Our private Cozy House has just been renovated! We put in a new kitchen, bathroom, laundry room, and a big 4k smart tv. It's in a friendly neighborhood located in the heart of Waterville only five minutes from Colby College, Thomas College (by car) and just a few minutes from downtown Waterville. Everything is very close to our location. There's a Hannafords nearby, Maine General Hospital and many restaurants, schools and stores. We are located on a private dead-end driveway.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. This is a three-story apartment building with three separate living spaces divided by floors. The second floor is this Airbnb rental, offering guests a comfortable, convenient, private place to stay. Upstairs, on the third floor is another separate Airbnb apartment.

You will have access to the entire second floor, which includes the apartment, sunroom, washer, and dryer. The washer and dryer are located in the hallway just outside the apartment on the second floor. This is the only amenity that is shared with the Airbnb guests staying on the third floor.

Children are always welcome. We have a pack and play for your convenience. Feel free to bring your little ones and any additional baby or kid gear you may need.

No cleaning fees-A cozy 3-bedroom, 1-bathroom house, ideal for construction crews, is conveniently located near several colleges, including Colby. It's within walking distance to excellent dining options, The 107 Store, & the two cent pub. A footbridge provides easy access to Waterville's nightlife. The Alfond cancer treatment center and the city of Augusta is just 20 miles away.

Waterville is a small town just off the interstate in Central Maine and is approximately an hour from all major cities, the mountains, the coast, and about
2 1/2+-hrs to Acadia.
The rental is in a residential neighborhood less than a mile from the interstate, Colby, restaurants, shopping, movies, and parks. There are many recreational opportunities nearby to walk/run, hike, bike, and/or kayak.
The apartment has a private entrance, on the second floor (13 stairs up) in an owner occupied duplex.

The space
The one bedroom rental apt. Is in a older, 1932, New England home originally built as a duplex. There is driveway parking and a private entrance. The apartment is up a flight of stairs (13 steps to be exact) on the second floor of a duplex. Your hosts live on the first floor. The rental is fairly spacious, approx. 700 sqft.
The living room has a a Roku TV with access to several paid channels, futon couch, and a poang chair.
The dining area has a old fashioned metal topped table with three chairs.
The bedroom has a queen bed (former guests have rated as comfortable), bureau, and closet.
The kitchen has cooking/eating utensils, Keurig, toaster, blender, microwave, stove, and fridge.
The bathroom has an old fashioned claw foot tub with a shower. Just a note, the tub is higher than a built in tub. One must be able to step up, and down, appropriately 2’.

Guest access
Guests can use most of the upstairs apt. All except for two rooms which are locked and for storage.

Other things to note
Many pple have commented on the claw foot tub after they’ve stayed. Some pple love it some do not. The reality is that the older tub is a bit higher than the standard tub, one must be able to step up about 2 feet and step down 2 feet to get in and out. We realize this tub is not for everyone!

- We’re still working on perfecting our weather-controlling superpower, but until then, we are unable to provide refunds for storms and power outages.

PET POLICIES/GUIDELINES
- We accept dogs (max of 1), but do not accept cats.
- Pet fee is a one time fee per pet unless staying greater than 30 days
- To prevent damages, pets are not allowed on furniture or beds. Please bring your own pet's bedding or crate for their comfort.
- Whenever possible, please crate pets when not home.
- Please be sure your dog is on a leash at all times when outdoors and pick up all pet waste in the yard during your stay.

The space
The house was built in 1910 and is located on a main street in Winslow. The available apartment is on the second floor, and is a beautiful, 2 bedroom apartment where one has been made to the office with a daybed.

The heat pump acts as heater AND air conditioning - all you have to do is raise or lower the temperature (using the remote on the wall opposite the TV) to your requirements.

Guest access
The whole apartment is available, with the exception of the housekeeping storage located in the bathroom.
Outside, utilize any of the items for cooking: smoker, grill or griddle or any of the seating available.

Other things to note
Please note that under the hood vent are two FireStoppers, which are only there as a precaution. Cooking can easily be done under them, but please refrain from creating flames under them, as that will activate them. Heat from the stove will not activate them.

The bathroom is equipped with a motion sensor for the light (due to the location of the light switch far from the door) - as soon as you enter the bathroom, the light comes on automatically (if it senses low light from the window). The light will turn off automatically too.
Especially during winter months, it may be wise to leave the door open to bring heat in the area.
Please leave the shower curtain liner inside the tub - it’s there for your safety and to prevent costly repairs.

If deciding to add spice to your life when cooking, please mount the used spice jar(s) on the refrigerator, so we can ensure the next guest has access to a full jar as well.

November 15 - April 15
No parking is allowed on the street per city ordinance, which causes the parking area to be more occupied. If leaving before 7:00 in the morning, you may park in front of any cars in the driveway, if that’s easier.

This third-floor apartment has a large, spacious bedroom with a memory foam queen mattress. Fall asleep streaming your favorite shows on the bedroom smart TV. In the living area, there is a futon that can be utilized for sleeping if needed. However, it's worth noting that although functional, it may not offer the most comfortable experience. High-speed internet and a dedicated workspace are included, a must for those traveling business professionals. Central in location, you will be a five-minute drive to Main Street restaurants and entertainment, the YMCA, Thomas College, and Colby College. Fall and winter are great times of year to enjoy the nearby walking trails for hiking and cross-country skiing.

This is a unique building and the apartment is set up for economical stays. We're regularly making upgrades, improvements and taking advice from residents and guest on how to make this funky little onclave of Waterville's 'Old Town' hip and interesting.

The owner of this unit travels regularly, but keeps a tidy place that is perfect for the remote worker: fast internet, one bedroom converted into a reading room (complete with aromatherapy difuser, futon couch and basic reading armchair.
The space comes with everything you need to settle in and relax including a cute dining table and full kitchen accessories.
Great water pressure and a dedicated hot water heater makes this a quaint spot in the buiding!

Our private Cozy House has just been renovated! We put in a new kitchen, bathroom, laundry room, and a big 4k smart tv. It's in a friendly neighborhood located in the heart of Waterville only five minutes from Colby College, Thomas College (by car) and just a few minutes from downtown Waterville. Everything is very close to our location. There's a Hannafords nearby, Maine General Hospital and many restaurants, schools and stores. We are located on a private dead-end driveway .

The space
Guests check themselves into our Airbnb using the August smart lock app. We installed Nest door bell camera for us to see our guests arriving and for safety of the property and if they press the bell we can say Hello to each other. We don't live in the area, but we work nearby if guests need any assistance.

Stay in an historic mid-century Deckhouse within walking distance of downtown Waterville. One-bedroom, newly remodeled. Natural light illuminates every room from the spacious windows, or draw the blackout blinds for maximum privacy. The sitting room with futon looks into the woods where you may see turkey and deer. Covered parking for your winter visits.

Owners live on premises with friendly dog, often outside with the owners. Do not book if you are extremely allergic or afraid of dogs.

Downstairs walk-out apartment with lots of natural light in every room. Entrance in back of home. Patio is shared with owners.
