You can challenge your outdoorsy nature and chill on the dock to catch some fish or cozy up with some marshmallows by the 2 outdoor fire areas.
You are provided a canoe and outdoor seating and games in the summer, sleds for the winter and firewood year round!

Rustic and quaint, this cabin is located on beautiful Bennett Lake with a private dock and canoe. Sheets and towels are always clean and fresh and we have everything you need to cook a homemade meal or bbq. Close to Perth Ontario in the heart of Lanark County. Perth area is known for its heritage buildings, boutique and antique shopping and maple syrup.

The water in front of the dock is ideal for fishing and gazing but swimming is recommended in the middle of the lake.

Your cabin sits on a big pond. The cabin is a new build of timber framed construction. It is well insulated and the inside lined in cedar boards all cut from the ours and the neighbours property.
Heated with a gas fireplace with a rocking chair in front to cozy up to. All the kitchen amenities are available- complimentary coffee tea and single serve condiments mustard ketchup jams peanut butter there is 2 coffee presses in kitchen and a stove top toaster you only have to bring your food! There is a propane cook range with oven.a BBQ on front deck You will be supplied with fresh drinking water in 5 gallon jugs that sit above sink in the kitchen and jugs of water for dishes and cleaning.always more if needed

Wake up to a beautiful view of the pond. You will get lots of birds at the feeder and deer coming in the evening- lots of turkeys as well on occasion in winter Ducks in spring summer and have had trumpeter swans on occasion a lot of other native wildlife on occasion owls Grouse raccoons squirrels and 3 types of woodpecker

The campfire pit is on edge of pond with a morning view of sunrise and evening view of moonrise. There's wood for campfire on site paper and kindling is under kitchen sink. Campfire chairs and picnic table available for use.A screened in gazebo during warmer weather months and a propane heated shower in non freezing months

Lanark village is only a short drive away with a general store/ LCBO /gas station and a breakfast and lunch served at village treats a pizza can even be delivered to driveway by lanark pizzeria

This custom built cabin is nestled amongst the pine trees on out 3 acre family property near Rideau Ferry, three minutes from Big Rideau and Lower Rideau Lakes. The cabin has a small living area downstairs with couch, work desk and small kitchenette complete with beautiful glass door woodstove to keep you cosy on the colder nights. Sleeping quarters are up in a loft above. Access is by ladder and head clearance is 48" in the middle so you need to be comfortable moving around on your knees. Bathroom access is 25 metres away inside the main house. Please note that while you have the cabin to yourself, the cabin is opposite our family home and we have three young boys who may be playing in the yard. Also, there is no plumbing to the cabin, but there is a sink with running water under gravity.

- "Online information false/misleading and the property is completely unsuitable for anyone with even minor mobility issues. I was booked for two nights but left after one and went to a motel. - notwithstanding what the website advertises, this cabin does NOT have a bathroom. A bathroom is available in the main house, 50 or so meters away. It is not separate from the host's living space (i.e. not private). To use the bathroom at night, you will need a flashlight (and an umbrella anytime it's raining). - although it advertises having a kitchen, there is no running water (cabin is not plumbed). There is a jug of water and a sink that drains into a bucket. - second floor loft bedroom has a ceiling only about 4 feet high. Average person cannot stand up to dress in that space. Extremely awkward moving around (hands and knees) - ladder from main floor to bedroom is an attic-style, pull down staircase. One can navigate reasonably well going up but descending its very steep slope is treacherous; it's an accident waiting to happen (nowhere near what the building code requires for staircases) - view from the cabin is the main house, a laundry line and parked vehicles Rustic in the extreme, but much better than a tent. For the price, would have expected much, much more. Probably OK for youthful, adventurous types. Hosts friendly. I get what they are doing but project poorly executed. "
