake Huron and a front-row seat for the magnificent sunsets. In the evenings, enjoy the warmth of a campfire while roasting some s'mores on the lake!

Families and friends will connect in the open-concept of the great room (living/kitchen/dining), with hardwood floors throughout. Groups with differing ages or social styles will appreciate being able to split away into 2 separate living rooms.

Basement open space is also set up with a TV and a video game system.

Bonus items for entertainment: DVDs, blu rays, books, TV shows, Roku, Shaw direct satelite TV bundle with sports channels and many board games.

5-6 person hot tub is also available for you enjoyment throughout the whole year.

Furthermore, I (we) agree that I (we) will not make a claim against or sue the Owners of Dragonfly Cove Cottage, its agents, employees, family, or related entities, for any bodily injury, death, or property damage. I (we) understand that this is a release of Owner and agents from any and all liability with respect to any claims brought by invitees for any damage or injury.

Beautiful 2 bedroom home available from July 22 to August 11th 2024. Located just north of Kincardine near 23 & Con 5 and just a short 3 minute walk to the beach. This open concept home has a large living room with 55” smart TV, wood burning fireplace and cozy leather sofa / love seat. To keep things warm and comfortable we have a high efficiency Napoleon AC unit / furnace. One bedroom with a queen size bed, 2nd bedroom with a double bed. Our bunkie has a futon and bunk beds (double on bottom, single on top) perfect for the kids! One bathroom with modern shower. A murphy bed is available for additional guests. Full kitchen with all appliances and cookware including fridge with ice maker/water dispenser, double oven, dishwasher, built in microwave, water softener and RO drinking water. Combination mudroom, laundry with washer/dryer and office area. WiFi with high speed internet included. Napoleon Propane BBQ on rear deck, Traeger smoker and outdoor fireplace. Small dogs allowed and will have the run of the completely fenced in backyard.

The GOAT Lakehouse is the closest house to the water in Kincardine! The sunsets over Lake Huron are rated as some of the most beautiful sunsets in the world. The north Pier and beach is right out your sliding patio doors. We personally gutted the house and rebuilt the interior over a period of 2 years. Everything is custom built and very unique in this truly one of a kind property!
Absolutely breath taking views of the water from the open kitchen and bar area. The main floor master bedroom and the 2 upstairs bedrooms also offer lake views. Each bedroom has a queen size Sealy Posturepedic Hollycourt Queen Eurotop Mattress. In addition, one bedroom has bunkbeds for the kids.
The bar has 2 large windows that open out and upwards which gives you your own bar at the beach! All new stainless steel appliances. Cook up those meals you have be wanting to make. Large sun umbrella for the outside table. Charcoal Weber grill for grilling up some tasty meals.
