- "The house was stocked with the essentials like tin foil, plastic wrap, towels, wash clothes, hand towels, trash bags, and they had dishes in there with a dishwasher. You couldn't even do your laundry if you wanted to, which we ended up using and was fabulous. So we came home with clean clothes instead of a huge amount of dirty clothes. The owners were very very helpful, we had an issue with one of the AC units and they replaced it as well as any other questions I may have had. They were quick to respond and get back to me. Oh, if you're interested in fishing, there is a private lake right nearby where you can fish without having a license in New York, which is awesome. We took advantage of that every day. Almost after dinner. I would go back again. I really like to layout of the house. And they made us feel welcome without even being there it was amazing. 10/10 rating. Thank you again for a great visit. There is no smart TVs, but they do have cable. I was able to find that out in advance that they didn't have a smart TVs so I brought our Roku to stream shows."

Original 2 bedroom log cabin on the Ausable River. This charming log cabin is located on Hulls Falls Road, a quiet back road, that is picturesque perfect. You will find some of the area's best swimming, scenery, and fly fishing in the area.
The cabin has a beautiful river rock fireplace in the spacious living room which makes for a great meeting room for games, conversation, and relaxation. There are 2 bedrooms, each with a queen bed, and one full bathroom with a walk in shower and one half bath, both recently renovated. The living room also has 1 fold out futon.
The kitchen boasts authenticity with a unique antler light fixture, exposed beams, all wrapped in natural wood. Everything you might need for preparing your own meals is stored away in the abundant kitchen cabinets. Two coffee makers, a microwave, mixer, blender, wine glasses, etc it is all there for your use.
The lush outdoors invites you to sit and enjoy the sights and sounds while sitting on the screened porch or the detached deck overlooking the river. There is plenty of room for setting up your volleyball or badmitton net, or throw a few frisbies around on the open playground next to the river. An open firepit is great for long summer evening conversations or roasting marshmallows with the kids.

If one is looking to accommodate additional guests there is a comfortable queen-sized futon, with extra thick mattress, situated in front of the glass-fronted wood stove. Though the guests who choose to sleep on the futon will not have a traditional bed, they will however, have the experience of falling asleep in front of the fireplace while gazing up into the beautiful post and beam rafters.

The neighborhood is called Ausable Acres where each home is separated from its neighbors by trees thereby offering considerable privacy. The Acres has a lake, miles of trails for hiking or cross-country skiing and a picnic pavilion area. For fisherpersons, there is access to the Ausable river less than two miles away. Within three miles is a Top’s Supermarket, Stewart’s Gas and Convenience store, movie theatre, pizzeria and liquor store.
The interior of the cabin is constructed with tongue and groove knotty pine throughout. The bedroom has a new queen size log bed. The bathroom is newly remodeled. There is a sitting area with a wood stove, kitchen, dining area, a desk with ample room for writing in your journal or laptop and an area with comfy chairs for just relaxing. The home has a three-zone electric heating system, so a wood fire is optional. There are two USB charging stations and high-speed internet. The kitchen has an electric cooktop, oven, microwave, refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker, electric tea kettle, dishes and lots of cookware that allow our guests to prepare a home cooked meal or breakfast. In warmer months enjoy relaxing on the front porch or cooking on the gas grill in the side yard which also has a picnic table.
Our cabin is designed for one or two guests. Absolutely no pets are allowed. The loft is not accessible. Please note that neighborhood has a 10pm quiet rule.

Our rustic, Brookside cabin with its old-world charm, consists of 2 bedrooms. The master bedroom with wonderful Adirondack décor and king size bed is adjacent to a huge master bathroom , cathedral ceilings , sunken tub overlooking the brook , free standing shower , antique trimmings . Also adjacent to master bedroom is a charming library with views of colorful flowers in spring/summer and Christmas trees in winter . A pull out couch that sleeps 2 . The second bedroom consists of 2 queen size beds. Adjacent to this is another bathroom completely renovated with high ceilings, large shower and antique trimmings. Complete kitchen with vaulted pine ceilings,*Just renovated ..sub zero refrigeration under counter.. quartz counter top ..state of the art appliances with beautiful views of the brook ** The third bathroom sits adjacent to the kitchen with full bath amenities. The washer and dryer is also adjacent to the kitchen wrap around large windows with virws of the brook .Dining room offers a full view of the brook through wall to wall windows, cathedral ceilings with pine and bark and a 12 foot long antique table to enjoy your Brookside dinning. The Great Room is a charming, cozy, romantic and relaxing place with a large stone fireplace, velvet couch, Indian blankets and comfortable chairs. Huge deck facing Whiteface Mountain and Lake Placid is partially screened in and a cozy place to sit allowing you to enjoy sounds of the babbling brook and scenic views in any weather.
Brookside is located in the Whiteface club resort area . Simply beautiful any time of the year ! Spring/ Summer an abundance of flowers . - "Liked the separate bedrooms-considered it 2 masters. Uncertain what we could do on the property as it was part of a golf course community but since we were going there for a sporting event I never researched. So check before you go. There were restaurants on site. There is a trailhead/hike a close walk from the cabin. Had a nice stay. Relaxing place." - "House was clean, comfortable, well located" - "Such a beautiful home! This was our third time staying at Brookside Cottage and it is even lovelier than our last visit.
