- "This lovely renovated boathouse delights with gorgeous views of Tupper Lake as well as creature comforts. It was perfect for our group of 4 (2 couples). The Adirondack themed furniture was a cut above in comfort. The kitchen was likewise better equipped than most rentals we have stayed in providing everything needed for preparing meals. We would definitely consider renting The Boathouse for future stays." - "The cabin was the perfect setup for boating. It was great being able to park my boat under the cabin out of the rain and weather. The owner was very accommodating and responded to all our inquiries. The cabin came equipped with all basic necessities, and the decor was quintessential Adirondack style. So much care and detail was put into decorating the cabin, and it made for a truly memorable vacation. Our family enjoyed one full week of boating and fishing on the lake. There is a huge fire pit that our boys used to make s’mores. We took a few trips to town for donuts at the Washboard and ice cream at the Skyline. We loved being on the water, and enjoyed nightly visits from a couple of loons. We made a trip to nearby Blue Mountain Lake to visit the Adirondack museum. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!"

- "Full equipped Kitchen with plenty of downstairs space. Stayed in 3rd floor bedroom which was very comfortable, loved the moonlight through the window. 3rd Floor bathroom looked recently remodeled, loved the walk in shower. Used the like new Genesis Grill on the deck which was awesome. The only real disappointment was the state of the outdoor deck furniture. With a deck furniture update, at this price point, it would be in my totally awesome category."

Even a high chair for us." - "This is an amazing house/property with a very thoughtful and attentive owner/caretaker. We cannot recommend it enough! My large extended family spent a week here in August. The house itself is excellent condition, very well-appointed, and completely clean. The view of the lake is breathtaking and visible from the large deck, porch, and many windows in the house. There are a lot of amenities, including a large and well-designed firepit, kayaks, canoe, dock, and game room. It is situated in a quiet neighborhood so very peaceful, but also near to the three towns in the area. The owner and caretaker were very easy to deal with and responsive to questions and issues we had. A truly remarkable vacation destination, we loved it!"

- "This is an amazing house and the pictures don't do it justice! We were celebrating a 90th birthday with 5 family units and 14 people. Walking in the house there was an immediate feeling of one of the old Adirondack 'great' camps. The house is immense and there are different 'wings' so there was privacy for each family unit. Most of the rooms even had sitting areas in addition to a bathroom. On the listing it showed a couple of rooms as a queen and two twins but it was actually a queen room, sitting area and then room with two twins which was perfect for our family that had kids. The kitchen was huge and allowed for many people at one time for food prepping/cooking/cleaning. To have two refrigerators and two dishwashers was amazing!! The game room was filled with so many games and the TV room next to the kitchen had at least a 100 movies! The library room and pool table was a favorite area at night for the adults. So many windows looked out at the lake which was beautiful. There was a nice fire pit and beach area with kayaks also. Craig, the owner, was very helpful with any questions I had and was a pleasure to speak to. I highly recommend this house to a big group- you won't be disappointed!"

Hit the beach on the way back, very clean, had lifeguards and designated swimming for all ages. Highly recommend this house for your Tupper Lake visit!" - "This home was perfect for us! Very close to The Wild Center which was the focus of our trip. The home was very clean and comfortable. It was better supplied than my own apartment! The host thought of everything that might be needed and even provided a list in his Base Camp Guide. It was also very nice to be able to walk into town. If you MUST work, the upstairs bedroom/office desk lets your spread out, and get it done in the natural light. A second desk and community dining table on the main floor provide more than enough space for productivity.
Winter time: The Lake House is on a hill with a considerable driveway and we never know how much snow we're going to get in the winter, so if you are visiting in the winter you will need a Four Wheel Drive Vehicle and boots and/or Yak Trax! There are pictures in the listing. It is usually plowed in the winter, but is in a very remote location. Worst case scenario may require walking the driveway until plowman can arrive. Please CONTACT US with any questions.
Camera (motion activated, no sound) on the front of the house is aimed at the driveway so that we may monitor the snow/condition, safety, and pass-ability of the driveway.
Be advised: This camp is deep in the woods. You may see signs of Moose, mice, bears and bugs. We have hummingbirds just off the back deck, and a chipmunk who comes and visits on the deck. The house is on a hill surrounded by tall trees. If this is too rustic for your style, you may choose a home in a more civilized setting! Most of our guests love it for it's rustic authentic ADK setting, but you must make your decision knowing that this is a rustic forest setting in a beautiful lake community. Also, while your pets are welcome, (and loved) at our home and on our property, they are NOT allowed on community property, particularly at the beach.
Guest access
Guests have the use and exclusive access to the entire main house including 4 bedrooms, two baths, open kitchen/dining room/living room, Open deck and screened in porch, and unfinished basement main access with water toys and second refrigerator.
The community waterfront is a 1 minute drive, or 4 minute walk away, or bike. Guests have use of the beach, lounge chairs, picnic tables, docks, boat ramp, and two fire pits: one at the community beach, and one off the deck at the home. A boat slip is available with prior arrangement, 19' maximum length, NO pontoon boats (TOO wide).

Large screened in back deck, saw lots of hummingbirds feeding on the Bee Balm! Very nice beach area, we used the canoe and kayaks. Bruce is very responsive and generous with his time. Great location for touring some Adirondack highlights." - "Bruce was great to work with. The house was ready for us, and despite a lot of snow just before our arrival, Bruce had the driveway plowed and clean. The driveway is pretty steep so 4wd is recommended in the winter. - "Wonderful house to spend a week. Where are you feel away from it all but are relatively close to everything. Really warm home that is well decorated but not cluttered. Modern conveniences, great stargazing, attentive host and a beautiful lake to kayak in. We definitely would come back!" - "This is a well appointed house with plenty of options to keep you entertained when it rains…which it did a lot of during our stay! The pond is a network of small waterways that makes for great kayaking, though it’s a bit mucky for swimming."

Camp Idylwilde is a year-round home nestled in 4+ secluded acres on the shore of crystal clear Gull Pond. The completely private, winterized cabin has mountain views and is situated on 600 feet of waterfront, surrounded by tall pines. You have to look hard to see signs of other houses or people. The property offers ample space for meandering exploration and quiet solitude. The cabin's open architecture creates a great environment for families to gather together and enjoy the restorative, natural setting of the property.
Gull Pond, known for its pristine water quality, is a private, 1-mile long, glacial lake, near the village of Tupper Lake. It is a non-motorized body of water with excellent fishing and unsurpassed privacy. The lake covers more than 350 acres and is supplied by natural springs with a depth of 75 feet.
In the spring of 2021, the decor was expertly updated with an eclectic and contemporary mix of mid-century modern furniture and location inspired, whimsical art. Every room is a delight with interesting details. There are beds for 10 people, with three comfortable bedrooms and a spacious sleeping loft. The fully appointed kitchen has a island and looks out toward the dining area and great room. The vaulted ceilings allow two stories of windows to flood these areas with light and provide views of the water and leafy green surroundings. Two wood burning stoves in the living areas provide an atmosphere and warmth. The stairs go up to an open sleeping loft, or you can step down into a second family room area, with couches and a flat-screen TV. The entire downstairs is lined with windows looking out to the water and mountains as well as sliding doors providing access to the deck that spans most of the width of the house. Off the great room and adjoining the deck is a comfortable and inviting, screened in porch that you won't want to leave.
Camp Idylwilde is the perfect combination of peaceful Adirondack beauty and access to 4-seasons of recreational activities. Summer activities are endless. Swimming, canoeing, boating, fishing, hiking, mountain climbing, mountain biking - just to name a few. Winter activities include snowmobiling, skiing, snowshoeing, or reading your book by the fire. (PLEASE NOTE: Ice fishing is NOT ALLOWED on Gull Pond) There is a canoe, two kayaks and two paddleboards available. Please note that due to invasive species renters are asked to NOT bring their own boats to Gull Pond. Paddling on Gull Pond is awe-inspiring. You will look up to stunning views of the mountains and peer into the clean, clear water. You can even fish the pond from your paddle boat or just listen for the loons. The foliage in the fall will take your breath away.
There are plenty of things to do in the vicinity. The village of Tupper lake is a 15-minute drive away so you're never far from supplies and amenities or a night out at a local bar or restaurant. Visit https://www.tupperlake.com/ the Tupper Lake website for more on local activities, eateries and shops. Another favorite attraction for families is the new https://www.wildcenter.org/ Wild Center in Tupper Lake. Check out the https://www.adirondackexplorer.org/stories/adirondack-rail-trail Adirondack Rail Trail for a great way to explore the lesser-known ponds and vistas. https://www.lakeplacid.com/ Lake Placid is an hour away and provides a full days-worth of sightseeing, shopping and dining.

Experience Camp Sunrise on Upper Saranac Lake, an unparalleled Adirondack lakeside retreat with more than 110 years of history!
After a fire tragically took down the original 110-year old structure in 2019, the current owners, who have held the property for some 6 decades, have fully re-imagined this new build to maximize Upper Saranacs' stunning lake and sunrise views. Undoubtedly, there is no better place to welcome the day than on the deck of Camp Sunrise.
Boasting five bedrooms, three full bathrooms, and two half baths - Camp Sunrise is true luxury at the lake.
Guests will enjoy a sun-filled great room with cathedral ceilings and an open floor plan. Complete with a state-of-the-art gourmet kitchen, lake view dining room, and a ten-person dining table - perfect for family-style dinners.
Just off the great room, a spacious screened-in porch is the premiere spot to enjoy a cocktail hour, rainy day, or a casual summer BBQ.
Special attention to accessibility was paid to ensure the entry-level king suite does not require guests to use the stairs. In addition, the ensuite bathroom has a wide, low-lip shower - ideal for those wishing to avoid steps into a tub.
On the upper floors, guests will find three bedrooms and a "work from home space" that will be the envy of any zoom meeting. The bedrooms include an ensuite king bedroom, a twin room (with half bath), and a bunk room with two sets of twin bunks.
The spacious lower level has a TV den with an Amazon Fire TV that you can log into your streaming services, a bedroom with two twins, and a full bath.
Outside - visitors will enjoy a boathouse with a dock, complete with canoes, kayaks, and paddleboards. After a sun-filled day of swimming, they can enjoy roasting s'mores in the spacious fire pit/BBQ.
Guests of Camp Sunrise also have access to the private, Sekon association with sandy beach and gradual walk-in lake access (perfect for families with little ones!).
A short walk from the property, guests can adventure on short-nature walks, which leads to beautiful views of Panther, Arab, and Coney mountains.
Guests are 15-20 minutes from downtown Saranac Lake, 15 minutes to Tupper Lake, and 35 minutes to Lake Placid.
During the summer months, Camp Sunrise rents on a weekly Saturday to Saturday schedule.
This property will consider allowing ONE trained and well behaved dog with an additional pet fee.

We're also working on improvements like a new parking lot and a trail system for our Maple Syrup program, including our cozy sugar shack.
Our farmhouse is a rustic, vintage property with original windows and rooms, which we've made some updates to, though we're still working on renovations. Being in a rural area, it's possible you may encounter some bugs or mice, but we do our best to maintain a comfortable environment. You might also spot wildlife such as turkeys and deer nearby.
To help keep our rates affordable, we've removed the cleaning fee, but please know we appreciate your understanding of the natural, rural setting. We hope you enjoy your stay and the peaceful, farm-fresh experience!

The upstairs boasts three bedrooms that share a bath, and the house is bathed in sunlight within the tree top canopy. Two of the bedrooms are "semi-private".
There is a picture in the listing. This is plowed in the winter, but is in a very remote location.
Most of our guests love it for it's rustic authentic ADK setting.

Guests have the use and exclusive access to the entire main house including 4 bedrooms, two baths, open kitchen/dining room/living room, Open deck and screened in porch, and unfinished basement main access with water toys and second refrigerator.
