The only issue was that even though we were given an accessible room (none of require accessibility option), the light switches were low, but everything else was quite high. The coat rack was very high, so even my shorter friend needed my help putting their coat up. This is not an issue for us, but I could see this being an issue if someone who did need an accessible option were to stay in this room. Overall though, everythinf was fantastic."

My house is located at the center of Central Square in Cambridge, a 20-minute walk to Harvard and MIT. 7 minutes walk to the Red Line subway station( Central Station)

Whole Foods grocery is just 5 minutes away, shops and restaurants, City Hall, banks, and post office are all within walking distance.

Subway and buses are nearby to go to Boston and the surrounding towns. My street is safe and one-way with very little traffic at night so you will have a quiet environment for a good night's sleep.

This Queen-size bedroom suite is located away from other bedrooms in the house, offering privacy from other rooms in the house. Your child between 6-18 is welcome to stay in the bedroom with you for free. There is a single-size airbed for him or her. It is not for an unrelated adult.

Owner Wendy lives on the third floor, away from the guest bedrooms. There is another guest bedroom suite on the 2nd floor, not connected to your bedroom.

The first floor is a spacious area containing the kitchen, living room, and dining room that are shared with the owner and other guests. It is a common area for cooking, dining, and mingling with the owner and other guests.

You will enjoy this private bedroom suite on the 2nd floor and share the kitchen, living room, and dining room on the first floor.

Your attached bathroom has a jetted bathtub with a shower, which provides relaxation after a busy day trip. There is also a 45-inch TV, two closets, a dresser, a sofa chair, and a small working desk for your convenience.

There is an outside deck by the bedroom hallway with a table and chairs for relaxing and viewing the street scenes. There is also an outside deck by the kitchen area on the first floor with a table and seats for breakfast or lunch.

Two parking spaces are available for guests in the backyard and a guest parking permit on the streets. Please reserve parking prior your arrival.

You will use the lockbox to enter the house (a passcode will be provided after booking), two sets of keys are provided in your room. The bedroom is equipped with a chain lock.

There is a convenience store that had everything we needed just a little pricey. I think there are some closer grocery stores just may have to take an Uber or find one close to a stop on the T. - "Our Son stayed here while attending a MIT Beaverworks Summer Program. Carolyn was the best! Always answered our questions thoroughly with amazing detail. I hesitated to write a question because I knew she would spend a lot of her time answering our logistical inquiry about the to-dos in Boston and Cambridge! Our Son enjoyed his time there as well as his siblings and family-friends visits. A fold out cot provided a sleeping place for him during their stay. He brought a kick scooter which allowed him to get to campus in 5 minutes. This is our first experience with a VRBO and staying in the heart of a bustling area active with professionals and students.
