There is an additional room and shower room all newly installed and furnished in the basement. Access is directly available from the basement to the lake and deck.

We have put a great deal of love and care into our cottage and are so happy to be sharing it with you; you might just leave a piece of your heart here. The property extends over 17,500 sq. feet, with 66 feet of shoreline, a dock that extends into the water, and a sun-deck near the shore, steps from the fire pit.

Getting here:
- if you don't want to drive, you can always catch the Ontario Northland bus from convenient locations in major cities. It will drop you off at and pick you up from a stop that's 2 mins. walk from the cottage.

The lake is:
- clean, free of rocks and weed. White clay bottom.
- shallow for nearly half a kilometre, after which it gets deep. Perfect for all!
- great for water sports and boating (kayaks and canoes available for rent within 10 mins. from the cottage; public dock just 2 mins. from the cottage).
- a great spot for fishing (we've got Rainbow Trout, Lake Trout, Smallmouth Bass, Rock Bass, and others).
- frozen in the winters for some pick up hockey, ice skating and ice fishing

The fire pit is:
- large, surrounded by several muskoka chairs and benches.

The hot tub:
- is located on one of the three patios.
- comfortably fits 8 people.
- has mosquito protective netting.
- is beautifully lit with string lights.

Patio 1 has:

There are 4 cameras on the outside of the property. The first one looks for at the front door, there are two that look on each side of the house, and one that faces the patio, backyard, and lake area.

Everything functioned well in the house. It was tastefully decorated with comfortable furniture in every room. We have never seen a rental property as well stocked with kitchen supplies (coffee, tea, bottled water, snacks, spices, milk for coffee/tea, dishes, etc.) as this one compared to places we have rented in Hawaii, New Orleans, BC, Florida, Paris, Italy, Japan and elsewhere. There were lots of plush towels in the bathrooms, comfortable beds and extra blankets. The host was extremely responsive to all enquiries. The location was perfect for all our activities in town. I highly recommend this property to anyone and particularly to families visiting with children."

This upstairs apartment is set up in a suite style. Queen memory foam mattress on a beautiful wooden bed frame, comfortable seating and a 49' LG Smart tv in the main room.

The bedroom or office (extra room) hosts a large executive desk and second Smart tv and a double hide a bed sofa. We can provide a topper for the bed.

The kitchen is stocked with all the appliances you will need for your stay.

Included is a sturdy dining table for eating or working.

We are not located on waterfront but have many lakes and rivers nearby to enjoy.

While we are close to the back country paddling access point into Algonquin Park, we are over an hour's drive away from the West Gate on Highway 60 in Muskoka. While it certainly is a drivable distance from our home to spend the day exploring the walking trails, museums and visitor's centre, we don't pretend to be a stone's throw away. We have had guests spend the day in Algonquin near Hwy 60 and then retire back to South River and the Almaguin Highlands region to enjoy other attractions here.

We have quiet neighbours but Cassells Street is a main thoroughfare. You can expect traffic sounds during busy hours. Having said that, we have set the unit up to reduce as much noise as possible.
