One big caveat: If you have difficulty with stairs, this is unfortunately not the place for you, because you need to use stairs to get to any room from the front or back doors of the building, AND you need to climb stairs to reach the bathroom inside your loft suite, even if you're sleeping in the downstairs bed. (At least that was the case for our room.) The public parking lot at the back of the building has several Chargepoint electric vehicle charging spots, though you need to pay for parking to use them (except on Sunday). The parking that's included with the room is across Ontario St. underground, and you are given a garage door clicker to get in and out (bring your room key to get into the pedestrian door from the street). If you are prone to "waking up with the sun", be aware that there are no room-darkening blinds to close on the large translucent window panels. "

When we went, there were toiletries like soap and lotion, as well as other bits like coffee grounds and lots of dishware and cutlery. The room was well air-conditioned and quite spacious, and the location is in good proximity to many shops and restaurants. We were able to easily head back to the inn midday for a quick break and head back out after! The hosts were also extremely accommodating and responsive to all communication. Most of our day time was spent by the private pond enjoying the quietness and nature. Swimming was fun as well as just sitting on the dock watching the sunrise, playing cards under the umbrella, or soaking in the rays serenaded by the frogs. Our hosts live very close by but we saw them only at check in (we got there early) and once more for a quick "howdy do!" while passing by. If we had any questions they were very quick to help within minutes via text. Seriously, if you have clicked on this property, book it! We plan on returning!"

A great country property nestled up against a forested area. This was once a barn that has been converted into the wonderful space that it is today. A small screened in patio off the back to enjoy the mornings. Wonderful hiking trails located just a 2 minute walk away. A common draw to the area is the world famous Stratford festival just a short 15 minute drive away. This is a great retreat from the city. The Country Nook is right beside our house. But offers a ton of privacy. If you have any questions or need something please don't hesitate to knock or send us a message. There is no cellphone service but wifi calling allows your cellphone to work normally. With your opening message will send you how to use it.
Please note we have 2 large dogs who are confined to our property via an Invisible Fence System. They do roam our property but are not permitted in the retreat unit. If you wish to meet them please let us know. Finally, we have security cameras that face the drive way and nook entrance. They do not look into the unit itself and are there to monitor the property only.
