Take extra caution when walking from the driveway to the front door in the winter as the walkway can be slippery, especially in ski boots. Should you need them, shovels and ice melt are provided.

Zeb's General Store or the Old Village Bakery! Cranmore Mountain Resort is a 10 minute walk in the other direction plus easy access to great mountain biking trails and the paved Rec Path. The Conway Scenic Railroad in the village is a 10 minute walk down the well-lit sidewalks. Story Land is a 10 minute drive. We're a quick 15 minute drive to Attitash Mountain Resort and 20 minutes to Wildcat and Pinkham Notch and Mt. Washington. You can take a lazy canoe, kayak or tube down the Saco River (First Bridge beach on the Saco is 1 mile away) and we have camp chairs and beach towels available. Welcome to the UpCountry Guest House. This beautiful center hall colonial home and guest house was built at the turn of the century. Our Austrian grandfather bought it in 1950 for our family to gather and to ski at Cranmore Mountain using the Alberg technique brought from Austria by Hannes Schneider in the late 1930's. Our grandparents and parents had been skiing in the area as far back as the mid 1930's at a ski tow in Jackson at the Spruce Mountain Lodge. We would like to welcome you to share in the memories of this beautiful area and the comfort of our home.

The guest house has an open concept first floor that includes an updated kitchen, a cozy entertaining area centered around the fireplace and a dining area with beautiful views of the of the property and the Moat Mts. It has a large picture window at the sink that looks onto the fieldstone patio in the back of the property. It is tastefully decorated with antiques and a bit of memorabilia from the area. The upstairs has two bedrooms, a King size bed in one and a Queen in another. The bathroom has a traditional tub/shower combo.

The guest house is on the left side of the main house attached by a breezeway. A family member will always be at the property to welcome you and to answer any questions regarding the area and the many amenities.

It is a quick few minutes walk to the charming village that has fabulous restaurants and boutique shops. The famous outlets are a few minutes drive south down Route 16. Cranmore is 1/2 a mile away, a great family mountain that provides many types of outdoor activity and entertainment. Wildcat, Attitash and Bretton Woods ski areas are 15-30 minutes north.

There are many cross country trails throughout the area, rock and ice climbing, ice skating, snow shoeing, snowmobiling and just about any other outdoor activity you can imagine. The area is a winter wonderland!

In the summer, there are several golf courses, lakes and rivers to swim, kayak or canoe. White Mountain National Forest has a large network of hiking trails and huts. There is Storyland for families and many other attractions. We call it La La Land!

- "My boyfriend and I thought the house was perfect. Very clean with everything provided (except food of course) that you would have at your own house. The location was perfect. Close to downtown and the trails were only yards away. Great walking trails out to Echo Lake or a tougher climb to the ledge. We didn't attempt that one. Dianas bath was close by also. We did have an up close and personal meeting with a bear who tried relocating the bear proof trash barrel by the door. Don't know who was more scared us or him. All in all it was an amazing week and I hope we can stay there next year."

Centrally located in North Conway, enjoy an electronically gated 40 acre property featuring beautiful View’s of Mt. Washington and the Presidential mountain range. Minutes to the base of Mt. This upstairs guest house is supplied with linens, dish wear , full kitchen, living area and 2 bedrooms. (2) 2nd level decks provide great views of the animals and the sun setting over the mountains. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other has twin bunk beds. Washer and dryer also provided.

The guest house is above the barn, but the horses do not stay in that barn. We use it for hay and tack storage. There are private walking trails along the property, a brook pool for wading in the Summer and we provide sleds in the winter for downhill sledding.

There is patio furniture on the screened in farmers porch to enjoy 3 seasons. The courtyard has a hot tub, grill and fire pit!

30$ per night for 1 dog. Must clean up all pet waste and keep off all furniture or bring your own covers for beds & couch. If there’s dog waste left behind anywhere or excess dog fur or other signs of the dog on furniture the extra cleaning fee that our cleaner charges us will be charged to you.

Please be advised-- the bedrooms are connected which is better suited for families and close friends. (To get to the queen bedroom you must walk through the bunk bedroom.) We have installed a curtain divider for better privacy!

Our cabin is serviced by a private well with a water treatment system, ensuring water is safe for showering and cooking. For drinking, we recommend using bottled water, as the well water may occasionally have an unpleasant odor or taste (though we drink it without issue). The hot tub, filled with treated well water, is thoroughly cleaned and balanced between each guest to ensure a refreshing experience, though minor staining or scale may occur due to the natural mineral content.

This is a Cabin in the woods of New Hampshire. There may be bugs and other wild life outside of the cabin depending on the season. Bugs & other wild life may end up in the house if the doors are kept open too long. We do have a monthly subscription to keep the pests at a minimum.

There are security cameras on property. Disabling and/or tampering with them is a violation of the rules and subject to cancellation with no refund.

Camera 1 is a spotlight facing outward, toward the porch.
Camera 2 is a spotlight located on the side, facing outward toward the driveway.
Camera 3 is a spot light located on the home facing the yard and swing.
Camera 4 is a spot light located on the garage facing the driveway.
The cameras do not look into any interior spaces or the private courtyard. The cameras actively record video when motion is detected by the device. The cameras are used for security of our property including; confirm the cleaners have arrived, necessary maintenance has been performed, guests have checked in / out at the correct time, there aren't any unauthorized guests or pets and all rules have been followed.

The Cabin is located on a 5mph private dirt road. 4X4 / AWD may be necessary in winter / spring. Please be advised it can get dusty when it’s dry and muddy when it is wet!

There is a beach on the Saco that is a 15 minute walk. There is no parking down at the beach as it is private to the neighborhood. If you’re interested in walking to the beach let me know and i can explain how to get there!

Hiking and biking guides, ski poles and toboggan available to borrow. Toboggan/mush wagon has harness for snow machine.

This over-garage studio has a private entrance, a queen-sized bed, a futon, gas fireplace, kitchenette & bathroom. There is a refrigerator/freezer, microwave, coffeemaker & toaster but no oven/stovetop. There is a small gas grill available May-Oct. We have beautiful mountain views & are located 10 minutes from downtown. NOTE: Our driveway is long and steep. 4WD/AWD vehicles are often needed to safely get up our driveway in the winter. Also, you will hear the garage door when it opens & closes.

The space
We are dog friendly to friendly dogs! If you want to bring your furry friend please let us know. There will be an additional charge of $25 that you can pay when you are here. We have two dogs of our own. They are both Bernese Mountain dogs named Rocky and Chloe. Both are friendly!

Please note that our driveway is about 0.2 mile long with a steep grade. While we keep it as clear as we can, in the winter four wheel drive or all wheel drive is often needed to safely get to the house. If you visit in the winter please be sure to come in a vehicle that will allow you to make it up the driveway. Also, because the space is above our garage you will hear the garage door open when we come and go.

You will have access to the full unit above the garage, the small deck on the back, and the Adirondack chairs near the path that leads to the entrance.

Other things to note
We don’t have cable but provide access to Fubo TV, through which you can watch all the major channels and many others you would typically find on cable. (Honestly, we don’t even notice that we don’t have traditional cable anymore!) You can also sign into any streaming services to which you belong through the television.

We retired several years ago and moved to N. Conway Village. This house was hand built by Otto Scholl who was a ski instructor at Cranmore Mt. back in the 50s. He worked with Hannes Schneider who is famous in N. Conway. Otto built the house with three units which he used for friends and family when they visited from Austria. In this unit we cannot accommodate pets.
This unit has been renovated and was updated last year. It's very comfortable and when family is not up, we rent it.

The space
The Studio is next to a two bedroom one bath unit which is usually rented out, but can be added to this unit to make a 3 Bedroom 2 bath 2 kitchen and a 2 living room unit. Sorry, no pets in this unit as we also share this with friends and family who have pet allergies. Plenty of parking!. Walk to North Conway Village where there are numerous restaurants, bars, coffee shops, Conway Scenic Railroad, North Conway Country Club Golf Course, a children's playground and community center and many specialty shops.
This unit has a high end queen bed which is fairly new and super comfortable.
A complete kitchen and shower bath.

Guest access
You will have the whole unit which also has a small patio with chairs and a table. There is a combination lock on the door for easy access. The unit also has a back entrance which leads through the garage where you will have access to trash barrels. There is also supply cabinets where there are additional kitchen items such as deep fryers, Insta Pots, etc. We have everything you could need. "If you can't find it, ask and I will get for you."
Again as a reminder, there are no pets allowed in this unit.

Our home is located on the backroad of Gods country! Nestled away from the road, set upon a crest of land overlooking a 180 degree views of Mt Cranmore, Mt Kearsarge, and Mt Washington. Located on the Saco River just across the fields. Wildlife is seen all around at different times.

The space
Our home and location is quiet, spacious and clean. Our home sets a panoramic view of the White Mountains to enjoy from each window. We value our home and love to share it with others. We have our bed, bath and den on south side of home, while up stairs in our new 2nd floor, you are enjoying a private bed and private bath. Continental breakfast available in the morning. Hiking, biking, swimming, and outlets galore are all popular in our area. An extra added bonus for those who choose our place is, if you rent kayaks, tubes or canoes, you can pull out of river behind our home and walk across field to your room.

We love to spend time getting to know our guests when time is available. Our living room is a great place to relax.
