Nestled just outside Tomstown, ON, this charming Airbnb offers a unique stay in a converted grain storage building on one of the area’s original farms. The granary’s original frame and siding have been lovingly preserved, blending rustic charm with modern comfort. Inside, you’ll find a cozy queen bed, a sofa bed, and a full 4-piece bathroom. Enjoy stunning sunrises from the inviting front porch or gaze at the expansive sky around the bonfire. A peaceful and memorable escape awaits!
The space
Perfect spot for your summer get-away! The granary is located on a working farm, between the main house and barn. While the space is private and separate, it’s not in a secluded area, so there may be some farm activity nearby. Explore the woods and blaze a trail down to the Blanche River, take a stroll through the fields, or relax on the wraparound porch and enjoy the serene surroundings. We can’t wait to host you!
Guest access
Guests have exclusive access to the Granary and the open grassy area just south of it, next to the barn—perfect for relaxing outdoors.
Parking is located at the main house, and it’s approximately a 200ft walk to the Granary. If the weather is dry and you prefer, feel free to drive down the path and park in front of the Granary.
While the Granary is private and exclusively yours, please note it’s situated on a working homestead, so you will likely see and hear children and activity near the barn or main house during your stay.

Escape to the North and enjoy a relaxing getaway or an adventure-filled stay! Centrally located near stunning lakes, it’s the perfect spot to experience the beauty of Northern life and create lasting memories.
Things to know:
- We have good, unlimited wifi here through Starlink, but please know that cell phone reception isn't great. In the off chance that the wifi cuts out, reset the router by unplugging it and then plugging it back in.
- Bedding for the sofa bed and extra folding chairs are stored in the loft, accessed by a straight-up ladder in the bedroom area. Guests are welcome to use the loft but should exercise caution, as the ladder is steep and the loft railing does not have spindles. Please be mindful when in this space.
- If you are using the sofa bed, please be aware that the space in the main area is tight when the sofa bed is opened as it encroaches on the space where the table is located. You may wish to collapse the bed when not using it for sleeping in order to better move around in the main area.
- There are several very friendly and sociable cats at the farm. They love extra cuddles and will try to sneak into the granary if you let them. They do however have a very comfortable, insulated home at the house :)

Conveniently located steps away from Bay Lake, where you can enjoy year round fishing and beautiful sunsets from your private dock. You have access to a large private deck and BBQ just steps away from the water. The spacious main floor kitchen, dining and living area will give you all the comforts of home. The loft gives you a snap shot of one of the best views on the lake while comfortably sleeping 4 individuals or 3 couples. 4x4 capabilities required in winter.
The space
4x4 capabilities and winter tires are required in the winter months to navigate the snowy hills on the drive in.
Bay Lake Bunkie has 2 floors. The main floor provides a full kitchen, dining and living area, 3 piece bathroom and two points of entry, directly off the deck or adjacent to the parking area. Upstairs features a private queen bedroom and loft area offering an additional king, queen and daybed.

Guest access
Guests are welcome to explore the land surrounding the bunkie, to the left of the main house along with the laneway. The neighbouring property borders the bunkie, please be aware of the property line stakes to avoid trespassing.
Other things to note
Bay Lake Bunkie is located on a private hilly, gravel road which is maintained by the landowners. We see a considerable amount of snowfall, winter stays require 4x4 capabilities. Typically, the snow is here to stay late November, the ice is thick enough for snowmobiling and fishing by Christmas and starts to melt late March, early April.
Bay Lake is a fishing hot spot, if you choose to fish, please ensure you have the proper licensing and follow local limit guidelines.
We live on the property year round with our 2 children and small dog. We enjoy being outside, you will hear children playing and be greeted by our dog.
